Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 - Young and Ignorant Yuhao

"What a huge palace! I'm glad I didn't waste time, otherwise I really wouldn't have caught up with him."

Su Yu, twelve years old, his martial spirit an unknown mirror, the son of a wealthy merchant in the Xingluo Empire's capital. While his future status might not rival Huo Yuhao's, for now, he was certainly far superior from him who just servant's son.

He had initially believed he possessed a powerful martial spirit, but upon learning his innate spirit power was only level five, he abandoned all other assumptions.

Furthermore, he also had another identity: a twenty-first-century time traveler from Blue Star (Earth).

Self-proclaimed from someone who had slipped through the nine years of compulsory education, he made a bold decision: since he couldn't do it, he might as well cling to Yuhao's leg.

If he be able to cling to Yuhao's leg, at least he would have a share of the magical grass from the Yin-Yang Eyes of Ice and Fire.

And now he headed towards the White Tiger Duke's residence, constantly wondering what time it was since he'd traveled through time.

Although he knew the plot of Peerless Tang Sect, that didn't mean he had complete control over it. After all, the original author had written it casually, so what could you possibly guess?

After all, in the Xingluo Empire's capital, it wasn't difficult to gather a little information, especially from someone as underappreciated as Huo Yuhao. With clever timing, north of the White Tiger Duke's residence, Su Yu, who had been waiting for a long time, finally smiled.

Although Huo Yuhao's spiritual eyes weren't fully developed yet, his vision was still far superior to Su Yu's.

His martial spirit was a mirror, so it wasn't difficult for him to detect someone's whereabouts. After all, unlike Huo Yuhao, who had lived in poverty since childhood, he naturally traveled much faster, arriving at the Star Dou Great Forest before him.

However, to his surprise, he also detected Huo Yuhao's whereabouts within the Star Dou Great Forest.

"Now it's all about my acting skills. Success or failure depends on this one."

Su Yu deliberately ripped his clothes with a branch and smeared himself with mud. Looking at his current appearance, Su Yu nodded with satisfaction. After all, given Huo Yuhao's personality, he might instinctively feel a certain aversion to those of different status. Given his living environment, this wasn't ruled out.

"I'm so hungry! Can you give me something to eat? I haven't eaten in three days..."

Su Yu feigned pity, gesturing with a trembling hand at Huo Yuhao's grilled fish.

 "Who are you?"

"My name is Su Yu. I've been separated from my family and don't know where I am. I haven't eaten in days. I followed the smell and came here. Can you give me something to eat? I have money, you can sell me some..."

Su Yu feigned trembling as he pulled a few bronze soul coins from his tattered clothes with his muddy hands.

'Damn, I'm going all out for my future success...'

Huo Yuhao was instinctively wary, but seeing Su Yu, just as dusty and ragged as himself, he lowered his guard.

"Eat quickly, you look quite pitiful..."

Huo Yuhao felt a pang of pain. Seeing the other man's miserable state, he couldn't bear it. He nodded and handed the grilled fish over. Su Yu took the fish and devoured it ravenously. Honestly, no wonder the Third Young Master had emphasized Huo Gua's grilled fish; it had to be something...

Just then, a voice caught Su Yu's attention.

He looked in the direction of the voice and saw two people walking along the stream. The one in front was a young girl, about fifteen or sixteen, with long black hair pulled back in a ponytail. Her light blue outfit gave her a youthful air. The girl had large, lively almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and a nearly perfect oval face. Her pretty face, with a hint of surprise, stared intently at Huo Yuhao's grilled fish.

Following behind the girl was a young man who looked about her age. He had a slender and upright figure, and his short, dark blue hair shone like a gem in the sunlight. Though he is young, air of elegance exuded from him. A lazy, gentle smile graced his handsome face. He clasped his hands behind his head, also looking at Huo Yuhao with interest, but he was looking at the man, not the grilled fish.

