Chapter 163: The Fifth ssr card
The glittering golden portal quickly took shape.
Once the portal was formed, Roy took the lead and stepped through.
The White Queen and Raze followed closely behind him through the portal.
As Angel, Red Devil, and Riptide all crossed through, Magneto and Mystique turned their heads to look at Professor X in a moment of silent understanding.
They nodded to Professor X and stepped through the portal under his watchful gaze.
After Magneto and Mystique came through, Roy did not hesitate to immediately close the portal.
"Where is this?"
Scanning the surroundings, Magneto asked Roy.
After passing through the portal, they had arrived at a magnificently decorated, massive reception room.
If Agent Moira were here, she would certainly recognize this place at a glance.
Las Vegas!
The Atomic Nightclub!
To be more precise, it was the secret reception room beneath the Atomic Nightclub.
This was where Agent Moira had previously seen the White Queen transform into her diamond form and Red Devil take away Colonel Hendry.
Before Roy could answer, the White Queen spoke up: "This is the Hellfire Club's stronghold in Las Vegas."
Las Vegas?
Hearing the White Queen's answer, Magneto and Mystique immediately furrowed their brows.
After a few seconds, Mystique asked, "Have you seen Colonel Hendry here before?"
"How did you know?"
The White Queen looked at Mystique with a face full of surprise.
"Agent Moira said so!"
"She sneaked in here before and saw you using your superpowers."
"It was precisely because she saw the superpowers you displayed that she ran to London to find Charles."
Mystique replied quickly without any hesitation.
Just as Magneto was about to say something else, Royspoke up: "Shaw is dead, but Shaw's assets haven't disappeared..."
At this point, he paused, turned to look at Red Devil, and continued: "Take Eric to the Bases in other cities to take a look and tally up exactly how many assets Shaw left behind."
"Alright!"
Red Devil replied immediately without any hesitation.
Although he hadn't fought Roy, his intuition told him that Roy was much more powerful than Shaw.
If nothing else, Roy possessed far more superpowers than Shaw.
Not only that, but when facing Roy, he felt an indescribable pressure, as if he had encountered a natural predator.
Red Devil felt this way not because Roy's life level was higher than his, but because Roy possessed several Omega-Level Mutant superpowers.
Although Roy was not using these powers now, Red Devil, who had lived for thousands of years, still keenly perceived the invisible pressure brought by the power gap.
After answering, Red Devil immediately came before Magneto, raised his right hand, and grabbed Magneto's shoulder.
Teleportation!
Without any hesitation, Red Devil immediately performed Teleportation, taking Magneto away from the reception room and disappearing from Roy's sight.
When they left, Roy said to Riptide: "Show Raven, Alex, and Salvador around here, and then arrange accommodations for them."
Riptide didn't speak; he nodded and gave his answer through action.
Under the gaze of Roy and the White Queen, he led the three, including Mystique, out through a secret door.
Once they were gone, Roy went to the sofa in the middle of the reception room and sat down casually.
The White Queen, without a word, sat down directly beside him, pressing her curvaceous and alluring body against him, and asked softly: "When do you plan to leave this Universe?"
"In a month, I suppose!"
Roy replied.
The White Queen didn't ask why he was waiting a month to leave, but said slowly: "When you leave this Universe, will you tell them that you are from a parallel Universe?"
"Of course not!"
"They don't need to know these things, and I might not necessarily come back to this Universe in the future."
He said that, but Roy didn't know if the system would set the X-Men movie Universe as a Multiverse Dungeon again in the future.
Hearing his answer, the White Queen sitting next to him changed her posture, shifting from sitting to lying on the sofa, using Roy's lap as a pillow, lying down like a lazy kitten.
Roy stroked the White Queen's hair, pondering a question.
That was whether he should kill the still-slumbering Apocalypse and Bolivar Trask, who invented the Sentinel Robots, before leaving this Universe.
They were key figures in the movies 'X-Men: Apocalypse' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.'
If he killed them now, the future of this Universe would become completely different.
After thinking about it, he dismissed the idea.
Killing Apocalypse and Bolivar Trask wouldn't be difficult for him.
But if he really did that, the possibility of the system setting the X-Men movie Universe as a Multiverse Dungeon again in the future would be infinitely close to zero.
That evening.
Red Devil brought Magneto back to the reception room beneath the Atomic Nightclub.
As soon as they returned, they saw Mystique, Angel, Raze, and Riptide sitting in the reception room, chatting and drinking.
Glancing at the four of them, Magneto immediately asked: "Where are Roy and Emma?"
"They went out,"
Mystique replied immediately.
"Where did they go?"
Magneto continued to ask.
"I don't know, they didn't say."
Mystique shook her head and said slowly.
Magneto furrowed his brows.
Just as he was about to say something else, a circular portal sparkling with golden sparks appeared before them.
Once the portal was formed, Roy returned to the reception room with the White Queen.
"Where did you go?"
Seeing him return, Magneto immediately asked.
"Nowhere special, just went out for a walk to enjoy the night view of Las Vegas."
Roy replied casually.
Although he was telling the truth, Magneto still didn't quite believe him.
Or rather, he felt Roy must have gone out to plan something else.
Taking a look at Roy and the White Queen, Magneto said slowly: "Azazel and I checked the Bases in other cities; none of them have been discovered by the authorities, everything is normal."
After speaking, he pulled a small notebook from his pocket, handed it to Roy, and continued: "This is the club's assets that Azazel and I have tallied up."
Roy didn't take the notebook from Magneto's hand, saying casually: "It's enough that you know how much the Hellfire Club's assets are now."
He wouldn't be staying in this World for much longer.
Before leaving this Universe, he would hand over the Hellfire Club to Magneto to manage, so he didn't need to know the club's current assets.
He had Red Devil take Magneto to tally the Hellfire Club's assets specifically so Magneto would know exactly what they were, making it easier for Magneto to manage the club in the future.
Hearing his words, Magneto furrowed his brows again, immediately recalling what Roy had told him on the island in Cuba.
After a few seconds of silence, Magneto put the booklet back in his pocket and continued: "If there's nothing else, Azazel and I will go rest first."
"Go ahead, thank you for your hard work."
Roy replied... The next day.
Both America and the Soviet Union held press conferences.
The Soviet Union abandoned its plan to deploy nuclear missiles in Cuba, and America also withdrew the nuclear missiles it had deployed in Turkey.
As Roy had guessed, neither America nor the Soviet Union publicly announced the existence of Mutants, choosing instead to hide it from the public.
Although the American and Soviet officials had confirmed the existence of Mutants and realized the power they possessed,
they currently had no 100% certainty in dealing with Mutants.
To prevent things from getting further out of control, both the American and Soviet governments decided to handle the existence of Mutants discreetly.
The Atomic Nightclub.
A group of workers was busily carrying out renovation work.
From a nightclub's perspective, the Atomic Nightclub's decoration and layout were flawless, making it a leader in the industry.
But from a Base's perspective, the Atomic Nightclub was not a qualified Base.
Except for the underground reception room, study, and bedroom, everywhere else needed renovation.
Roy left the responsibility for renovating the Atomic Nightclub entirely to Magneto and Mystique.
Magneto and Mystique had no objections to this arrangement.
When the renovation of the Atomic Nightclub began, Royand the others moved to a five-star hotel in Las Vegas.
Days passed by.
A week went by before they knew it.
Under the influence of 'money power,' the renovation company quickly completed the transformation of the Atomic Nightclub.
To be accurate, they completed the transformation of the Atomic Club.
Compared to a nightclub, a membership-based private club was more suitable for a Base.
At the very least, it didn't need to be open to the public every night.
After the renovation ended, Roy and the White Queen did not move back to the Atomic Club but remained at the five-star hotel.
