Chapter 147. Wolverine 2! Going to the Yashida Family to "Borrow" Some Money! (Please subscribe!)

One month later.

Los Angeles.

Outskirts.

Eustass walked into the underground Base.

Phoenix and the others followed him into a room with extremely strict security.

"This is Jimmy. He is also a Mutant, but his ability is to suppress the Mutant gene."

After Eustass finished speaking, he and Phoenix sat down beside Jimmy.

Jean felt strange; all her powers had completely vanished!

It felt like something else was gone too, but she didn't know what it was.

"Don't worry, child, we won't hurt you."

Eustass rubbed the child's head and smiled.

He had sent people to take this special child away before the relevant organizations could.

Eustass had no intention of harming Jimmy; on the contrary, he believed Jimmy would be of great use.

Although Jimmy's ability can restrain Mutants, Eustasswon't use it against Mutants.

Instead, he plans to use it against the Sentinel.

The Sentinel can simulate Mutant abilities, primarily relying on Mystique's genes.

But weapons created using Jimmy's ability can neutralize the Sentinel.

"According to our reliable intelligence, as early as 1973, Mystique was captured by the America Government. A dwarf named Bolivar Trask utilized her genes, intending to create the Sentinel, which can adapt to Mutant abilities and use the target's powers to counterattack.

And based on my calculations, the official launch of the Sentinel Project will happen within the next ten years.

We must do our best to counter this kind of weapon."

After Eustass finished speaking, he patted Jimmy's little bald head.

Jimmy is the Antidote.

The Antidote that kills the Sentinel!

As for why humans ultimately abandoned the Sentinel Project in Days of Future Past, the reason is simple: Magneto drilled steel rods into the Sentinels and controlled them to fire upon humanity.

The reason the Sentinel Project failed in the new timeline was not because Mystique later saved the America high-ranking officials.

Rather, it was because people themselves realized the danger posed by the Sentinel.

Having reviewed history and learned lessons, we know that history tells us... humans never learn and constantly repeat their mistakes!

Therefore, Eustass believes the only way to change the Mutant World is to possess the power to control the World.

Attack directly, without the self-pity seen in Days of Future Past.

Leaving the room.

"Is there another way? I feel like many tragedies will occur in the World like this..."

Jean quickly said.

"There is another way, which is to use Jimmy's blood to create an Antidote, then widely disperse it into the Water sources across the World. Through Earth's Water Cycle System, everyone would ingest the Antidote's components, making people ordinary globally."

Eustass looked at them and said, "This way, without Mutants, the problem naturally solves itself."

"But how is that different from surrendering?"

Eustass smiled and walked away as he spoke, "Even if this generation of Mutants is gone, the next generation will still produce Mutants. At that point, there will definitely be organizations wanting to use Mutants for human experimentation. The best approach is not to compromise!

The source of the conflict is not the common people, but the Financial Oligarchs behind the scenes.

As long as they exist, they will dare to do anything for profit.

Even destroy the World. Don't be so naive."

Several months later.

Inside a Chinese Restaurant in Los Angeles.

Eustass arrived by car and met Logan, along with a Japanese Woman with dyed red hair who was holding a Katana.

"Who is this?"

Eustass asked, puzzled.

"Hello, my name is Yukio, My Lord Mola. I have long admired your reputation."

The Japanese Woman with dyed red hair held the Katanaand bowed respectfully.

"Lots of formalities, but unnecessary."

Eustass waved his hand and walked inside with Logan.

"Why don't you seem to like this person much?"

Logan asked, puzzled.

"Not really."

Eustass waved his hand. "What, you found a Japanese Girl as a girlfriend? She's just a little, uh, plain."

"I understand English, My Lord Mola,"

Yukio quickly said.

"Why do you call me My Lord?"

Eustass looked at Yukio.

"Because you are very powerful."

Yukio bowed and spoke, not daring to look at Eustass.

Wolverine is strong, but Yukio's Master has always harbored ill intentions toward Wolverine and never respected him deep down; Wolverine just thought they treated him as a friend.

Yukio's Master is not afraid of Wolverine.

Therefore, Yukio adopted the same attitude as her Master, which is why she showed no fear toward Wolverine.

But Eustass is different.

Eustass is very strong, backed by advanced technology, and he is ruthless, repaying every grudge. Yukio and the people behind her are truly terrified.

"I get it, Strength Worship,"

Eustass said with a mocking laugh, walking into the Private Room.

"I have to go to Japan these next few days, so I wanted to tell you beforehand."

Logan, sitting not far from Eustass, quickly said.

He had been having nightmares lately and happened to run into Yukio. Yukio said a Japanese Friend he saved last century was dying and wanted to see him one last time before death.

Logan figured he might as well go see him and take a break.

"Japan, that place is great. I happen to be going over there to take a look, I've always wanted to visit."

Eustass looked at Yukio, then glanced at Logan, already guessing what was going on.

It seems the Wolverine 2 plot is about to begin.

"Well..."

Yukio looked at Eustass, hesitating slightly.

A reply from someone at Yashida Corporation came through the headset she wore.

"You may."

Yukio quickly responded.

Eustass glanced at the Space Stone set in the ring on his finger and smiled.

It seems Ichiro Yashida is not only targeting Wolverine's Healing Factor but also the ring on his hand?

It's not hard to understand; Eustass has used the Space Stone in public, so it's normal for careful observers to make the connection.

However, Ichiro Yashida would surely cry aloud if he knew Eustass's true purpose.

Eustass also has a purpose for going to Japan.

Eustass's organization has successfully replicated the nano armor, but it currently lacks two things.

One is sufficient Funding.

Since Yashida Corporation is the Largest Financial Consortium in Japan, Eustass needs to "borrow" some money so he has sufficient Funding to develop and expand the Nano Legion.

The other is Weapon Materials.

Ichiro Yashida is dying. To survive, the guy spent a lot of money buying a large amount of Adamantium.

Eustass needs Adamantium to build his legion.

"I go when I want to go; I don't need your permission. Get your place right, or I won't mind killing you."

Eustass grabbed Yukio's sword and said coldly.

"Yes, sir!"

Yukio quickly lowered her head, her body trembling non-stop.

Eustass smiled.

Japan is just like that.

They Bully the Weak and Fear the Strong.

Chapter 149: Someone Wants to Steal Wolverine's Abilities! (Please subscribe!)

"May I ask, if it's not too rude, who did you learn your swordsmanship from?"

Yukio quickly followed, asking curiously.

"Many people."

Eustass replied perfunctorily. When he was in the Marvel Universe, he had sought out many schools of swordsmanship, and even martial artists from Zhonghua.

He had learned both Zhonghua's sword arts and Nihon's kendo.

Otherwise, Eustass, with only strength, wouldn't have been so smooth in the early stages.

"Where is your hometown?"

Yukio was very curious.

"None of your business."

Eustass immediately blurted out a national curse.

Yukio was stunned for a moment, as if she now knew where he was from.

However, even if Eustass cursed at her, she dared not talk back.

If this were a servant of an old Nihon family, they would even have to smile and say, 'You cursed me well.'

Not long after.

Eustass and Wolverine arrived at Yashida's medical room.

Outside was a Japanese-style building, but behind the door was a highly technological medical room.

The elderly Yashida Shingen lay there.

A delicate woman with braids and a mask sat beside him. This was Ichiro Yashida's granddaughter, Mariko Yashida.

Once Ichiro Yashida dies, Mariko will become the next heir of the Yashida Family, inheriting all of the family's assets, connections, funds, and technology.

Of course, the old Yashida had no intention of dying.

Eustass stood outside, admiring the future little rich girl Mariko, while also glancing disdainfully at old Yashida.

In the plot, Mariko was quite kind, so why was old Yashida such an ungrateful bastard?

