Chapter 41 – 41. Meow-Meow Hammer: Hela's De-Stress Tool! (Part 2)
Not long after.
Inside an interrogation room.
Thor sat on a metal chair, lashed tight with coils of steel rope.
Thor woke with a start and stared at Eustass across from him.
"You're powerful."
Thor spoke first.
"You're not bad yourself."
Eustass flipped through a magazine, eyeing the model on the page.
"Let me go. Once I hold that hammer I'll show you what an Asgardian warrior can do!"
Thor strained; stripped of his godly might, he couldn't even snap the ropes.
"If anyone could get strong just by picking up a hammer, what would be the point of striving?"
Eustass shook his head. "The point isn't the hammer."
He rose, tossed the magazine aside, and walked out.
"NO—let me out! Aaargh!"
Thor thrashed, golden hair flying.
Eustass had already made it clear.
But Thor, at this moment, still couldn't grasp his meaning.
Eustass left the room to find Helen Cho.
"Warrior of Midgard, I challenge you again!"
Thor's roar echoed from inside.
"I'll be waiting."
Outside.
Eustass heard the declaration and nodded.
Coulson walked over, studying Eustass in silence.
If not for Eustass's crystal-clear file, he'd swear the man was a professionally trained Agent.
"Honestly, I'm tempted to tell Fury to recruit you into S.H.I.E.L.D."
Coulson joked.
"Then you'd better be ready to pay dearly."
Eustass grinned.
He demanded top dollar—and plenty of trouble—for every reward.
He glanced at the torn plastic sheeting. "The guy's a beast; without you we'd just be sending men to get thrashed."
"Yeah."
Eustass nodded.
A figure passed; Eustass's Observation Haki sensed him, but Coulson's normal senses couldn't.
A dashing man in a suit and trench coat strode by.
Coulson opened the interrogation door; invisible Lokislipped in behind him.
Not long after.
Eustass and Helen Cho stood in the middle of the temporary Base.
Mjolnir lay in the open air; raindrops pattered onto muddy ground.
Eustass glanced at the hammer. Helen smiled and said,
"Maybe you can lift it."
"Impossible."
Eustass shook his head.
mjolnir can only be raised by someone just, worthy, and approved by the hammer itself.
Eustass didn't count himself as especially just or worthy—odds were slim.
Or follow Hela's example: be stronger than the hammer and simply take it.
"Come on, maybe you'll surprise yourself."
Helen hugged his arm and coaxed.
"All right—maybe I'll turn into Thor."
He joked, not taking it seriously.
He stepped up, gripped the handle with both hands, planted his feet, and heaved.
The ground beneath him dented; mjolnir never budged.
Everyone watching held their breath, hoping.
Coulson, rushing over, stared intently.
Veins bulged on Eustass's flushed face, muscles straining.
mjolnir stayed put.
Eustass let go and stepped back.
"Wow, you left footprints in the ground~!"
Helen cheered, praising her man any way she could.
'Hmph, a mortal thinking he can lift Mjolnir—overestimating himself!'
Loki sneered, stepping forward to grasp the hammer.
He pulled—and got nowhere.
Again and again he tried, even bracing with his feet, looking more like a monkey spinning around a tree than the explosive force Eustass had shown.
Loki shot Eustass a sour glare as he passed.
The next instant.
A leg swept out—Eustax kicked straight for Loki's groin.
Loki dodged, but Eustass was faster; the kick landed squarely.
"Oof—!"
The sickening crunch rang out; Loki yelped and collapsed, fully visible.
"Grab him!"
Coulson shouted.
Soldiers rushed and dog-piled Loki.
The screaming, leg-clutching Loki flickered and vanished; the soldiers landed in a heap on each other and the ground.
In the corridor of the temporary Base, an invisible Lokilimped away, biting back pain as he ducked behind a curtain.
At the center of the Base Coulson hurried over, dispersing the soldiers.
The tangled soldiers climbed off one another, only to realize they'd caught nothing.
"How did you know someone was there?"
Coulson eyed Eustass curiously, hungry for answers.
"Hard?"
Eustass asked, glancing at the footprints.
Coulson studied the muddy ground and nodded.
"Besides footprints—sound."
Eustass said, then left with Helen.
[host defeated Loki!]
[Reward: Advanced Armament Haki – External Release!]
Not long after, Dr. Selvig arrived to take Thor away, feeding Coulson a fake identity.
Selvig insisted Thor was a brilliant physicist driven mad because S.H.I.E.L.D. had seized his research.
"But his combat skills are a bit too polished."
Coulson remarked.
"Overloaded with hormones—total Gym Rat!"
Selvig shrugged.
"We've got our own Gym Rat here; I understand."
Coulson quipped, eyeing Eustass.
Inside.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents uncovered Thor's forged data—fake.
Coulson was surprised; they could dig up almost anything on this Planet—unless it was alien.
"It says here he's a Doctor?"
Coulson asked.
"Yes, well, he switched fields and became a physicist."
Selvig rattled on, "Great guy, just a little headstrong sometimes."
Coulson saw through it, nodded, and let them take Thor.
Chapter 42. 42. The Destroyer: Justice Descends! (Please collect!)
Dr. Selvig came to the interrogation room where Thorwas being held and said with a smile:
"Oh, my poor Donny, you're here. You'll be fine. I'm taking you home."
Thor was momentarily stunned, and Dr. Selvig winked at him.
Thor quickly played along and followed the other party out.
"Want to try that hammer?"
Eustass stood not far away and smiled, "Maybe if you lift that hammer, you'll have the ability to defeat me."
"Good!"
Thor nodded vigorously. "Midgardian, I'll show you what a true powerhouse looks like!"
"I'll wait."
Eustass nodded.
Not long after.
Eustass brought Thor before mjolnir.
Thor looked at the small crater on the ground in confusion.
Eustass tilted his head and looked into the distance, awkwardly whistling.
Thor laughed heartily:
"This is mjolnir! Of course you couldn't pull it out. Watch me!"
Then, Thor grabbed the handle with both hands, pushed off the ground with his feet, but Mjolnir didn't budge.
Not far away.
Dr. Selvig stood next to Agent Coulson awkwardly and said:
"I'm sorry, he has a few screws loose. You understand, for a drunkard like him, drinking too much always leaves his mind muddled, fantasizing about all sorts of unrealistic things."
Coulson nodded awkwardly.
For a long time, Thor failed to pull out mjolnir.
He roared toward the sky in frustration, then his spirit sank to the bottom, and he knelt in despair in the mud.
Dr. Selvig quickly went to help Thor up and led him away.
Coulson watched Dr. Selvig leave and picked up his walkie-talkie:
"Track them!"
Eustass looked at Coulson; Coulson was playing the long game.
After all, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s technology couldn't analyze anything about that hammer.
S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't utilize the hammer either.
Since they had no options, S.H.I.E.L.D. might as well let Thor go and observe him to see what discoveries he might make.
The next day.
Morning.
Old Bridge Town.
Eustass and Helen Cho were sitting in a restaurant having breakfast.
Suddenly, within Eustass's Observation Haki perception.
A massive surge of energy suddenly appeared 15 miles northwest of the small town.
"What's wrong?"
Helen Cho noticed Eustass looking seriously toward a certain direction outside the window and quickly reached out to grab his hand.
"Nothing. Just remember to keep the box with you at all times."
Eustass turned his head after speaking.
After the huge energy disappeared, his Observation Hakisensed four strong presences appearing 15 miles to the northwest.
It seemed it wasn't the Destroyer from Asgard.
"Wife, here's the thing: I was wondering if you could try learning some knowledge about materials science, for example, implementing Nanotechnology?"
Eustass said, looking at Helen Cho.
"Nanotechnology, that's a good idea. I think the future definitely belongs to Nanotechnology."
Helen Cho nodded, deeply agreeing.
Outside, on the rooftop.