As for Magneto and the others, they moved back to the Atomic Club.
After the renovation, the Atomic Club finally looked like a secret Base.
Besides living quarters, it now had an equipment room, a training room, a meeting room, and other facilities.
Once the Atomic Club's renovation was complete, Royand Magneto chatted privately in the meeting room for an hour or two, discussing the future development of Mutants.
It was called a discussion, but in reality, Roy was giving Magneto some personal advice.
For instance, how to recruit more suitable Mutants and how to gain the support of other Mutants.
And that he could try to establish a nation entirely for Mutants, and so on.
Although Roy didn't say it explicitly, Magneto knew he would be leaving soon.
Otherwise, Roy wouldn't have needed to tell him these things.
Magneto's guess was spot on.
After finishing the chat, Roy intended to leave this Universe.
The day after the Cuban Missile Crisis ended, the system sent the reward for completing the mission, granting him his fifth ssr card.
Although the Black King Shaw card was SSR-rank, it didn't give him any new Omega-Level abilities.
Roy wasn't particularly disappointed by this.
When he first saw the ssr cards displayed by the system, he knew not all ssr cards were Omega-Level Mutants.
Atomic Club.
Reception Room.
Roy called Magneto and the others to the reception room.
"I'm preparing to leave here," Roy said calmly.
"Where are you going?" Mystique immediately asked.
"The Universe is so big, I want to go see it," Roy said seriously.
As soon as he finished, Mystique gave him a look that said the joke wasn't funny at all.
He didn't care about Mystique's look and continued: "After I leave, Eric will take over my management of the Hellfire Club."
"By the way, Emma will be leaving with me too."
Neither Magneto nor Mystique realized that the 'leaving' Roy spoke of was completely different from what they imagined.
In their view, Roy just wanted to take the White Queen to other countries for a World tour.
They would never have thought that Roy's 'leaving' meant taking the White Queen out of this Universe.
"Then when will you be back?" Mystique continued to ask.
"Hard to say."
"Maybe a few months, maybe several years, maybe even never coming back."
Roy replied.
Hearing his words, Magneto spoke up: "When do you plan to go?"
"Leaving in a moment."
"Before I go, I'll make a trip to New York to see Charles," Roy said slowly.
"When you see Charles, say hello for me," Magnetocontinued.
"Alright!"
"Nothing else, then. The Hellfire Club is in your hands from now on."
As soon as he finished speaking, Roy pulled out his suspension ring and created a portal to Professor X's family estate.
Under the gaze of Magneto and the others, he took the White Queen through the portal and arrived at the reception room of the main manor building.
A few minutes later.
After a casual chat with Professor X, Roy used Teleportation to take the White Queen away from the manor to a forest a few kilometers away.
Although he didn't say anything, the White Queen knew what he was about to do and looked at him with anticipation.
Roy didn't hesitate and immediately opened the system panel.
The next second, a pitch-black Multiverse portal appeared in his and the White Queen's sight.
"Let's go," Roy said to the White Queen.
"Mm-hmm!" The White Queen immediately nodded and took his right arm.
Roy said nothing more and walked toward the Multiverse portal.
Although he looked calm now, he wasn't entirely sure if he could take someone from another Universe back with him.
This was his first time trying to bring someone from another Universe back!
As it turned out, he had been overthinking it.
He and the White Queen faced no obstacles and easily passed through the Multiverse portal, returning to the study of the penthouse apartment in the Skyscraper in Manhattan.
Finally back!
Looking at the unchanged study before him, Roy breathed a sigh of relief.
"Is this the parallel Universe you're from?" The White Queen scanned the study and spoke quickly.
"Yes," Roy replied.
"It doesn't look much different, except the TV on the desk looks quite thin," the White Queen continued.
"That's not a TV, it's a computer."
"To be precise, it's a computer monitor."
"Forget it, I'll just transmit the common knowledge of this Universe directly to you."
After speaking, Roy immediately used Telepathy to establish a mental connection with the White Queen...
Chapter 164: Doctor Doom
After establishing a mental connection with the White Queen, Roy did not hesitate and began to instill common sense about this World into her.
Time slowly passed.
In less than three minutes, Roy completed the instillation of common sense, cut the mental connection, and said to the White Queen, "Digest it first."
"Mm-hmm."
The White Queen nodded and began to browse through the common sense Roy had instilled.
Soon, the White Queen digested this knowledge and asked with a frown, "Are there no Mutants in this World?"
"No."
"So, don't expose yourself as a Mutant from another Universe in the future."
Roy said calmly.
Although it was a bit strange why this Universe had no other Mutants, the White Queen did not dwell on it and said slowly, "I thought there would be many Mutants in this World, but I didn't expect that you would be the only Mutant here."
"That's normal; after all, this is another Universe."
"Alright, let's not talk about that for now. I'll take you to meet Daisy, Mary Jane, and Selene."
"If they ask where you came from, just say you're from another Planet."
Roy said slowly.
While the White Queen was digesting the common sense, he used Telepathy to sense Daisy and the other two, knowing that all three of them were currently in the apartment.
"Okay!"
The White Queen immediately replied.
Before returning to this Universe, Roy had already told her about the existence of Daisy and the others.
Regarding the fact that Roy had several women, the White Queen didn't think there was any problem with it.
Or rather, she would have found it strange if Roy didn't have other women.
Roy said nothing more, leading the White Queen out of the study and into the living room.
Seeing them, Mary Jane and Daisy, who were sitting in the living room chatting, first showed surprised expressions and then looked at the White Queen with curiosity.
After a few seconds, Daisy withdrew her gaze from the White Queen, walked straight to Roy, and asked softly, "When did you get back?"
"Just now!"
"Let me introduce you; this is Emma. She comes from a Planet similar to Earth and is a Superhuman."
Roy said calmly.
He hadn't told Daisy and the others where he was going before, only that he would be away for a while.
Since he had been to Jotunheim before, it wouldn't seem strange even if he said he had gone to another Planetagain.
Once he brought the Frost Giants back to Earth, the fact that humans were not the only intelligent life in the Universe became common knowledge.
"Hello, I'm Daisy, nice to meet you."
Daisy said to the White Queen.
"I'm also very glad to meet you all."
"Roy mentioned you to me before. Now it seems he wasn't lying; you are all very charming beauties."
The White Queen gave Daisy and Mary Jane a little flattery.
Judging by her appearance, she looked like a peer of Daisy and Mary Jane.
But in reality, she was quite a bit older than Daisy and Mary Jane, already twenty-eight years old.
Although they knew the White Queen was being polite, Daisy and Mary Jane still showed happy expressions upon hearing her praise.
No matter what age a woman is, she feels happy when others praise her beauty.
Daisy and Mary Jane were certainly no exception.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Roy and the others sat down on the sofa in the living room.
Not long after they sat down, Selene came into the living room.
Like Daisy and Mary Jane, at first glance, she knew the White Queen was a new woman Roy had brought back.
Before she could speak, Roy briefly introduced the White Queen to her.
After listening to Roy's introduction, Selene nodded to the White Queen and sat down opposite her.
What followed was quite simple.
Roy first asked Daisy and the others if anything important had happened since he left.
Then he inquired about the recent situation of the Vought Company and the Star Cross Knights.
As he had expected, no major events had occurred during his absence.
If there was anything worth mentioning, it was that many people outside had begun to actively seek out Vampires and werewolves, hoping to become one themselves.
Although the individual strength of Vampires and werewolves is not very high, becoming a Vampire or Werewolf still holds great appeal for ordinary people.
If nothing else, after becoming a Vampire or Werewolf, one can obtain a lifespan far exceeding that of a normal human.
It wasn't just the general public; many countries had also developed an interest in Vampires and werewolves, with ideas of establishing Vampire and Werewolf armies.
