Chapter 127: Susanoo, Complete Form!
"Don't think making such a giant will scare me!"
The Fourth Raikage barked as if he had found the answer to everything. His heart steadied, lightning flaring as his body vanished in a flash.
Activating Lightning Release at the cellular level, fused with the Body Flicker Technique, he moved like a living thunderbolt. In that instant, the battlefield was illuminated by his speed.
Meanwhile, the Konoha shinobi—who had retreated a full kilometer—turned back in shock.
Where their Hokage once stood now towered a colossus, a crimson figure more than a hundred meters tall, looming like a mountain of fire.
"What… what is that?!"
"Did the Raikage summon some kind of monster?!"
Gasps rippled through the ranks. Most of these elite jōnin had never seen Madara Uchiha's Susanoo; Madara had vanished from the village before their time. Those who once knew it were either long dead or elderly, far from the front lines.
Only the Uchiha clan members trembled with fanatic reverence.
"The power of a god… this is the power of a god!"
Even Hyūga Hiashi, who had studied Uchiha techniques and heard rumors of Susanoo, was left speechless. Hearing about it was one thing—but to see it standing before him, red flames rising off its armored form, wings spread wide enough to blot out the heavens… this was no human power.
It was the descent of a demon god.
"No! Hokage-sama is gone!" a Konoha shinobi cried.
Then another, sharp-eyed, shouted: "There! At its brow—inside the crystal! Hokage-sama is within the giant!"
Relief spread quickly. If this towering war god was their Hokage's doing, then maybe—just maybe—victory was possible.
The Cloud shinobi, however, rallied with faith in their own leader. Raikage A had fought tailed beasts before, even severing the Eight-Tails' horn with his bare hand. No matter how large this giant seemed, their Raikage had overcome monsters of that size before. They believed he would again.
"The Raikage's vanished!"
Cries of alarm rose as the blue flash darted across the field. Many in Konoha tensed, fearing Fugaku would be struck down in an instant.
But Hiashi's Byakugan remained calm. He knew—Susanoo's defense was absolute.
The Raikage reappeared mid-air, eyes fierce, his arm charged with deadly lightning.
"Lightning Release: Lariat!"
The battlefield roared with thunder as he brought down his electrified arm like a blade, aiming for Susanoo's colossal foot.
He had once used this same strike to sever the Eight-Tails' horn. Today, he would repeat the feat.
But Fugaku remained utterly still within Susanoo's brow, arms folded, cold eyes watching.
Crackling energy met crimson armor with a deafening crash.
The Raikage landed hard, staring in disbelief. His hand trembled.
Nothing. Not even a scratch.
Susanoo's titanic form stood unshaken, its crimson plates gleaming as if mocking him.
Fugaku's voice echoed coldly from above:
"Trying to cut down my Complete Body Susanoo with that? Are you some clown invited to amuse monkeys?"
A murmur of shock swept across both armies.
Hiashi, veins bulging at his temples, had seen everything with his Byakugan. "Not a mark… it didn't even leave a dent," he whispered, awe and envy mixing in his voice.
So this was the true power of the Mangekyō Sharingan. Could even the Byakugan ever reach such heights?
The Raikage's expression darkened. His Lariat—the strike that once wounded a tailed beast—had done absolutely nothing. That could only mean one thing.
This wasn't genjutsu.
He had avoided Fugaku's gaze, his lightning chakra burned brightly within him—everything was normal. No illusion could create this crushing sense of reality.
The giant was real.
Unease twisted in his chest. Still, he wasn't done yet.
"If one strike won't do it—" he growled, lightning flaring more fiercely around his hand.
"—then I'll use the strongest spear of Kumogakure!"
His fingers curled, lightning condensing into four blazing points. The air screamed as the chakra compressed, forming a blue-white radiance like a miniature sun.
"Hell Stab… Four-Finger Nukite!"
His roar split the night, blood vessels bursting in his neck from the strain as he thrust his glowing hand forward—the technique said to be the strongest spear in the shinobi world, perfected by his father.
Could even Susanoo withstand the might of the Raikage's deadliest strike?
