Axel didn't even have time to analyze what the dream had meant. The moment he lifted his head and recognized who had been calling him, every scattered thought snapped apart and left nothing behind.
Alpha Norman was standing there.
Axel froze at the realization.
He hadn't seen the man in the academy for days, long enough that Axel had almost started believing that he had some peace for the rest of the months in the academy, even though it wasn't full peace.
And now he was back. Of all times, of all days, of all possible moments, Alpha Norman had chosen this one, the days which Axel was in the worst place.
Axel almost screamed inside his own head. This was the worst timing imaginable. Every single time Alpha Norman appeared, it felt like fate itself was lining things up just to make sure Axel was caught doing something wrong.
Even when he wasn't actually doing anything wrong, it somehow still turned into a problem.
The man had a way of dragging mistakes out of him.
