Chapter 2 - The plan

On a bright and sunny day, Iaa, Aravali, Shiva, and Sita strolled along the tree-lined path to the university, their laughter filling the air. As the warm breeze rustled the leaves overhead, they excitedly discussed their plans for a sleepover at Iaa and Aravali's cozy home. The prospect of late-night games, delicious snacks, and catching up on their favorite shows made the journey feel even more exhilarating. With each step, their anticipation grew, and they couldn't help but envision the fun-filled evening ahead of them. his

"And we will stay up all night," said Sita with a sparkle in her eyes, excitement palpable in her voice. "What about the food?" asked Aravali, her stomach grumbling slightly. She was a true foodie, always thinking about her next meal, even during moments of adventure. "Oh, Aravali, you and your never-ending thoughts about food—can't you focus on the fun for once?" teased Iaa with a playful grin. "I think we should explore that haunted attic of yours. It could lead to some thrilling discoveries," suggested Shiva, her enthusiasm infectious as she leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "Hey, horror freak! You know I'm the scaredy-cat among all of you," Aravali replied, her voice tinged with both apprehension and amusement. The thought of the eerie attic sent shivers down her spine, but she couldn't help but want to be part of the adventure.

"Fine, I will take part in this."

"Then let's meet at midnight," said Shiva."Midnight?!" exclaimed Aravali, widening her eyes. "You know that's the witching hour, right?""Exactly! That's what will make it adventurous," replied Iaa."No way, I'm not doing that," Aravali insisted."Aravali, come on! Let's do this. We can create a memorable experience, okay? Just for the memories," said Sita."Fine, I'll do it for the memories," Aravali agreed."Alright then, we'll go there at midnight."

 8:37 PM

"Hey, we've arrived at your doorstep! Please open the door!" Sita exclaimed enthusiastically, her knuckles rapping against the wood with a rhythmic urgency. The sound echoed in the quiet hallway, a cheerful invitation to the gathering that awaited inside.

"I'm on my way, just a moment!" Iaa called back, her voice filled with excitement as she hurriedly made her way to the door, her heart racing with anticipation of the evening ahead. She flung the door open, revealing her friends standing there, their faces lit up with joy.

"So, what culinary masterpiece have you whipped up today, Chef Aravali?" Shiva inquired, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she stepped inside, the aroma of spices wafting through the air.

With a proud smile, Aravali replied, "I've meticulously crafted a feast that includes butter paneer masala, fluffy garlic naan, sweet gulab jamun, fragrant biryani, steaming momos, zesty paneer tikka, and rich dal makhani. However, since I ran out of gas while cooking, I thought it would be a great idea to order some pizza to complement the meal!"

"That's it? Pizza alongside all those delicious dishes?" Iaa said with a hint of sarcasm, raising an eyebrow as she crossed her arms, a playful smirk dancing on her lips.

"Sorrow," Aravali replied dramatically, feigning despair at the unexpected twist in her culinary plans.

"Well, umm... let's not waste any more time! Let's dive into our meal, and then we can enjoy some delightful conversations and laughter afterward," Sita suggested, her enthusiasm infectious as she clapped her hands together, eager to start the feast.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie as they settled around the table, ready to indulge in the delicious spread that Aravali had prepared, along with the surprise pizza that would surely add an element of fun to their gathering. The evening promised to be filled with joy, laughter, and the creation of cherished memories, as they savored each bite and shared stories that would linger long after the last crumb had been devoured.

11:56 pm

As they enjoyed and chatted with each other, time flew and it was time to go to the haunted attic of their home, although Iaa and Aravali's father denied to go in the attic because it is filled with insects and it looked kind of scary but why are they gonna listen to their father for a memory.

So, they proceeded to go in the attic. Everyone was nervous but they didn't told each other.

As the group gathered their courage to explore the attic, a sudden burst of adrenaline surged through Iaa. "OH SHOOT!" she exclaimed, her voice echoing through the dimly lit hallway, startling everyone around her. The sound was so loud and unexpected that it sent a wave of panic rippling through the group.

In a moment of sheer instinct, Aravali's heart raced as she let out a terrified scream, "AHHHHH GHOST!" She bolted towards the house, her feet pounding against the wooden floor as if she were being chased by an unseen specter. However, as she skidded to a halt and turned around, she was met with the sight of her friends standing still, their expressions a mix of confusion and amusement. Realizing that there was no ghost lurking in the shadows, Aravali's heart began to slow, and a sheepish grin spread across her face.

"SCAREDY CAT!" teased Shiva and Sita in unison, their laughter ringing out like music in the air. The tension that had filled the room moments before dissipated, replaced by a lighthearted camaraderie that only friends could share.

"What happened?" Sita asked, her brow furrowing slightly as she tried to piece together the commotion.

"I forgot the keys to the attic downstairs," Iaa admitted, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. The realization hit her like a wave; she had been so caught up in the thrill of the moment that she had neglected to grab the essential key.

"Seriously, you scared me!" Aravali exclaimed, still catching her breath from her earlier sprint. The adrenaline was still coursing through her veins, and she couldn't help but feel a mix of annoyance and relief.

"Sorry!" Iaa replied, her voice laced with sincerity as she offered a sheepish smile.

After a brief moment of silence, Iaa dashed back downstairs, her heart racing not just from the excitement but also from the urgency of the situation. She rummaged through the drawers and cabinets, her mind racing as she searched for the elusive key. Finally, with a triumphant shout, she found it nestled between some old books.

With the key in hand, she hurried back to her friends, who were still waiting in the hallway, their expressions a blend of anticipation and amusement. "Got it!" she declared, holding the key aloft like a trophy.

With a sense of accomplishment, Iaa approached the attic door, her fingers trembling slightly as she inserted the key into the lock. The sound of the lock clicking open echoed in the stillness, and she took a deep breath, ready to unveil the mysteries that lay beyond the door. As she pushed the door open.
