Night fell over the forest by the stream. They continued walking side by side, the gentle flow of water echoing the rhythm of their hearts.
Suddenly, a shadow emerged from the bushes. Mintra stepped closer to him, a flash of fear running through her heart.
"Don't be afraid. I'm right here," he whispered by her ear. She felt a warmth replacing the fear inside her.
They stood facing the shadow together, their fingers interlaced even tighter.
"Whatever it is, we'll get through it together," she said with quiet determination.
The shadow slowly retreated, leaving only the moonlight reflecting on the water.
