Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – Temptation Unleashed

The office was dark when Ava finally shut her laptop, the last traces of sunlight fading behind the towering skyline. She had stayed late, convincing herself it was for work—but deep down, she knew it was also because she couldn't stop thinking about Adrian Black.

He had dominated her thoughts since their penthouse encounter. Every glance, every touch, every word replayed in her mind, leaving her restless and craving him in ways she wasn't ready to admit.

A subtle click behind her made her jump. He was there—leaning casually against the doorway, arms crossed, eyes gleaming with that infuriating mixture of amusement and command.

"You're still here," he murmured, voice low and deliberate. "Working late… or avoiding me?"

Ava pressed her lips together, pretending to focus on her screen. "I'm finishing up. Purely professional."

He took a slow step forward, the scent of his cologne enveloping her. "Professional, huh? Interesting. Because the way your pulse is racing says otherwise."

Her chest heaved. She couldn't deny it. He had a way of seeing everything—the smallest betrayals her body gave away, the rapid flutter of her heart, the tension in her limbs.

"You're infuriating," she whispered, voice tight.

"And yet…" he said, stepping closer, "…you're still here. Still mine. Still trying to resist what you can't escape."

The air between them thickened, electric and suffocating. She tried to step back, to regain control, but he was faster, closing the distance until the faint brush of his body against hers made her knees weaken.

"Adrian…" she whispered.

"Yes?" His lips were dangerously close to hers, eyes locked in a gaze that left her trembling.

"You're impossible," she muttered, though a shiver betrayed her words.

"And you…" he countered, voice low and commanding, "…are exactly where I want you. Right here. Right now. No pretending. No running. No lies."

Before she could respond, he captured her lips in a heated kiss. Slow, deliberate, and consuming, it sent shivers down her spine and made her forget every rational thought. Her hands twisted into his shirt, pulling him closer, surrendering to the overwhelming desire that had been building for weeks.

He pressed her against the desk, hands exploring with calculated precision—her waist, her back, the curve of her hips—each touch igniting fire across her skin. She moaned softly, utterly entranced, completely exposed to him.

"You're mine," he whispered against her lips, voice husky, possessive, and demanding. "All of you. Every inch. Every heartbeat. And I will remind you of it… again and again."

Her body trembled under his touch, mind spinning, pulse racing. Every attempt to resist dissolved the moment he touched her, kissed her, claimed her attention. She knew then that no wall she had built could hold him back. Not now, not ever.

The encounter escalated, hands roaming, lips meeting, breaths shallow and ragged. The office, empty and quiet, became their private world—charged with heat, desire, and the intoxicating pull of forbidden intimacy.

Ava gasped, pressed closer, surrendering to the storm Adrian had brought. He held her firmly, yet with a possessive tenderness that left her simultaneously trembling and exhilarated.

"Adrian…" she whispered, voice barely audible, "…I can't—"

"Yes," he interrupted gently, yet firmly, "…you can. You're mine. And you're going to remember it. Every second."

The tension broke into waves of fiery passion, each moment stretching, lingering, consuming. Time ceased to exist outside their bubble of desire. The city lights beyond the glass were distant and irrelevant. All that mattered was him, her, and the heat that enveloped them both.

Finally, they parted slightly, foreheads pressed together, breaths mingling, bodies humming with shared intensity. Adrian's smirk softened, but his eyes still burned with triumph.

"This… is only the beginning," he murmured. "I've waited a long time, Ava. And now, there's no escaping me. No pretending. No running."

Ava shivered, heart racing, mind spinning. She couldn't argue. She wouldn't. She realized she didn't want to. She was his—body, mind, and heart—and nothing would change that.

As she left the office later that night, her pulse still racing, she knew one undeniable truth: Adrian Black had claimed her. And she was utterly, irreversibly caught in his storm.
