"I'm sorry, Itachi."

Minato was momentarily troubled, but he refused to hide his true feelings from the boy before him.

Just as Itachi had been honest with him from the beginning.

If he hadn't risked telling him about the future, Kushina, Naruto, and even the village wouldn't be in their current state.

Itachi observed the expression on Minato's face, as if reading his mind.

He chuckled softly and said, "You really don't need to blame yourself."

As a former ANBU captain, Itachi was well aware of the situation within Konoha's upper echelons.

For a civilian Hokage like Minato to have achieved this in just a few years, especially in his attitude towards the Uchiha clan, he had already endured immense pressure.

"You don't have to teach Shisui and me the Flying Thunder God Technique," Itachi smiled faintly.

The Flying Thunder God Technique was undoubtedly a divine technique coveted by countless in the ninja world, but only those with Itachi's strength could truly understand it.

The power of the Flying Thunder God Technique varies from person to person.

It's not that the Fourth Hokage mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique and achieved the fame of the Yellow Flash.

Rather, it was because of the Fourth Hokage that the Flying Thunder God Technique could unleash its full power.

Even the Second Hokage, who also wielded the Flying Thunder God Technique, might not have been as powerful as the Fourth Hokage.

Of course, if Itachi could master the Flying Thunder God Technique, his own strength would undoubtedly increase, but it would never reach the same level as the Fourth Hokage.

"If you teach the Flying Thunder God Technique to your disciple, I think the village leaders won't object," Itachi said.

"Are you referring to Kakashi?"

Minato asked.

Itachi nodded and said, "With Kakashi-senpai's talent, he should be able to master the Flying Thunder God Technique. We'll need his help on missions to the Land of Water and even the Hidden Mist Village."

Konoha currently boasts three of the most dazzling talents: Shisui and Itachi of the Uchiha clan, and Hatake Kakashi, the son of Konoha's White Fang, who reigned supreme over twenty years ago.

Kakashi not only set a record for graduating from the Ninja Academy, but he still holds the record for being the youngest person to be promoted to the rank of jonin in Konoha.

Before his rebirth, Itachi's experience was somewhat similar to Kakashi's.

Not only was he hailed as a unique genius by the Ninja Academy teachers, he also joined Konoha's ANBU at the age of ten, and at thirteen, became the youngest squad leader in ANBU's history.

Itachi had always believed that, had certain events not occurred, Hatake Kakashi would have grown into one of the most brilliant figures in Konoha's history.

"That's a good idea," Minato said.

Itachi's idea was indeed extremely risky, but adding Kakashi to the mix would have given him some peace of mind.

"However, this plan still needs to be carefully planned."

"Well, it will take some time for Shisui to master his Mangekyo eyes," Itachi replied.

"I will also improve the Flying Thunder God Technique as quickly as possible to prevent the same thing from happening again!"

Minato said solemnly.

Developing and improving ninjutsu was no easy task, but coming from the man before him, Itachi had no doubts.

As time passed, Itachi finally understood what his mother had said to him.

The Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato, possessed a charisma that drew people to him.

It's no wonder even his father, the head of the Uchiha clan, saw him with a special eye.

Two nights later, Minato found Itachi in his daily training.

Shisui had awakened.

Chi!

Two figures appeared in the Konoha Hospital ward, Minato's hand resting on Itachi's shoulder.

Shisui, lying in bed, noticed and looked over.

"Shisui-senpai, you're awake. I hope you're alright," Itachi said with genuine concern.

Shisui held a special place in his heart: a mentor, a friend, a family member.

That was why Itachi had risked exposing his greatest secret to travel to the Land of the Moon that night to save Shisui.

"Thank you," Shisui's eyes were filled with gratitude.

However, he wasn't good at high-sounding words, and Shisui knew Itachi didn't want to hear them.

So, he simply said these three simple words.

Until now, Shisui is still shocked by the power Itachi used that night, but he has no intention of asking anything.

Shisui knows that if there is a need one day, Itachi will take the initiative to tell him even if he doesn't ask.

