Synopsis
In Agatha’s world, only Alpha's are allowed to rule, but she isn't ready to accept that.   Agatha was born a secret, a bastard child of Alpha Logan, cast aside and hidden from a pack that never wanted her. At just five years old, she witnessed her mother’s brutal execution, ordered by Luna Sandra, the Alpha’s vengeful wife. That day, Agatha made a vow: she would return, not as prey, but as a predator.   Years later, the kingdom declares the Alpha Trials, an elite, male-only competition to decide the next ruler of the Silver Pack. Disguising herself as a warrior named Bernard, Agatha enters Silver High, determined to win the throne and avenge her mother’s death.   But her path is far from simple. Three powerful contenders, Pete, the silver-tongued strategist; Phil, the hardened fighter; and Roman, the heir with a secret, begin to stir something deeper within her. None of them know the truth: their fiercest rival is also their fated mate.   As trials grow deadlier and her secret teeters on the edge of exposure, Agatha must choose between revenge, love, and the destiny she never saw coming.

Chapter 1 - The Night Of Betrayal

Agatha's POV

"Alexandria, I hereby sentence you to death bybeheading..."

It was the worst night of my life.

I stood in the shadows, my eyes wide open, and the fear thatI was feeling inside me was enough to make me scream.

So I cupped my mouth with one palm and tried to keep itshut.

The guards dragged my mother and dropped her at the feet ofthe man I knew as my father, and his wife. His name was Alpha Logan, and shewas called Luna Sandra.

She had always hated my mother and I, for some reason that Icouldn't figure out. Maybe it was because of jealousy.. Maybe it was somethingelse.

"My lord, give your order and let the guards take thisfilthy woman away from my presence," said Sandra, as if the mere sight ofmy mother irritated her.

What order was she talking about? My mother had certainlydone nothing wrong to deserve what she was getting.

"What is this, my lord?" my mother asked, as sheraised her head to look at both of them.

"Tell me something, Alexandria," Alpha Logan said,as he leaned forward a bit. "How many sexual partners have you had in thepast few months?"

My mother was silent for a minute there. Then she answered,"Sexual partners?"

"You heard me!" Alpha Logan snapped, making herflinch. I even felt myself jump at his outburst.

The man called Alpha Logan was my father, but he neverreally showed much love towards my mother and I.

I was his child, but that happened when mom had a one nightstand with him. So she wasn't fit to be called his Luna. Instead, Sandra tookover that very position. Since then, we have lived apart from him. And mymother had raised me, not to hate Alpha Logan, but to understand that men ofhis status always did things like that.

"I haven't had any man, my lord. No one apart fromyou," my mother finally said.

"Are you really sure about that?" Alpha Loganasked. He didn't seem to believe what she was telling him.

"Yes, my lord."

"Do you know what the consequences of lying to meare?" Alpha Logan asked, and I didn't like his tone. It sounded as if hereally didn't believe my mother and was already convinced that she was tellinghim a lie.

"Of course, my lord. Why would I lie to you? I havenever slept with another man apart from you, my lord. No one else!"

I believed my mother. I knew that she was telling the truth.

At that point, Luna Sandra whispered something into myfather's ear.

I couldn't hear what it was that she said to him but when helooked at my mother again, his face was firm.

"Alexandria, I have found you guilty and herebysentence you to death by beheading!"

"Guilty of what? What crime have I committed?"

"The crime of adultery!" Alpha Logan said.

"I have already told you that I haven't had any otherman since you, Roy!" my mother said, and her voice was breaking in tears.

"But it is a lie, isn't it?"

My mother threw herself at his feet and her body shook withsobs. I couldn't even hold myself anymore. I ran out from my hiding place andwent straight to where she was.

"Mom!" I cried out.

I got her attention and she caught and held me close as wemade contact. I didn't really understand what was happening. I was only sevenyears old at the time.

"Mom, what is happening? Why is father angry?"

My mother was crying so much that the only thing I heard hersay was, "Be strong, Hae."

"Get her out of my sight!"

"No! Leave her alone!" I shouted at the guards. But they just shoved me aside as if I weighed nothing.

The guards dragged my mother out of the Silver Pack hall. Iknelt before my father and Sandra. "Please, don't hurt my mom."

But they both looked at me as if I didn't even matter. Soon, they both stood up, holding hands and followed the guards. I had no otherchoice but to go with them.

Outside, in the courtyard, I saw my mother kneeling at thefeet of the terminator. Her face was stained with tears. She mouthed at me,"Be strong, my moonbeam."

He gave one look at Alpha Logan, who raised his hand andbrought it down in a chopping motion.

I watched at the blade fell, and my mother's head rolled offher body.

I had never seen anything like it, but I had a feeling thatmy mother was gone and that I would never see her again. That very feeling ofloss and the scent of her blood brought out my wolf.

"Restrain her!" Alpha Logan commanded.

The guards were all around me in seconds and there wasnothing more my wolf could do, as they were all stronger.

They dragged me out of the courtyard. I didn't know wherethey were taking me to. The sun outside was already going down. My wolf wasscreaming inside of my head but I could not do anything. Soon, I calmed down.

By the time I realized it was the dungeons they were takingme to, I knew that my life had suddenly taken a wrong turn.

"Open the door!" one of the guard shouted at thejail warden.

"Are you deaf? I said open the prison gate!"

I looked. Surprisingly, the warden didn't move to open thegate. Instead, he moved towards us. Next thing I knew, the guards were cryingand rolling on the floor.

The warden knelt before me and said, "I have saved you,do one thing for me."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Someone who cares."

"What should I do?"

"Live and make then regret this. Now, go! Run away fromhere and don't you look back!"

"What about you?" I asked.

"Don't worry about me! Save yourself!"

I took a different way and ran out of Silver Pack castle, and out of the pack for good.

It was getting dark but when I looked at my hands, I saw theblood of my mother. Maybe my eyes were playing jokes on me because I hadn'teven gone close to her.

Either way, it was enough to remind me of what I had leftbehind. And of what I needed to do.

To live and make them regre