Mariko walked out, took off her mask, glanced at Eustassand Wolverine, then walked towards Yukio and hugged her, crying.

Wolverine looked at Eustass, then at Mariko, speechless.

Good heavens, this guy never forgets to 'get to know' beautiful women wherever he goes.

"Be careful, they might tear you apart someday. You're too much of a playboy."

Logan quickly whispered a reminder.

"No, this isn't being a playboy. This is knowing how to appreciate beauty and protect beautiful things."

Eustass chuckled.

Wolverine was speechless. You make so much sense... "Who are they?"

Mariko asked in confusion.

"One is someone your Grandpa invited, and the other is his friend, a very powerful person. Don't be too willful, Miss."

Yukio quickly whispered to Mariko, "He has a very bad temper, like a tyrant. Be careful."

"I understand, but it's best if they shower before seeing Grandpa. Grandpa is very weak and shouldn't get a bacterial infection."

After Mariko finished speaking, she quickly turned and left.

Eustass stood behind Yukio and tapped her.

"Next time you badmouth someone, do it from further away."

Eustass finished speaking and turned to leave.

Yukio was so scared she plopped down on the floor.

Eustass had released his killing intent on her again.

However, Eustass wanted to flirt with Mariko, which was why he hadn't killed her.

To describe it in a short sentence, Yukio was Mariko's companion, someone to play with her.

Eustass didn't want to be scrubbed down with a brush, so he left directly to wander around.

As for bacteria or not... it didn't matter!

The sooner old Yashida died, the sooner he could happily snatch his granddaughter and his property.

Soon after.

Eustass and Wolverine came to the medical room together. A female Doctor with a mask, blonde hair, and glasses walked into the room, smiling at the two.

Eustass quickly put on a mask.

He didn't mind giving Ichiro Yashida some bacteria, but he didn't want Ichiro Yashida to give him some infectious disease.

Eustass glanced at the blonde female Doctor. This woman was a Mutant.

Eustass's Observation Haki could sense the difference in aura between Mutants and ordinary people.

Doctor Green glanced at the ring on Eustass's hand, looking at the sparkling Space Stone on it, and a hint of greed flashed in her eyes.

Eustass smiled. She wanted his Space Stone?

Daydreaming!

What he had on his hand was a fake; the real one was in the nano core.

"Doctor Green, could you please leave us to chat quietly for a while?"

Ichiro Yashida quickly said.

"Five minutes, no more."

Green said, then turned and left.

"Hello, Mr. Eustass Mola! I apologize, but I am gravely ill and cannot get up to bow."

Ichiro Yashida said respectfully.

"I grew up in the West, so don't bother with that."

Eustass waved his hand. It was just politeness; in reality, he just didn't like this ungrateful person bowing to him.

He still quite liked learning about ancient history and cultures of various countries.

"My apologies."

Ichiro Yashida quickly said.

"No need for all that formality. You just talk to him; I'll look around."

Eustass said, then turned and walked around the room.

"If you like samurai swords, I can give you a few."

Ichiro Yashida saw Eustass walk to the sword rack and quickly said.

"This junk? Forget it."

Eustass drew a sword, flicking his finger. With each flick, a section of the blade broke off and flew away.

Ichiro Yashida was dumbfounded, so envious... He glanced at Logan, thinking, if only he could take Logan's ability, he could be that strong, right?

Eustass walked around, looking at things and flicking blade pieces, while beside him, Ichiro Yashida was thanking Logan for saving him back then.

However, the more he talked, the more something felt off.

Ichiro Yashida spoke of repaying Logan, but in reality, he suggested finding a way to transfer Logan's abilities to him.

Was this repayment?

This was more like a beating!

Eustass smiled, and Wolverine also smiled.

Although Wolverine had been having nightmares recently, Eustass had given him a new direction: he would lead their Mutants to create a new future.

And now this old scoundrel said he wanted his abilities?

Logan really found it amusing. He had a goal to strive for, and he no longer wanted to die as he did in the original plot.

But this person had ulterior motives!

Ichiro Yashida even said that Logan was a 'wolfman,' a samurai who had lost his Master.

Eustass was also amused.

This grandson had no small ambition.

He wanted to be Wolverine's Master now, and later he would want to be the Master of the whole World.

Nihon was a very strange place.

It was urban and modernized, but people's thoughts were still stuck in old traditional ideas.

It was already the 21st century, and they were still playing the servant game.

"Yashida Corporation is omnipotent. We can transfer your abilities to me. Haven't you always wanted to die? I can help you."

Ichiro Yashida quickly said.

"Impossible, that's impossible."

Logan quickly waved his hand, "Listen, I'm glad to see you again, and I'm sorry you're sick, but that's all."

"Please, Logan-san, I need you!"

Ichiro Yashida grabbed Logan's arm unwillingly, his heart rate accelerating, "I'm worried about my family, I'm worried about everything I've built! Please, they'll kill her!"

"Who?"

Logan quickly asked.

"Mariko, my precious granddaughter, someone must protect her!"

Ichiro Yashida shouted.

"Your granddaughter is quite good. I'll help you protect her~"

Eustass smiled, looking at Ichiro Yashida.

Yashida was stunned for a moment. Was it the kind of protection he was thinking of? Why did this young man's smile feel a little off... Logan pulled his hand away from Yashida and walked out.

As soon as he stepped out, he saw Mariko being slapped by her profligate father.

Mariko ran towards the sea, feeling despair about her family, wanting to jump into the ocean.

Eustass quickly walked over and wrapped an arm around her slender waist.

Mariko pushed him twice but couldn't get away.

"There are many ways to solve problems, but the simplest way is always the worst."

Eustass said.

Mariko looked up at him.

"The strong don't throw themselves into the sea; they ride the wind and waves and face their enemies head-on."

Eustass looked down and smiled at her.

Mariko quickly ran out of his arms, her face slightly flushed.

Chapter 150 – Wolverine Loses an Old Friend, DoctorGreen Dances on Knife-Point! (Subscribe, please!)

That night Eustass stayed in the room next to Wolverine's; rain drummed on the roof without pause.

Eustass walked to the table, glanced at the tea inside the pot, and poured it straight out.

That female Doctor called Green had slipped poison into the tea—did she really think he'd drink it?

Under his Observation Haki, normal tea and tainted tea gave off completely different auras.

He lay down, pulled up the quilt, and rested.

He'd barely fallen asleep when a figure slipped over the windowsill and tiptoed toward him.

"Doctor Green, are you here for a… memorable experience with me?"

Eustass tilted his head; a blonde Mutant named Greenstood before him.

"Exactly. A big, tall man like you is impossible not to admire."

Green replied calmly, smiling, not a trace of panic on her face.

"Then dance for me."

Eustass grinned.

"What?"

Green was stunned.

"Keep the music going—keep dancing~"

Eustass teased. "Not feeling it? Need some encouragement?"

A blade appeared in his hand—taken from the Yashida estate—and he slashed the floor.

The knife fell; Green yelped and leapt aside.

She tried to retreat, but another slash sealed her path, a fresh gouge in the floor behind her.

Green stared at the cut, eyelids twitching, and jumped again.

Eustass kept hacking at the boards beneath her; she had to keep hopping—any closer and she'd be lame for life.

Blade after blade, jump after jump—Green was toyed with like a marionette.

Whenever she tried to fight back, a flash of steel nearly took her arm off.

Only then did she realize Eustass's swordsmanship was so fierce that even young Ichiro Yashida might not match him.

Much less herself—against his blade she had zero chance.

The instant she thought of moving, he read her intent.

"Keep the music going—keep dancing. You'll learn to love it~"

Eustass chuckled.

Green rued the day she'd listened to that old Yashida and tried to steal Eustass's ring. No ring, and now she'd delivered herself to a tiger.

Dance? She hated the very word now.

Outside, footsteps echoed along the corridor.