"Shisui, I heard from Itachi that your Mangekyo eye power seems to have the ability to control the actions of others?"

Minato asked.

Although he had heard about Shisui's eye power from Itachi, he still needed to confirm what his Mangekyo power was.

This was also what Itachi meant.

After all, history has changed, so what Itachi knew may not be completely accurate.

"Yeah," Shisui nodded and said, "The eye technique that can manipulate the thoughts of others is called Kotoamatsukami's genjutsu."

Of course, the person who understood his own eye technique best was Shisui himself.

That night during the battle, Shisui had once controlled a giant bird summoned by Pain in front of Itachi.

Itachi was aware of the power of his eye technique and wasn't surprised.

Chi!

Shisui's eyes suddenly turned blood red.

The three magatama in his right eye quickly linked together, forming a four-cornered windmill-like pattern.

His left eye, however, remained in the three-magatama form.

Minato observed this and asked in surprise, "What's going on with your eyes?"

Shisui replied, "The eye technique in my right eye can continuously manipulate the actions and thoughts of others. Normally, those who are affected by it wouldn't notice they're being controlled by my genjutsu."

He spoke because, during their previous battle with Pain, the opponent's Rinnegan had already seen through his eye power.

Even so, Shisui was still able to continuously release his eye power, controlling the actions of a certain Pain.

"And this left eye's eye technique," Shisui paused, then said, "It should be able to permanently change a person's mind."

"What an amazing eye technique."

Although this was not the second time he had heard of Shisui's eye power, Minato still sighed slightly.

Then, he stared at Shisui's left eye and said, "So, this left eye's eye technique consumes a lot of your eye power, and it hasn't recovered yet?"

"Yes," Shisui replied, lowering his left eyelid slightly.

"I once used the left eye's eye technique on a Pain, but because Pain was originally a corpse controlled by someone, it failed."

...

"Although I failed, I also severed Pain's control at that time," Shisui said, his eyes gradually returning to their original state.

If Shisui had known from the outset that Pain had the intelligence to recover quickly, he could have used the power of his left eye to seize the opportunity and win that battle.

However, if he hadn't used his left eye's eye technique, he probably wouldn't have had a better way to defeat the strongest Pain, and he wouldn't have had the time to send a message for help to Itachi.

Minato nodded, and seeing Shisui's expression suddenly become serious, he said, "The ninjas at Konoha Hospital have conducted a comprehensive examination of your body over the past two days."

"The results show that the enormous consumption of chakra and eye power has greatly reduced the activity of the cells that make up your body."

"In other words, every time you use your left eye's eye technique, not only does it place a tremendous strain on your body, but this strain beyond your physiological limits will significantly shorten your lifespan."

"So, from now on, it's best not to use this eye power unless absolutely necessary."

Minato glanced at Itachi, and both of their expressions grew serious.

Itachi had known this outcome from the beginning, as Shisui had once entrusted him with his left eye, which had recently been used and depleted of its power.

Itachi later learned that unless one possessed the cells of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, anyone else attempting to utilize Shisui's left eye's dojutsu would have to wait for over a decade.

Even if Shisui himself were to wield the power of this eye, it would certainly come at a significant cost.

Regarding the plan to infiltrate the Hidden Mist Village and Land of Water, they decided to wait until Shisui had fully recovered before informing him.

Although Itachi and Minato knew Shisui would absolutely approve of the plan, they still wanted to gain his approval.

After Shisui regained consciousness, his condition forced him to remain in the hospital for a period of recovery.

The next day, Shikaku informed Itachi, Hattori Shinichi, and Kido Daisuke to come to the Hokage's office to accept their mission.

Because the mission to escort the Land of Stone representative, Kuroishi Lei, was a secret, the only people aware of the impromptu team formation, besides the members of Shikaku's team at the time, were Aoki Yui, the Fourth Hokage, several high-ranking Konoha officials, and Shinku Yuhi.

