The Multiversal Device erupted in a dazzling light. As Dominic's punch completely destroyed the core, the entire laboratory began to shake violently. The spatial cracks rapidly closed around the device, the surrounding structures gradually collapsed, and explosions echoed through the palace. Dominic stood before the wreckage of the device, his figure silhouetted by the firelight like the last hero on the battlefield.
"Mission accomplished," he murmured, turning towards the exit.
The battlefield outside was a scene of devastation, Apocalypse's palace already largely collapsed. The team members gathered one by one atop the ruins, tired but unharmed. Eddie was arguing with Venom about needing more 'combat snacks,' and Deadpool jumped down from the wreckage of a robot, shaking off the oil from his hands. "Alright guys, how are we planning to end this scene? Heroes save the World, then each go their separate ways?"
Logan, a cigarette dangling from his lips, clearly had no interest in joining Deadpool's rant. He simply stood at the edge of the battlefield, watching the lingering aftershocks of the fight in the distance.
The group watched Magneto, who was rising from beside Apocalypse's corpse, covered in bloodstains, his armor damaged, his face pale but still retaining its arrogance. His gaze swept over Deadpool and the others, a cold curve lifting the corner of his mouth.
"Are you going to kill me?" His voice held weariness and contempt.
Deadpool's mouth twitched. "Aw, isn't this dialogue a bit cliché? Isn't this just a classic Hollywood trope? The villain gets redeemed at the last minute, then the heroes hesitate for a bit and finally decide to give him a chance." He theatrically wiped his eyes. "Boohoo, so touching, I'm going to cry."
Logan spat out his cigarette butt and glared at Deadpool. "Shut up, Wade."
Then, he looked at Magneto. "The Magneto of this World is not the Magneto of my World." His tone was calm, even somewhat indifferent. "There's no need for us to waste any more time."
Deadpool spread his hands. "Wow, what profound lines, absolutely perfect for an awards ceremony."
Dominic glanced at Magneto, his gaze indifferent. "Mission accomplished, the rest is none of our business. Let's go."
Magneto didn't reply. He simply watched everyone coldly, a hint of complex emotion in his eyes, but ultimately chose silence.
When everyone gathered together, Deadpool clapped Dominic on the shoulder. "So, now that the Universe-saving mission is over, are we all going home?"
Dominic raised an eyebrow. "Looks like it."
Deadpool tilted his head back and sighed, then flashed his signature grin. "Seriously, the writers didn't even give us a happy family ending. Look, we're covered in blood, our clothes are in tatters, and there's no warm closing scene. How about this—" He suddenly turned and yelled at the empty sky. "Hey! Writers! Give us a few shots showing our happy lives after returning to normal!"
America raised a hand. "My World, I'm not going back. I plan to go with Loki."
Loki looked up at her, his expression seeming to hold a bit of confusion and helplessness. "Alright," he said casually.
"Wow, is this an official announcement?" Deadpool clapped excitedly. "This is even more dramatic than I imagined."
Miles covered his face helplessly. "Can we be a bit more serious?"
Peter shrugged beside him. "Give up, Wade can't be serious for more than five seconds."
Hearing this, Deadpool pretended to be thoughtful. "Oh, no no no, I can be serious for six seconds, if you beg me."
The team burst into laughter, but amidst the jokes, the tired group also felt a rare sense of ease.
Deadpool pulled out a worn-out teleportation device from his pouch. Its metal edges were stained with an unknown liquid. He picked up the device and held it up. "Alright heroes, it's time to say goodbye! Press your grubby paws on here, let's experience the final carnival of multiversal teleportation together!"
Miles raised his hand, hesitating for a moment. "This device won't have any side effects, right? Like teleporting us to a desolate desert, or just dropping us into some alien prison?"
"Uh, side effects?" Deadpool put on a surprised expression. "Of course there are! But don't worry, this thing won't kill you, it'll just make you *want* to die." He winked, flashing an exaggerated wicked grin. "Just kidding, hurry up and press it."
Everyone reluctantly pressed their hands onto the device. Deadpool yelled in an exaggerated tone, "Multiversal Teleportation! Activate!" Accompanied by a blinding flash of light, their figures were swallowed up, and then, their fates unfolded individually.
Eddie and Venom
Eddie tumbled off the sofa, knocking over the nearby trash can as he hit the floor. He rubbed his head and looked around. It was his apartment, the dust in the corner still there from when he last moved.