Eustass sensed them—Logan's stride.

With a wave of his hand he released her; Green bolted out the window like a prisoner pardoned.

A knock sounded at the door.

Eustass slipped into sneakers, glanced at the clogs the servant had set out, and kicked them aside.

Wearing clogs in the rain—are you nuts?

He opened the door to find Wolverine standing there.

"What's up?"

Eustass asked.

"Ichiro Yashida is dead."

Logan said quietly.

Eustass followed his gaze: across the courtyard a stretcher rolled slowly by, Ichiro Yashida lying beneath a white sheet.

"Everyone dies eventually."

Eustass murmured, patting Logan's shoulder.

"If you had to choose—immortality or a natural life-span?"

Logan asked.

"A natural life. It's enough."

Eustass replied.

"Is that so?"

Logan pondered.

"Of course it's immortality—who ever thinks they live too long?"

Eustass laughed, leaving Logan speechless.

The next day.

At dawn news of Ichiro Yashida's death swept across Japan.

The Yashida Group, Japan's top conglomerate, carried undeniable influence.

Every notable figure from business and politics arrived—ostensibly to bid the Family Head farewell, each nursing private schemes.

Eustass rode in with Wolverine; Doctor Green, in a black dress, shot Logan a playful smile.

Last night she had "ambushed" Logan, slipping a Suppressor Insect into him while pretending to bite.

Logan remained oblivious, believing she'd merely poisoned him.

"You danced pretty well yesterday—been practising in bars?"

Eustass teased Green.

Flushed with embarrassment, she forced a laugh and hurried off.

"What was that about?"

Logan asked, puzzled.

"She broke into my room last night—probably to steal something. I found her and amused myself with a blade."

Eustass explained, grinning.

Logan was dumbstruck—only you, man.

Too embarrassed to mention his own ambush, he cleared his throat and walked inside.

As they approached the hall Eustass felt a hostile stare.

He glanced at the roof: a Japanese man crouched there in black, ninja-like yet faintly ridiculous.

Everyone knows that, against a Haki-user, a ninja is a joke—unless Oda gives him plot armour.

Eustass waved cheerfully and followed Logan inside.

He guessed the rooftop watcher was the Yashidas' Black Ninja—Harada Kenichirō.

The same man who'd been Mariko's childhood sweetheart.

After he'd held Mariko so long yesterday, Harada must be furious—

hilarious.

Inside, Wolverine glanced at Eustass, then at the man beside Mariko; Yukio introduced him.

"Beside Miss Mariko is Nobuteru Mori, Minister of Justice—bound for greatness; her fiancé."

Yukio said.

"You mean 'has a bright future'."

Eustass stifled a laugh.

"Huh?"

Yukio looked at him, confused.

"Cut short mid-journey."

Eustass strode on.

Yukio and Logan exchanged glances, finally catching his drift—

bright future, but maybe no future at all.

"Bow."

Yukio whispered urgently as they reached Yashida Shingen.

Eustass stopped Logan—bow, my ass.

No bow—let's see what the old man can do to his godfather.

On the world stage,

this little island's just a naughty kid.

Yashida Shingen glared; Logan had started to bow but, taking Eustass's cue, refrained.

"Disgraceful,"

Yashida snapped; attendants tugged his sleeves, deeming him the rude one.

"Handshake?"

Eustass smiled at Yashida. "We're not used to local customs."

Yashida's face softened; he extended a hand—Eustassslapped it away.

"He actually bought that? Haha—"

Eustass walked off laughing; Western businessmen joined in, eyeing Yashida Shigen with contempt.

Eustass had dared to threaten the U.S. government—Yashida Shigen was mere trash in comparison.

He really didn't know his place.

Chapter 151. 151. Kidnapping Wolverine's Old Friend's Granddaughter at His Funeral! (Please subscribe!)

But that makes sense. If the Yashida Family had any sense, Ichiro Yashida wouldn't have tried to steal Eustass's things.

The fake upper echelons of Japan:

Extremely polite, respectful of etiquette, rigorous and serious in their work, logically precise, and sensible.

The real upper echelons of Japan:

Minor courtesies are just for show; great righteousness and morality fundamentally do not exist. They only copy homework, and when copying homework, they don't even change the name. Minor mistakes are concealed, major ones are delayed, and a Level 2 incident can be dragged out until it becomes a Level 7 incident.

Logic? What the hell is logic? When money is involved, all intelligence must take a backseat.

They never have any sense in their hearts: boundless greed, ingratitude, gambler's mentality. They forever crave things they shouldn't have, always wanting to sneak attack their Daddies... Yashida Shingen was about to say something, but Eustass glanced back at him, releasing killing intent.

Yashida Shingen froze in place, his face pale, cold sweat pouring out, and his hands trembling.

Yukio was just about to take Eustass with her, lest he cause any more trouble, but Eustass ignored her completely and walked straight toward Mariko.

Legal Director Shinsuke stood beside Mariko, just about to whisper something to her, when he saw a tall figure approaching and waving a hand at him.

"Who are you? Don't you understand the rules? Stand aside!"

Shinsuke looked at Eustass with displeasure, clearly thinking this person didn't follow the news.

"Three seconds. Move aside immediately, or I'll show you my rules."

Eustass looked down at him, his face filled with disdain.

"Your rules? Don't be ridiculous, you guy! Baka yarou!"

Shinsuke said furiously.

Eustass sighed, grabbed Shinsuke's clothes with one hand, and lifted him up.

"Be more careful in your next life."

After Eustass finished speaking, he let go, and a Portalappeared beneath Shinsuke's feet. As Eustass released his grip, Shinsuke fell straight in.

Ten thousand meters above Tokyo.

A Portal suddenly appeared, and Shinsuke screamed in horror as he plummeted downward... At Ichiro Yashida's farewell ceremony.

Eustass stood beside Mariko, smiling as he looked at the crowd:

"Magic, isn't it fun? I sent Mr. Shinsuke to restart. His current game of Earth Online didn't start well; restarting might give him a better chance."

After Eustass spoke, everyone quickly nodded and agreed with forced smiles, each one becoming much more docile.

They certainly didn't want to restart!

"Why did you come here?"

Mariko asked, looking at Eustass with complicated emotions.

"To see your Grandpa off."

Eustass looked down and spoke to her. Mariko quickly lowered her head, avoiding his gaze.

On the rooftop.

Harada Kenichirō was squatting here, watching Eustassflirt with his childhood sweetheart, grinding his teeth, yet powerless to intervene.

Eustass looked up at the rooftop and smiled at Harada.

Harada Kenichirō felt the provocative look from Eustass—this guy was doing it on purpose; his target was Mariko.

Harada Kenichirō became even angrier!

He became especially furious when he saw Marikochatting with Eustass, showing no aversion to him at all, even blushing slightly.

Harada was practically grinding his teeth to dust!

As the saying goes, if you want to look pretty, wear mourning clothes.

But Eustass thought that sometimes the reverse wasn't a bad idea either.

Mariko was wearing a black kimono today, and Eustassthought it looked really good no matter how he looked at it.

Mariko realized the meaning behind his gaze, quickly lowered her head, and nervously clenched her hands.

Harada was enraged, but it was useless.

A monk came up beside Mariko, signaling that it was her turn to bid farewell to her Grandpa.

The monk glanced at Eustass and quickly reached out to stop him.

"Are monks in Japan all this casual?"

Eustass asked.

The monk and the crowd all looked toward Eustass.

Mariko quickly turned back and shook her head at him.

She had a good impression of Eustass, and she felt that perhaps she could seek his help in the future to gain a firm footing within the Yashida Family.

But Eustass's personality was truly headache-inducing; he always wanted to stir up trouble... "Forget about marrying and having children, do monks here also get tattoos? Isn't that too much?"

