Chapter 303 - Borsalino, You're in Deep Trouble!

Diarmuid was stunned for a moment, and then his expression quickly turned serious.

"Big Mom?" Diarmuid asked in a low voice.

"I haven't found out yet. I just discovered this myself, but considering the current situation in the New World, if it wasn't done by Whitebeard, then it's highly likely to be the Big Mom Pirates or Kaido..." Stussy quickly replied.

Diarmuid's mind worked fast, and in the blink of an eye, he thought of Jam Island.

If this trap has been set for more than two months...

No, it should definitely be said that it has been set for more than two months. The Double Whitebeard Alliance Fleet has been continuously victorious in the waters of Totto Land, forcing Charlotte Linlin and Kaido to keep retreating. Now, both sides have cornered each other on Eastern Long Island.

Combining that with the current situation, Diarmuid felt it was very possible that Charlotte Linlin had buried many Dyna Stones on Jam Island, just waiting for Newgate to come up and unleash his "great divine might."

With the Dyna Stones and the combined efforts of Charlotte Linlin and Kaido, they might genuinely be able to take down Whitebeard in one fell swoop!

"It can't be Whitebeard who did it. That old man's personality isn't that underhanded; he likes to do things honorably. Moreover, if he really did something like this, Smoker would absolutely have received intelligence," Diarmuid said after thinking it over.

"So, what do we do now?" Stussy asked.

Diarmuid was also in a tangle. He had considered the possibility of Whitebeard falling into a disadvantage, as a trap set by the combined forces of Kaido and Charlotte Linlin should have some chance of success...

...But he never thought Whitebeard might actually die there.

"I haven't figured it out yet... Let me think. If nothing unexpected happened, Newgate should have already landed on Jam Island. Whatever I do now is too late," Diarmuid said, sounding somewhat helpless.

After a slight pause, Diarmuid asked again: "Who is responsible for the flow of Dyna Stones out of circulation?"

"I don't know," Stussy replied, equally frustrated.

The Dyna Stones in the New World have always been managed jointly by the CP agencies and Marine Headquarters.

On the Navy side, it's the Special Science Group that's responsible, and on the CP side, it should be CP-0, right?

Diarmuid wasn't exactly sure.

That's right, even as a Marine Admiral, he hadn't paid much attention to the Dyna Stones issue.

On the one hand, it wasn't his responsibility. It was obvious that the Dyna Stones were previously managed by Fleet Admiral Kong. After Fleet Admiral Kong was promoted to Commander-in-Chief, it must have been Borsalino, the head of the Special Science Group, who took over this task.

So, if nothing goes wrong, Borsalino is going to take the fall for this one.

"Investigate, this matter must be investigated thoroughly," Diarmuid commanded.

"You don't have to tell me, I'll investigate. But the political baggage for this is too huge. Whoever's fault it is, it's theirs. I can't take the blame," Stussy said cautiously.

She was worried that Diarmuid might arrange for her, a big shot from the CP agency, to take the fall for Borsalino.

Diarmuid couldn't help but be amused by Stussy's cautiousness. He couldn't resist saying, "Relax, I'm not that much of a scoundrel. Whoever's fault it is, it's theirs... However, this matter might be arranged somehow. I'll consider it, but let's investigate first!"

Soon, Stussy hung up the Den Den Mushi and began her thorough investigation of the matter.

At the same time, Diarmuid quickly called Kuzan, Gion, and the others for an emergency meeting.

"The leakage of Dyna Stones through this loophole absolutely could not have been an accident; it was definitely premeditated. Given the situation in the New World, the Dyna Stones are almost certainly on Jam Island. Newgate has probably already landed, and we can't stop him now. We need to quickly figure out how to deal with the aftermath," Diarmuid stated gravely.

Gion, Kuzan, Hina, and Smoker were all stunned.

How could the situation suddenly deteriorate to the point where a figure like Whitebeard might die?

"Seriously, plans never keep up with changes. These three guys in the New World are not to be trifled with," Kuzan said, his expression troubled.

Diarmuid didn't respond, merely waving his hand and saying, "The four of you discuss a course of action and see if there's anything that can be done. I need to go and give Borsalino a heads-up, lest he get his legs broken by the higher-ups."

With that, Diarmuid stepped out of the cabin and onto the deck.

He took out a Den Den Mushi and quickly contacted Borsalino.

Borsalino was probably not busy, as he quickly picked up the Den Den Mushi.

"Diarmuid? How's the New World? You don't need my help, do you?" Borsalino asked with a chuckle. Judging by his tone, he probably didn't know about the Dyna Stone incident yet. And why would he? Even Queen Stussy only discovered it by chance.

Without any intention of joking around with Borsalino, Diarmuid said grimly: "You are in deep trouble, Borsalino!"

Borsalino was startled, and then his expression became serious: "What's going on?"

Borsalino and Diarmuid have always had a good relationship, so he wouldn't believe Diarmuid had the heart to joke at a time like this.

" Dyna Stones. The Dyna Stones your Special Science Group is responsible for have been leaking into the black market in huge amounts. Someone is definitely pulling strings. Now, I have reason to suspect that the Dyna Stones are on Jam Island. Given the current war planning, Whitebeard has been lured into a trap set by Charlotte Linlin and Kaido, and he's been drawn to Jam Island. Therefore..." Diarmuid spoke at a rapid pace.

Borsalino's reaction speed was also very quick, and he immediately interjected: "Charlotte Linlin and Kaido might be able to kill Whitebeard?"