Two Agents stood there holding coffee; they had been tasked with monitoring Thor since yesterday.
Seeing four people wearing armor and carrying cold weapons walk into the small town, the two Agents were stunned for a moment, suspecting they were people returning from a costume party.
"Headquarters, we've found Xina, Jack Chen, Robin Hood... uh, and a dwarf."
Base.
Coulson was bewildered listening to his subordinate's report. What in the world?
In Old Bridge Town, a spiral cloud suddenly gathered high above in the distance.
The residents of the entire town were attracted by this spectacle.
A large number of people ran toward that area.
The team led by Coulson arrived and looked at the mark on the ground in confusion.
A car stopped nearby.
Eustass quickly got out of the car, ran over, and shouted while holding an instrument:
"Coulson, another massive energy signature has appeared overhead! I suggest you evacuate the residents immediately, this is not a good sign!"
"Evacuate the residents immediately!"
Coulson nodded and quickly signaled his subordinates to go into the town and disperse the crowds.
At the same time, Coulson looked at Eustass with relief.
Fury had guessed that Eustass had a connection or means of contact with Joker.
But today, he could sense that Eustass was more benevolent.
'Eustass is not Joker, nor could he be a manipulator like Joker.'
Coulson was certain in his heart that even if Eustassknew Joker, they were not the same kind of people.
A tornado quickly spun downward, and a tall figure instantly plummeted through the vortex.
"Dong—!"
The sound was dull and massive, audible to everyone in the small town.
Smoke and dust scattered everywhere, and a tall steel figure stood before the Agents.
"Is that Iron Man?"
Agent Sitwell asked.
"Impossible."
Coulson shook his head. He held a loudspeaker, preparing to step forward and attempt communication.
"Energy reaction detected, danger!"
Helen Cho shouted, holding a detection device.
"F*ck!"
Coulson exclaimed and quickly retreated.
Eustass and Helen Cho quickly took the boxes from the car, pressed them, and the boxes transformed, covering their bodies as the battle suits enveloped them completely.
The Taxi Soldiers and Agents present immediately raised their guns and began shooting.
The next instant.
The Destroyer's two faceplates retracted, its body leaned back, and a large amount of high-heat energy gathered from its torso toward its head, with orange light emanating from the gap in its abdomen.
A scorching light beam shot out from the Destroyer's faceplate aperture, violently blasting a car, forcing the Agents to dive for cover.
"Boom!"
A car was instantly destroyed, turning into a rolling fireball, with heat waves rushing toward them.
The Destroyer's faceplate aperture fired another energy beam, which swept past. Eustass's SUV, stuck between several cars, exploded and tumbled along with them.
Eustass quickly flew over, his battle suit wrapped in Armament Haki, and punched the Destroyer.
"Clang!"
A metallic collision sound rang out, and the Destroyerwas smashed backward, plowing a long trench in the ground.
Coulson and the others watched the scene in astonishment.
"Retreat!"
Eustass shouted.
"Quick, retreat! Go evacuate the townspeople! This battle isn't for us!"
Coulson shouted. Soldiers and Agents followed him, running toward the small town.
The Destroyer stood up, bright light emanating from its faceplate aperture, and a terrifying energy beam blasted forward.
Helen Cho, wearing the mark v, concentrated energy in her chest and blasted a beam of energy directly at the Destroyer.
The white and orange energy beams collided. The white light grew shorter and shorter as the orange beam continuously pressed forward.
The Destroyer was stronger than the mark v and had more energy.
Eustass manipulated his battle suit to fly quickly toward the Destroyer, Armament Haki wrapped around his fist, and punched the Destroyer.
"Clang!"
The Destroyer was struck flying again, its light beam interrupted.
After rolling a long distance, the Destroyer finally stood up.
"Wife, go evacuate the crowd! Leave the rest to me!"
Eustass shouted.
He had Armament Haki; he wasn't afraid of the Destroyerat all.
But Helen Cho only had the mark v, which had low defensive power, so she was naturally no match for the Destroyer.
Chapter 43. From Earth to Asgard! (Part 1) Please Favorite!
You got it!
Helen Cho piloted the mark v away from the scene and streaked toward the town.
In the distance,
the Destroyer's faceplate vents blasted an energy beam; Eustass sensed it with Observation Haki and dodged in the nick of time.
The beam sliced past where Eustass had stood, smashed straight into a house on the edge of town.
Boom!
The house was punched clean through; a parked car beside it exploded.
Hey, you can't take that thing on alone!
shouted an Asgardian warrior who'd come looking for Thor.
Eustass glanced back.
Four Asgardians in light armor, cold weapons in hand, strode toward the Destroyer.
They were Volstagg, Hogun, Fandral, and Sif.
The female warrior Sif split off, vaulted onto a rooftop to ambush.
Behind Eustass, the Destroyer fired again, blowing up the town's edge gas station.
BOOM—!
A colossal fireball swallowed the station and nearby buildings; even the iron man armor was lost in the inferno.
No—!
Thor roared from afar.
He hadn't even beaten Eustass yet, and the guy had already been wiped out carelessly.
Next instant,
from the flames,
the Destroyer was hurled backward, slammed into a building.
Thud!
A steel figure strode out of the blaze; the Destroyer rose, beam not yet fired, as Eustass—armor streaking in—wrapped Armament Haki round the chassis and punched.
The Destroyer flew again, caving in a wall.
Volstagg sprinted; Hogun and Fandral clasped hands, boosting Volstagg into a leap.
For Asgard!
Volstagg roared, flew, and chopped at the Destroyer.
The Destroyer backhanded Volstagg mid-rise.
Bang!
Volstagg crashed onto a car roof, denting it.
Still dazed, he saw the Destroyer advance, orange light seeping through its seams, charging to finish him.
Suddenly a lithe figure dropped—Sif drove her blade clean through the Destroyer.
The Destroyer bent, energy cut off, head drooping.
Sif, in light chest armor and leather skirt, stood atop the Destroyer, glanced at her comrades, and smiled.
Watch out!
Eustass yelled; the Destroyer's head and arms twisted, joints locking on Sif.
Eustass—armor rocketing—snatched Sif and soared away.
A beam lanced past, Sif barely spared, streaking skyward as the Destroyer rose, untouched, wrenching free of the blade.
We can't kill it—pull back!
Sif shouted, cradled in Eustass's arms.
Eustass set her down; she wanted to charge again, but he blocked her.
You're not its match—fall back.
No—I'm an Asgardian warrior; I'll die with honor, my saga sung forever.
Sif cried.
Get me a sword.
Eustass barked.
How's this one?
Fandral lifted his blade.
Perfect!
Eustass snatched the sword, glanced at Sif—If you want to die, come on.
Sif sprinted after.
Screw this!
short Volstagg hefted his axe.
The Destroyer loomed, lowered its head, and fired.
Eustass wrapped Conqueror's Haki round the blade and slashed.
The beam split; the sword struck the Destroyer, sparks spraying as it arced away.
Sif yanked her long sword free and charged with Eustass.
The Destroyer's metal arm seized the blade.
A steel boot slammed into its face, booting it away.
Eustass—armor streaking—wrapped Haoshoku round the blade and chopped.
Sparks hissed; cracks webbed the Destroyer's frame.
Eustass gripped the sword, Haoshoku pulsing, and cleaved again.
The Destroyer staggered, more cracks racing across its hull.
Eustass whirled the blade, flashes dancing as the Destroyer took hit after hit, fissures spreading.
A beam lanced out; Eustass sidestepped, flicked his wrist, and the Destroyer flipped, sparks raining.
Oh my—what's that armor made of?
Hogun marveled.
Who knows.
Fandral shrugged.
He's the strongest warrior in Midgard—least that's what I think.
Thor said.
The Destroyer's fist shot out; Eustass skewered it with his blade, then hammered it with a fist.
The mark v's alloy fist—Haoshoku-clad—met the Destroyer's metal, sparks flying as the Destroyer reeled.
