The basement was cold.
Ryan stood in front of the two cells, his expression empty as he looked at the men who'd destroyed his life.
Logan Jensen sat slumped against the wall, his shattered legs stretched awkwardly in front of him, wrapped in bloody bandages that did the bare minimum to keep him alive. Jasper was still zip-tied to his chair, his face a mess of dried blood and swelling.
Both of them looked up when Ryan entered, and Marcus saw fear flicker across their faces.
Kane stood behind Ryan, his expression carefully neutral. Marcus stayed near the stairs, his stomach already churning with what he knew was about to happen.
"You first," Ryan said, looking at Logan.
Kane moved forward and dragged Logan's chair to the center of the room, Logan screamed as his legs shifted, the sound muffled by the gag still in his mouth. Kane removed it roughly.
Ryan pulled up another chair and sat down directly in front of Logan, close enough that their knees almost touched.