"Exactly. This completely contradicts our plan and could potentially lead to the total collapse of the situation across the entire sea. Moreover, the leakage of Dyna Stones is a major incident. If it actually causes such an outcome, you're as good as dead," Diarmuid complained.

Borsalino was now panicking and quickly asked: "Is there any possibility of salvaging it?"

Diarmuid remained silent on the other end of the line for a long time before saying: "Do you have any good ideas?"

The old fox was still an old fox. After pondering for a while, Borsalino hesitated: "Can we define this matter as a top-secret plan of ours, intending to use the opportunity to kill Whitebeard or something? That way, I'll have an easier time explaining the situation..."

"If you tell Fleet Admiral Sengoku that, won't he beat you to death?" Diarmuid cursed.

"Help me out, please," Borsalino said helplessly.

With so many years of friendship, Diarmuid couldn't genuinely leave him to die. If this incident truly caused a huge uproar, Borsalino might have to resign in disgrace.

It could even lead to Mariejois launching an investigation into Marine Headquarters. They absolutely couldn't risk Borsalino's mess destroying the Navy's excellent momentum.

What if the investigation into the Dyna Stones didn't uncover anything but ended up revealing the Navy's long-term hidden plans? That would be truly embarrassing.

Therefore, this was not just about saving Borsalino; it was also about saving himself and the Navy.

"You really are..." Diarmuid wanted to curse Borsalino, but he didn't know what to say.

"Consider it that I owe you one. You're saving my life!" Borsalino didn't dare to be ambiguous.

"Alright. You first draft a vague operational plan, with content involving the New World and Dyna Stones. Then, see if you can persuade Fleet Admiral Sengoku to file this plan in the archives from two months ago, as if it had been filed previously. I'll do my best to set the stage for you on my end. If we can stabilize the situation, or even turn it to be advantageous for the Navy and Mariejois, perhaps we can clear your name," Diarmuid said solemnly.

With no better option available, Borsalino could only agree to this arrangement, quickly replying: "Okay, I'll get right on it. Thank you."

Hanging up the Den Den Mushi, Borsalino sprang up from his office chair with a curse and quickly contacted his aide.

Meanwhile, Diarmuid returned to the cabin and looked at Gion and the others: "Well?"

"Not well," Kuzan shook his head.

Smoker spoke up: "We managed to contact a fellow named Teach in the Whitebeard Pirates. He said Newgate has just landed on Jam Island..."

"Did you tell that Teach everything?" Diarmuid's eyes lit up.

Teach is a capable man. Diarmuid couldn't control the situation on Jam Island directly now, so he couldn't rely on going there himself to arrange anything.

But if Teach could pull off some clever maneuver in that situation, he might genuinely be able to save Whitebeard's life.

So, would Teach save Whitebeard?

He definitely would. If the Whitebeard Pirates collapsed, Teach's dreams would collapse with them. He might even be purged by the Big Mom Pirates and the Beasts Pirates, Dark-Dark Fruit and all.

Without Whitebeard's banner, he would be in a very tough spot.

He absolutely couldn't afford to lose Whitebeard's banner right now.

"Of course. He said he would notify his old man..." Gion said.

Diarmuid nodded, then said: "Then let's proceed with this for now. I roughly have a plan. The immediate priority is to rush to Jam Island and see if we can help Newgate salvage the situation somehow. Then, we absolutely must crush Kaido and Charlotte Linlin. At this point in the war, we cannot lose. If we lose, this matter cannot be suppressed. If it can't be suppressed, Mariejois will certainly send people to investigate. The CP side, Stussy, will also be implicated and unable to cover for us. At that time, we might genuinely have to turn against Mariejois, which would greatly harm the Navy's interests. Fleet Admiral Sengoku will also be in a difficult position. Therefore, we must win!"

"And then?" Kuzan asked, a little confused, not quite understanding Diarmuid's meaning.

"Simply put, the Dyna Stones were meant for us to cause a three-way mutual destruction between the Big Mom Pirates, the Beasts Pirates, and the Whitebeard Pirates. They were intentionally leaked. So, as long as we truly bring about that three-way destruction, the report is whatever we want to write, isn't it?" Diarmuid said gravely.

Kuzan, Gion, and the others were stunned for a moment, then nodded in realization.

That made sense...

As long as the outcome wasn't too disastrous, as long as the whole world wasn't set ablaze, then if the Navy's predetermined goal was achieved, they could indeed team up with Stussy to twist the facts and bury the issue of the leaked Dyna Stones.

As long as Mariejois didn't pursue it, the Navy wouldn't be exposed, and the matter would be resolved.

This countermeasure was purely about overcoming cleverness with force!

"At this point, we can't hide anything anymore. Full speed ahead!" Diarmuid exclaimed. Then, he stomped his foot, and a pale purple energy aura quickly spread out.

Subsequently, the entire ship became weightless, and with the sails fully deployed, it began rushing toward Jam Island at an extreme speed under the influence of Diarmuid's ability.

Meanwhile, at the port of Jam Island, Teach rushed down from the Moby Dick in a panic, grabbing a few wounded pirates nearby and shouting: "Quick, get everyone organized and back on the ship!"

After that, he dared not delay any further and chased after Newgate in the direction he had left.

And at this moment, Newgate was silently watching the figure a few sizes taller than himself in the distance: Charlotte Linlin!

In Charlotte Linlin's hand, she was currently holding a person. That person was none other than Marco the Phoenix...

"Mamamamama..." Charlotte Linlin first laughed menacingly, then said: "Whitebeard, old man, you've come after all."

"Linlin..." Newgate softly murmured, and then his eyes flashed with fury: "Are you challenging me?"