Helen Cho, overseeing the evacuation, stared dumbstruck.
That's still the mark v?
As far as she knew, the mark v never had that kind of defense.
Eustass fought on; Helen Cho wondered how to retcon the armor—she was stumped.
The Destroyer fired again; Eustass back-flipped, blade flashing, and dodged.
Another beam—Eustass closed in and slashed.
Chk!
The Haoshoku-charged blade bit into the Destroyer's right arm, wedging a plate.
Eustass's muscles bulged; the sword sheared deeper.
If they couldn't finish it, his Haki just wasn't strong enough.
Far away,
Thor finally decided to speak with his brother Loki.
Thor strode forward.
Brother, whatever I've done, whoever I've wronged, I beg you—spare them; they're innocent; taking their lives brings you no honor.
Thor stared at the Destroyer, knowing Loki was watching—Kill me and end this.
The next instant,
the Destroyer was booted aside by Eustass; Thor was sideswiped and sent tumbling.
Chapter 44: 44. From Earth to Asgard! (Part 2) Please collect!
Thor's emotional spellcasting was mercilessly interrupted.
Eustass was also stunned for a moment.
[host defeated Thunder God Thor!]
[Reward: Conqueror's Haki Strength ×2!]
Eustass:???
This system is generous, it's reliable!
The Destroyer was indeed the object he kicked away, and it knocked Thor flying, so it could barely be considered him defeating Thor.
Jane Foster quickly ran over, embracing the battered Thor.
On the other side.
S.H.I.E.L.D. temporary Base.
The Mjolnir's energy index continuously soared. The next moment, a sonic boom sounded, and Mjolnir instantly shot into the sky, rapidly flying towards Old Bridge Town.
Dr. Selvig looked at the object flying through the sky like a missile with a trailing comet, his expression startled. He instantly recalled Thor's earlier nonsense.
Dr. Selvig quickly rushed towards Jane and dragged her away.
Thor's arm instantly rose, grasping the incoming mjolnir. Dark clouds gathered in the sky, and a bolt of lightning struck down.
Pieces of Thor's armor appeared on his body, and lightning glowed, dazzling everyone's eyes.
Thor, clad in armor and a red cape, appeared before everyone. He swung mjolnir, sending the Destroyerflying.
The Destroyer flew towards Eustass. Eustass's sharp blade was wreathed in Conqueror's Haki, and he unleashed a sword strike.
A cold light flashed and disappeared. One of the Destroyer's arms flew up and landed on the ground.
A dense, inky black airflow appeared in the sky, transforming into a rapidly spinning tornado as Thorascended.
Thor flew in the sky, his right hand continuously accelerating the swing of Mjolnir. The airflow spun faster and faster, carrying the Destroyer's body upwards.
The Destroyer looked at Thor flying in the sky, and the mark v flying with jet flames.
It fired a beam of energy at Thor.
Thor brought his hammer down, deflecting the beam.
It then aimed another beam at Eustass.
Eustass held Fandral's longsword, its blade wreathed in Haoshoku, and unleashed a sword strike.
The energy beam was sliced in two, changing direction and shooting off in two different directions, piercing through the airflow and flying high into the sky.
"How about we see who dismantles this pile of scrap metal first!"
Thor shouted, looking at Eustass.
"Then let's go!"
Eustass said. The two quickly flew towards the Destroyer, their hammer and sharp sword rapidly descending.
Beams continuously shot out from the Destroyer's faceplate holes. The two, holding their weapons, cut through the beams and quickly descended.
Finally, with a single sword strike, the Destroyer was split in two. Its energy reaction ceased, and its body plummeted downwards.
Thor's hammer missed its target. He looked at Eustass in surprise, laughing heartily.
Eustass was such a capable fighter; he also liked to be friends with such people.
He understood that the swords of Asgard were excellent, but for Fandral's sword to split the Destroyer was truly wishful thinking, as if he'd drunk too much.
Thor understood that the truly formidable one was Eustass himself.
The dark clouds in the sky completely disappeared.
The Destroyer's body crashed onto the street, sending thick dust billowing in all directions.
From within the dust, Eustass and Thor walked out together. Behind them, various large and small debris continued to fall, and a car smashed onto a rooftop.
[host defeated the Destroyer!]
[Reward: Stamina ×3!]
Eustass, who had felt a little tired, instantly felt his stamina replenished after receiving the new reward.
Eustass patted his battle armor. The mobile battle armor began to deform and retract, detaching from his body and transforming into a box.
Helen Cho quickly flew over and handed him a new box.
The mark v's energy sustainability was too poor, so they usually carried several mark v boxes.
Eustass took the box.
"We need to go to the Bifrost Bridge marker. I need to talk to my brother."
Thor said.
"I'll go too and see Asgard for myself, how about it?"
Eustass said.
Thor and the four warriors looked at Eustass and nodded quickly.
"That would be wonderful!"
Fandral said.
"Let's take down that little bastard Loki!"
Volstagg shouted, raising his axe.
"Asgard welcomes you, warrior of Midgard!"
Hogun said with a smile, patting Eustass's arm.
"You're really impressive, no worse than Thor."
Sif gave Eustass a thumbs-up.
"Once all this is over, we absolutely must have a good fight!"
Thor laughed.
He was a warlike person, and the fact that Eustass had previously crushed him was something he could never forget.
"I'm truly looking forward to that, it will be an ultimate battle!"
Eustass laughed.
He seemed to be implying that he and Thor were evenly matched, but in reality, he was intentionally flattering Thor.
The more Thor loved to fight him, the more rewards he would receive.
"Let's go!"
Thor and Eustass said in unison.
The four warriors cheered in unison and followed the two to the Bifrost Bridge marker.
"Please wait!"
Just then.
A car stopped not far away.
Coulson quickly walked over. He looked at the box in Eustass's hand with surprise, feeling that the other party seemed a bit too strong.
But since he had forged a friendship with an alien prince, Coulson didn't dare to say much.
"Donny, it seems you haven't been entirely truthful with me."
Coulson looked up at the two tall figures and smiled.
"Listen, Son of Kour, we both bear the same mission: to protect this World! From today onwards, you can consider me an ally. Furthermore, I have two announcements to make: first, you must return what you took to Jane. Second, he is the warrior I admire most, and he will be honored as a distinguished guest in Asgard, so you had best not provoke my friend, or his family."
From today onwards, you can consider me an ally.
Additionally, I have two things to announce. First, you must return what you took from Jane.
Second, he is the warrior I admire most, and he will also be honored as a distinguished guest in Asgard in the future, so you'd best not provoke my friend, or his family."
Coulson was speechless. Son of Kour, what the hell?
He looked at Eustass. They had never intended to provoke him.
Now he had another alien friend.
"Of course."
Coulson nodded.
Soon after.
At the Bifrost Bridge marker.
Eustass brought Helen Cho here.
Thor, Jane, and the four warriors also arrived.
"Want to go and see Asgard together?"
Eustass smiled at Helen Cho, "This is a place of myth and legend."
"No, I'd rather stay on Earth and wait for you to return."
Helen Cho shook her head. She still needed to research battle armor technology and Nanotechnology... "Alright, wait for me to return."
Eustass bent down and kissed Helen Cho for a long time.
"Heimdall, lower the Bifrost Bridge!"
Thor stood on the marker, shouting towards the sky.
"Heimdall, Heimdall!"
Thor kept shouting.
Asgard.
Heimdall, frozen on the Bifrost Bridge by Loki, roared inwardly. He struggled to break free, and the next moment, the ice shattered. Heimdall tore himself loose, letting out a furious roar. His sharp, eagle-like eyes darted to the side. He swung his sword, killing one Frost Giant, then reversed his grip and stabbed another Frost Giantbehind him.
Heimdall, dragging his weary body, walked to the interior of the Bifrost Bridgehead, plunged his longsword in, and activated the Bifrost Bridge.