Eustass said coldly, "Or are you all fake monks!?"

After Eustass spoke, he grabbed the man's hand and pulled back his sleeve, revealing the tattoo on his arm.

"Step back!"

The person organizing the ceremony anxiously shouted from the side.

Mariko looked at the monk with confusion. Why was this monk dressed like a small-time gangster?

"I am very sorry, we will handle this matter later. Please, sir, step back and respect the funeral of Elder Yashida."

A young monk walked over, speaking quickly and looking anxiously at Eustass, hoping he would step away immediately.

"And you, Master of Ceremonies, why do you have a tattoo too? You don't happen to go clubbing, do you?"

As soon as Eustass finished speaking, the young man trembled with fright.

When he put his hands together in prayer, his body shook, and his loose sleeves slipped down.

Good heavens, those two large, fully tattooed arms were truly conspicuous!

The scene fell into silence.

The numerous guests were completely bewildered.

"Get lost!"

The fake Master of Ceremonies realized they were exposed, stopped pretending immediately, pulled a shotgun from his clothes, and aimed to shoot Eustass.

Eustass grabbed the shotgun and bent it.

All the Yakuza members present dropped their disguises and pulled out their guns.

The result was that everyone watching was dumbfounded.

Bending a gun with bare hands!?

Eustass grabbed Mariko and pulled her into his arms, wrapping Armament Haki around her to protect her.

The Yakuza members opened fire. Eustass caught the Katana thrown by Yukio from afar, drew the sharp blade, and began slashing wildly at the Yakuza present.

Bullets rattled off his body, ding-ding-dang, without causing the slightest injury.

Eustass ran quickly while holding Mariko, chasing and slashing the Yakuza members. The Yakuza members kept falling down like dominoes, constantly screaming "die."

In the distance, Logan took a shot and fell down in pain.

He looked around, confused, wondering why he was injured and why his body hadn't healed yet.

"Logan, hide!"

Eustass shouted at Logan. Logan nodded and quickly left.

The scene was chaotic, and the VIP guests scattered and fled.

The Yakuza kept shooting.

Harada kept shooting arrows from the rooftop.

Meanwhile, Yukio was holding a long staff assembled from a box and continuously striking the Yakuzamembers.

Eustass held Mariko close and walked toward the exit, cutting down a large number of Yakuza members along the way.

"Come back, Mariko, come back! Give Mariko back to me!"

Yashida Shingen roared angrily from a distance.

Eustass glanced at the useless man, ignored him completely, and left the scene immediately, holding Mariko.

Eustass took Mariko and left the scene, passing through many public areas and an arcade, with a few guys still chasing them closely.

Eustass grabbed a handful of arcade tokens from a nearby table, wrapped Armament Haki around them, and threw them out directly.

The large amount of tokens flew out rapidly, instantly piercing the bodies of those few Yakuza members.

Eustass took Mariko all the way to the train station, boarded the train, and sat in a corner seat.

"C-can you let go now..."

Mariko whispered.

"Where do you want to go?"

Eustass released the arm wrapped around her slender waist and looked down at her.

"I want to go back to my hometown."

Mariko quickly replied.

"You have quite the nerve."

Eustass said helplessly.

It didn't matter where they went, after all, he was only here to flirt with Mariko.

The harder the enemies chased, the more opportunities he would get.

"But I have no choice, I have nowhere else to go. Our family has a manor in the south."

Mariko said, looking out the window, feeling a little suspicious.

She wondered who exactly wanted her dead.

"This choice is actually unwise, but as long as you're happy."

Eustass said with a smile.

Mariko looked at him and nodded:

"Thank you..."

Soon after.

Within Eustass's Observation Haki perception, he detected several Yakuza members approaching this carriage.

Eustass smiled. Wasn't this his chance?

"They're there!"

A shout came, and the Yakuza members quickly pulled out daggers and rushed over.

Eustass stood up and kicked one Yakuza member directly away. The man's body shattered the window and flew outside.

The passengers gasped in unison, staring in shock at this man of immense strength.

Eustass grabbed Mariko and ran with her toward the next carriage.

Eustass could certainly sweep aside these enemies, but there was no need.

After all, if the enemies didn't chase, he wouldn't have more opportunities to spend time and "stick close" to Mariko.

"Hurry up!"

After saying that, Eustass took Mariko to the next carriage, turned around, and kicked the pursuing Yakuzaaway.

A Yakuza from the front carriage pursued them, waving a dagger to block their path.

Eustass grabbed the man's wrist, twisted it with a snap, and then pressed the dagger into the man's heart.

The train stopped.

Eustass took Mariko off the train.

"These Yakuza are relentless; we should find a safe place."

Eustass said after getting off the train.

"I don't understand. How do you know they are Yakuza?"

Mariko, wearing a kimono, followed behind him, looking at him confusedly.

"They're the same group as the ones at the temple. Zakuzas, Gokudo, Japanese Scum—they have so many nicknames."

Eustass joked with a smile, holding Mariko's hand as they walked forward.

"How did you know they were tracking me again?"

Mariko asked doubtfully.

"It's not hard for them to guess a few possibilities of where you might go and then send people to block the routes."

Eustass replied.

"I don't understand..."

Just as Mariko was about to speak, Eustass interrupted her.

"Shut up. You don't understand, you don't understand—what exactly do you understand? Just listen to me and stop talking nonsense."

After saying that, Eustass wrapped his arm around Mariko and walked away.

Mariko wanted to say something else, but after he glared at her, she dared not say anything and obediently allowed him to hold her as they walked.

"Mariko, listen up. If you meet people like this again, the best way for you to escape is to walk normally; that way, you won't easily expose yourself."

Eustass looked at a few Yakuza passing by, embraced Mariko, and pressed her against the wall.

Eustass immediately pecked her lips.

Ostensibly they were hiding, but in reality, the Yakuzawere creating opportunities for him.

Mariko initially pushed him away, but soon after, she stopped resisting.

She was like a docile kitten lying in the embrace of a lion.

Actively seeking favor.

Before long, the Yakuza left, having failed to spot Mariko.

Eustass smiled as he looked at Mariko. Mariko quickly avoided his gaze, having long forgotten about Harada.

The two walked for quite a while.

Eustass glanced at an extremely strange-looking building not far away, which looked like a pile of small boxes stacked together.

"That's interesting. This is the place for today."

Eustass led Mariko toward the hotel. Mariko looked up at the shop name and blushed.

"D-do you understand Japanese?"

Mariko quickly whispered.

Eustass looked down at her:

"No."

Mariko was stunned. "Yukio, Yukio said you seemed to know it?"

"She's talking nonsense."

After saying that, Eustass led Mariko into the hotel.

Mariko looked at the plaque before entering. This was a Love Hotel... "This is a Love Hotel... used for dating lovers..."

Mariko whispered.

"Perfect then."

Eustass nodded with a smile.

"I understand that just now was to hide from people, but this really won't do. I—I have a childhood sweetheart."

Mariko quickly said.

"Then dump him. Growing up together since childhood isn't love, little girl."

Eustass chuckled.

Mariko was speechless.

Harada must be crying himself unconscious in the restroom.

"Please give me a room, thank you."

Eustass said, reaching into his pocket for money.

Mariko looked at him in shock. He said he didn't understand Japanese!

When she asked what the shop name meant, Eustasspretended to be confused.

Yet, when booking the room, Eustass spoke Japanese with impressive fluency!

"Right now, we still have this one, this one, and this one..."

The female proprietor pointed to the machine opposite, indicating the special themed rooms listed there.

"Mission to Mars it is, thank you."

Eustass chuckled.

He paid, took the key, and walked inside with his arm around Mariko.

Arriving at the Mission to Mars room, Eustass looked at the slowly rotating bed and gave a thumbs-up:

"You guys certainly know how to spice things up here."