Although Vampires and werewolves have weaknesses and cannot form large-scale armies, they still have a great advantage when used to form small-scale units, such as special forces.
By converting special forces soldiers who have already undergone military training into Vampires and werewolves, one could have a unit composed entirely of Superhumans with combat power far exceeding what it was before.
Of course, the prerequisite for all this is that the original special forces soldiers can be converted into Vampires and werewolves.
After listening to Selene's account, Roy said calmly, "Ignore them. If they capture Vampires and werewolves without permission, let the Star Cross Knights pay them a visit."
Roy could understand why those countries and ordinary people outside had such thoughts, but that didn't mean he would allow them to act recklessly.
Wanting to become a Vampire or Werewolf is not a simple matter; it's not as if one just needs to be bitten by a Vampire or Werewolf.
Take Vampires first.
Not all Vampires have sufficient ability to perform the Embrace on ordinary people.
Vampires capable of performing the Embrace are basically the elites and Elders among the Vampires.
As for werewolves.
Compared to the Embrace of Vampires, Werewolfconversion is even more unreliable.
After being bitten by a Werewolf, there is indeed a chance of turning into a Werewolf, but the probability of a successful conversion is unusually low.
Even if the conversion is successful, there is a significant chance of turning into a Beast with only instincts left.
People who don't die after being bitten by a Werewolfand can also maintain their sanity to successfully convert are few and far between.
The general public doesn't know this, thinking they can obtain power they didn't have before just by being bitten by werewolves and Vampires, which is why they have the idea of becoming werewolves and Vampires.
If they knew the death rate after being bitten exceeded 90%, most of them would abandon the idea of becoming werewolves and Vampires.
After inquiring about recent events, Roy had Daisyarrange a room for the White Queen.
As for himself, he used teleportation to leave the Skyscraper and went to the office of the Chairman of the Vought Company.
Upon arriving at the office, he immediately called in Ellie, his female assistant who had been turned into a Vampireby Selene and had absorbed Alexander Corvinus's blood, making her unafraid of sunlight.
Soon, Ellie, wearing a gray OL suit, appeared before him.
After glancing at Ellie, he said to her, "Organize the company's revenue data for this period and give it to me."
"Yes, sir!"
Ellie replied immediately without any hesitation.
"That's all; you may leave now,"
Roy continued.
Ellie nodded and left the office, her red-soled black stiletto heels clicking.
After Ellie left, Roy went to the floor-to-ceiling window and looked out at the scenery.
Although the Vought Company was established by him just to pass the time, by now, it had become an absolute commercial giant.
Besides leading the superhero industry by a wide margin, after absorbing companies like the Osborn Group and Hammer Industries, Vought Company also had business in fields such as biotechnology, military industry, finance, and medicine.
Before long, Ellie had organized the recent revenue data for the Vought Company and returned to the office.
"Just leave it on the desk; I'll look at it in a moment,"
Roy said with his back to Ellie.
"Okay!"
Ellie did not hesitate, placed the documents on the desk, and turned to leave the office.
Ten minutes later, after browsing through the revenue data of the Vought Company, Roy used teleportation to leave the office and return to the Skyscraper... Time flew by.
Unconsciously, more than three months had passed.
During this period, Roy, as before, didn't make many public appearances and lived a low-profile life.
In addition to his daily training and development of superpowers, he did not give up his study of magic.
Having met the graduation requirements long ago, he ended his magic learning journey after browsing through all the books in the Kamar-Taj library.
The day before leaving Kamar-Taj, he and the Ancient One had a sorcerer's duel in the Mirror Dimension.
As it turned out, experience really counts!
Using only magic, he was no match for the Ancient One.
This was also normal.
Although the Ancient One's physical attributes were not very strong, she had, after all, been the Sorcerer Supremefor several hundred years.
Wanting to surpass the Ancient One in the field of magicwas quite difficult for someone like him who had only studied magic for a few months.
However, he also had areas where he was stronger than the Ancient One.
Unlike the Ancient One, he did not need to borrow power from any entity and could be self-sufficient in the truest sense.
On the surface, this didn't seem like an advantage.
But that wasn't the case.
Because the magic power he used was converted from his own, he didn't need to worry about being influenced by external forces, nor did he need to worry about suddenly being unable to borrow power.
Wakandan Palace.
The underground Vibranium cultivation room.
Roy stood in the middle of the cultivation room, modifying Kamar-Taj's magic.
Although he had now found a way to convert his own energy into magic power and use it to cast spells,
he always felt it was a bit too troublesome.
To this end, he planned to optimize all the magic he currently knew, removing the part about borrowing energy from other entities and modifying them to be primarily based on the caster's own energy.
Since he was modifying them on the existing basis, the difficulty of the modification was not very high.
If there was anything to note, it was that it required a certain amount of time and energy.
For Roy, who currently had no urgent matters to attend to, this was not a problem.
Not only that, after completing the modification of the casting energy source, he also planned to try merging magic and superpowers together.
In other Universes, trying to merge magic and superpowers would be a very difficult task.
But in the Marvel Universe, it was not impossible.
Here, let alone merging magic and superpowers,
even merging magic and technology was nothing special.
The famous Doctor Doom is a representative figure of 'dual cultivation of technology and magic.'
It was a bit of a pity that Roy had not discovered the existence of Doctor Doom in this World.
Time slowly passed.
Half an hour later, a golden Fireball the size of a basketball appeared in Roy's hand.
In Kamar-Taj, this Fireball-summoning spell is called Momboto's Fireball.
After thinking for a moment, Roy gave this magic a new name.
Fireball!
Although it was a golden Fireball, its essence was still a Fireball.
Since that was the case, he might as well just call it Fireball.
Roy, who was terrible at naming, didn't intend to waste too much time on this and settled on the name quite casually.
After admiring it for a few seconds, he gave it a casual toss, throwing the basketball-sized golden Fireball out.
Boom!
In the blink of an eye, the golden Fireball flew a distance of dozens of meters and slammed into the Vibranium wall of the cultivation room like a cannonball, exploding violently.
The power of the golden Fireball was not weak, but it wasn't enough to destroy a Vibranium wall.
When everything returned to calm, Roy used teleportation to leave the cultivation room and went to the study in the palace.
Recently, he had been staying at the palace in Wakanda.
To be precise, he was living in the already renovated palace.
He had no interest in Wakandan culture.
To make his stay more comfortable, he specially arranged for the renovation of the Wakandan palace.
After returning to the study, Roy sat down behind the desk, opened the holographic projection screen, and browsed through the research reports recently submitted by Norman and Banner.
Soon, he finished reading Norman and Banner's research reports and sighed helplessly.
When he left the X-Men movie Universe, he had specifically drawn some blood from Mystique and brought it back.
A few days after his return, he gave Mystique's blood to Norman and Banner and told them the design concept of the future Sentinel Robots.
Norman and Banner were indeed rare scientific research talents.
But after all, they weren't Bolivar Trask.
Even with Mystique's blood, they still hadn't managed to complete the upgrade of the Sentinel Robots.
Although there was no hope of success in the short term, Roy wasn't particularly disappointed.
Bolivar Trask had obtained Mystique's blood sample as early as 1973.
But it wasn't until 2023, long after his death, that the future Sentinels capable of copying and sharing Mutantsuperpowers were truly developed.
Since even the inventor of the Sentinel Robots, Bolivar Trask, couldn't complete the upgrade and modification of the Sentinel Robots in a short time, it went without saying for Norman and Banner.
After browsing the research reports submitted by Norman and Banner, Roy raised his right hand and waved it casually in the air.
In the next second, a portal sparkling with golden sparks appeared before him.
Kamar-Taj's portal magic was the first spell he modified after returning to this Universe.
Besides no longer needing to borrow energy from other entities, he also optimized away the restriction that the portal magic had to be cast using a suspension ring...