Earth.
New Mexico, over the wilderness.
Eustass and Thor looked at the vortex descending from the sky. The two bid farewell to their respective girlfriends, then quickly ran towards the marker.
The four warriors followed closely.
The next moment, the six vanished from their original spot, speeding towards Asgard with the Bifrost Bridge.
Chapter 45: 45. From Earth to Asgard! (Part 2) Please give me your monthly votes!
Not long after.
Asgard.
Bifrost Bridge.
Eustass and Thor's group appeared in the Bifrost Bridgecontrol room. In front, Heimdall's sword was stuck there, and Heimdall lay nearby, severely wounded.
Fandral and the others quickly stepped forward to help Heimdall up.
"You take him to the infirmary, I'm going to find Loki!"
Thor shouted.
"Let me see what Asgardian warriors are made of."
Eustass said with a smile, putting on his new mark varmor and quickly flying off, following Thor towards the city of Asgard.
Eustass came for no other reason than to steal kills.
Just like before, he beat Stark for rewards, and helping him also earned rewards.
As long as there were rewards, he could transform into the Fourth Calamity (player), an old Warframe player, a Tenno Bandit.
Asgard, inside the palace.
Thor's Mother, Frigga, heard the commotion outside and quickly drew her sword with a clang.
Two blue Frost Giants kicked open the door and entered. Frigga's sword fell, a cold light flashed, and one Frost Giant was cut down on the spot.
King Laufey of Jotunheim punched out, knocking Frigga to the ground.
Frigga screamed as she rolled aside. Laufey quickly walked towards a spot not far away.
A golden light barrier enveloped Odin, the King of Gods, who was still in a deep slumber.
Laufey's blue body passed through the light barrier. He looked at Odin lying on the bed, pried open his eyes, and humiliated him for a good while.
After chattering for a long time, he conjured an ice blade in his hand, preparing to stab Odin to death:
"The one who kills you is I—Laufey!"
The next instant, a beam of light shot out, hitting Laufey's back. Laufey's back burned, and the powerful attack left him weak, collapsing to the ground.
Loki, clad in armor, stood at the doorway, holding the King's Scepter, staring coldly at Laufey, his eyes filled with disgust:
"And the one who kills you is the Son of Odin."
Laufey looked at him in disbelief.
Loki was about to deliver the finishing blow to Laufey, but a beam of light flew in first, directly striking Laufey and killing him.
Loki angrily turned to look.
A steel figure flew in quickly and landed at the doorway.
[host defeated Frost Giant Laufey!]
[Reward obtained: Strength x3!]
Eustass looked at the deceased Laufey and breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness, he made it in time. He stole the kill.
Stealing a kill is a profit!
"You lowly Midgardian, how dare you break into the palace? Kneel!"
Loki's kill was stolen, and he was furious. He gripped his scepter and slammed it into the ground, roaring.
"Loki, don't be rude. He did save your father, after all."
Frigga quickly interjected.
But the next instant.
Something happened that angered both Frigga and Loki.
Odin, lying nearby and sensing his surroundings, had never expected such a situation either.
Eustass raised his arm, and an energy beam shot towards Loki.
Loki quickly raised his scepter to block the attack.
"Hey, you're Thor's friend, right? Relax, relax, I'm Thor's brother..."
Loki was halfway through his sentence when Eustassinstantly rushed over and punched Loki in the head.
Loki's form became illusory and dissipated, using a substitute to dodge the blow.
However, Eustass stomped his feet violently, using Soru to instantly appear before Loki. In Asgard, he no longer needed to conceal his abilities and directly used Rokushiki.
Loki's face showed a hint of surprise. The next moment, Eustass slapped him hard across the face, sending him flying.
Loki crashed heavily into the nearby wall. Eustasscharged forward, but Loki quickly stood up, raised his scepter, and fired an energy beam at Eustass.
Eustass's palm was covered in Armament Haki. He slapped the energy beam away, charged forward, and attacked Loki.
Loki used his old trick, leaving an illusionary clone in place to deceive his enemy, while he appeared behind Eustass with his scepter, thrusting its sharp tip towards him.
Eustass turned around, grabbed the scepter, yanked it towards himself, and delivered a powerful punch to Loki's face.
Loki flew out, fell to the ground, and the scepter dropped.
"NO—!"
Frigga quickly shielded her son, blocking Eustass's attack.
"Mother, get out of the way!"
At the doorway.
Thor ran in, staring angrily at Loki, who was hiding behind Frigga, "Why didn't you tell her how you sent the Destroyer to kill me and my friends?"
Frigga was stunned and looked at her son behind her.
Although Loki was not her biological son, she treated him like her own.
She never expected that Loki would try to kill his brother for the throne.
"Why? Of course, it's to further fulfill Father's final command!"
Loki grabbed the scepter and circled around his Motherwith the other two.
"Excuse me, I'm going to destroy Jotunheim now!"
The moment Thor lunged at Loki, Loki's form dissipated. The real Loki had already run towards the doorway.
"And I'll destroy Midgard too!"
Loki said triumphantly.
Eustass stomped his feet violently, instantly appearing before Loki, and kicked him in the head.
"Bang!"
"Ah!"
Loki took a kick to the back of his head, his golden helmet flying off, his long hair disheveled. Loki snorted and continued to run outside, heading towards the Bifrost Bridge.
Upon reaching outside the palace, he found a horse, mounted it, and galloped towards the Bifrost Bridgecontrol room.
The sound of flame thrusters came, and Eustass, wearing his mark v, flew over, blocking his path, his palms aimed at Loki.
"Times have changed, Asgardian Second Princess~"
Eustass teased with a smile.
He should have called Loki the Third Princess, but Lokiand Thor didn't know about Hela's existence yet.
"Die, you bastard!"
Loki remembered the kick Eustass gave him and was furious. He gripped his scepter and fired an energy beam at Eustass.
Eustass maneuvered his armor, quickly dodging.
"Die, die, you lowly Midgardian!"
Loki roared repeatedly. Eustass's kick had injured his foundation, otherwise, he wouldn't be so angry.
Coupled with the term 'Third Princess', Loki's temper flared even more.
Energy beams continuously flew out, but Eustass easily dodged them with his armor.
Armor really was useful; it mainly saved a lot of stamina.
It made him not even want to use Moonwalk anymore.
"Second Princess, calm down. In a few thousand years, you'll be a hero again."
Eustass mocked.
"Bastard, I'll destroy your home first!"
Loki couldn't hit Eustass, so he roared, mounted his horse, and galloped towards the Bifrost Bridge control room.
Eustass fired a beam of light directly at Loki.
Loki quickly raised his scepter to block.
Chapter 46: Thor Loses His Second 'Princess'! Asgardian Feast! (Please Favorite!)
Loki rode his horse, deflecting attacks as he raced toward the control room.
Eustass rushed in; Loki had already plunged the sceptre into the console. The Bifrost Bridge locked on Midgard(Earth), energy overloaded, a beam tore through the starry void, space twisted, and the next instant a vortex opened above Midgard, power surging down to slam into its soil.
Earth.
Black Continent.
Inside a city.
Several dogs sat in an alley, chatting about which country to visit and then casually ripping up their visas.
The next second—
a horrific energy column fell, the city blasted to pieces; as the seconds ticked by the shock-wave rolled into the wilds, Earth crumbled, roads vanished, cars melted under the terrible energy… Asgard.
Bifrost Bridge, control room.
Eustass sprinted at Loki; Loki fired blast after blast from the sceptre, Eustass dodged again and again, closing the gap bit by bit.
"Your hometown is right behind me—beg me! Beg and I might stop. Kneel, lowly Midgardian!"
Loki roared arrogantly, arms flung wide. "You're different from the rest—kneel to me! Kneel to the new king of Asgard! Grovel at my feet!"
