The rain lashed against the huge glass windows of Ramba's family mansion.
Inside, silence was louder than the storm outside. She stood in the grand hall, clutching the divorce papers that would end her five-year marriage.
Her heart raced.
Ramba (thinking): "So this is it… the end. Signed, sealed, over."
Downstairs, Rohan, her husband and the city's cold-hearted CEO, was busy with his phone, eyes unreadable, fingers tapping impatiently on the table.
He was calm, almost unnervingly so.
Rohan (thinking): "A marriage isn't just papers… but sometimes, it has to be ended. She'll sign. She has no choice."
Scene 2 – The Emotional Plea
Ramba walked towards him, holding the papers tightly. Her voice trembled, but her resolve showed in her posture.
Ramba: "Rohan… before we sign this… just one hug. I don't want money. I don't want your promises.
Just that one hug… to remember we were… something once."
Rohan froze. The storm outside seemed to pause as if listening.
Rohan (thinking): "A hug? One hug… will that really matter?"
Scene 3 – The Hesitation
For a long moment, he didn't move. His hands were stiff at his sides. Then, with a reluctant sigh, he stepped forward. He wrapped his arms around her.
It was brief, awkward… but then something unexpected happened.
The warmth of her presence, the subtle heartbeat pressed against his chest, broke through the cold shell he had built for years.
Rohan (thinking, shocked): "Why… why does this feel… alive?"
Ramba closed her eyes, allowing herself to feel it fully. Her lips curled into a faint smile, tears soaking into his shirt.
Scene 4 – Memories Unfold
As they held each other, memories flashed:
Their first meeting at the office party.
Ramba's mischievous laugh when she stole his files by mistake.
The night they ran through the rain together in college, both drenched and laughing.
The small arguments that ended in tiny, reluctant smiles.
Rohan's arms stiffened slightly. His mind was a storm of past affection he had buried deep.
Rohan (thinking): "She was never just anyone… she was everything.
I never admitted I wanted."
Scene 5 – The Unexpected Twist
Ramba pulled back slightly, tears in her eyes.
Ramba (whispering): "Thank you… this hug gives me strength to move on."
Rohan's hands lingered on her wrists. His eyes, usually cold and unreadable, now flickered with someverything to regret, longing, confusion.
Rohan: "Move on? Do you think… one hug can erase everything?
One hug… changes nothing… yet it changes everything."
A silent tension filled the room. Outside, the storm raged, but inside, time felt suspended.
Scene 6: "The Cliffhanger Ending"
Ramba backed away and turned towards the door, ready to leave.
Ramba: "Goodbye, Rohan."
Rohan's voice stopped her:
Rohan (low, intense): "No… don't go. Not yet. This isn't over."
The storm outside mirrored their hearts—chaotic, unpredictable, and alive.
