My name is Brian. I come from a small town in Texas called Georgetown.
Today, I died. And this is how it happened.
I was walking back from the store down the street from my house when suddenly—
HONNNNK!
Yeah… I got hit by a truck. And yes, I know, that's the most generic way to die ever.
"Dying to Truck-kun." Hilarious, right?
Anyway, that's how I died. But what's really concerning me is…
WHY THE HELL AM I IN AN EGG?!
And more importantly—how do I get out of this damned thing so I can see where I am?
Three days later…
I've been poking the inside of the egg, wriggling, shifting around—but nothing's working.
I need to get out.
Twelve months later…
Crack!
Finally—a small hole. I can peek outside.
…Huh? …AAAHHHHH!
T-There's a d-dragon n-next to m-me!
"Huh, one of my younglings is starting to hatch. I wonder why so early? Oh—it's the biggest egg."
Crack!
The shell splits further.
Wait… Younglings?
Am I one of its children? But—I know I died on the way to the hospital after getting hit by that truck.
Crack!
The egg bursts apart, and now I'm completely exposed.
"Oh? The biggest egg has hatched, but… you're unusually small for a dragon. Still, there's no mistake. You are a dragon—one of my children."
"No good. You will not do."
Before I can react, my new mother picks me up… and throws me off a cliff.
Ahhhhhhh! I don't want to die again!
SPLASH!
I crash into a pond.
At least I remember how to swim—though it's a lot harder now with four legs and wings.
Oh, come on! I get reborn as a dragon, and my mother immediately tosses me off a cliff?!
Fine. Whatever. If that's how it is, then I'll just have to make my own way in this new world.
