Synopsis
In a world torn apart by conflicts between kingdoms, where the dark forces of magic reign supreme, a curse lurked over the Marjan family. A single sin, a forbidden entry into the forbidden worlds of magic, claimed the lives of the father, then the daughter, leaving behind a lonely granddaughter, a hybrid between light and darkness, carrying the ember of revenge in her heart. In the palace of the Kingdom of Sorcerers, where the walls are shrouded in shadows and spirits whisper horrific tales, an irrevocable royal decree was issued: to eliminate the last of the Marjan lineage. But the Crown Prince, sent to carry out the sentence, found himself captive to eyes burning with hatred, and a heart that concealed painful secrets behind its cruelty. Between a desire for revenge and a forbidden love, the threads of fate intertwine, and the forces of evil and darkness clash. The king falls, the throne shakes, and a buried secret comes to light, revealing a betrayal hidden deep within the palace. Who will win this fierce battle? And who will pay the price for the mistakes of the past? . . Written by me, Nourhan Ben Mohammed. I own all copyrights, and this novel is my imagination. The room was bathed in a dim light from a magical lamp hanging from the ceiling. Eithlyn sat in front of the mirror, running her fingers gently through her long hair. Suddenly… a loud knock on the door shattered the silence.

She asked curiously,

"Who's there?"

A strict voice answered from outside,

"Milady, your uncle the king is calling you."

She sighed as she rose, smoothing her lavish royal dress:

"Very well… I'll come."

She walked through the dark corridors of the ancient palace, its walls whispering a history soaked in magic and blood. When she reached the grand hall, she found her uncle Scar sitting on the throne, his crown gleaming under the torchlight.

He ordered the guards sternly,

"Leave us… this is a matter for my brother's granddaughter alone."

Eithlyn stood firm, her gaze unwavering, her confidence unshaken:

"Yes, uncle. What do you want? Is something wrong?"

Scar smiled, a heavy smile tinged with sorrow as he rose from the throne, his steps circling her like a predator around its prey:

"My little one… the time has come for me to fulfill my promise to my brother, Marjan."

She raised her eyebrows in curiosity and anxiety,

"And what was that promise?"

He stepped closer, his voice dropping into an ominous whisper:

"First… you must know that your grandfather and mother were killed… and I was the one who killed them."

Eithlyn gasped, her balance faltering for a moment:

"What are you saying, uncle?! Impossible… you must be joking!"

He smiled coldly, his eyes hard:

"Do I look like I'm joking?"

She froze, his gaze piercing her conflicted face. Then he continued, a cunning fox baring its teeth:

"I killed Marjan because he dared to cross the line, entering forbidden black magic. I killed your mother… because she carried that tainted blood in her veins. I killed her before my brother's eyes, then I killed him too. And I promised him before his death that I would end his granddaughter's life… when she came of age."

She stepped back, hands trembling:

"No… no, this is impossible! You raised me as your daughter, and now you tell me you were only waiting for the moment to destroy me?!"

He replied with deadly coldness:

"You know I never break my promises. And before your death, I want to know… what is your last wish?"

Her eyes burned with tears and anger:

"My last wish?! Who told you that my grandfather practiced black magic?! His blood is purer than your rotten intentions!"

He laughed maliciously, then leaned toward her as if to whisper a secret:

"Your grandfather dived into forbidden arts. His blood merged with the black virus. You carry that curse… and the punishment is singular: execution. All his lineage must be erased… and the king is the one who issues the sentence."

She gasped, staring at him:

"And who will execute me? You?"

He waved his hand dismissively:

"Me? No… the Crown Prince. Kian will carry out your sentence."

Her eyes widened in shock:

"Kian?! Does he know? How did you hide all of this from him?"

He replied dryly:

"He doesn't know… but he will soon. I will issue a royal decree, and he will have no choice."

She screamed, roaring:

"You fool!"

Scar growled: "I've endured your arrogance long enough, but the hybrid inside you… is the greatest threat. Nadine, your imaginary alpha, made you think you were above the throne."

Eithlyn shouted, her voice trembling:

"I am not what you think! I am Marjan's granddaughter, my blood is purer than your malice, and you will not dictate my fate!"

Suddenly, her aura intensified and the glow in her eyes shifted… that terrifying golden gleam appeared.

Nadine's deep, mocking voice echoed: "Finally, the truth is spoken… I am the Alpha here, not you, old man. King or sorcerer… it doesn't matter. What matters is that I can tear you apart with my claws if you don't step back."

Scar stared at her, smiling wickedly, unmoved:

"Here comes the truth… I did not endure Eithlyn, I endured you, Nadine. But the king's patience is running out, and the throne cannot tolerate a werewolf pretending to be the alpha among the sorcerers. Let me remind you, this is the Sorcerers' Kingdom, not the wild wolves' domain, and it will never bow to you."

Nadine roared, her claws shining as she lunged:

"I'll show you who the alpha is now! You will see how my aura will subdue you!"

Before she reached him, Scar raised his hand and cast a spell, freezing the guards.

Nadine roared, while Eithlyn's face flashed between anger and despair:

"You traitor… you will pay, you… and the throne itself!"

The guards dragged her struggling body down the dark corridor.

Nadine continued to roar within her, trying to break the spell.

Her golden eyes flared then dimmed with each step.

Eithlyn cried inwardly: "Stop, Nadine! We gain nothing now."

But Nadine, in her raspy, furious voice: "Silence! I won't let an old man like him break me… I am the Alpha… the Alpha is not herded like sheep!"