Chapter 165: wonder woman
After the portal took shape, Roy didn't hesitate and immediately stepped through, returning to the living room of the penthouse apartment in the Skyscraper.
Although the palace in Wakanda had been renovated to suit his aesthetic, he still rarely lived there.
Closing the portal behind him, he sat down on the living room sofa and began to think about his next arrangements.
After thinking on the sofa for a few minutes, he decided to start his Multiverse Exploration Project.
The Multiverse Exploration Project, as the name suggests, was a plan to travel to other multiverses for exploration.
Before learning the magic of Kamar-Taj, he could only travel to other Universes through the multiverse portals opened by the system.
But now, he could travel to other multiverses using his own power.
Speaking of which, he had to mention the magic of Kamar-Taj.
Although Kamar-Taj's magic required borrowing energy from other entities to cast, it was undeniable that their magic was truly all-encompassing.
Take teleportation magic, for example.
In addition to the common golden portal magic, Kamar-Taj had many other types of teleportation magic.
Among them were spells that allowed the caster to travel to other dimensions and planes.
For instance, the Dimension Door, Dimensional Travel, Otherworld Teleportation, and so on.
Even though they were all teleportation spells, the difficulty and level of these spells were far above the golden portal.
Having made his decision, Roy used teleportation to leave the living room and arrived in Daisy's room.
At this moment, Daisy was as usual, lying on her bed, holding a tablet and playing games.
Without any hesitation, Roy said to Daisy, "I'm going to be away for a while, and I'm not sure when I'll be back."
"By yourself?"
Upon hearing his words, Daisy suddenly turned her head and asked him.
"Mm-hmm, by myself."
Roy replied.
"Where do you plan on going this time?"
Daisy continued to ask.
"I can't say for sure right now."
"However, one thing is certain: there won't be any danger."
Roy replied with a casual expression.
Although he had mastered several spells that could cross dimensions to other Universes, he didn't plan to pre-set a destination.
To put it simply, he planned to travel to another Universeat random.
"Alright."
"When they get back, I'll tell them."
The understanding Daisy didn't press Roy further on where he was going and replied softly.
"Go back to your game."
After saying that, Roy used teleportation to leave Daisy's bedroom and went to the study.
Just as he was about to cast the Dimension Door spell to randomly travel to a Universe, he suddenly remembered something, stopped, and instead cast Kamar-Taj's signature portal magic.
With a casual wave of his right hand, a portal over two meters in diameter, sparkling with golden sparks, appeared before him.
Without any hesitation, he immediately stepped through the portal, returning from the study to the Vibraniumcultivation room beneath the Wakandan palace.
To be safe, it was better to cast the Dimension Door spell here.
After the portal behind him vanished, Roy began to cast the Dimension Door spell.
Compared to the golden portal that could be opened with a wave of the hand, the Dimension Door for traveling to other Universes was clearly a bit more complex.
Ten-odd seconds later, a mirror-like Dimension Door over three meters high and two meters wide, glowing with a faint blue light, appeared before Roy.
After observing the Dimension Door in front of him and confirming there were no issues, Roy took a deep breath and walked in with a calm face.
This was his first time casting the Dimension Door spell, and he had even set the exit of the Dimension Door at random.
In other words, he didn't know what kind of World lay on the other side of the Dimension Door.
In just the blink of an eye, he passed through the Dimension Door, arrived in an unknown Universe, and landed on a small island with beautiful scenery.
Where is this?
After emerging from the Dimension Door, Royimmediately observed his surroundings.
Good!
Still on Earth!
Knowing he was still on Earth, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Although he now had the ability to survive in space and on other Planets, Earth was still the Planet he was most familiar with, no matter what.
Without any hesitation, he immediately used Telepathy, preparing to further clarify which Universe he had arrived in.
Without any effort, he perceived tens of thousands of mental signals.
Upon sensing these mental signals, Roy frowned slightly.
Could this be...?
Discovering that all the mental signals he sensed belonged to women, a guess immediately flashed through his mind.
Just as he was about to randomly pick a few lucky individuals for a more in-depth perception, he noticed a mental signal rapidly approaching him.
Without any hesitation, he immediately locked onto the other party.
What strong mental power!
After locking onto the other party, Roy found that the woman rapidly approaching him had mental power far exceeding that of an ordinary person.
However, this still couldn't stop him from reading her mind.
In less than a minute, he had read the information he wanted from her memory.
Good luck!
After reading the other party's memory, he showed a satisfied expression.
The person rapidly approaching him was none other than 'wonder woman' Diana Prince.
To be more precise, it was the wonder woman who had not yet left Themyscira.
Before long, Diana, with her beautiful black hair tied in a ponytail, exquisite features, and a hot figure, appeared in his line of sight.
At this time, Diana was wearing classic Amazonian attire.
Her upper body was cloth armor that exposed her shoulders, while her lower body was a short skirt similar to a pleated skirt. She wore a pair of silver bracelets like bracers on her hands and lace-up boots on her feet.
Chiseled jade shoulders, alluring curves, a waist as slender as a water snake, plus rounded and slender legs.
She truly deserves to be the most well-known and popular female hero in the DC Universe!
Roy lamented inwardly.
Soon, Diana, who looked to be only in her twenties, arrived before him and sized him up with eyes as clear as those of a college student.
After a few seconds, Diana finally spoke: "You are a man?"
"Yes!"
"Do I not look like a man?"
Roy asked Diana back.
Diana did not answer Roy but instead revealed a bright, sun-like smile.
She knew what a man was, but having lived on Themyscira since she was a child, she had only seen men in books.
Now, she finally saw a living man.
Under Roy's gaze, Diana unconsciously raised her fair and slender right hand, using her index and middle fingers to poke Roy's cheek.
"No need to poke, I'm not an illusion."
Roy said to Diana.
Even without using Telepathy, he could know what Dianawas thinking right now.
Hearing his words, Diana withdrew her right hand and asked, "What is your name?"
"Roy Chen."
"You can just call me Roy."
Roy replied.
"I am Diana Prince, and you can also just call me Diana."
Diana replied with a smile
Chapter 166 – The lasso of truth's Trial
Although she still didn't know exactly who Roy was, it didn't dampen Diana's good mood in the least.
After studying Roy with curious eyes, Diana asked, "Where are you from, Roy? How do you know the location of Themyscira? What's the outside World like now?"
Diana, who had never left Themyscira, immediately bombarded him with three questions in a row.
Roy understood why Diana was so curious.
If their positions were reversed, he would be even more curious than she was.
He thought for a few seconds, then said slowly, "I'm not really sure what the outside World looks like now."
"I'm a mage—more precisely, a mage from another Universe."
"I arrived here through Dimension Door magic that lets me travel between Universes."
"Before I met you, I didn't know this place was Themyscira."
If the person he'd met weren't Diana, Roy wouldn't have revealed so easily that he came from another Universe.
But the moment he saw her, he changed his mind.
Not only would he tell her outright that he was from another Universe, he also planned to take her back to his own.
As for how to persuade her to come with him, he hadn't figured that out yet.
Still, convincing her to leave wouldn't be too difficult.
In terms of age, Diana was unquestionably an adult.
Yet because she'd grown up on Themyscira, her real-World experience was virtually zero.
The only reason it wasn't absolute zero was that Themyscira itself was a closed, tiny society.
Though she'd never contacted the outside World, she was far from a social incompetent.
On top of that, she'd received the finest royal education Themyscira could offer.
A simple example:
Diana was an undeniable linguistic genius, fluent in ancient Greek, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, modern Greek, Chinese, and more than ten other languages.
She even knew Cantonese.
She found the pronunciation tricky, so she could understand it but spoke it only haltingly.