Eustass: "…"
Who knew which place Loki had just vaporised… In a flash Eustass was in front of him; Loki pulled his old trick—an illusion left in place while the real Loki, dagger in hand, stabbed from behind.
Eustass spun, palm striking out; Armament Haki erupted as a solid shock-wave that slammed Loki and sent him flying.
Then Eustass grabbed the sceptre lodged in the console and yanked it free.
He was afraid the blast might have been near New Mexico and caught Helen Cho in the fallout.
He had no idea Loki had actually done the world a favour by removing a stain.
Earth.
Black Continent.
In those moments the Bifrost's overloaded energy kept growing, ever more terrifying.
In mere minutes five cities on the Black Continent were erased, the land shredded to dust.
With the sceptre pulled free the overload cut out and the barrage finally ceased.
Given a little longer Loki could have annihilated every civilisation on Earth.
S.H.I.E.L.D.
Fury clutched a communicator as he stared at satellite images of the Black Continent, shaking, cold sweat pouring.
He had nearly called Captain Marvel, who was roaming the stars.
Fury immediately ordered teams to investigate and issued a strict edict: no one was to provoke Eustass, Helen Cho, Thor, or Jane Foster.
No matter the trouble they caused, agents were to look the other way and pretend they saw nothing.
Thor and Eustass had barely set foot in Asgard when a terrifying weapon struck Earth, wiping several cities off the map in seconds.
It didn't take a genius to link it to Asgard.
Earth had no powerful weapons of its own; Fury dared not make enemies lightly.
"Mother—"
Fury slumped in his seat, drained, staring at the ruins on the screen.
That day the whole world was stunned.
S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't keep it secret; a strike on that scale was impossible to hide.
From that day humanity panicked—they realised just how weak Earth truly was!
…Asgard.
Sceptre in hand, Eustass spotted Loki trying to sneak-attack and simply swung the weapon like a club.
Loki screamed as he was smashed off his feet, tumbling along the Bifrost.
In the distance
Thor flew in, hammer first, and slammed the just-standing Loki.
Loki had tried to destroy Midgard—where Thor's girlfriend lived—pushing his little brother over the line.
"Pfft—"
The hammer caught Loki square in the back; blood sprayed as he was hurled to the edge of the Bifrost and tumbled off.
"Loki!"
Thor shouted, diving after him and reaching out.
"Foolish brother!"
Loki's voice came from behind; Thor started—the hand he grabbed dissolved into an illusion, Loki's favourite trick.
Old as the ruse was, the dim-witted brother always fell for it.
Loki kicked at Thor, but the next instant a golden sceptre whipped across his face, smashing teeth and reshaping his cheek.
Loki's body arced through the air and plunged into Asgard's Roaring River, the torrent sweeping him toward the stars.
[host has defeated Loki!]
[Reward gained: Speed ×2!]
"Loki—!"
Thor roared.
Odin's aged form appeared on the Bifrost, silently watching Loki drift away among the stars.
"I could have done it for you, Father—"
Loki's form sped into the distance; the earlier overload had twisted space into a vortex whose pull was terrifying.
He saw his father appear, saw his brother leap and seize him.
The All-Father caught Thor.
All Loki received was Odin's gaze of disappointment.
"No, Loki."
Odin shook his head.
Every trace of smile vanished; in despair Loki stared at his father, then pushed his brother's hand away and fell into the vortex.
"NO—!"
Thor's roar was one of utter despair.
Not long after
the Spatial Vortex slowly faded.
Only then did the group turn and leave.
"Young man, I hold no grudge. Stay in Asgard for a few days; guests like you are welcome."
Odin looked at Eustass. "Whenever you wish to leave, call Heimdall—he will hear."
"Thank you."
Eustass nodded, then glanced at Thor—he intended to pick quite a few fights.
With permission to use the Bifrost, whenever he felt he was falling behind he could pop over and beat Thor for an upgrade… That night.
Asgard.
Within the resplendent hall.
Eustass feasted with Asgard's warriors, drinking and chatting with beauties while making new friends and arranging spars for tomorrow.
Volstagg had an arm round several beauties, drinking and bragging—Asgard's very own Usopp.
Claiming he'd merely pretended to fall to the Destroyerand could shatter it with ease, and so on.
Laughter and cheer filled the hall.
"A toast—to the great Midgard warrior who beat the Destroyer!"
Fandral raised his cup.
"Cheers!"
Asgard's warriors, men and women alike, joined the hearty celebration.
"A toast—to Asgard's mighty and beautiful Shield-Maidens, and to the rest of you hearty warriors!"
Eustass said with a grin at Sif; the Shield-Maidenscheered.
The warriors drained their cups and flung them aside:
"Another round!"
Chapter 47: 47. Great Battle with Thor! (Please collect!)
The banquet ended that evening.
Eustass drank a group of Asgardian warriors under the table; his capacity for alcohol was so immense that many Asgardian warriors couldn't compete.
After drinking with everyone and finishing the banquet, Eustass followed Hogun to the guest room in Asgard.
"You can rest here for now. If you want to spar tomorrow, find... uh, find Thor."
Hogun originally intended to say to spar with him, but remembering Eustass's combat power, he changed his words.
"See you tomorrow, Hogun."
Eustass said with a smile.
"See you tomorrow."
Hogun nodded and turned to leave.
Eustass closed the door and stretched out his limbs on the large bed.
Hogun came from the Kingdom of Vanaheim, and his strength was quite good compared to others.
He was a man of strong backbone, and in the future, after Hela returned to Asgard, he would die in battle against Hela.
The next day.
Eustass woke up early in the morning for his workout, carrying a huge rock on his back and running vigorously around the palace complex, the ground thudding with each step.
Soon after, the morning light began to glimmer.
The Asgardian warriors also came out to train, one by one running up to follow Eustass. They admired strength, and Eustass's unique arrival filled the warriors with respect for Midgardians.
In their previously ingrained impressions, Midgardians were always weak.
But Eustass changed their preconceived notions.
Beautiful Asgardian women woke up and came out, looking admiringly at the Midgardian man carrying a huge rock and running swiftly around the palace complex.
Many of the Asgardian women's eyes showed admiration.
Eustass's workout intensity was normal in the Pirate World, excellent in the movie version of Asgard, and simply heaven-defying on Marvel movie Earth.
In fact, he felt his workout wasn't intense enough and needed to be strengthened.
It was just that different environments led to different perceptions.
Others could watch, he would train.
Learning from Zoro, he was either doing extra training or catching up on sleep!
...After his morning workout, Eustass quickly ran to eat. Looking at the mountain of food piled on the table, Eustass immediately went into a ravenous, whirlwind-eating mode, taking huge bites of meat and crunching bones directly before swallowing them.
The chef bringing the food was startled.
How could this Midgardian eat even more exaggeratedly than them, the Asgardians?
"Ah hahaha, my goodness, are you a giant? You eat so much!"
Fandral walked in, looking shocked at the mountain of food in front of Eustass.
Eustass was like Luffy's character personified, with two roasted meat legs stuffed in his mouth, chewing while looking back at Fandral.
"Hahaha, how hearty!"
Volstagg walked over, laughing as he patted Eustass.
Eustass crunched on bones, simply greeting the two before dedicating himself back to the great task of annihilating the food.
The chef frequently returned to replenish the food, and the small mountain in front of Eustass changed several times before he finally rubbed his belly contentedly and sat down to rest.
"That's too exaggerated, haha."
Fandral pointed at Eustass's belly, which looked like he was several months pregnant, and said with a laugh.
"Why do I feel like your belly is shrinking?"
Volstagg looked at Eustass with a hint of disbelief.
"Ah, normal."
Eustass said with a smile.
In a moment, his belly slowly flattened, and Eustassinstantly felt full of energy.
Looking at the busy chef, Eustass thought to himself that he would have to prepare more high-calorie food in the future.
His stamina would eventually run out.