A guard shouted: "Be quiet, prisoner, or I'll gouge your eyes!"

Suddenly, the place trembled with Nadine's fierce tone: "Try it, and you'll see how the alpha's claws pierce your heart before my eyes!"

The guard shivered for a moment but gripped her tighter and continued dragging her.

At the end of the corridor, Lucie stood with a tense expression, eyes shifting between Eithlyn and the guards.

She said in a hoarse, angry voice: "Leave her! Didn't you hear? Kian will turn the kingdom upside down if he knows what you are doing!"

The guards ignored her, one pushing her roughly with his shoulder, causing her to fall to the ground.

Nadine roared within, trying to break the chains: "Let me out… I'll tear them apart, one by one."

Eithlyn responded fearfully: "If you go now, we'll die. No time for risks… let me think."

They entered the cold dungeon, threw her to the ground, and slammed the heavy cell door.

Eithlyn fell to her knees, her eyes returned to normal, but her breathing was uneven, and Nadine's voice still thundered within her:

"This is not a prison for me… I am the Alpha… no chain can stop me…"

She lifted her head toward the darkness bitterly:

"Uncle Scar… I think you forgot something… the Alpha is not executed, the Alpha executes others."

The sound of steady footsteps approached along the damp stone corridor, each beat like war drums.

Eithlyn peered through the iron bars, her heart tightening before she saw his face.

It was Kian… the Crown Prince.

He stood before the cell, his shadow covering half the room, his dark eyes swinging between anger and confusion.

He said in a hoarse but strong voice:

"Eithlyn… is what Scar said true? Is your blood… black?"

She raised her head with a bitter smile, the torchlight reflecting in her eyes:

"Is that what you came to ask? Did you come to see if I'm an enemy… or just a puppet waiting to be slaughtered by your hands?"

Kian gripped the bars until his knuckles whitened:

"You know I don't want this… but if your blood is truly cursed… I'll have no choice."

From within, Nadine's voice echoed:

"Kill him now, break the chain before he hesitates… we are the Alpha, not prey!"

Eithlyn tried to control her inner roar, whispering in a trembling but firm voice:

"Kian… have you ever seen me use this blood to scare them? I fought alongside you, saved you more than you know… Marjan's blood is not a curse, the real curse is my uncle's greed."

Kian paused, his gaze shattered as if fighting himself, then said slowly:

"Scar threatened… if I don't execute you myself… he'll kill everyone around me… my friends, the kingdom… Lucie, Alexander… everyone."

She moved closer to the bars, her eyes shining:

"If you obey his orders, you'll kill me… wouldn't that also destroy everything you believe in?"

Kian slammed his hand against the bars in anger, the metallic echo vibrating through the dungeon:

"Gods' curse! I no longer know what is right…!"

Nadine's mocking laughter pierced the silence of the dungeon, slipping out of Eithlyn without control:

"See? Even the Crown Prince is weak against orders… I told you, Eithlyn, if you let me take control, Scar's head would be under my feet now."

Kian stepped back, eyes wide:

"Who… who is speaking through you?"

Eithlyn closed her eyes tightly, trying to regain control, then whispered:

"It's my hybrid side… Nadine. The Alpha who knows no mercy."

Kian swallowed, his face a mix of fear and awe:

"If that power is inside you… I don't know if you are the kingdom's salvation… or its doom."

The heavy doors creaked open sharply, the scent of black incense slipping in with confident steps.

Scar entered, his royal cloak trailing behind him like a serpent's shadow, his eyes relishing the scene of weakness before him.

He smiled cunningly as he approached:

"Ah… how delightful to see the heir and the cursed one in one place. Kian… isn't it time to prove your loyalty?"

Kian turned slowly, his tone fiery:

"I will not make myself a killer just because you decided her blood is a curse."

Scar laughed loudly, striking his staff against the ground:

"Just because I decided? My son, this is an ancient law, written by our masters long ago. Marjan's blood… is treachery itself."

Eithlyn cut him off sharply, her voice a mix of anger and Nadine's growl:

"The law was written by traitorous hands, to justify your greed, old man! You killed my mother… you killed my grandfather… and now you want to kill me to wash your sins?"

Scar's eyes gleamed, he approached until the bars separated them:

"No, to prove that I am the king who shows no mercy. You'd better enjoy your last moments, for in a week… the Crown Prince will stand before the entire kingdom and tear your head from your body."

Kian shouted in anger, his fist raised as if to strike the king:

"I will not let my hands be stained with her blood! If you want her dead, do it yourself!"

At that moment, Nadine roared from within Eithlyn, her dark red aura rising, claws appearing despite the magical restraints:

"Try it, old man, and you'll see how the hearts of kings are ripped out!"

The air trembled, even the walls seemed about to collapse under the pressure of her power. The guards in the corridor panicked, some stepping back unconsciously.

Scar did not move, only smiling more wickedly:

"Here the truth finally appears… the hybrid with an Alpha and black magic… a mix created only by hell."

Then he turned to Kian, eyes challenging him:

"You see it yourself, my son. Now tell me… do you think she deserves mercy? Or was I right?"

Kian breathed heavily, torn between what he sees and what he feels.

He looked at Eithlyn—or rather Nadine clinging to her—and then turned away, leaving the cell without a word.

Scar laughed his booming laugh, while Eithlyn bit her lip until it bled, and Nadine whispered inside her:

"See? Even he won't stand with us. Let the power be mine… and Scar won't live until dawn."
