When he opened his eyes next, he was on med bed, but it was not in the hospital, he was sure of it, but it was similar. He tried to move, and felt a sudden pain on his abdomen, he looked down, and saw a bandage tied to her stomach.
" Krishna." He saw Priya coming from his right, holding a board in his hand. She tossed the board aside, and came to his side worriedly.
" Krishna are you ok?" She asked, with a little worry on his face. She checked his temperature and other vitals.
" I'm,,, I'm ok." He said, in a low voice.
" What happened? Who did this to, who can possibly do this to you?" And before he could say anything, another figure rushed into the room.
" Krishna are you ok?" Came the voice of his sister, Sakshi. And she directly opened her mouth canon, and Priya needed to stop her.
And after a while, Krishna answered.
" So let me get this straight." And then pointed at Krishna.
" You said Dr Arya, our Dr Arya. He wants to be a God, and he offered you a position of God beside him, and so does our dear Father, and when you didn't answer, he beat the shit out of you? He, who could even climb stairs properly." And she waved her hand, his head full of confusion.
" I felt it, Sakshi. He was really strong. And -" And Krishna looked conflicted.
" See, I said, he has become the villain of the story. I told you he'll-"
" Shut up. Sakshi." Yelled Priya, shutting her down, but she didn't listen.
" Why, his thinking has become dangerous, don't you see, he injured Krishna for no reason, he'll sooner or later get the idea to destroy the world."
" Shut up Sakshi, and it wasn't you who couldn't believe it was Dr Arya for the first time." Said Priya.
" That was before his villainous monologue and stuff, can't you see, he'll soon go mad,and -"
" Shut up, shut up, we should stop making noise and focus on our current problem." And he she looked at Krishna.
" Did he say where he was going or what he was gonna do?"
" He disappeared from there, and I don't know where he went, but he said he wanted to build a pantheon." And Sakshi perked up.
" So he's gonna do experiments."
" Yes, he'll need a lab and the-"
" The lab was stolen, don't you remember. It's probably him. He wants to make the gods himself, and become the creator of Gods. Is he going mad or something." And Priya glared at her for interrupting her midway, which Sakshi ignored, and looked at her brother again..
" How are we gonna stop him then?" Asked Sakshi, and Priya looked at her annoyed
" I mean, dad said it before, he is dangerous. And see, Krish isn't his opponent at all, what if he goes rough."
" It's not necessary." Came a voice came from the door. And it was Rohit. They all looked at him, and Rohit brought a whiteboard towards them .
" Let me explain." And he started to draw a DNA structure, and in a few minutes, he was done.
" What did I draw?" He asked. And Priya replied.
" And whose?" He asked not paying her any attention, looking aloof. She didn't ponder and looked at the whiteboard, and guessed.
" Dr Arya?"
" Yes." And then he pointed at a part which is designated for evolution and growth.
" If you are a top scientist, you can tell everything about a person's height and health just by looking at this. Everyone's height and skin color growth can be seen in this. And in Dr Arya's case, this part of the DNA is evolving in a rapid speed due to his gene augmentation serum, what he thinks is evolution is actually a slow death. In scientific term -"
"English," Sakshi added.
" In simple terms, his body won't be able to bear his increased demand and supply, his cell will go black and he will die soon. No matter what he does, or even if builds a new body it won't gonna work, there isn't an energy source big enough to fix him." And seeing this Krishna asked.
" But he looked fit to me." And Rohit looked at him, and turned.
" The glory before dawn. His genes will collapse or his body ." And he started to wipe the DNA out.
" What if he could cure himself?" Krishna asks back.
" It's impossible, he'll die before he can find the answer."
" He said he had already surpassed you in Science."
" Good for me then." He said, and wiped the board down, and then sat beside. Krishna, and then looked at Sakshi.
" Aren't you, being late for class?" He asked, not questioning but stating. And when she wanted to argue, she noticed his face and quietly shut up, and left the room, not before giving Priya and them a last look. And seeing Sakshi's look, Priya understood something and also excused herself. And now, son and father are alone. And they both remained quiet for a while, not looking at each other, and after a while, Rohit asked.
" Did Granny ever talk about me?" And Krishna replied in negative.
" She always said or made it depending on her mood." And Rohit chuckles a little.
" So what did you expect from your father? Have you ever imagined what I was like?" And Krishna didn't reply for a while, and after some thinking he replied.
" Just like Granny I guess." He didn't have much emotion.
" Angry and hot-tempered?" Ask Rohit, and Krishna laughed a little.
" No!" Was his reply.
" So were you disappointed to see me or something?" Asked Rohit, not looking at his eyes.
" No, I was sad I guess, plus Priya." And Rohit clearly.
" I was going to meet you in the evening, but things happened, and we didn't meet properly, and then things happened." And he looked like he wanted to say something, but he was hesitating, and after a while he said it.
" I'm sorry." And it was sincere, he didn't remember saying sorry to anyone before, so that counts. Krishna was surprised to hear that, he didn't really expect him to say sorry or something.
" I'm sorry for what happened to you in your childhood, I'm sorry you grew up without a mom and dad, I'm sorry for everything. I was just worried about my research that I forgot about feelings." And he stopped, and Krishna remained silent, but his eyes were a little bit more clear.
" I understand, but Dr Arya,will he die?"
" He tried to kill you Krishna." Rohit stated.
" But,,, I'm-"
" No Krishna. If you think he is worthy of your forgiveness then it's ok, but remember, he is worthy of your forgiveness only once. If you forgive them every time, People will take your kindness as foolishness." and they continued talking.