In the Hokage's office, Itachi and his companions encountered Izumi and her team.

Because Izumi and Itachi were on a classified mission, Hattori Shinichi, Kido Daisuke, Ishida Ken, and Mitsumi hadn't been on a mission in over a week.

As Konoha's genin, the missions assigned to Shikaku and Shinku were limited to simple menial tasks.

However, Itachi and Izumi possessed a relatively calm demeanor, viewing even these mundane tasks as a form of training.

Itachi's team, led by Shikaku, received a mission in the morning and completed it before noon.

After completing their mission, he returned home.

Meanwhile, in the backyard, Naruto and Sasuke were engaged in another sparring match.

Their figures intertwined, and despite their small stature, they possessed a powerful presence.

After all, they each inherited the bloodlines of the Uchiha and Uzumaki clans, and their training from childhood surpassed even that of the heirs of Konoha's more common clans.

How many in Konoha could compare to Itachi, Fugaku, Minato, and Kushina?

Itachi landed on the eaves of the backyard, not disturbing them, quietly observing the clash between the two children.

In the duel of taijutsu, Sasuke was clearly at a disadvantage.

The primary factor was that, even as the son of the Uchiha clan leader, Sasuke's physique couldn't compare to Naruto's.

Bang!

Naruto's fist blasted out with a muffled force, a powerful gust of wind that even Itachi sighed slightly.

When Itachi was the same age as Naruto, his physical strength was inferior to his.

However, in terms of taijutsu, Sasuke, having received Itachi's meticulous instruction, was no less skilled than Itachi was at the same age before his rebirth.

But Naruto's taijutsu was equally impressive.

Sasuke, realizing his weakness, retreated repeatedly, attempting to engage with shurikenjutsu from a distance.

Bang!

At that moment, Naruto formed a cross seal with his hands, and a shadow clone appeared beside him.

Swoosh!

Naruto and his shadow clone stomped their feet onto the ground, charging at Sasuke at full speed.

This time, Naruto's movements were no longer as sluggish as they had been over two months ago due to the use of shadow clones.

"Have you mastered the art of using shadow clones?"

Itachi muttered.

"Sure enough, Naruto is a genius."

Naruto only used one clone during his battle with Sasuke, distributing his chakra evenly.

So, even though his speed and strength were somewhat reduced compared to when he was alone, with Sasuke's taijutsu already inferior, the outcome of their clash was predictable.

Sasuke was forced back by Naruto, and was eventually knocked to the ground by a single punch.

"Hehe, I win."

Naruto's face lit up with a smug smile, and the shadow clone beside him vanished with a bang.

Sasuke glared at Naruto with gritted teeth.

"Don't be so complacent, I'll beat you next time!"

He said unwillingly, but beyond that expression, his eyes sparked a fierce competitive spirit.

"Hehe."

On the rooftop, Itachi watched the scene and chuckled softly.

He wasn't surprised by this outcome at all.

Naruto's innate advantages were more obvious than Sasuke's, and Naruto's talent for cultivation was naturally even greater.

Of course, Itachi also had every confidence in his younger brother.

Putting aside the advantages of the Uchiha bloodline, Sasuke's true talent would only gradually manifest after he became a ninja and mastered ninjutsu.

A few days later, Itachi, having completed a simple D-rank mission and on his way back to the Uchiha clan, suddenly leaped from rooftop to rooftop before landing on a secluded street in Konoha.

Itachi turned his head slightly, glancing sideways at a certain corner of the street.

"Is he really here?" he muttered in his heart.

Not long after parting with Shikaku-sensei and the others in front of the Hokage Building, Itachi realized that he was being followed.

And Itachi already knew who the person was.

Sure enough, when he looked in that direction, the two figures hiding there were no longer hiding.

They moved very quickly and soon landed in front of Itachi.

The two men were wearing clothes similar to those of the Konoha ANBU, but the patterns on the masks they wore were completely different.

Of course Itachi knew them.

They were members of the "Root" under Danzo, one of the high-ranking officials of Konoha.
