"Welcome to Mingdu," Jing Hongchen said proudly.
He launched a signal orb. It exploded, forming a toad-shaped emblem in the sky.
"Without clearance, we'd be shot down long before entering," he laughed.
As they flew into Mingdu at nearly 800 meters altitude, the shock intensified.
Neon lights, wide roads, orderly blocks, crowds moving below, bustling and radiant.
Further ahead, clusters of ancient-style buildings glowed under red soul lamps—like returning to another era.
"This must be the commercial district," someone murmured.
