Chapter 2
It's Friday night. Frankie, the head of the family, took a sip of coffee. He was fresh from work. He read the paper and then looked at the clock. It's 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Trevor's camping time is over. Hmmm…
His wife is going to pick up Trevor. He just got his car fixed from the damage he got after the long planned date with his wife in the woods.
Someone rang the doorbell.
He tried to see but no one was around. He tried to read the paper again. But another ring came….confused. he opened the door and saw no one from eye level. He looked around his neighborhood. Still saw nobody. He was about to close the door, but someone's tight grip on the door had it remain open. Then it was followed by a tug in his pants.
He looked down and saw their pretty white cat named Snowflakes. He was about to pick up snowflakes from the floor thinking it just needed some treats after some walks around the neighborhood. However, snowflakes spoke to him in a scary tone. "Hello Frankie!".... He couldn't believe his eyes and just dropped flat on the floor which made a loud thud. I mean, their pet knows how to speak human!!... Who would not react that way.
He doesn't know how long he was out. What could have cause him to faint again was when he realized that he and his wife were tied to their kitchen chairs by nobody but snowflakes. How could a housecat do this to his furmom and dad? He was about to lose consciousness again…but snowflakes prevented it from happening again by splashing some water in his face whilst saying
"Don't cha sleep on me Frankie. You need to listen to me."
Frankie tried to keep himself awake as much as possible. He tried to touch his wife's hand as they were tied next to each other since she was already crying from the overwhelming situation. He gave her a comforting look since their mouths were taped.
"Now who wants fish?!!..." Asked snowflakes while raiding their fridge. Snowflakes raised the salmon he found in the freezer. He licked the fish , paused ,looked at the couple and said,"from this day on, you only say nothing but meow. Youre gonna know what it's like to be me. " He jumped from the kitchen counter and sat in front of the poor couple. He took out the emerald and held it right before their eyes. " Animals and humans not alike. Let them humans feel what it's like!"
The sky turned gray. There was a heavy downpour.
