My chanting continued, day and night.
I was always chanting and praying to the God for his blessings.
But nothing was working at all as another year passed, I was now eighteen years old.
I went to the group named "naraks" time and again by deceiving my family saying things like "actually, I am going for a hunt".
"I am going outside for fresh air".
"Going to kill some monsters".
I made several excuses like that to deceive them. I owe them nothing yet I felt guilt in my bones.
Maybe I really am a high born who is fit to rule the kingdom.
If someone heard me say that, they would probably laugh but at this point I was used to it.
In one of my "hunts", I met the leader of naraks, he was a tall man with a sword on his back, his features were rough yet charming.
"Have you got what you wanted?", Manasin whispered.
We were deep in a jungle close to indravelora kingdom.
This jungle had red trees and wild species and a whole range of flowers with some wandrering monsters lying around.
We were standing in the middle of the jungle, "No,I haven't achieved anything", I said with a low voice.
"How much about the world you know boy?"
"Barely anything".
He laughed and looked at me with a shock.
"Do you even know of your own history?"
"I am not interested".
"I see, then allow me to enlighten you".
I had nothing to lose but a lot to be gained, I had no choice but to say "yess".
I said with a high voice that hinted excitement.
"Hmmm, about five hundred years ago there were kings and emperors, who killed each other because of one single thing".
Manasin explained, his green eyes looking at the orange blue sky that hinted of sunset.
He continued without stopping,
"That one thing was said to be the relic of gods themselves. This world is divided into four major Ages".
"Yes I do know of that but have no idea what happened in those ages".
"Hmmm, if I am being honest neither do I but I have a little knowledge about those ages from scriptures, books and ancient temples which are still there but in a different form".
"What do you mean?"
"You will know once you visit them".
"The first age went on for about 2000 years, it was the longest one but an important age that created eastern continent and Arcanastra we use today".
"And?", I asked impatiently.
"That's all I know about it".
I was quite disappointed but still optimistic that I would atleast get to learn some history about the world of sumaka but at the same time I was very confused, as to how would this help me gain a boon of their God? Perhaps gaining some insight about the world and history would make me gain a new perspective?
"The first age was called "the morning of God".
"Although some people also call it, "the light of boundary"
"I see, what about the next age", again I asked as though I had no time.
"The next age went on for about 1500 years, ten new gods were born".
"Legends has it that five of these gods fought with each other. All five of them perished in the battle, one creating humans and species, one creating time, one creating life, one creating darkness, and the last one creating death".
"Fascinating", I Muttered under my breath.
Suddenly I had a question.
"Isn't life and humanity the same things?
He laughed and said, "human body is just made up of flesh and bones, one needs a soul which is an ever burning flame that never gets perished even after death".
That much clarity was needed but was also obvious.
I nodded, "please continue".
"After that, the other five gods who were alive, made an alliance with each other, that they would hold their command over each five of those blessings which was left by the death of the fallen gods".
"Their rule continued for ten years, until one of the gods mysteriously disappeared, the God who controlled death was vanished just like that with no signs of returning".
"No one in sumaka died for over hundreds of years, sumaka was unbalanced with people spanning over billions. The gods were troubled until one of them stepped up for the Greater good of humanity, the God who controlled life absored every human who was suffering due to age, by doing this he was slowly succumbing to madness but another God who controlled time suddenly stopped it, he was affectionate of the God of life but his affection paid a heavy price, God of darkness and the God who created humans and species fought with the other two".
"Several humans suffered beacuse of it, but the most who suffered was the God of life who got consumed by the God of darkness.
God of creation (humans and species) perished in the war alongside god of time".
"That must have been terrifying", I said.
"Then, what happened after".
"Nobody knows except for the fact that after 600 years later, thirty new gods were born which ruled over sumaka alongside the two old gods which were god of darkness and God of life who was still under the darkness of the former".
"I see", "history is not completed after all, what really happened in those 600 years, god of darkness would have been in a dire situation as to what do now? Because God of time and God of creation both were perished alongside the disappearance of God of darkness, so what really happened and how did thirty new gods were born? Did he maybe use god of life to create those gods? Is that even possible?", Arthur made several guesses and didn't reach a logical conclusion.
"People call it the "the evening of gods", and also call it "the war and peace of gods".
"There were several eras in the second age but the history of those eras are lost", Manasin explained with his deep voice.
"What about the third age?"
"The third age went on for about 1000 years".
"The only things I know about the third age is that, A new God was born making the thirty-three gods that we know now to be completed. This God was powerful, so much so that, he could even battle equally with God of darkness who was the strongest god before the new God in third age was born".
"This God had control of divine weapons and were also called the God of war".
"Several gods conspired to kill him but none of them succeeded, in the end, they had no choice except for the alliance of other gods with him".
"In this age, Several kings and emperors started rising, most of them were God blades at that time".
"They were also called demi-gods".
Arthur's eyes widened as he listened, "so receiving a boon directly from God can make you a demi-god with several divine weapons. No wonder, why kings and emperors are so eager to learn and grow".
"This age was filled with wars, there was "dragon and human war", "elves and giant war", "dragons-elves and human war", and finally the biggest war "the war of liberation", this war had over five hundred million warriors with fifteen emperors and thirty five kings".
"The war of liberation had every race involved in it, be it dragons, elves, giants, demi-gods, dual-headed sneckons, mud swampers,tripula tribe, cangoni tribe, sirens, three headed drakkins, Demons, and many more".
"This war went on for about forty days and ended with demi-god emperors winning it, which marked the end of this age".
Arthur was silent for a few seconds, "there should be more right? But I guess that is lost as well?"
"Unfortunately", Manasin whispered with great difficulty.
"People called it "the afternoon of gods, and also "the rise of emperor".
"Now the fourth, as you know we are living in it and soon there will be the end of it, people call it the "night of gods", so far only 500 years have passed from this age, wonder how long will it go on?"
Arthur nodded, "so I have heard".
"An ancient relic of gods was passed down which made every king and emperor blood thirsty, although it was of a God but it was passed down to one of the king in the starting of fourth age. It was a sword which was abandoned by the king in some desert area, well that what legends say, the only thing which is different from these other swords is that It has something written on it with rishmit language, it was, "The sword of a cursed king".
