1.The inevitability of death

Death, before I died I used to fear it, but after, I learned to embrace it. I mean "I" embraced it is a strong word. More like it devoured me whole and left me no way of escaping other than being brought back. Brought back to the start, brought me back to a time I had no strength. To a time when I had no control.

Truly the scariest thing about death, isn't its embrace, but that it can't be controlled. It appears as a mother, opening her arms wide to welcome you. But its true nature is that of a never-ending river, one that wishes to consume all that it touches. And the longer you're enveloped by its rapids, the more you change. The more your existence crumbles, your consciousness fades. And your memories wash away in its never-ending stream.

You might be asking yourself how I know this. And you even might have gleamed a bit of the truth at the start of this dreadful monologue. But I promise I didn't say all this simply to bore you, it has a purpose. One that will be slowly revealed to you. Of course thats only if you make it that far.

Lets get to the real story though, or more like rewind to the beginning where it all started. The first time I met my end. And my first journey through the river. May my journey bring you joy, laughter, and tears. If not then so be it. Everything comes to an end, I wish you well in your journey towards deaths embrace.
