Yuji smiled, his excitement growing. It might be harder to win, but... Who was he? He was Yuji Itadori, the new king of curses.
"You're finally here, Okkotsu. I was wondering when you were going to arrive, but in the end, it was just time for you to show up." Yuji smiled even more, his blood boiling with excitement. Yuta had his usual serious expression when he was about to fight.
"I'm sorry, Maki, I took so long, but you can leave this fight in my hands." Yuta moved. Maki lay on the ground, breathing heavily. Megumi appeared, taking Maki away.
"So... Are we going to fight now?" Itadori's smile turned wild, pure excitement and satisfaction, but the pink-haired man had to raise one of his hands to block Yuta's attack with his forearm.
But when they were about to make another move, two individuals arrived, their presences impressively familiar.
"That cursed energy..."
Yuta and Yuji looked at those two individuals in surprise, especially the tall one with white hair.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Yuji swung his hand, taking advantage of Yuta's carelessness to try to hit him, but Yuta dodged and launched a downward spinning kick, striking Yuji's head.
Yuji and Yuta's movements became faster, more precise, reaching the level where they left afterimages. They ran all over Shinjuku, punching, crushing their own knuckles against each other's skin, but in a moment of carelessness, Yuta was sent flying, crashing. They fought for hours on end. Maybe they didn't know it, and they didn't care. They only fought for the pleasure of the thrill. Even Gojo Satoru went through this, with someone in particular. Their injuries began to slow down their movements, until Yuji couldn't take it anymore and had to leave. Not because he was defeated, but because he was tired. Yuta was like that too. It could be said that, once again, Itadori Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu were tied. Neither the sorcerers nor the curses won. A bitter draw for both of them.
But Itadori wasn't going to leave without saying something. He passed with Mahito, with Sukuna, and Yuta would be no exception.
"Okkotsu, you are strong, don't doubt it... But mark my words, in the end, only an ideal will remain."
After saying that, Itadori left, tired and wounded. Yuta, for his part, sighed. He would wait. He was patient, and if it takes years to happen, then it's for the best.
A few hours passed after that frustrating outcome, but for Itadori, fighting against his best friend was the best, fighting against Okkotsu was wonderful, fighting against Maki was pure satisfaction, but most importantly for Yuji, it was seeing that star that illuminated his darkest days, that banished his biggest nightmares and made his heart race; he had managed to see Nobara once again, even if only for a short time.
- Hmmm... Now that that's done... What do I do? - Yuji smiled, not a mocking smile, but one of confusion. He never thought he would run out of ideas, but apparently, that was quite possible. He had exhausted all his ideas in the fight in Shinjuku and Shibuya. That would be interesting to see, but more importantly, he had shown the sorcerers a hidden card, Fire Arrow, the technique used by Sukuna in Shibuya and Shinjuku.
Yuji walked on, until he saw something that made his heart race, a small insect, a bombardier beetle, moving calmly, oblivious to Yuji. A smile spread across Yuji's face, a chaotic, stupid, crazy idea, but in the end, an idea.
- Thank you, little friend, you gave me a good idea.- Yuji picked up some dry leaves and placed them near the beetle, and as he walked, he reviewed Japanese history, until he reached August 6 and 9, 1945, an important date for Japan and the entire world, as they were the first nuclear bombs used in a war, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Yuta was so anxious that he never thought he would get to have a hot bath, relaxing his mind and dissipating his anxiety. The tranquility that followed was undoubtedly glorious; the peace and quiet were so comforting that several people were able to rest and have a more than good day.
A guttural sigh escaped Nobara's mouth. She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her body. She walked around the place until she reached her wardrobe and grabbed new clothes. Nobara began to clean her body. The smile on her face was more than enough to betray her tranquility. Nobara moved, reached her desk, and saw a photo that she treasured with all her being.
The photo itself was simple, a picture where Yuji, Megumi, Gojo and she appear; that photo had been taken on an abnormally quiet day, two days before the Shibuya incident, two days before the hell that envelops the world of witchcraft became clear to the students.
I'm sorry if it's short and why it took so long; my stationery got lost and now I'm in a big problem.
