"..wh...where in the world am I?" Surpised and filled with an endless fear, Klaus, a young man with shoulder-length black hair, with matching onyx eyes, ghostly pale skin, and a thin body that seemed too frail for his age, looked at his surroundings
Surrounding him was a hellscape. Mountains that reached the skies that weilded and unending tempest. Deep black lakes with creatures that would coil around skyscrapers. Deformed himunoid titans, all over twenty meters tall, walking with thundering footsteps.
Demonic wolves, birds, reptiles, and much more are all fighting in a battle of dominance and survival.
In the far distance, an endless tower that was just as high as the mountains with giant, floating, dark blue eyes that seemed to pierce your soul. Exposing you in your most valid form.
Slowly, as his mind attempted to wrap around his current predicament, Klaus stood up, still dressed in his hospital gown. He felt more naked and exposed than he ever had.
"I..I was just going to the bathroom...h-how could this happen... no, no, this can't be real, it can't." Still struggling to accept that he was no longer in the hospital, Klaus began to pinch himself and smack his cheek, believing that he was still in a dream.
While in the middle of his hope of leaving the dream scene, he heard the sounds of what seemed to be footsteps behind him coming from the nearby woods of pitch black oak with blood red leaves that bore vines that fell to the ground like pools of blood and a red ember that glowed like blood-filled vines.
"garhh...ahhh,"
As the raspy, incoherent voice came closer to the edge of the woods, Klaus took a step back, his most primal instincts of survival telling his body to run.
"Move, damn it...come on, move!" he said at his legs as he stood shaking at the source of the sound, which got closer.
Looking back at the woods, he saw a dark grey hand twice the size of his own grab the tree. As it did, the creature pulled its body forward, exposing itself to Kluas, who felt a shiver run down his spine at the sight.
It was a person, or what was left of them. On one side, there was a decaying grey corpse of a human male with long, disheveled hair, while on the other side, what seemed to be a humanoid outline of the tree grew on its body. But unlike the trees that had a red ember at their center, these creatures had dark red, almost black blood pouring from the bark.
Spotting the petrified Klaus, the creature's eyes went wide like a wild animal as it began charging at Klaus with what seemed to be an unyielding hunger.
Finally getting control of his legs, Klaus began running, running like he never had before. After being hospitalized for over ten years, Klaus never got the chance to play sports like the kids his age. He was never allowed to exercise unless it was for physical therapy to keep his body functional. So now running in the woods with slippers and nowhere to hide, it did not take long until the creature was a few feet from Kluas.
As he tried to run faster, he could feel his body giving up, unable to take the sudden strain placed on it after all these years. Tripping from a sudden ditch, Klaus slammed into the floor, rolling a few feet before stopping.
Covered in dirt, blood, and scratched, Klaus tried to crawl away, but the deformed amalgamation of human tree slowly crept towards him.
(No...I....I'm going to die,) Klaus, though, tears running down his face from the pain, the fear, and the suddenness of it all hitting him like a truck.
Suddenly, while he was about to grab a tree branch, he felt a hand grab his leg. Turning back to see the creature holding his leg, the fear of death hit him even more as the blood began covering his leg.
As the warm blood from the hand reached his leg, he tried to pull away, but he then felt the heat from the blood only grew more and more until it burned. Burned like the embers from the tree.
"GAHHH...let me go!!! Please, please," Klaus screamed in pure agony, pulling his leg and fitting back as much as he could
But to the soulless, hunger-filled creature, those words meant nothing as he hovered over Kluas, ripping his garments and ripping the skin off of Klaus's back.
"GAHHHHH....FUCK!!!" Klaus yelled as the pelling and burning sensation became too much for him
As the creature tore more into Klaus, he suddenly felt all of the ripping stop as the pressure on his back was lifted. Filled with adrenaline and pain, Klaus struggled to look around but found the creature's neck in the maw of a large white-furred wolf that seemed to be made from clouds with blood orange eyes and a mark on its forehead and complete lower body.
Looking down at the bleeding and bruised Klaus, the wolf placed down the dead creature and walked up to Klaus. Sniffing his body, the wolf paused for a moment before walking back to the creature, picking it up, and walking away, leaving the weakened Klaus in surprise.
Bloody and on the drink of death, Klaus couldn't help but curse the being that brought him there, the being that ripped him from his old life, just to die before he could understand what happened to him.
As his vision began to blur and his life began to leave him, he could see the wolf begin to walk back to him with a glowing white orb within its mouth.
But before he could even fully make out the image, he lost the strength to hold on to his vision, which turned to darkness as he was filled with an endless cold.