Mariko was speechless.

She had never been to a place like this before.

"Go take a shower."

Eustass said.

Mariko's face immediately flushed red.

He was that impatient.

"Isn't the smell of sweat bothersome after running around all day?"

Eustass said helplessly.

Mariko nodded and quickly went to take a shower.

At the same time, she glanced back at Eustass, her face burning hot.

"Why are you blushing like a teapot? I'm not that impatient."

Eustass complained speechlessly. His Observation Hakicould sense people searching for Mariko nearby, so this was not the right time for some fun activities.

They would be interrupted.

Soon after.

Mariko walked out wrapped in a bath towel, looking around for Eustass, but didn't find him.

She walked around to the other side of the bed before she saw Eustass.

Eustass was doing push-ups... Since he was on the other side of the bed, the bed naturally concealed his figure while he did push-ups.

"Go take a shower."

Mariko said.

"Later. I'll go after I finish my daily training."

After saying that, Eustass turned his head and looked at Mariko, scrutinizing her for a long time.

Mariko quickly stepped back shyly, adjusting her bath towel.

"A feast for the eyes."

Eustass finished with a smile and continued his push-ups.

Mariko sat on the rotating bed nearby, watching him do push-ups.

Soon after, under Mariko's shocked gaze, Eustass went into the bathroom.

Mariko was truly astonished. Eustass had done thousands of sets of push-ups, and he even claimed it was too few... Soon after.

Eustass walked out wearing a bathrobe, just as Marikofinished getting dressed.

"I-I'll wait in the hallway for a bit while you change..."

Mariko quickly said, getting up to leave.

"How tiring is it to rest in casual clothes?"

Eustass wrapped his arm around her, smiled, and walked toward the rotating bed.

Outside, rain pattered; inside, the lamplight was hazy.

Eustass held Mariko in his arms. The two of them lay on the small Mars Mission-themed bed, gazing out the window.

Mariko looked at Eustass, her heart a storm of conflicting feelings.

Eustass stared outside, simply waiting for those Yakuza to hurry up and arrive so he could wipe them out.

Before long, a Yakuza appeared at the window, pistol in hand, aiming into the room.

Eustass pulled a coin from under the bed, wrapped it in Armament Haki, and flung it hard.

Pfft!

The coin punched through the glass in an instant, bored through the Yakuza's body; the pistol clattered to the floor.

"Someone's there!"

Mariko's face paled with alarm.

"Annoying pests."

With that, Eustass stepped outside. Spotting two Yakuzasprinting toward the inn, he flicked two coins their way.

The Armament-coated coins pierced straight through them; the men grunted and collapsed. Crimson slowly spread across the wet street.

"Over here!"

In the distance, another Yakuza dashed through the rain toward the inn.

Mariko snatched the theme-room nameplate and hurled it like a dart; it lodged in the man's chest.

"Nice aim."

Eustass chuckled.

"I'm not completely useless."

Mariko replied.

"A little skill—just not much."

Eustass led her back inside, changed clothes right in front of her, then pulled her toward the exit.

He hustled Mariko out of the inn, threw raincoats over themselves, and slipped away.

They hadn't gone far before the sound of many Yakuzafootsteps filled the street.

Eustass tugged her into a shadowed alley.

A blonde woman strode past; opposite her, a man with a quiver on his back approached. He called to the woman:

"Still no sign of her?"

"None. What about you? You're not hiding her, are you?"

The blonde sneered.

"Hmph. I serve Master Yashida; I know my duty. I'll catch her!"

the quiver-bearing man growled.

"And if your Master orders you to kill her?"

the blonde asked sweetly.

"Without hesitation!"

he snapped coldly.

From the corner,

Mariko watched the man, tears nearly spilling at his words.

Eustass clamped a hand over her mouth.

He scooped her up and slipped away without a sound.

The blonde woman was Doctor Green, a Mutant.

The quiver-bearer was Harada Kenichirō—Mariko's childhood sweetheart, Ichiro Yashida's lapdog, and leader of the Black Ninja.

Next day.

On the bus.

Eustass sat beside Mariko, smiling at her.

Mariko had finally given up on Harada.

"Let's go."

she said.

"Mm."

Eustass nodded. They stepped off, and he glanced around. "We really had to come here?"

"What's wrong?"

Mariko asked, puzzled.

"This place… feels off."

Eustass said. "It's called Nagasaki…" "Relax, it's fine now."

Mariko smiled, knowing his thoughts.

Eustass chuckled and followed her toward the old family estate.

He eyed the surrounding vegetation—nature's power to recover was astonishing.

That night.

At Mariko's ancestral home.

Mariko cooked while Eustass idly toyed with a Geiger Counter. He picked up a photo; before he could study it, Mariko snatched and tore it apart.

It had been a picture of her and Harada.

Eustass pretended he hadn't noticed.

He didn't have to lift a finger; Mariko had broken up with Harada all by herself.

He realized that sometimes a couple falls apart not because of outsiders but because of their own flaws.

Cyclops Scott's momentary loss of control had played into Eustass's hands.

Harada's careless slip of the tongue had done the same.

"When's dinner?"

Eustask asked cheerfully.

"Almost ready."

Mariko answered hastily.

Eustass sat back. The area around her home was well-protected; radiation had virtually vanished—otherwise Mariko wouldn't have dared return.

No matter when, even at World's end, the top elite are always the best shielded.

"You trained as a kid?"

Eustass asked as Mariko brought the dishes.

"Yes—kendo."

she replied.

"Let me see."

he said. "Your calluses."

Mariko offered her hand, eyeing him curiously.

Eustass clasped it, clearly not interested in sword-calluses… "A-all right, let's eat…"

she pulled her hand back.

Eustass pulled her down beside him.

Mariko hastily poured him sake and sat at his side.

"That man—my ex—was Harada Kenichirō."

she said.

"You don't have to tell me."

Eustass replied.

He really didn't care who Harada was.

"I do. I need to be clear."

Mariko shook her head. "Harada and I once planned to marry, but Grandfather said we had to wait till we were both fifteen."

Eustass raised an eyebrow.

"Don't worry—I'm an adult, just turned."

she laughed.

Eustass exhaled in relief.

"Later the family changed their minds; they wanted me for a political marriage, so they kept me from seeing him. I'm glad—thank heavens I didn't stay with him."

Mariko smiled, grateful she'd seen Harada's true colors early.

"Then I owe them thanks."

Eustass grinned—at least she was still "first-hand."

"You're thinking something indecent."

Mariko blushed.

"No idea what you mean."

he chuckled, digging into the meal.

"You grew up in America?"

Mariko asked.

"Yeah."

Eustass nodded, setting his chopsticks across the bowl to taste the soup.

"I thought Westerners stuck chopsticks upright in rice."

Mariko stifled a giggle.

"Like incense at a grave? I lived there, but I'm not clueless."

Eustass sighed.

"Your Grandpa wants to hand the family leadership to you—how do you feel?"

he asked.

"I don't get why he'd choose me. I don't really want it; it comes with crushing responsibility."

Mariko lowered her head. "Why me and not my father? Leading the family was always Father's dream. Dad arranged that political marriage with Shinsuke so he could step into politics."

By saying what I did last night, I basically insulted him."

Eustass nodded, understanding the Japanese mindset.

Hierarchy here is rigid; in old families, father-son dynamics are extreme.

By defying her father, Mariko challenged Yashida Shingen's authority—of course he'd strike her.

Eustass ruffled her hair. He'd let events unfold rather than wipe these people out at once,

because he wanted Ichiro Yashida and Yashida Shingento expose their true, inhuman selves so Mariko could see what sort of monsters they were.

Only then would her heart naturally turn toward him.

"But Shinsuke should be dead by now, right?"

Mariko looked up at Eustass.

