The chakra-enhanced kunai collided with the wind blade, producing a shrill, buzzing sound.
Though he shattered the blade, Tsuruboi was sent flying backward by the force of the impact. He landed on a tree branch, quickly checking on Yaito and the others.
Yaito had sensed the attack even earlier than Tsuruboi, but he hadn't acted rashly. He moved only after Tsuruboi's warning.
Daichi and Nami, alerted by Tsuruboi, reacted swiftly, dodging the attack.
'Whizz... whizz...'
The wind blades sliced through the trees, severing them and sending them crashing down.
Seeing that his team was unharmed, Tsuruboi breathed a sigh of relief, appearing before them: "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, but it was close. I almost died," Nami gasped. If not for Tsuruboi's warning, she would have been killed.
"I'm fine too," Daichi said, his expression grave.
"Be careful, they're closing in..." Yaito's senses spread, his Byakugan revealing everyone's position.
He strategized, figuring out how to escape.
Seeing the Konoha team, the others surrounded them, like hunters eyeing their prey.
"We've caught a big fish! A Hyuga with the Byakugan... But those are probably from the branch family. Too bad. Sanjin, the Konoha Jonin is yours. I'll take care of these three," another Jonin said, his tone mocking.
"They're just three Chunin, but one is a Hyuga. Don't mess up, Nakagawa," Sanjin cracked his knuckles, though his gaze was fixed on Tsuruboi, impressed that he'd withstood his jutsu.
Nakagawa snorted: "Relax, just brats. They're not geniuses like Kakashi; they won't put up much of a fight!"
He grinned at Yaito and the others: "I'll 'entertain' you, Konoha brats!"
"No more talk, let's do this. We're far from the Konoha outpost, but we can't delay," Sanjin said, attacking Tsuruboi.
The two clashed, kunai meeting kunai with a clang.
"Be careful," Yaito drew a kunai, his Byakugan locked onto Nakagawa, ready for battle.
"Right!" Nami and Daichi nodded, equally vigilant.
"This is fun, Konoha brats!" Nakagawa grinned, making hand seals and slamming his hand on the ground: "Lightning Release: Snake Lightning!"
Electricity crackled, lightning spreading from his palm, snaking towards the three.
"Scatter!" Yaito warned, leaping away, throwing a kunai.
Nami and Daichi moved quickly, escaping the attack.
'Boom!'
The spot they'd occupied was struck by lightning, creating a large crater.
"You're quick," Nakagawa smirked, his steel armguard deflecting Yaito's kunai.
Nami threw shuriken from various angles at Nakagawa's vital points.
"Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!" Daichi launched several small fireballs.
Nami and Daichi's attack was perfectly coordinated, blocking Nakagawa's escape routes.
'Clang... clang...'
Nakagawa sneered, deflecting the shuriken and leaping back to avoid the fire. His experience allowed him to evade.
Yaito's Byakugan predicted Nakagawa's landing spot. He threw more shuriken.
"Tricks," Nakagawa scoffed, dodging most, but some collided, changing trajectory, hitting him.
'Thump... thump...' The shuriken hit, but a 'bang' sounded. Smoke rose, revealing a log.
"Nami, watch out, he's on the left!" Yaito saw Nakagawa reappear, making hand seals: "Lightning Release: Snake Lightning!"
Lightning struck Nami, who was too slow to dodge, falling to the ground, smoking.
"So weak!" Nakagawa sneered, throwing a lightning-charged kunai at Daichi, who dodged, but the kunai struck the ground, unleashing a lightning snake that hit him.
Daichi screamed, his hair standing on end, falling beside Nami.
"You're the only one left, Hyuga brat!" Nakagawa turned to Yaito, smirking.
Yaito checked on Nami and Daichi, ensuring they were alive, then focused on Nakagawa, his eyes narrowing: "Who are you? All villages have declared a ceasefire. Why are you attacking us?"
He'd been watching Tsuruboi, who, outmatched, was struck by Sanjin's lightning, falling to the ground.
Yaito sighed. He couldn't rely on him.
'They didn't kill them; they want to capture us?'
'Good, it saves me trouble...'
'My condition isn't ideal, but a short burst is possible. I need to lure them closer...' Yaito feigned fear, retreating, observing everyone.
"Ceasefire? If the war stops, how do we get revenge? The higher-ups are scared of the Yellow Flash. Cowards!" Nakagawa sneered, watching Yaito retreat.
The others surrounded Yaito. Sanjin tossed Tsuruboi aside, looking at Yaito: "Too bad, it's a branch family member.
A main family member would be better. The Hyuga main family has a high bounty! But a branch family member will do.
You killed my brother! Don't worry, we won't kill you. Our 'entertainment' isn't over yet! Hahaha!"
Sanjin laughed, his rage and hatred evident.
'As I suspected... blinded by hatred...' Yaito shook his head. His guess was right.
He couldn't say anything. War doesn't erase hatred.
But seeing the approaching figures, Yaito clicked his tongue: "I didn't want to fight, but this is troublesome..."

He swung a lightning-charged kunai. Lightning is fast, but not light speed. Those with strong perception can react.
But as the kunai struck the lightning beam, his face changed. Powerful electricity surged through him, his body numb, almost dropping the kunai.
Then, the beam exploded!
The shockwave and lightning sent Nakagawa flying, crashing through trees.
"What?"
The Chunin were shocked. A Chunin had defeated a Jonin?
What kind of Lightning Release was this?
Was it a self-created jutsu?
"Damn it, I underestimated you!" Nakagawa crawled out, charred, wiping blood from his mouth, glaring at Yaito: "Kill him!"
He'd been humiliated. And that seemingly weak lightning had exploded with such force...
Was it a Kekkei Genkai? No, Hyuga have the Byakugan.
But he had to be eliminated!
The Chunin attacked. Sanjin hid, waiting for an opportunity.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!" Nakagawa launched a giant fireball.
"Eight Trigrams: Rotating Palm!" Yaito used his Byakugan to see the attacks, creating a chakra shield to deflect them.
"Body Flicker Technique!" Yaito vanished, appearing before a Chunin, striking with "Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms," sending him flying.
He killed another with a kunai. Then, "Lightning Release: White Lightning!" struck another.
"You've been hiding your strength!" Nakagawa sneered, creating a ring of lightning around himself.
Yaito dodged easily.
"Where are you looking?" A voice sneered.
Sanjin attacked while Yaito was airborne. He aimed for Yaito's heart.
Yaito smirked: "My Byakugan sees everything. I was expecting you!"
Lightning crackled on Yaito's body, enhancing his strength.
"Moonwalk!" Yaito used air pressure to avoid Sanjin's attack, turning to face him, making hand seals: "Chidori!"
A thousand birds chirped, Yaito's hand crackling with lightning. He moved faster, his lightning-charged hand piercing Sanjin's heart!
Sanjin stared at the lightning, his eyes dimming, then he died.
Sanjin's sneak attack had cost him his life!
