A majority of the basics were going over the importance of visualization and understanding what Fire Magic would entail, like how the intent behind your spells and what you wanted it to do could drastically alter how impactful said spells were.
Again, it was the basics, but it was the intermediary sections that began to expand on those ideas that captured my attention, specifically with how structuring your spells could take them to the next level.
What I was doing with the Fireball was simple structuring - according to the Inferno Compendium - since I was creating the sphere and then adding on some extra steps to make it more powerful.
The stance I took with it and the way I spun it between my hands before throwing it forwards was a 'structure' I had taken with the spell, and this was something I had experienced beforehand; structuring something just made it better and more cohesive in general when compared to 'raw' spell casting.