"Yes, falling from ten thousand meters, if he didn't freeze to death, he would have been smashed to death."

Eustass nodded. "Shinsuke isn't the point. Your father values more than just his status."

"What do you mean?"

Mariko looked at him in confusion.

"Your Grandpa insisted that you inherit the family business, so your father had no chance of getting it. Then how do you think he could control the family?"

Eustass looked at her.

Mariko was indeed the granddaughter her Grandpafavored; she understood the underlying interests as soon as she thought about it:

"Shinsuke. As long as Shinsuke and I become husband and wife, and as long as Shinsuke is his person, he can influence me through Shinsuke."

"So, think again. If your location could be found so easily, did your father truly have no involvement? Your family has the strongest influence in Neon, and many people in the Neon Government were cultivated by your family, right?"

After Eustass finished speaking, Mariko looked at him with an expression of disbelief.

"Don't be too naive."

Eustass said, put down his cutlery, and got up to walk towards the bedroom.

Mariko struggled to sit still. She suddenly felt so helpless; besides Eustass, she didn't know who else she could trust.

Even her father had been using her all along.

Mariko sighed. She knew what she had to do.

She really wasn't good at managing the family, nor was she good at dealing with these ruthless people.

But someone was.

In the middle of the night.

Mariko, dressed in a kimono, came to Eustass's door and gently knocked.

Eustass came out, glanced at her, and pulled her inside.

Later.

Over an hour later.

"I'm yours now, and I'm entrusting the family to you from now on…"

Mariko said, resting her head on Eustass's arm.

"Don't worry, with me here, no one can harm you."

Eustass rubbed her head.

Mariko moved closer.

Mariko looked at Eustass and pecked him.

She understood in her heart that from now on, there would be no Yashida Group and no Yashida Family.

Her descendants would bear the surname Mola.

Eustass was so strong, he certainly wouldn't marry into her family.

"Continue."

Eustass said, startling Mariko, who quickly shook her head.

"Tom-tomorrow, I'm really tired."

She quickly shook her head, thinking to herself how terrifying Eustass's stamina was.

"You need to supplement your nutrition; you're too thin."

Eustass said, then hugged her, pulled the covers over them, and rested… The next day.

Eustass woke up early, had breakfast, and went out with Mariko for a while, but it started raining halfway.

Eustass carried Mariko and ran all the way back. Marikowas already used to his superhuman stamina.

Holding her, Eustass ran even faster than an athlete.

Back home, Eustass looked at Mariko.

Her clothes were soaked with rain.

Eustass closed the door and embraced her.

He pecked her… Later.

Over an hour later.

Eustass and Mariko had been intimate for a long time.

Only then did he prepare to shower and clean up.

After cleaning up, they ate and rested. The night passed without incident.

The next day.

Early in the morning, Eustass woke up and handed a pair of sunglasses to Mariko.

"What is this?"

Mariko looked at him in confusion.

"Something very important. You must carry it with you at all times."

Eustass said.

"Okay, I won't lose it."

Mariko smiled and took the sunglasses in her hand.

"I'm going to catch up on some sleep. Go make some food."

Eustass said, then lay back down to continue sleeping.

Mariko leaned down and pecked him, then quietly left the room to make food.

Eustass looked at the ceiling and sighed.

He sensed the presence of the Yakuza nearby.

It seemed Mariko's father's people had found her.

It was time for Mariko to see how cold-blooded and ruthless her family truly was.

First, Yashida Shingen dared to harm his own daughter for property, and then Ichiro Yashida continuously used Mariko for immortality, playing with her like a puppet.

If Eustass didn't let Mariko witness her family's cold-bloodedness, Mariko would remain as naive as before.

Soon after.

As Mariko stepped out of the house, she was grabbed by several people and dragged towards a distant car.

Mariko was terrified and kept shouting Eustass's name.

"Miss Mariko, please calm down. Eustass is resting. I will be responsible for protecting you from now on."

A mechanical female voice came from the frame of the sunglasses.

Mariko's expression was surprised.

"I am your wisdom system. I will activate contingency plans to protect you when necessary. Please calm down and cooperate. At least you should understand who they are and what they want."

The wisdom system replied.

Mariko was silent for a moment, then blinked.

The wisdom system of the nano sunglasses fell silent again.

Mariko sat in the car, feeling much better. Now she understood why Eustass said these sunglasses were important.

It turned out he had considered her safety issues from the very beginning.

However, with the Yakuza around Mariko, she didn't dare to reply to the wisdom system's words, in order to find out who these people's Master was.

"If you need help, blink once. If you are in danger and want to take backup measures to protect yourself or counterattack, blink twice. If you wish to give up on discovering the enemy's identity, blink three times."

The wisdom system said.

Mariko understood.

That night, Mariko was taken back to her home in Tokyo.

Upon seeing her father Shingen, he said many things, but in short, it was two words: envy.

Shingen envied his daughter for being able to inherit the family business and for inheriting Ichiro's talent. He drew his sword, staring at his daughter with ill intent.

Mariko looked at her father with anger. At first, she had some doubts when Eustass warned her, but now she no longer had any doubt whatsoever.

Her father was inhumane; for the family fortune, he intended to kill his own daughter.

"How did you convince my father to let you control the largest enterprise in Asia? I don't think you're worthy."

Shingen said, holding his katana horizontally in front of his daughter.

"You're insane."

Mariko looked at her father with deep disappointment.

"No, I'm not insane. Only I can control the Yashida Group. And as for you, I'm sorry, but in the face of vast family wealth, kinship means nothing to me."

Shingen sneered and slashed his katana at his daughter.

Mariko felt nervous and quickly retreated to protect herself.

The next instant, an arrow pierced through the window, forcing Shingen back.

The door behind Mariko opened, and a large number of ninjas rushed in, drawing their bows and aiming at Shingen. Someone pulled Mariko behind them for cover.

Shingen turned and fled, but as soon as he opened the door on the other side, a large number of Black Ninjas shot arrows directly at him.

Shingen rolled to dodge, but Dr. Green, who walked in from the other side, kicked him down. Green grabbed a pen from the table and applied poison.

The pen was inserted into Shingen's neck.

Soon after.

Eustass, wearing his nano armor, landed in the mansion. The nano armor retracted into the nano core. Eustassglanced at his phone; the screen showed surveillance from the sunglasses Mariko was wearing.

Mariko was taken by the Black Samurai to where Ichiro Yashida was. In fact, Ichiro Yashida had only been faking his death all along.

After confirming Mariko was safe, Eustass looked around.

Just then, Wolverine and Yukio walked in.

"Logan, how about I do you a favor, and you do me one?"

Eustass smiled.

"Tell me."

Logan nodded.

"Your heart is wrapped in inhibitor bugs from Dr. Green, which is why you temporarily lost your healing ability. I'll help you get rid of the inhibitor bugs, and you take care of this guy. He just tried to kill his own daughter. But now Mariko is my woman, and even if Shingen is bad, he's still Mariko's father. I'll leave this matter to you."

Eustass said, then slapped the awakening Yashida Shingen unconscious. He needed Logan to kill Shingen.

"This… alright."

Logan nodded.

Eustass snapped his fingers, and a large number of nanobugs flew out from the nano core, burrowed into Logan's body, and surged towards the inhibitor bugs near Logan's heart.

The nanobugs enveloped the inhibitor bugs, directly devouring them without damaging Logan's heart.

Soon after, the nanobugs left Logan's body.

Yukio, standing nearby, broke out in a cold sweat. It was too terrifying.

Chapter 155 – Mutant End: The Mutant Forefather Apocalypse Meets His Doom! (Subscribe Please!)

Mariko was brought into a building and met Doctor Green—the Mutant codenamed Viper.

"I granted his dying wish and let him pass in peace; now it's your turn."

As he spoke, Green painted his fingernails with poison and stabbed toward Mariko's neck.