Besides that, she could mimic other people's speech perfectly.
A mage?
From another Universe?
Dimension Door magic?
Hearing Roy's answers, Diana's curiosity deepened.
Although she herself couldn't use magic and neither could the Amazons of Themyscira, mages weren't unfamiliar to her.
To give a close example:
Themyscira was cloaked in an isolating illusion wrought by Zeus's divine power.
Though the energy source differed, that illusion was essentially no different from magic.
"Then, are there Amazons in your Universe?" she asked.
Roy shook his head. "Not that I know of."
While the Marvel Universe had the olympian gods, it had no Amazons.
Learning that, Diana pressed on, "Are the olympian godsin your Universe?"
"They exist, but only in myths and legends; I've never met them personally," Roy replied.
The Marvel Universe did contain the olympian gods, though he couldn't be certain about his specific Universe.
Most likely they were there; he simply hadn't encountered them yet.
Next time he saw Thor, he'd ask for the exact location of the City of Omnipotence.
Quietly, Roy added the task to his mental checklist.
"I haven't met them either."
"But my mother has seen Zeus…"
She paused, gave Roy an apologetic look, and continued, "Sorry—you might not know who my mother is."
"My mother is Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons."
"She wanted a child, so she shaped me from clay and begged Zeus to grant me life."
"Zeus answered her prayer and gave me life, so in a way I'm also a child of Zeus."
As a child, Diana had wondered why she was the only youngster on the island and asked Hippolyta.
That was the answer her mother had given her.
Diana believed it completely.
Roy, however, knew that wasn't the true story of her birth.
Although Steve Trevor hadn't arrived on Themyscira yet, Roy could already be certain this was the DC cinematic Universe.
Which meant Diana was the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta.
That was why she possessed divine power no other Amazon had.
Her half-brother, Ares, God of War, knew it perfectly.
Only a god can kill a god!
Diana was the "god-slaying sword" Zeus had created to destroy Ares.
The weapon now displayed in the white tower was merely for show.
Though Roy knew the truth, he had no intention of revealing it to Diana right now.
Judging by her current age, Steve Trevor would crash-land on Themyscira before long.
Then the events of the movie wonder woman would unfold.
In other words, even if he did nothing, Diana would learn the truth soon enough.
Since that was the case, there was no need to tell her now.
"If your mother is Queen of the Amazons, then you're their princess."
"Looks like I'm in luck—the first person I meet in this Universe is a beautiful princess," Roy said with a smile.
"I'm no princess; I'm a warrior!"
"And not just any warrior—I'll become the greatest Amazon warrior in history!"
Diana declared confidently, looking straight at him.
Just as Roy was about to speak, Diana frowned and said slowly, "Themyscira has never had visitors before."
"Even though you arrived by accident, once Mother finds out, she'll surely expel you…"
Before she could finish, Roy interrupted gently, "You don't need to worry about that—your mother has already noticed me."
He raised his right hand and pointed behind her.
They were near the cliffs above the beach.
Behind Diana stretched a broad grassland.
Queen Hippolyta was riding at the head of a column of knights, galloping toward them.
At Roy's words Diana spun around.
Moments later Hippolyta and her troop of female knights reined in before them.
Without a word, the lead knight leveled her spear, its sharp point aimed at Roy.
The archers behind her drew their bows, ready to loose arrows at any instant.
"Mother…"
Diana had barely opened her mouth when Queen Hippolyta raised a hand to cut her off.
Then, dismounting from her war-horse, she came before Roy with a stern face.
"Human, this is no place for you."
Queen Hippolyta said coldly, eyes fixed on Roy.
She didn't know how Roy had reached Themyscira, nor who he really was, but one thing was certain: the island welcomed no mortal.
Long ago, Amazons and humans had shared a brief peace.
That ended the day humans began to enslave Amazons.
Amazons were not born of nature; the olympian godsshaped them to restore peace to the World.
The gods intended the Amazons to soften hearts tainted by Ares, God of War, and end strife among men.
Events, however, did not follow the Olympian script.
To the humans of that age, a race of beautiful women was perfect for slavery.
So mankind enslaved the Amazons.
Queen Hippolyta rose in revolt and freed her shackled sisters.
With the plan of love in ruins, Zeus and the gods shielded the Amazons.
Yet Ares hunted down and slew every guardian Zeussent.
Zeus was forced to confront the God of War himself, wounding him gravely.
Defeated but not slain, Ares vanished into hiding.
To keep him from butchering more Amazons, Zeus forged Themyscira, a refuge beyond Ares's reach.
Since then, Amazons have lived isolated upon their island.
Because humans once yielded to Ares and enslaved her people, Hippolyta trusts no mortal and treats every human as a foe.
"I mean no harm; my arrival on Themyscira is pure chance," Roy replied.
He spoke the truth.
Though he had crafted the Dimension Door, he had set its exit at random, with no idea it would open here.
He had simply picked a dimensional coordinate.
Hippolyta studied him. "Chance or not, you now stand on Amazon land."
"Seize him and bring him to the palace!" she commanded the knights behind her.
The tall, graceful warriors dismounted and moved to arrest the intruder.
Seeing their intent, Roy sighed. "I truly bear no ill will."
"Had I, you would already be dead."
He raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.
At the snap, every Amazon—save Diana and Hippolyta—froze, held motionless by Telepathy, some standing, some still astride their horses.
In the comics, Hippolyta enjoys the blessing of five Olympian goddesses, and her Amazons wield Superhuman strength, stamina, and centuries-long life.
But this is not the DC comic Universe; it is the cinematic one.
Here, beyond extended lifespan, Amazons are merely somewhat stronger than ordinary humans, far from Superhuman.
When her warriors turned to statues, Hippolyta's face grew wary.
She knew no Telepathy; the word magic flashed in her mind.
"You're a sorcerer?" she asked sharply.
"Yes," Roy answered.
Before he could say more, Diana spoke: "Roy means no harm; he came by accident."
"And he isn't from our World—he's from another Universe."
Another Universe?
The phrase sent a storm of emotions across Hippolyta's face.
To most, the multiverse is only theory.
Though she wielded no magic and could not travel realities, she knew other Universes exist.
So did the olympian gods.
After a moment's thought she said, "Even if you are a mage from another realm, Themyscira is forbidden."
"If your heart is innocent, you will not fear the lasso of truth."
Diana added, "The lasso of truth was forged by Hephaestus from Gaia's golden girdle; unbreakable, it compels truth from any bound by it."
"It is one of the sacred gifts the gods bestowed upon us."
"Besides the lasso of truth, the gods also granted—"
Hippolyta cut her off. "Enough. He need know only of the lasso."
Diana fell silent.
She needn't have spoken; Roy already knew of the lasso—and of the other gifts Zeus had left for her.
"I will face the lasso of truth," Roy said.
"But I have one condition."
"Name it," Hippolyta replied.
"Simple," Roy said.
"If the lasso finds me truthful, allow me to dwell on Themyscira."
He answered without hesitation.
He could live elsewhere, but the island's beauty—and Diana—made it ideal.
Hippolyta did not reply at once; her brow furrowed in thought.
Unlike the naïve Diana, the queen knew men, and she saw Roy's true motive at once.
He desired the fair, radiant Diana.
After ten seconds she said, "Pass the lasso's test, and you may stay."
"Agreed," Roy answered.
Chapter 167: Shy Diana
After reaching an agreement, Roy raised his right hand once more and snapped his fingers in front of Diana and Hippolyta.
Although he could have released the Amazon knights from their telepathic immobilization without snapping his fingers, he did it anyway.
For no other reason than it made him look more like a mage.
As the snap of his fingers rang out, the frozen Amazon knights regained their consciousness and mobility.
Unaware that Roy had already reached an agreement with Hippolyta, they continued to advance toward him.
