Marcus sat at his desk on the executive floor of Apex Holdings, reviewing quarterly projections that Sam had sent over that morning. The numbers were good, better than good, actually, the restructuring was working, investor confidence was up, and the board had stopped questioning every decision he made.
Being CEO was exhausting, but Marcus was finding his rhythm.
A knock on his door pulled him from the spreadsheet. "Come in."
Ethan burst through the door with the kind of enthusiasm that could only mean something exciting or ridiculous had happened. Given that it was Ethan, probably both.
"You need to see this," Ethan said, waving his phone.
Marcus leaned back in his chair. "Good morning to you too."
"Yeah, yeah, morning." Ethan dropped into one of the chairs across from Marcus's desk and thrust his phone forward. "Look."