In the next instant—

the sunglasses Mariko wore morphed; nano-material expanders unfolded into a nano-suit that wrapped her entire body.

Mariko seized Green's wrist and slammed her other fist into him.

"Mariko, stop!"

At that moment a tall silver Armor strode in; Yashida Shingen, hidden inside the suit, roared.

"Grandpa?"

Mariko's face filled with shock.

"Where's that Eustass?"

Shingen demanded. "Bring him here—he has something vital to me."

"Dream on!"

Mariko's expression hardened as she stepped back.

"Mariko, you've grown disobedient!"

Shingen, furious, drew a blade.

"Y-you're going to kill me?"

Mariko stared at her grandfather in disbelief; he was as inhuman as her father.

"Hmph—immortality and power outweigh blood; blame your own ignorance!"

With that, Shingen heated his Adamantium katana and slashed at Mariko.

"Boom!"

A deafening crash tore a hole through the wall.

Eustass arrived in nano armor, Wolverine dangling from one hand as he set him aside.

Eustass grabbed the Adamantium blade with one hand, Armament Haki coiling around the other, and snapped the sword in two.

Shingen gaped at the broken blade, stunned into silence.

He couldn't believe anyone could break Adamantium.

"You okay?"

Eustass glanced at Mariko.

"I'm fine."

Mariko shook her head, then looked at Shingen. "Grandfather, the Yashida Family ends today."

"Insolent brat!"

Shingen bellowed, charged, and drew another Adamantium blade, slashing at them.

Eustass flicked the broken shard into the air, wrapped it in Armament Haki, and punted it forward.

"Screeech!"

The shard tore through Shingen's Adamantium Armorand pierced his skull—killing him instantly.

One-shot kill.

[host defeated Yashida Shingen!]

[Reward: dynamite rock!]

dynamite rock—a miraculous substance from the Pirate World—explodes on contact with air; one chunk can obliterate an island.

Its yield may trail a nuke, but it's radiation-free and clean.

Seeing this, Viper Green turned to flee.

Threads shot from Eustass's hand, skewering the Viperthrough.

[host defeated Viper Green!]

[Reward: dynamite rock!]

Eustass chuckled—today must be dynamite rockclearance day.

"Mariko, the Family Head is dead—henceforth you are head of the Yashida Family."

Reading the room, Harada Kenichirō dropped to his knees.

He sneaked a glance, hoping to reconcile with Mariko.

"Die."

Mariko coldly raised her hand; the nano-suit fired a palm-blast that punched through Harada… Days later.

Eustass left Japan with Mariko; the Yashida clan was quietly re-staffed, and the Adamantium Ichiro Yashidastockpiled was shipped off to forge Armor for Mutants.

Simultaneously, Yashida funds kept flowing to Eustass to expand the Nano Legion.

Late 2013.

America.

Hordes of Sentinels took to New York's skies, mass-exterminating mutants—and accidentally killing many ordinary humans carrying the X-gene.

At that moment Eustass, Professor X, Magneto and their allies declared online that they had seized most West-Coast cities and would shelter all fleeing Mutants and humans.

America launched nukes; Eustass Portaled every warhead into orbit and blew up their satellites.

He also leaked General William Stryker's files on using Mutants to assassinate the U.S. President.

When the net was censored, he Portal-dropped leaflets worldwide.

Thus began the clash between Eustass and America.

War was declared.

Above, Sentinels streaked toward the West Coast; below, swarms of nano-unmanned Armors rose to meet them.

To the foe's dismay, a single special round shut every Sentinel down, letting the nano armors butcher them.

Those bullets carried serum distilled from the Mutant-gene-suppressing child.

Sentinels were built from Mystique's DNA; once exposed to the suppressant, they reverted to harmless humans.

The Sentinels were countered.

Eustass's New Human Empire crushed them utterly; exposed to Stryker's crimes, Mutants and humans alike flocked to the West Coast and joined the Empire.

Three years flashed by.

North America.

The New Human Empire.

The old government was gone; in its place stood Eustass's empire where Mutants and humans lived as equals.

The war had been easy—every missile, every nuke, met Eustass's Portal and was nullified; it was dimensional bullying.

In two years he annihilated the opposition.

The behind-the-scenes tycoon families were all "de-greased."

Mariko's family industries began relocating to Los Angeles.

That same year Jean Grey, Mary and Mariko each gave birth.

Eustass planned to stay two more years before leaving this World.

Cairo, Egypt.

Inside a pyramid.

Eustass entered, ordered the rubble cleared, then jumped to the lowest chamber.

There lay a strange-faced man.

Sunlight streamed in; golden runes flashed across the stones, reaching the man.

In the next instant the Mutant forefather Apocalypsejolted awake, gasping for air.

"Pfft!"

Eustass jabbed a syringe and injected the miracle drug straight into Apocalypse.

En Sabah Nur recoiled in horror, but it was too late.

He stared at his hands—his ashen skin returning to normal, the powers amassed through millennia of transfers fading away.

"You—what have you done, assassin!?"

Apocalypse roared.

"Times change, society progresses, En Sabah Nur. Here's a cure for that ugly mug of yours—happy?"

Eustass tossed the syringe aside with a grin.

Apocalypse was livid—happy his foot!

He'd meant to conquer Earth, only to be reduced to a mere human by some future brat!

Eustass smiled at Apocalypse's fury.

He gripped the forefather's neck—crack.

Apocalypse was sent to his doom.

"Eustass, Eustass!"

Several days later.

Los Angeles.

Eustass was shuttling back and forth to look after his girlfriend who had just given birth when, right then, Chavez's shout came; Eustass hurried out of the house.

Stepping outside, he saw the pale five-pointed portal beside Chavez and was overjoyed.

He could finally go home!

"What's going on?"

"I was walking when a car suddenly rushed past; it scared me so much the portal popped open."

Chavez quickly explained.

The portal Eustass opened with the Space Stone only worked within the Universe; it couldn't jump between Worlds.

Chavez's portal belonged to the Marvel multiverse, randomly teleporting within it and currently uncontrollable.

But the portal granted by the system could send Eustassto other Worlds.

Eustass glanced back at Phoenix and the others; though he could return, the timing felt utterly wrong.

"Hurry, look behind you!"

Chavez pointed at the view beyond the portal: a building labeled "Mora Group"—his World. "Go, now!"

"Though it's hard to part, if you want to go, go. Maybe we'll meet again."

Jean stroked her swollen belly and said.

"Just don't forget me. I still want our child to see his father."

Rogue Mary smiled.

"I'll come back. Take these coordinates."

Eustass quickly handed Rogue Mary the data for his World's coordinates.

The portal was about to close; Eustass dashed through with Chavez… Marvel-199999 Universe.

New York, Queens.

Mora Group Tower.

Eustass and Chavez appeared out of thin air. He looked around, then back at the portal that had already shut.

He felt a pang of reluctance.

He'd left offspring in the Mutant Universe and built an empire for his girlfriend, yet their time together had been too short.

Lost in thought, he heard footsteps; Helen Cho, spotting his return, ran over and hugged him.

"Sorry I'm late."

Eustass gently ruffled Helen Cho's hair.

"It's fine. Our child has grown; you need to spend more time with him."

Helen Cho smiled softly.

"All right."

Eustass chuckled and nodded… Three months later.

In the Eustass Family garden.

Eustass lay on a recliner, basking in the Sun, rubbing little Nash Mora's head while telling him stories.

Mid-tale, the boy fell asleep.

Eustass sighed; it was time to set off for the Pirate World.

'System, how do the time-flow rates between the Pirate World and Marvel compare?'

Eustass asked inwardly.

"[After departure, time will pause!]"

Eustass was elated—great, the system was reliable!

He carried his son inside, tucked him into bed, then sat beside him and silently ordered:

"Cross to the Pirate World!"