Just then, Hippolyta's voice rang out.
"There is no need to arrest him; he will return to the palace with us of his own accord to face the trial of the lasso of truth."
What?
The surrounding Amazon knights looked at Hippolytawith surprise.
While immobilized by the Telepathy, they had lost all perception and awareness.
To put it simply, from their perspective, Hippolyta had just given the order to arrest Roy, and the next second she had changed her mind.
Though they didn't know what had happened, the Amazon knights approaching Roy all put away their spears.
The knights on horseback, who had been aiming at Roywith bows and arrows, also returned their arrows to their quivers.
Once the knights had stood down, Hippolyta spoke to Diana: "Come up, you're returning with me."
"Oh!"
Diana glanced back, took Hippolyta's right hand, and mounted the warhorse.
Seeing that Hippolyta had no intention of providing him with a horse, Roy shrugged with an air of indifference.
In the next second, he manifested his Iceman superpower, creating three pairs of Ice Feather Wings behind him that looked like crystal artworks.
What is this?
Seeing the Ice Feather Wings on his back, Diana, Hippolyta, and the other knights all showed expressions of astonishment.
Under their gaze, Roy said unhurriedly, "Just a simple little bit of magic."
Hippolyta gave him a complex look, tugged the reins, and took the lead toward the palace.
The other knights followed suit, galloping their horses away.
With a thought, Roy flapped the Ice Feather Wingsbehind him and flew into the air above Hippolyta and the others, following them to the palace.
Although he could have used teleportation or a Portal Spell to get there directly, he didn't intend to do so.
Hippolyta had not yet let go of her hostility toward him.
Furthermore, the Amazons in the palace didn't know him.
Under these circumstances, heading to the palace alone and unannounced would only cause unnecessary trouble.
More than ten minutes later.
Roy arrived at the palace located in Themyscira.
It was called a palace.
But compared to other buildings, the palace was not magnificent or golden at all.
The vast majority of the Amazons lived on the southern side of Themyscira, where they had built a town and palaces against the mountains, following the natural terrain of the island.
The buildings in the town were no different from European medieval stone houses.
A river ran through the town, partitioned into several waterfalls with modest drops.
Next to the town was the Amazons' training ground.
The palace was situated at the highest point of the town.
Roy was now in the main hall of the palace.
Unlike the palace halls he had seen before, the Amazons' palace hall was not very large, about two or three hundred square meters.
The hall had no roof, nor did it have square pillars or beams; it simply used the existing massive stone columns to define a completely open-air dome.
On the steps at the very front of the hall were three uniquely styled chairs.
The middle chair was the largest, its back featuring a rare spiral shape.
This was Hippolyta's throne.
On either side of the throne were two chairs with circular backs.
There were two pools on either side of the hall, with several rows of chairs neatly arranged beside them.
Even before reaching the palace hall, Hippolyta had already sent someone to the White Tower where treasures were kept to fetch the lasso of truth.
By the time they reached the palace hall, the lasso of truth had been delivered into Hippolyta's hands.
After entering the hall, Hippolyta did not sit on the throne at the front; instead, she stood on the steps before it and handed the lasso of truth to Diana.
"You bind him!"
Hippolyta said to Diana.
"Okay!"
Diana took the lasso of truth, stepped in front of Roy, and gave him an apologetic look.
"It's fine, go ahead!"
Roy said casually.
Diana said nothing, winding the lasso of truth around him several times and holding both ends of the rope.
In the next second, the lasso of truth, which originally looked ordinary like a hemp rope, shone with a golden light.
Simultaneously, Roy immediately felt a peculiar energy he had never experienced before.
Though it was his first time seeing it, he knew without thinking that this energy was divine power.
To be precise, it was the divine power of the olympian gods.
Roy did not let this divine power directly invade his mind; instead, he mobilized the mana and mental energy within his body.
After a simple test, he found that both his mana and mental energy could effectively prevent the divine power from invading his mind.
After thinking for a moment, he relaxed some of the restrictions, allowing a small portion of the divine power to enter his mind.
"What is your name?"
Seeing the lasso of truth shine with golden light, Hippolyta immediately asked.
"Roy Chen!"
Roy replied calmly.
"Who are you?"
Hippolyta continued to ask.
"A mage from another Universe."
Roy's expression remained very composed.
"How did you come to Themyscira?"
After confirming Roy's identity, Hippolyta began a more in-depth interrogation.
"I grew bored in my original Universe, so I wanted to visit other Universes to experience different customs and cultures, and to let myself travel and relax for a while."
"I randomly set the dimensional coordinate parameters for the Dimension Door magic, and then I arrived here."
Roy said unhurriedly.
Because he was telling the truth, the lasso of truth did not cause him any discomfort.
As for the divine power that had entered his mind, it did not exert the effect of forcing him to speak the truth.
Even if he were lying now, with his abilities, he could ignore the influence of the divine power and lie right in front of Hippolyta and the others.
"Will you harm the Amazons?"
Hippolyta looked at Roy seriously.
"Unless you harm me first, I will absolutely not take the initiative to act against you."
Roy responded quickly.
Upon hearing his answer, Hippolyta did not immediately ask another question but instead glanced at Diana.
After thinking for a few seconds, she continued, "Why do you want to stay on Themyscira?"
"It's simple, because I've fallen for Diana."
Having said that, Roy turned to look at Diana.
What?
Diana clearly hadn't expected Roy's reason for staying on Themyscira to be that he liked her, and she was immediately stunned.
After a few seconds, a shy blush that had never appeared before surfaced on her exquisite, fair, heart-shaped face.
Seeing Diana's expression, Hippolyta immediately frowned.
She didn't need the lasso of truth to know that Roy was after Diana.
But what she hadn't expected was that Diana seemed to have also taken a bit of a liking to Roy.
Hippolyta did indeed know Diana well, but she had overlooked a very important point.
That is, unlike those of them who had once lived in the outside world and dealt with human males, Diana, who had grown up on Themyscira since childhood, had never had contact with any member of the opposite sex.
As the first man Diana had ever seen, Roy didn't have to do anything to occupy a very important place in her heart.
Hippolyta had originally intended to let Diana know that Roy was not a good person, but a bad man plotting for her beauty.
But clearly, things had developed in a direction she hadn't anticipated.
"Does Your Majesty have any other questions to ask?"
Seeing Hippolyta fall silent, Roy took the initiative to ask.
Hippolyta did not answer him and said to Diana, "Diana, release him."
"Okay!"
Without any hesitation, Diana immediately untied the lasso of truth from Roy's body.
Once untied, the lasso of truth returned to its original appearance, no longer shining with golden light.
Only when Diana had retracted the lasso of truth did Hippolyta say to Roy, "You have passed the trial of the lasso of truth. As agreed, I will grant you the right to reside on Themyscira..."
At this point, she paused, thought seriously for a moment, and then continued, "Diana, arrange a room for him inside the palace."
She had originally intended to drive Roy out of the town and let him find his own place to live.
But on second thought, rather than driving Roy out, it was better to keep him in the palace under surveillance.
Although the other Amazons on Themyscira weren't like Diana, who had never encountered another man, who knew if someone might suddenly feel empty, lonely, or cold and quietly go looking for Roy.
To prevent this from happening, Hippolyta felt it was better to keep Roy under her nose for monitoring.
If nothing else, trespassing into the palace would be more difficult than leaving the town.
"Okay!"
Diana immediately nodded.
Then, she said to Roy, "Follow me."
"Okay!"
Roy replied quickly.
Under the watchful eyes of Hippolyta and the others, Royfollowed Diana out of the palace hall.
Once out of the hall, Diana turned back into that curious young girl and immediately began asking Roy all sorts of questions.