His physique gave him a huge recovery advantage, just like Luffy; when he ran out of stamina from fighting, he would just eat.
He would eat on the spot and recover his stamina on the spot.
"You definitely aren't a Midgardian. I've never heard of such a strange Midgardian."
Volstagg said.
Eustass: "..."
"But I am a Midgardian."
Eustass said with a smile.
Earth has many names in this World.
The Nine Realms call Earth Midgard.
Various Planets in the Milky Way Galaxy call Earth Tielan Star.
"Then you must never have eaten your fill at home."
Fandral said.
Eustass nodded.
He really hadn't eaten his fill.
His appetite was truly astonishing; he had already been very restrained when eating out normally.
"Where are Hogun and Sif?"
Eustass asked.
"Hogun went to find Thor, Sif, I don't know."
Fandral said.
Eustass nodded, said goodbye, and got up to leave.
That afternoon.
Around the lawn.
Many Asgardian warriors sat around, watching the Midgardian warrior battle many Asgardian warriors in the center.
A dozen magnificent, tiger-like Asgardian warriors, along with Sif, surrounded Eustass. They held sharp blades and charged forward, their roars shaking the heavens.
Eustass, bare-handed, enveloped in Armament Haki, grabbed two sharp blades, and with a sudden powerful swing of his arms, directly flung two Asgardian warriors away.
The surrounding warriors cheered loudly.
Every now and then, several Asgardian warriors would be sent flying. Eustass didn't need to wear armor; bare-handed, he beat these Asgardians until they had no power to fight back.
"Ahhh!"
Sif, wearing leather pants and a short skirt, ran swiftly, her sharp sword flashing with cold light as it lunged at Eustass. Eustass parried the sword with one hand, and with the other, he aimed at Sif, releasing Armament Hakithat slammed into Sif, sending her flying.
[host defeated fourteen Asgardian elites!]
[Reward obtained: Strength ×2!]
These people were called elites, but their strength was far inferior to Thor's, so Eustass could understand why the rewards accumulated were only this much.
There were many Asgardian warriors, and he thought accumulating small amounts was fine; it wasn't a big problem.
[host defeated Sif!]
[Reward obtained: Speed ×2!]
Eustass walked up to Sif, extended his hand, and helped her up.
"Who else wants to challenge me?"
"Me!"
Not far away.
Thor, clad in shining armor, walked quickly, wielding Mjolnir, looking excitedly at Eustass.
"This is truly an anticipated battle!"
Eustass looked at Thor and said with a smile.
"Hahaha, I'm definitely the one who'll win this time!"
Thor laughed loudly, and the onlookers quickly retreated to a distance.
"Come on!"
"Come on!"
With that, Thor instantly raised mjolnir. Wisps of electric light shimmered around the hammer, whistling through the air as it smashed towards Eustass.
Thunderous light flashed, like long serpents coiling around the hammer, violently blasting forward, striking Eustass along with the warhammer.
Eustass's hand was wrapped in threads, weaving into a sharp sword. Conqueror's Haki coiled around the blade, and he violently slashed it at Thor, cutting through the wind.
The Conqueror's Haki wrapped around the sword blade like black lightning.
mjolnir and the thread sword clashed together, a crisp metallic clang resonating. The two swung their weapons, fiercely attacking each other again.
Chapter 48 – Thor: I'm completely empty! (Please bookmark! Please vote!)
Rumble—!
The two strikes collided; Thor's blue lightning blazed while Eustass' black Haoshoku tendrils snaked like serpents.
Blue and black light flooded the arena, perfectly split.
Asgardian warriors cried out in shock.
Haah!
With a furious roar, Thor hurled Mjolnir, sending a vast sheet of lightning crashing toward Eustass.
Eustass stomped the ground dozens of times in an instant—Soru—and vanished.
The moment Thor blinked, Eustass appeared behind him, thread sword wrapped in Haoshoku as it slashed down.
Thor flung the hammer rearward.
Eustass used Soru again and disappeared; Mjolnir whiffed and punched through a distant building.
From afar, Eustass slammed both palms to the ground, activating his Devil Fruit and turning the arena into endless threads.
White Out: White Serpent!
Countless transparent threads coiled into two colossal white dragons that spiraled through the air and slammed into Thor.
Thor sprinted back, caught the returning Mjolnir, and smashed it toward Eustass.
Boom!
White Serpent and Mjolnir collided in a spectacular burst of shredded silk and sparks.
Thor spun Mjolnir; onlookers scrambled even farther away.
Overhead, black clouds blanketed the sky.
Air currents whipped into a vortex around Thor, lifting everything nearby into weightless spirals.
Thor leapt sky-high and swung, sending a titanic bolt crashing toward Eustass.
Crack!
Shield White Thread!
With a sweep of both arms, Eustass raised several huge white columns from the ground to block the strike.
Above.
Just as Thor raised mjolnir again, the white shield collapsed and a tidal wave of threads surged forward, endless and unceasing.
Wave White Thread!
Thor swung mjolnir wildly, lightning flashing as he chopped through wave after wave of thread.
Eustass glanced skyward and swung both arms sharply.
Thousand Arrows: Heart-Piercing Feather Strike!
In the next instant.
Eustass assimilated the ground; thousands of Armament-wrapped threads rose like flamingo wings, slicing through the white silk and stabbing at Thor.
Ah!
Mid-air, Thor was battered by thousands of Haoshokuthreads and finally slammed to the ground in a heap.
[host has defeated Thor!]
[Reward: Strength ×2!]
Eustass' face lit up.
He had grown even stronger.
He walked over to Thor, dismissed the thread sword, and sat down panting.
"Y-you're really strong!"
Thor exclaimed.
"You're not bad yourself; you just let your guard down."
Eustass praised.
"Haha, exactly! I just got careless—next time!"
Thor yelled.
Eustass looked at him fondly—such a good tool.
"Right, don't tell anyone about my powers from now on; I treat you like a brother."
Eustass slapped Thor's shoulder.
Thor stared at him excitedly.
"Relax, no matter what, I won't say a word."
"Let's fight again!"
"Come on!"
"Again!"
Thor roared happily.
The onlookers hurried over—only to find the two super wreckers at it again and scrambled even farther away.
In the distance, Sif and the others watched.
One moment, black clouds pressed down and lightning slashed to earth.
The next, the ground and buildings turned into endless silk that surged skyward and swept toward Thor.
Not long after.
Thor was defeated again and lay on the ground.
[host has defeated Thor!]
[Reward: Stamina ×2!]
"Again!"
"Fight!"
Eustass' stamina refilled, and Thor roared with fiery passion.
Moments later, Thor collapsed from exhaustion.
[host has defeated Thor!]
[Reward: Armament Haki Strength ×2!]
Eustass patted Thor's shoulder:
"You're no good, Thor."
How could a man admit he's no good?
Thor was furious!
"Again!"
He had barely shouted before Thor and Eustass were at it again.
Eustass won again; Thor collapsed, eyes glazed.
[host has defeated Thor!]
[Reward: Endurance ×2!]
Eustass:???
This reward… must be battlefield stamina, right?
"All right, rest up—tomorrow again."
Eustass glanced at Thor and walked away.
"I—I'll definitely win…"
Thor stared at the sky miserably.
For the next several days.
Eustass kept training in Asgard, occasionally sparring with Asgardian warriors.
Sparring with Asgardian warriors earned him [Strength ×4] and [Armament Haki Strength ×4].
But Thor seemed scared of being beaten and secretly trained in some corner.
Actually, the best way for Thor to get stronger was to let the Time Stone age him into Old Man Thor—Eustassfigured Purple Sweet Potato Spirit would find that idea thrilling.
After ten straight days in Asgard, Eustass figured it was time to head back—Heimdall could always send him again.
The night before departure.
Asgardian warriors were reluctant to see Eustass leave.
Many even invited him to stay and settle in Asgard.