"[About to cross to the Pirate World. host will sleep for a period. Confirm?]"

"Confirm!"

Eustass nodded.

A portal suddenly opened beneath his feet and swallowed him.

Eustass:???

…Consciousness plunged into darkness; he sank into sleep.

Before losing awareness, he faintly felt himself drifting downward as countless abyssal eyes gazed at him… Pirate World.

sea circle calendar Year 1457.

Elbaf.

Edge of the island.

Snow drifted gently; the wind howled; black mist billowed overhead. The giants' village burned. After twelve days of fasting for the Winter Solstice Festival, Charlotte Linlin's Food-Craving Sickness erupted. The young Linlin ran through the village, dazed, knocking giants flying and houses collapsing as flames rose.

She kept shouting "samra"; samra was an Elbaf delicacy. Before the fast, it had been the tastiest food she'd eaten, and twelve hungry days had triggered her craving.

"He still went and did this. Linlin, you have no right to thank the Sun! Even a child can be forgiven only so much!"

The 21.5-meter giant Yoruru strode forward, greatsword in hand, while Nun Carmel cried out behind him. Ahead, the entranced Linlin clenched her fists, half her face in shadow, muttering "samra, samra…" "Carmel, sorry—this thing is a demon in child's clothing!"

With that, Yoruru swung his blade at Linlin. In the flash of steel, she lifted her head, eyes glowing red, and reached for the sword.

High above, a figure plummeted.

It fell like a meteor, slamming into Yoruru's blade with a metallic shriek, snapping the sword in two.

Linlin's outstretched hand was knocked aside and she tumbled to the ground.

Boom—!

A thunderous crash shook Elbaf; a crater split the village ground, dust everywhere.

A hand shot from the pit and gripped the earth.

"Whew…"

Eustass climbed out, sat down, and caught his breath.

The portal was nasty—randomly opening mid-air.

He'd still been asleep and simply dropped. Luckily his defense was absurd; otherwise he'd have splattered.

A small fist suddenly swung at him; Eustass swatted it aside, grabbed the arm, and hurled the attacker away.

"samra—give me samra!"

Linlin roared, eyes glowing, before she was flung and crashed in the distance.

When the dust settled, the Elbaf giants kept wary eyes on both Linlin and the stranger who'd fallen from the sky.

"This is…"

Eustass started to ask where he was, but one look at the giants told him everything.

The land of giants—Elbaf.

Spotting the still-living Nun Carmel in the distance, he roughly placed the timeline: Linlin's childhood, the era before the legendary pirate who would shake the seas…

Rocks D. Xebec!

"W-who are you!?"

Elder Yoruru stammered, staring at his broken blade and then at Eustass's forehead—unconsciously shattering a greatsword on impact? What monstrous defense!

'Before asking someone's name, you should at least introduce yourself.'

Eustass drawled, stifling a yawn.

Yawning after sleep was common, and judging by what he'd seen when he stepped through the portal, he suspected slumber was a defense mechanism; during transport he must have faced terrifying foes in the space between Worlds.

'I am Waterfall-Beard Yoruru, former Captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates and Elder of the giant kingdom Elbaf!'

Yoruru announced himself.

Beside him, another towering giant looked down at Eustass.

'I am Mountain-Beard Yaruru, former Captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates and Elder of the giant kingdom Elbaf!'

'I see.'

Eustass nodded; he barely recalled these background characters. 'I'm Eustass Mola, here by accident.'

'Give me samura!'

From afar, Linlin came roaring, hurling a punch straight at him.

'Watch out!'

Yaruru cried; Linlin was a terrifying child born with monstrous strength and near-impenetrable skin—already at her childhood peak.

Even Elbaf's giants were powerless against her.

As a child she could wipe out Elbaf single-handedly.

'So hungry your brain's stopped working?'

Seeing young BIG MOM charge, Eustass raised his left hand toward her.

Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki coiled round his fingers; he flicked her forehead—hard.

'Whoosh!'

Linlin shot away, smashed through a house, and flew into the forest.

'Incredible!'

Both Elders Yaruru and Yoruru gasped, staring in shock.

'Amazing!'

Young Hajrudin gazed in awe, admiration glowing in his eyes.

'Has this kid got some mental illness? Acting like a little maniac.'

Eustass sighed.

He'd always suspected BIG MOM was unstable; now he was sure.

'I don't know; nothing like this has happened before.'

Carmel shook her head hastily. 'Are you a Marine, perhaps?'

Hearing her, Eustass glanced at the hideous woman in a nun's robe.

He vaguely recalled she'd planned to sell Linlin.

A slaver.

'No.'

Eustass shook his head.

'Then where are you from?'

Sister Carmel asked curiously.

'What's that to you?'

Eustass shot her a cold look; he despised traffickers.

'Ah—sorry, I spoke out of turn.'

Carmel apologized at once, eyeing him warily.

She intended to sell Linlin to the World Government for a fat price.

Any wild card terrified her, yet Eustass was so strong he'd flicked Linlin away; she dared not cross him.

She simply lacked the power.

In the future BIG MOM's own might would matter far more than her Devil Fruit, which was only icing on the cake.

With zero physical skills, the nun dared not provoke someone like Eustass.

'Thud-thud-thud!'

The ground shook as Linlin sprinted back, eyes glowing red, muttering'samura, samura,' and punched at him again.

'Feisty little brat!'

Eustass rose and kicked her squarely.

'Stop—she's only a child!'

Seeing Linlin beaten, Sister Carmel shrieked as if her purse were stolen.

Ignoring her, Eustass planted his foot on Linlin's forehead and sent her flying.

'Boom!'

Linlin's body crashed into a hillside.

Using Soru, Eustass stomped the ground dozens of times and vanished, reappearing on the hill in an instant.

Linlin tore free of the earth; the next moment he dropped an axe-kick onto her head.

Both Haki types wrapped his leg; the blow knocked her out cold, blood trickling from her skull.

With a thud, she collapsed.

[host has defeated child BIG MOM—Charlotte Linlin!]

[Reward: Lifespan +10!]

Glancing at her, Eustass turned and strode toward Elbaf.

Yoruru and Yaruru led the giants out of the village; young Hajrudin ran with the girl-giant Gerd behind the Lambs House kids and Sister Carmel.

'Terrifying!'

Hajrudin gasped.

'Such a powerful human—he'll shake the seas before long!'

Yaruru exclaimed.

'Ahhh—you killed Linlin, you murderer! Murderer!'

Seeing Linlin lying bloody, the nun thought her payday gone and lost all reason.

'Slap-slap!'

Using Soru, Eustass flashed over and slapped her twice.

'Don't pin false crimes on me, you vile old hag.'

Eustass said coldly.

Yaruru and Yoruru hurried forward; Yoruru spoke.

'Please forgive her; the sister was frantic for the child's safety. Whatever you desire, Elbaf will grant to earn your pardon.'

Might made right; the Elders knew the law of the jungle.

Linlin could crush the giants, yet Eustass toyed with her.

To them he must be among the World's strongest, so they humbled themselves to save Carmel, who had once rescued their kin.

'What happens next is anyone's guess,'

Eustass replied, then reached toward Yoruru.

'I want money—enough to live—a ship, plus a sea chart, Log Pose, and navigation books for this World.'

'It will be done at once.'

Yoruru nodded eagerly.

'The brat's a menace; deal with her as you see fit.'

With that, Eustass headed for the village.

Yaruru followed to arrange lodging.

Several days later.

Charlotte Linlin and the Lambs House children left with Sister Carmel; after Linlin's food-craving rampage, the giant village barred her forever.

Yet the nun still haggled with the World Government for a handsome price.

So she relocated the children off the island.

Seated at the village edge, Eustass studied navigation books while watching the Lambs House depart.