The girl in front of him had already leaped up to Huo Yuhao, her mouth watering with anticipation.

"Little brother, are you selling this grilled fish? It smells so good! How did you make it?"

Obviously those two is Tang Ya, one of the original story's main dark female characters, a descendant of the Tang Sect, and Bei Bei, a man who was tempted by her beauty.

The young Huo Yuhao was naturally overwhelmed by Tang Ya. According to the original storyline, the three of them were bound to play out a scene of warm-heartedness and mutual support. As they ate the grilled fish, Bei Bei noticed Su Yu, who had been sitting silently by the side.

"Hello, my name is Bei Bei. Are you Huo Yuhao's brother?"

Bei Bei was just Bei Bei. At least she couldn't compare to Tang Ya, a woman whose mind was solely focused on eating, cultivating, and restoring the Tang Sect.

"Hello, Brother Bei Bei, my name is Su Yu, and I'm Huo Yuhao's friend."

Friend?

Huo Yuhao was slightly moved by that word. After all, he had never had any friends since he was a child.

Seeing Su Yu's bewildered appearance, Bei Bei didn't ask any further questions. After all, the purpose of his trip was to accompany Tang Ya, and he didn't care about Su Yu. At this moment, Huo Yuhao stood up and said, "Brother Bei, Sister Tang, I have to leave first."

Ignoring their attempts to keep him, Huo Yuhao left. Seeing Huo Yuhao leave, Su Yu hurriedly chased after him. "Huo Yuhao, wait for me, I want to go with you."

Shamelessly, Su Yu followed him. For no other reason than to cling to this powerful figure today. No one can stop me, not even Tang San! Catching up with Huo Yuhao, Huo Yuhao was somewhat surprised, a touch of emotion shimmering in his beautiful eyes.

"Yuhao, I'm so grateful for saving me. Ever since you helped me, I've considered you my friend. Shouldn't friends help each other?"

Seeing Huo Yuhao's slightly touched expression, Su Yu's heart was filled with turmoil...

As a twenty-year-old youth, it's not right to deceive a child like this...

But for the sake of his own future, Su Yu decided to first extinguish his shame and conscience. After all, this thing is worth nothing. Staying alive is king!

"Su Yu, do you really consider me a friend?"

A light of emotion flickered in Huo Yuhao's large eyes. What he didn't know was that Su Yu not only considered him a friend, but also a close friend.

"Of course I do, if it weren't for you, I'd have starved to death here long ago. Since you helped me, you're my friend. Your problems are my problems, too. Besides, shouldn't friends help each other?"

Su Yu instantly disrupted Huo Yuhao's plans. It was perfectly normal for friends to help each other, and it seemed like there was nothing wrong with him following me...

The young Huo Yuhao was completely bewildered by Su Yu's impassioned rhetoric. At least for now, Huo Yuhao truly had no friends. It was rare to have one, so naturally, he wouldn't give up so easily.

Listening to Su Yu's words, Huo Yuhao said cheerfully, "Su Yu, I'm going to hunt soul beasts. Are you coming too?"

'You're kidding! Who would want to go with you? If it weren't for your soul-guiding knife, that wind baboon would have killed a god in a single battle.'

Su Yu spoke in a serious tone, then, looking at Huo Yuhao directly and said with a resolute expression, "I told you, your business, Huo Yuhao, is my business. Hunting soul beasts together will be easier. Besides, we're friends, aren't we?"

These words made Huo Yuhao's blood boil, as if he had met a close friend. After all, he was still young, and hunting soul beasts and obtaining soul rings was something he looked forward.

Now that he had a friend like Su Yu, how could Huo Yuhao not be happy?

For Huo Yuhao, who had always been bullied, all this seemed like a dream. Tricking a young and ignorant boy like him was a piece of cake, wasn't it?

Although Su Yu felt a little reluctant, how could someone who achieved great things be so obsessed with such trivial matters?