For instance, what kind of magic were the Ice Feather Wings he had just created, how many other types of magic did he know, had he ever been to other Universes, and how long did he plan to stay in this Universe.
And also, why did he like her.
To the earlier questions, Roy didn't hide anything from Diana and gave her true answers.
As for the last question, he gave the answer "love at first sight."
He wouldn't tell Diana that he had known who she was all along, much less tell her why he knew so much.
If he told Diana the truth, it would mean revealing that he was a transmigrator.
Even though Diana was not a bad person, he still didn't intend to let her know that he was a transmigrator.
Hearing that the reason Roy liked her was love at first sight, Diana's exquisite, fair, heart-shaped face once again flushed with an alluring crimson.
Due to her shyness, Diana didn't say anything more for the rest of the time, leading Roy to a room carved out of a mountain cave.
The room wasn't very large, only twenty or thirty square meters.
Although it was a room carved out of a cave, it was well-furnished, with all the necessary furniture and daily necessities provided.
More importantly, the room had a viewing balcony that overlooked the entire town, offering an unobstructed view of the town's scenery.
After bringing Roy to the viewing balcony, Diana said to him, "You'll be living here from now on. That balcony over there is the balcony of my room."
Diana pointed with her finger to the balcony of her own room.
"Okay, I see."
Roy replied quickly.
Though not in the same section, Diana's room was not very far from his.
In terms of straight-line distance, it was only about one or two hundred meters.
"The one next to my room is Mother's room."
Diana pointed to the balcony next to hers, which offered a commanding view and was even larger than Roy's room—to be precise, it was a room like a small garden.
After briefing Roy on some matters to note, such as where the bathroom and dining hall were, and that the Great White Tower was a restricted area, Diana left.
Watching Diana leave, Roy sat down on a chair on the balcony and began to think about his future plans.
Although he didn't know exactly what year it was in the outside world, judging by Diana's age, World War Ishould already be underway out there.
As for exactly how long it had been going on, he couldn't be certain right now.
However, that wasn't a problem for him.
Even without the help of cerebro, his Telepathy could now cover the entire globe.
In other words, he only needed to exert his Telepathyfully once to find out the intelligence he wanted to know.
However, he wasn't in a hurry to figure out exactly which year it was right now.
He had already made up his mind.
As long as Steve Trevor didn't show up, he wouldn't leave Themyscira.
Because before that, Diana wouldn't have any thought of leaving Themyscira either.
As for after Steve Trevor arrived, that would be very simple.
Just follow them and leave.
Since he had come to this Universe, he would absolutely not let Diana and Steve Trevor become lovers.
Diana was his; let alone Steve Trevor, even if Zeusbrought the olympian gods along, they shouldn't expect to take Diana from his hands.
After finishing his thoughts on the future arrangements, Roy calmly admired the town's scenery.
He wondered if it was because this Universe didn't have so-called political correctness, but since arriving on Themyscira, he hadn't encountered any Black women.
When he watched the movies, he had been very dissatisfied with this point.
The Amazons were a race created by the olympian godsbased on the image of goddesses.
In other words, Black-skinned Amazons shouldn't have appeared at all.
However, due to political correctness, Black-skinned Amazons had been forced into the movies.
Although he didn't know the specific reason, the fact that there were no Black women on Themyscira in this Universe was a happy thing for Roy.
After standing on the viewing balcony and admiring the scenery for a while, Roy left the room, preparing to go outside for a stroll and experience the customs and local delicacies of Themyscira
Chapter 168: Hippolyta's Arrangement
Roy never expected that the Dimension Door, for which he had randomly set coordinates, would lead him to Themyscira in the DC Universe.
Although it was a bit unexpected, he was very satisfied with this result.
If he hadn't happened to arrive here, even if he knew of the existence of the DC Movie Universe, he would have had no way to get here.
Or rather, before knowing the specific dimensional coordinates, he had no way of coming to this Universe.
After coming out of the room, Roy walked towards the palace hall based on the memories in his mind.
He had only just arrived here and was not clear about the specific layout of the palace.
He only knew two routes now.
One was the route from the town to the palace hall.
The other was the route from the palace hall to his room.
As for anything else, he was currently unaware.
Before long, he returned to the palace hall.
At this time, there was no one in the palace hall; Hippolyta and the other Amazons had left.
He did not linger in the hall and walked towards the town.
However, not long after he left the hall, he was stopped by a middle-aged woman with a heroic aura.
To be precise, she was a woman with a middle-aged appearance but an actual age exceeding a thousand years.
Roy had never seen her before.
However, after seeing her attire and appearance, he quickly realized who she was.
The person blocking him was none other than Hippolyta's sister, the General of the Amazons and Diana's teacher, Antiope.
"Where are you going?"
Antiope looked at Roy with a face full of vigilance and asked quickly.
"Just going out for a stroll."
Roy replied.
Although Antiope's attitude was not very polite, he didn't take it to heart.
As the General of the Amazons, Antiope treated defending the safety of Themyscira as her top priority.
She trained Diana also to give Diana the ability to fight Ares, God of War, and protect the Amazons from being harmed by Ares.
"Without the Queen's order, you cannot leave the palace,"
Antiope said quickly.
"I am not a prisoner. Where I want to go is my freedom!"
"A piece of advice: it's best if you don't try to stop me."
"Otherwise, the one who gets hurt will definitely be you."
Roy looked at Antiope with a look of displeasure.
He knew why Antiope was hostile towards him, but that didn't mean he would let Antiope stop him from leaving as she pleased.
The Amazons had indeed been enslaved by humans before.
But he had never enslaved the Amazons.
Even though they were both human, he had nothing to do with those humans who enslaved the Amazons back then.
Upon hearing Roy's words, Antiope's expression immediately became incomparably cold, and her right hand instantly gripped the hilt of her sword.
'Why must you force me to take action?'
Roy sighed helplessly in his heart.
Then, he decisively cast Telepathy.
Before Antiope could react, Roy used Telepathy to strip her of her body control and said to her, "My patience is limited."
"If you still don't recognize the gap between us, I don't mind letting you remember it through pain."
Never mind Antiope, even if all the Amazons on Themyscira attacked together, they wouldn't be Roy's match.
Even with Diana added, it would be the same.
Roy had already used Telepathy to read Diana's memories and knew that Diana had not yet awakened her divine power.
However, even if Diana awakened her divine power, she still wouldn't be his match.
To be a bit arrogant, let alone Diana who was just a Demigod, even if Diana's father Zeus, the King of Gods, took action, he wouldn't be able to take him down.
Zeus was indeed the King of the olympian gods, but Zeusin the DC Movie Universe wasn't considered very strong.
Regarding this point, one only needs to look at when Darkseid invaded Earth.
To stop Darkseid, the olympian gods, Green Lanterns, Amazons, Atlanteans, and Humans—five parties joined forces—to finally drive Darkseid away.
That's right!
That's right, even with so many people gathered, they only drove Darkseid away and didn't completely kill him.
Using Darkseid as a reference point, one could know what kind of strength the Zeus and olympian gods of the DC Movie Universe possessed.
Although she was very dissatisfied with Roy's attitude and tone, after discovering that she could not control her body below the neck no matter what, Antiopeimmediately showed a look of astonishment.
Then, she glared at Roy with a face full of vigilance.
Roy directly ignored her dissatisfaction and glare and walked towards the palace gates.
As for Antiope, she stood on the spot motionless, as if she were being punished with a timeout.
Only after leaving the palace did Roy release the Telepathy and return body control to Antiope.
Taking a look around, he walked towards what appeared to be the commercial district.
Just after coming out of the palace, Roy received a large amount of attention.
The news that Hippolyta allowed him to live on Themyscira spread through the entire town at an alarming speed.
This was normal.
Because he was the first man to arrive at Themyscirasince its creation, and Hippolyta had given him the right to live there.