But Eustass declined.
"Come, raise a glass—farewell to my Midgard brother!"
Thor lifted his cup and shouted.
"Cheers!"
Glasses clinked, wine splashed everywhere.
Everyone cheered and gulped wine, Asgardian hospitality on full display.
Smash!
Cups shattered; laughter filled the air as everyone drank again.
After eating and drinking, many beautiful Asgardianwomen invited Eustass to dance.
Eustass politely declined, walked to Sif, and invited her to dance.
"…"
Sif glanced at Thor in the distance, sighed, and nodded.
Eustass took Sif's hand, slipped an arm around the warrior maiden's waist, and danced with the crowd of Asgardian warriors and beauties in the resplendent hall.
The next day.
Early morning.
Eustass woke early, glanced at the sleeping Sif,
pecked her on the cheek,
and was about to leave a note and slip away.
But Sif woke, grabbed him, pulled the covers over them, and began teaching him Asgardian customs.
By noon.
Sif fell into deep sleep, and Eustass finally had a chance to pack up and leave.
He headed to the palace to find Thor but couldn't locate him; instead, he found Fandral and asked him to pass along word that he was leaving.
Not long after.
Bifrost Bridge.
Eustass and Fandral rode up to the control room—only to find Thor waiting.
"Before my father fell into slumber, he asked me to give you this."
Thor handed Eustass a long blade. "A weapon enchanted by my father."
Chapter 49: Haoshoku Infusion and the Hulk! (Requesting monthly votes!)
Eustass took the longsword, infused it with Conqueror's Haki, and swung it fiercely.
The black lightning formed by Conqueror's Haki coiled around the gleaming silver blade, a truly terrifying sight.
"Good sword, thanks."
Eustass nodded in thanks.
"Don't mention it, you helped us too."
Thor said with a smile.
...
Eustass nodded, reluctantly agreeing.
He only came along because he wanted to fight... "By the way, you and Sif?"
Thor looked at Eustass, hesitating.
"I'll come to see her often."
Eustass said.
"We and Sif are friends. Although you are a bit of a philanderer, as long as you don't abandon Sif, we won't meddle, haha."
Thor laughed.
Meaning, if Eustass abandoned Sif, they would gang up on him.
Heimdall activated the Bifrost Bridge, initiating the teleportation.
Eustass walked over, finally saying with a smile:
"I'll also come to fight you guys often."
Thor: "???"
Fandral: "!!!"
Volstagg and Hogun, who had just arrived to see him off, shivered.
This warmongering maniac, is he never going to stop?
Ever since Eustass arrived, even Thor, the future King of Asgard, had gotten a few bumps on his head.
A group of Asgardian warriors passing by would be dragged over by him and given a beating one by one.
To say that this warmongering maniac made people tremble with fear and stopped children in Asgard from crying at night would be no exaggeration.
After speaking, Eustass entered the Bifrost Bridge's teleportation channel. Radiant light flowed around him as he quickly headed towards Midgard.
Earth.
New Mexico.
Outside Old Bridge Town.
Above the wilderness sky, a mass of dark clouds suddenly gathered.
The next moment.
Eustass appeared on the ground, longsword in hand, and the dark clouds in the sky dissipated.
At his feet, a large marked pattern appeared on the ground.
Numerous armed off-road vehicles surrounded him, many machine guns pointed his way, and numerous helicopter machine guns aimed from above.
In the distance.
Coulson saw that it was Eustass and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
There was no other way; the previous energy beam from space had directly destroyed several cities in the Black Continent, making everyone worldwide jumpy.
An extraterrestrial strike, and one that came from a place they couldn't reach.
This truly terrified everyone.
S.H.I.E.L.D. knew Eustass had gone to Asgard, but he hadn't returned for a long time. They were unsure about the situation in Asgard, couldn't figure out who held power there now, whether they were friend or foe, and what exactly that previous attack was about.
Coulson gave the order, and all troops scattered and retreated.
Coulson, in a suit, quickly ran over and asked:
"What was that energy beam earlier?"
Eustass rested the longsword on his shoulder, looking at Coulson, "Ah, just a little tantrum from a Mischievous Prince's power."
Coulson: "..."
A 'little tantrum' and five cities were gone!?
Truly willful... "Where were they lost?"
Eustass asked curiously.
"Black Continent."
Coulson said.
"Quite a lot of deaths, right? Ahem, I mean, it wasn't too serious, was it?"
Eustass originally wanted to laugh but held it in.
"Five cities."
Coulson looked at him suspiciously, always feeling this kid had the potential to be a silent killer.
'What a pity, I should have stopped it a little later if I had known.'
Eustass sighed inwardly.
"This is?"
Coulson looked at the longsword in Eustass's hand.
"A small gift from Odin, the All-Father."
Eustass said, handing it to Coulson, asking if he wanted to study it.
Coulson quickly waved his hands vigorously, indicating he wouldn't dare... Helen Cho had returned to New York a few days ago.
Eustass then boarded the plane arranged by S.H.I.E.L.D.and flew directly back to New York.
Along the way, Eustass clearly felt that the Agents' attitudes towards him were completely different.
Ordinary people in superhero stories are like this: no matter how strong a superhuman is, as long as they are 'one of us,' they aren't afraid, they curse them, morally blackmail them, even threaten them, kidnap their family... But once they know the other party is a bad guy, or a friend of a powerful alien force, they instantly back down.
Eustass sat bored by the plane window, sighing.
Returning to Earth was so dull. He missed those reckless guys in Asgard, missed those passionate days of non-stop fighting.
In the following days.
Eustass would go to Asgard during the day to fight with those reckless guys, and play poker with Helen Cho at night.
Occasionally, he would visit Sif and Sharon.
Anyway, it was all about fighting... Once, he saw a Chaebol Boss who had been slandering him on TV giving a public speech. He immediately used his Doffy persona to kill the man on the spot, which attracted Stark and earned him the reward of [Observation Haki Perception Range x2].
Eustass was either on his way to a fight or on his way to 'fight' every day.
Two years passed in a flash.
British Columbia.
Bella Coola.
In the forest, various animals fled in panic, and flocks of birds scattered in all directions.
Booming sounds constantly echoed in the forest, and large numbers of trees fell from time to time.
"Roar—!"
A terrifying roar erupted from within the forest, echoing through the heavens and Earth, startling all creatures in the entire mountain range.
A green monster flew out from the forest. His body was full of explosive muscles, and he wore oversized, super-stretchy shorts.
Behind him, numerous giant white waves infused with high-density Armament Haki rapidly crashed in, one after another, hitting the Hulk, leaving him bruised and battered, breaking many trees, and rolling him dozens of meters on the ground.
"Roar!"
The Hulk stood up, roaring repeatedly. Looking at the guy who was flying towards him, defying physics by stepping on air, and the giant white waves he was sending, the Hulk suddenly spread his arms wide, then instantly clapped them together. The terrifying airflow generated prevented the giant white waves from advancing and made the trees sway, nearly toppling.
The Hulk continuously clapped his hands madly, generating an increasingly strong gust of wind, constantly pushing away the numerous giant white waves.
The next moment.
Eustass rushed forward using Moonwalk, his leg infused with Conqueror's Haki, and delivered a fierce kick to the Hulk.
"Roar!"
The Hulk roared, raising his arm to block at his side.
As Eustass's kick landed on his arm, the Hulk's mind went blank for a moment, losing consciousness.
Eustass sharply swung his right arm, and a line-pillar struck the Hulk, sending him flying.
The Hulk crashed through two large trees, rolled a long distance, and his body continuously shrank.
Until he returned to human form, transforming back into Banner.
Eustass quickly walked over and glanced at him.
Over the years, Eustass had been practicing HaoshokuInfusion. Of course, Haoshoku couldn't be actively trained to become stronger; he had merely developed a technique similar to 'Raijin Bagua'.