"Wow, we're finally back!" Venom's voice echoed in his mind. "I hate those spandex-wearing humans, especially that blabbermouth Deadpool!"
Eddie rubbed his forehead, giving a wry smile. "He talks a lot, but we're free now, aren't we?"
Venom's voice was full of complaint. "Free? You broke human, our fridge is empty, and bills are piled up on the table! I want to eat live brains!"
Eddie rolled his eyes. "Calm down, I'll find a job, stop rushing me."
"Job?" Venom sneered. "How about we rob a bank instead? That's much faster."
"No!" Eddie shouted, slapping the table. "I'm unlucky enough as it is, I don't need any more trouble!"
Venom was silent for a few seconds, then said faintly, "Alright then, but you have to buy me some chocolate first, otherwise don't even think about sleeping."
Logan
Wolverine stood before the familiar academy gate, slowly exhaling. The moment his figure appeared, the children at the entrance cheered, "It's Logan! Logan is back!"
Professor X's wheelchair glided out from the depths of the hall, a relieved smile on his face. "Welcome back, Logan."
"You should thank Dominic," Logan muttered, but a subtle smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. He lowered his head to pat a child's hair and turned to walk into the academy. Those hands, once stained with blood, once again became the symbol of a Guardian.
Miles
Miles dragged his backpack into the classroom. Just as he sat down, someone patted his shoulder. "Hey, how does the new semester feel?"
He looked up and saw his good friend Gwen. Miles smiled. "It's good, just still a bit tired."
During the break, Miles sat on the rooftop, his mind replaying the adventure. He looked towards the distant horizon, taking a deep breath. "Spider-Man's life is never easy, but this is my responsibility."
Peter
Peter picked up a few boxes of takeout from the pizza place and rode his bike through the streets and alleys. On one delivery, he met a strange girl. The two argued because she had ordered the wrong food. Finally, Peter simply sat down next to her and opened the takeout. "Since that's the case, let's eat together."
The girl smiled. "You're really strange, but this pizza does smell good."
The two chatted casually, Peter's smile growing brighter and brighter. There was a long-lost sense of ease in his eyes.
Loki and America
Loki stood in the center of the Asgard town, his hands in his pockets, his gaze slightly arrogant. He looked at America. "Since you've decided to stay, don't cause me any trouble."
America raised an eyebrow. "Trouble? Don't forget who saved you in the fight."
Loki snorted coldly. "I don't need your help."
America spread her hands. "Come on, Loki, the people in this town are more straightforward than you."
Thor walked by from the side, laughing as he clapped Loki on the shoulder. "Brother, looks like you've found an interesting companion."
Loki rolled his eyes at him, but a subtle, almost imperceptible smile seemed to appear at the corner of his mouth.
Deadpool
After Deadpool appeared in his own Universe, the first thing he did was complain to the camera. "Hey, TVA, listen up! My teammates this time were too strong, alright? How could you give me such a role, he didn't even leave me the final scene! This isn't fair, I'm a fan favorite!"
He rolled an exaggerated eye. "I should go protest to the writers, or—how about just making a standalone movie called 'Deadpool vs. Dominic'? What do you guys think?" He waved his hand at the air, as if interacting with an audience.
...
Dominic stood on a street in an unfamiliar city. The surrounding scene was both familiar and strange. The night lights spilled onto the wet streets, reflecting a hazy interplay of light and shadow. He looked up at the twinkling starlight in the sky, frowning slightly. The air here lacked his familiar scent, and everything around him was excessively quiet.
He looked down at his hand, which surprisingly held a familiar device—Deadpool's multiversal traversal device. The metal casing of the device emitted a faint glow, stained with oil from Deadpool's hands and some unidentifiable smudges. Dominic frowned. When did Deadpool shove this thing onto him?
Just as he was about to examine it, the device suddenly lit up, and an extremely comical sound effect accompanied the words that popped up on the screen—'WHAT IF...?'
Dominic narrowed his eyes, staring at the words, a cold smile playing on his lips. He shook his head slightly, gripping the device tighter, and murmured, "What game are you playing now?"
The air around him seemed to freeze for a moment. In the distance, a few low sounds of unknown origin could be heard, as if the World had sighed in a place he hadn't noticed. He raised his head, looking at the sky again. The starlight seemed to flicker slightly as he gazed.
Dominic stood still on the street, the reflection of the surrounding lights elongating his figure. He looked down again. Deadpool's device lay quietly in his palm, emitting a light that filled him with unease. He clenched his fist, his smile deepening.
"Looks like I have to keep playing."