Regarding this arrangement by Hippolyta, except for Diana, no one else particularly understood it.
Although they didn't understand why Hippolyta did this, they wouldn't go as far as to publicly oppose her.
Regardless, Hippolyta was the Queen who had rescued them from human slavery and had received the blessings of the olympian gods.
As long as Hippolyta didn't issue an order that was too outrageous.
For example, an order for everyone to commit suicide or to give them to the humans outside as slaves, they would not oppose Hippolyta.
Roy didn't care about others pointing and staring at him; he headed straight for the street that seemed to be the commercial district.
Before long, he arrived at that busy street where many Amazons were gathered.
Roy originally thought this was the town's commercial district.
As it turned out, he had oversimplified things.
Themyscira was indeed a self-sufficient small society.
But on Themyscira, there were no commercial, industrial, or service industries.
The busy street he had mistaken for a commercial district was actually a place where the Amazons ate and rested after completing their daily work and training.
In other words, this was the Amazons' cafeteria and rest area.
The reason Antiope had met him just as he was leaving the palace wasn't because she was waiting for him specifically, but was a coincidence.
Antiope was the General on Themyscira.
Besides being responsible for the defense of Themyscira, the daily training of the Amazon Warriors was also part of her job description.
After learning that a human male had come to Themyscira, she immediately ended today's daily training and prepared to go to the palace to meet Hippolyta to find out exactly what was going on.
As a result, not long after entering the palace, she encountered Roy.
And the Amazon Warriors who had finished their training early had come here to enjoy lunch.
After discovering that this wasn't the town's commercial district, Roy sighed helplessly, preparing to go elsewhere.
Just then, Diana, having learned that he had left the palace, jogged all the way to him.
"Why did you come out?"
Diana asked Roy.
"It's nothing, just coming out to take a look."
"I thought this was a marketplace and planned to see what was special about an Amazon marketplace. I didn't expect this to be a public cafeteria."
Roy replied quickly.
Hearing his answer, Diana said with a smile, "Unlike the outside world, Themyscira has no marketplace and no merchants; all Amazons are warriors."
"However, blacksmiths, cooks, tailors, and such—Themyscira still has those."
"It's just that these are secondary professions besides being a warrior."
After saying that, Diana glanced at the Amazon Warriors who were dining and said to Roy, "Since you're already here, are you interested in tasting the daily diet of an Amazon Warrior?"
"Sure!"
Roy did not refuse and immediately replied.
Although this wasn't the local delicacy he had initially envisioned, he didn't mind enjoying an Amazon Warrior's 'work meal.'
The Amazons' culture was somewhat different from the outside world, but the possibility of their food culture being completely different was not high.
Regardless, the Amazons had also been in contact with humans for a period of time back then.
Even after hiding away on Themyscira, it was unlikely they would develop a very bizarre cuisine.
"Follow me!"
After saying that, Diana took the lead and walked towards the center of the street.
Roy did not hesitate and quickly followed.
Soon, they arrived at the center of the street and entered a building.
From the outside, this building had no difference from other buildings on the street except for being larger.
But after entering, the layout inside immediately made Roy think of a university cafeteria.
In the spacious hall, rows of tables and chairs were neatly arranged.
On one side of the hall was a counter similar to a food ordering window.
Besides the layout being very like a university cafeteria, the dining style here was also very similar.
Trays and utensils were placed to the side for self-collection.
Whatever you wanted to eat, you ordered at different windows.
If there was one thing that had to be said to be different, it was that all the food here was free.
With Diana leading the way in front, the Amazon Warriors in the hall didn't make any other moves; they just kept eyeing him with their gazes.
After arriving at the ordering window, Roy found that the Amazons' menu was very similar to Western food.
Bread, sandwiches, noodles, grilled meat, steak, fried eggs, mashed potatoes, fried fish, ham, sausage, pancakes, vegetable salad... After finishing ordering, Royand Diana sat down at an empty table.
"Your Universe should also have these foods, right?"
Diana asked Roy.
"Yes, and the cooking methods are also similar."
Roy replied.
"Then it seems the Universe you are in has many similarities to this one. The cooking methods for these foods were all learned by the Amazons from humans."
"Of course, we've modified some to make the taste more in line with our habits."
Diana continued.
The Amazons were not a naturally born race, so they borrowed from human culture in many places.
Not just diet, but weapons, clothing, and so on also borrowed from human culture at that time.
As for now.
Except for the diet, other aspects were far removed from human society.
However, this was also normal.
After arriving at Themyscira, it was as if the Amazons had pressed a culture pause button, while the humans outside continued to develop.
Roy briefly tasted the food in front of him and found that compared to the Western food he knew, the taste of these foods was much lighter, preserving the original flavor of the ingredients.
However, he still quite liked this light cooking method.
Additionally, he didn't know if it was because Diana was sitting opposite him, but Roy found that the taste of the food had become a bit better.
Roy and Diana chatted while enjoying the food in front of them.
"Do you usually not have to participate in training?"
Even though he had already read Diana's memories, Roywasn't stupid enough to say it out loud, so he asked Diana.
"I do!"
"But I don't participate in collective training; instead, I'm trained separately by Aunt Antiope."
"Aunt Antiope is my mother's sister, and also the General of the Amazons. She is a great warrior second only to my mother..."
At this point, Diana paused and then continued, "I have training this afternoon. If you have time, you can come and watch."
"Sure!"
"I also really want to see what the Amazons' training is like."
Roy replied quickly.
From his perspective, the Amazons' strength wasn't considered strong.
But it couldn't be denied that the Amazons were indeed excellent warriors, proficient in various cold weapons and close-quarters combat.
Not only that, because of their attire and figures, the Amazons' fighting postures were all quite good-looking.
"Then after eating, I'll take you to Aunt Antiope."
Diana said with a smile.
At this time, she didn't know that Roy had already met Antiope, let alone that Roy had given Antiope a small lesson by making her stand in time-out.
Palace.
Hippolyta's study.
Antiope stood in front of the desk, looking at Hippolytawith a face full of confusion, and spoke, "Why give that man named Roy the right to live on Themyscira?"
"He is not an Amazon; he doesn't have the qualification to live on Themyscira."
Glancing at Antiope, Hippolyta answered her unhurriedly, "He passed the test of the lasso of truth."
"Even if he told the truth, there's no need to give him the right to live on Themyscira."
"He is a human, and a man at that!"
Antiope continued.
"I know you don't trust humans, especially human males."
"But I have already publicly allowed him to stay on Themyscira."
"Whether you accept it or not, he will remain on Themyscira."
"Furthermore, I do not wish to see you questioning my decisions again."
Hippolyta looked at Antiope with a serious face and said quickly.
If the person standing in front of her now were not Antiope but someone else, she wouldn't have said so much; she would have directly ordered them to leave.
If the other party were unwilling to leave, she would have had the guards seize them and then throw them into the dungeon.
Seeing the serious expression on Hippolyta's face, Antiope said slowly, "I am not questioning your decision; I just don't understand why you would do this."
When Antiope's attitude softened, Hippolyta sighed helplessly.
If she could, she also wanted to drive Roy out of Themyscira or directly kill him.
But the problem was, she couldn't do it.
Roy had already proven with practical actions that he was not an easy person to deal with.
Additionally, the lasso of truth also proved that he had no ill will towards the Amazons.
Under these circumstances, sacrificing a large number of Amazon lives to drive away or kill Roy was simply not worth it no matter how you looked at it.
After thinking for a moment, Hippolyta said to Antiope, "His strength is very high, stronger than any man you or I have met before. Rashly becoming enemies with him will only bring unnecessary death."
"You are the General of the Amazons; find a way to figure out his true strength."
"Additionally, if possible, devise a feasible combat plan."