When infusing Haoshoku into his punches and kicks, he could launch remote attacks, stunning enemies.
And if using a sharp weapon, Haoshoku would make the attack even more potent.
Chapter 50. 50. Blackmailing S.H.I.E.L.D. with Banner! (Seeking Recommendation Votes!)
Not long after.
Banner slowly opened his eyes, looked at Eustassstanding opposite him, and sighed.
"Let's go."
Eustass reached out and said.
"Thanks."
Banner extended his hand and was pulled up.
Initially, Banner had been living in hiding, occasionally having his whereabouts discovered by the military, forcing him to flee again.
Over a year ago, Eustass found Banner. Eustass wasn't afraid of Banner at all, and gradually, the two became friends.
As time passed, after Banner went berserk once, he listened to Eustass's explanation and finally understood why the other party wasn't afraid of a monster like him.
Because after Banner transformed into the Hulk, Eustasspersonally beat the Hulk up.
Since then, Banner often followed Eustass. Whenever Banner lost control, Eustass would take responsibility for beating the Hulk back, and incidentally collect some reward... And today's Hulk is even stronger than the Hulkof a few years ago.
"Seriously, how did you get so strong? Mutation?"
Banner followed Eustass, asking curiously.
"Through training."
Eustass chuckled.
"If people heard Joker say that training could make someone this strong, most of the World would probably line up to become your disciple."
Banner said with a smile. Over the years, he had long since learned Eustass's identity.
However, Banner didn't particularly like the official group of people, so he wouldn't reveal it.
"It really is that simple."
Eustass made a "just this little bit" gesture, smiled, and walked away. Banner followed.
The two left the wilderness, reached the highway, got into a car, and drove away, heading toward the city.
A long time later.
As soon as Eustass and Banner returned to Banner's residence here, Eustass sensed a familiar presence inside Banner's home, and hundreds of soldiers were hidden in the surrounding buildings.
Eustass took Banner's keys and stood at the door to unlock it.
Opening the door, he walked in first.
"Agent Natasha, are all you S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents so impolite, always breaking into other people's homes?"
Eustass said mockingly.
"Let's not talk about that, Consultant Eustass. You knew Banner was here all along, why didn't you tell us?"
Natasha sat on the sofa and asked.
"Ah, are you going to fire me? You're welcome to anytime~"
After Eustass finished speaking, Banner followed him inside.
Natasha looked at Eustass, her mouth twitching slightly.
Eustass lay down on the nearby sofa, took the drink Banner retrieved from the fridge and tossed to him, and took a sip.
In fact, the only reason he held the position of consultant was purely to fight.
If there were no fights to be had, who would bother with S.H.I.E.L.D.~
Wouldn't it be more fun to go to Asgard to spar with Thor, return to Earth to play around with Green Fatty and collect some rewards, and occasionally seek out Helen Cho, Sif, and Sharon to experience the different charms of a scientist, an Asgardian warrior, and an Agent?
"So who are you? And what is your purpose for breaking into my home?"
Banner looked at Natasha in confusion.
"I am here on behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D. to see you, and you too, Eustass."
Natasha looked at the two and said.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
Banner was confused. "Didn't he say S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"It's S.H.I.E.L.D., he's just talking nonsense."
Natasha explained.
"No, no, no, don't listen to her. This old woman is best at lying. It's S.H.I.E.L.D., the biting snake."
Eustass said with a laugh.
"Oh, what does S.H.I.E.L.D. want with us?"
Banner clearly trusted Eustass more.
"It's S.H.I.E.L.D.! Damn it, call it whatever you want. Nick Fury trusts you and wants to ask for your help."
Natasha glared angrily at Eustass, then continued speaking.
"Oh, your eyes are truly beautiful. I believe a certain basketball player would be thrilled to die at your feet.
But Lady Gene Bank of S.H.I.E.L.D., we don't want to go."
Eustass lay on the sofa, smiling at Natasha.
"Damn it, if you say that to me again..."
Just as Natasha finished speaking angrily, Eustass patted her shoulder.
"And then what? Give me a good 'lesson'? Or maybe teach me a foreign language if you have time tonight?"
Eustass smiled at her.
Natasha gave him an annoyed glare, feeling helpless against this guy.
She couldn't beat him... Banner sat next to Eustass and nodded:
"We're not going. If you don't believe me, you can try seeing if the big guy inside me agrees."
"Gentlemen, we are currently facing a global catastrophe."
Natasha quickly said, placing her phone on the table and pulling up a photo. "This is called the Tesseract. Its energy is enough to destroy the Earth."
Banner's attention was instantly captured. He leaned in to look at the photo on the phone. Faced with a disaster of this magnitude, he truly couldn't remain calm.
"What does Fury want us to do?"
Banner asked.
"It was stolen. Fury hopes you can find it and bring it back.
Currently, the gamma rays it's emitting are too weak for us to track.
No one understands gamma rays better than you, Dr. Banner, which is why Fury sent me to talk to you."
Natasha said.
Banner nodded calmly, then looked at Eustass, asking for his opinion.
Banner knew that as long as he and Eustass were together, any damn S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't be able to fight them both.
If they went, they went. He wasn't scared.
At worst, they'd go over there and dismantle S.H.I.E.L.D.
"We can agree to let you use Banner's expertise to track the Tesseract, but let's negotiate the price first."
Eustass said.
Natasha was stunned for a moment. Fury hadn't mentioned paying them.
"So you're trying to trick people into working for free. Forget it."
Eustass waved his hand and continued sipping his drink.
"Forget it."
Banner waved his hand in agreement.
"I have some authorization. How about $500,000 U.S. dollars per person?"
Natasha said.
Neither of them paid her any attention.
Eustass's idea was simple: S.H.I.E.L.D. could invite them to help, but they absolutely had to pay a generous reward.
Why can't superheroes charge a fee?
Superheroes need to eat too, you know.
Otherwise, if they do good deeds for free and end up getting cursed out, wouldn't they become the biggest suckers?
"A million U.S. dollars per person?"
Natasha asked.
Eustass shook his head vigorously. By cooperating with Stark Industries, he and Helen Cho had established an energy company. Did he really need that small amount of money?
The main thing wasn't the amount of money; it was making Fury feel the pain.
Eustass held up one finger.
Natasha was stunned for a long time. Was this not a robbery?
"I'll make a request."
Natasha finished speaking, took her phone, and went outside.
Not long after, having received Fury's permission, she walked back in.
"Fine. You, Banner, and Helen Cho, ten million U.S. dollars each."
Natasha said.
"Helen Cho cannot go."
Eustass shook his phone. He had just called Helen Cho.
What a joke. He was going to S.H.I.E.L.D. to fight, not sightsee. Naturally, he couldn't bring his wife.
Natasha was silent for a moment, then nodded... S.H.I.E.L.D.
Inside the conference room.
"You are playing with Fire, Commander. This is not a force you can control."
On the screen, a council member said with displeasure.
"Have you ever fought a war, sir? In a real war, no one likes to be controlled."
Fury stood opposite them and said in a deep voice.
"Are you saying Asgard has declared war on us?"
The council member asked doubtfully, a hint of fear on his face.
"I'm not talking about Asgard, I'm talking about Loki.
We need a team, a response team."
Fury said.
"The Avengers Initiative has been halted. Those freaks cannot be controlled at all."
A council member said.
"Gentlemen, let me reiterate: it's a response team. And, provided they are coordinated properly, they can help us get through this crisis."
Fury reiterated.
"We dislike uncontrolled forces, especially this fellow named Eustass."
A council member said.
"Then why don't you talk to him, sir? I believe he will be very 'friendly'."
As soon as Fury finished speaking, the council members instantly fell silent.
Over the years, Joker has eliminated many important high-ranking figures in America.
And Eustass, who is suspected of being connected to Joker, has also gained the friendship of Asgard. Who would dare try to control him?
They must be tired of living.
