It was a night like any other when the moon hung low over the abandoned quarry, spilling its faint moonlight on the fifteen years old
Rovan and his white rat named Fluffy .
Being quiet as always, sketching in his black journal as he listened to Ellie and Jackson bragging about how excruciating tomorrow is going to be and that was surely because tomorrow was going to be their first day of freshman year.
"So are we not gonna discuss the fact that this is the right age for the three of us to finally find girlfriends and boyfriends?!" Jackson's question catched his attention.
"I would rather die as a virgin than to date anyone in our school!" Ellie escalated her thoughts with a disgusted look as she continued "most of the boys look like a mixture of stone age men with baggy clothes on."
Jackson turned his head towards Rovan and asked him "What about you Ro-bro?" in the hope that he will agree on that part.
"High-School is like a prison and if I'm going in a prison the only part of my plan will be to survive and survive only." he said it with a firm look.
"WOW! This alone just proves how hopeful this group really is for the freshman year of high school!" Jackson pouted then continued "ok apart from love life don't you guys have any manifestations, wishes or desires or anything!!"
Ellie took a long pause before answering and then added that she wants to be part of a dance group and try to join any sports team so that she can find her place in the teenager life.
While Jackson replied that he wants a hot physique, a hot headed girlfriend and he wants to rock with his bandmates to the point they finally get invited to perform in cool events.
When they asked Rovan what he wanted, he answered "I hope I get a great mental health and to pursue my dream to become the best author of all time." Rovan said with a warm voice as he softly wrapped his arms around Fluffy who was on his lap.
"And?" Ellie added.
"And what?" Rovan asked in curiosity.
Ellie continued "Rovan, we noticed that in middle school we were your only friends and we are a little worried about you that you might feel left-out when we will be apart." Ellie said it with concern in her voice.
Jackson added "so can you promise us that by the end of this month, you will try and find a buddy?"
"No way! You guys know how hard it is for me to even talk to the customer care services! I'm not gonna make any friends. I already have you guys and that's more than enough." Rovan barked.
"Please Rovy, if not for yourself then do it for us." Ellie pleaded.
"Ok fine, but only if i find someone who will be worth my time." Rovan said.
