(This will be Au, and it will be a 2 part novel series. This is the first part, and will be a prequel to the main story. Part 2 will be the main story, and if they do well I'll do a prequel to this prequel.)

----------

[Potter Manor. 5th of July 1975.)

Mist encompassed a rather magnificent manor in the early hours of a typical overcast English morning.

Two thin and tall cloaked figures approached the manors gates, their shoulders hunched and heads constantly on a swivel as though someone was out their lurking in ambush waiting for them to lower their guard.

A minute passed before the taller of the two figures whipped out what seemed to be a long thin stick, with a silver dragon handle attached to the end of it.

The figure held the tip of the stick to their mouth and whispered something into it.

After they finished a tiny ethereal glowing silver dragon popped out of the stick and started flying towards the manor.

5 minutes passed before an older man and a woman exited the manor and made their way towards the two.

The taller of the two and the man and women exchanged a few words before the gates were opened and the two were ushered inside.

The four of them settled inside the reception roommate in front of a cozy fire lit inside of a grandiose fire place.

The two cloaked figures removed their hoods revealing their faces.

The taller of the two was an older man, who seemed to be in his late 20's. He had long thick golden hair that fell past his shoulder. His hair enhanced by the light of the fire seemed to have an ethereal glow to it.

His face held a regal bearing to it. He possessed high cheekbones and a sharp jawline. His eyes were a deep lavender color that only made his appearance more striking.

The other cloaked figure was much younger than the other. The two bore a striking resemblance to each other in terms of their facial structure. The differences were in the eyes and their hair color.

The young teen possessed short wavy raven black locks, combed neatly to the back. His eyes were an intense piercing violet. It was so dark that some might accidentally mistake it for gray or black.

The older women was the first to speak. "Andrew it's been so long since we last saw you." Said she. Her kind slightly worn face looked upon the two with the same warmth as the fire warming up the room.

"Is this your son with you?" She enquired, her chocolate brown eyes eyeing the young man curiously.

Andrew shakes his head. "He is not my son Euphemia, this is my nephew Caius."

Euphemia's eyes glaze over with nostalgia for a few seconds. "Is he Andrea's son?" She whispers with baited breath.

"He is." Andrew confirms.

"Oh! so she settled down hmm... With whom?" Said the man who had been silent up until now.

Andrew shifts uncomfortably, as though afraid to answer, or perhaps uncomfortable with the answer.

"I think this conversation is better had out of earshot of my nephew Fleamont."

Euphemia's brown eyes glow with untold worry for her old friend.

Euphemia turns to Caius, and smiles at him kindly as though she were trying to comfort him, and seeing that kind smile did exactly that for Caius. "I'm certain you must be hungry Caius. How about I have Misty make your favorite breakfast while us adults have some boring adult conversation hmm?..." Offers Euphemia with a sincerity that Caius has not really experienced before.

"I'd appreciate that madam." Speaks Caius softly, his voice a little shakey from being in the presence of strangers.

"Oh so polite." Euphemia Cooes. "But please call me Euphemia, not madam. Madam is much to formal." She rebukes jokingly, not an ounce of stereos in her velvety voice.

Caius nods, with a slight nervous smile on his lips. "That would be delightful Euphemia." He corrects.

Euphemia Claps in delight. "Excellent."

"Misty!" Called Euphemia.

About a second later, a strange ugly creature with big round eyes and big floppy ears appeared following the sound of a whip like crack.

"How can I be of services Missy Euphie?" Asks it, respectfully and tone laced with barely hidden reverence.

"I would appreciate if you could escorted the young Mr Caius to the dining room and serving him a breakfast of his choice."

As an after thought she added another order before Misty could answer her first request. "Also could you wake James up and ask him to entertain Caius while the adults speak."

Misty bowed deeply, so deep that her nose almost scraped the ground." It shall be done Missy Euphie."

She then turned to Caius and gestured for him to follow. "Come Mister Cai, Misty will makes you the most delicious deliciouses foods."

Caius looked towards his uncle for guidance who nodded slightly as though to say, it's fine you can go.

"Ahhh, thank you Misty." He thanked them strange creature before following her.

"You're welcome misters Cai." Replied she cheerfully, clearly pleased with being thanked.

As soon as Caius left the room, Andrew's neutral expression dropped, and his face morphed into a frown.

"So, what's happened to Andrea, Andrew?" Fleamont asked, his eyes narrowed with suspicion.

Euphemia too looked upon Andrew with worry, as she awaited his answer.

Andrew sighed. It was a heavy sigh, one that told the husband and wife that they would not like what Andrew said next.

"She ended up with Riddle." Andrew's words were like Thunder in their eyes.

The two had known of Riddle in their youth, they knew about the man beyond the charming front he'd put up in public.

They knew of his cruelty, especially towards Euphemia's best friend Andrea.

Countless nights the two had spent curled up in each other's arms, cursing and wallowing in the misery Tom Riddle had caused Andrea.

"Bu...but how is that possible. Andrea promised me that she would never speak to Riddle again after she caught him with that Ravenclaw prefect."

A bitter smile flooded Andrew's lips. "Well, Riddle managed to persuade her to let that go, and the two ended up together once again after Hogwarts."

"Is Andrea okay?" Asks Fleamont with concern, as he too was once friends with Andrea and Andrew before the two vanished off the face of the Earth.

"She's alive, but it's Caius we worry about." Answers Andrew solemnly.

His purple eyes swim with worry for his nephew.

"And why is that?" Enquires Euphemia.

Andrew hesitates for a few seconds before he finally builds up the courage to speak. "Caius is not living up to Vol... Riddles expectations of his heir. And I fear that if he stays there any longer, his father might do something drastic."

Euphemia gasped, cradling her cheeks with her hands.

Fleamont brows furrowed. "Surely even someone as vile as riddle would not harm his own flesh and blood."

Andrew chuckled scornfully. "There is no one Tom wouldn't harm, apart from himself." Said he with utmost disdain.

Fleamont shook his head, his face scrunched up in disgust.

"What about Andrea will she be okay? Is she okay?" Asks Euphemia.

Andrew nods, albeit not as confidently as she would've hoped. "Andrea will be fine. She know's how to handle riddle."

Euphemia and Fleamont weren't exactly thrilled with his answe, but they knew how trustworthy Andrew is. He wouldn't lie when it came to his sister's safety.

"Anyway, Fleamont, Euphemia. I have something rather difficult to ask of you."

Fleamont raises his arms and shakes his head. "Nothing is too difficult. Ask away old friend."

Euphemia nods in agreement with her husband, wrapping her arm around his seeking comfort after everything she's heard.

"I appreciate you for listening Fleamont, Euphemia." Said Andrew gratefully. "I ask if it is possible that you could take my nephew in while he attends Hogwarts."

Euphemia broke into a smile. "That's it Andrew?" Asks Euphemia almost shocked by how easy his request is to fulfill. "We'd be delighted to have him, won't we Fleamont."

"Of course, Of course." Added Fleamont quickly. "We'll treat the boy as one of our own."

Andrew boys his head, greatful to his two old friends. "Thank you, you two. You have no idea how greatful I am for your help."

Fleamont waves his hands. "Think nothing of it old friend. We're only happy to help."

A sly smile creeps onto Euphemia's lips. "Now why not tell us about your family Andrew."

Alright big chapter done. Hopefully it wasn't too awful.

Part 1 will be a little faster pace, as this is the prequel. So I won't be going into too much detail about it, and yes this is marauder era.

Hope you guys enjoy this.
