Today did not go according to plan.
Not even remotely.
Everything started falling apart the moment Andre snapped at his father and stormed out with Elena. I thought that would be the worst of it. I thought the chaos would end there.
But no.
Suddenly Dylan was angry too—so angry it frightened me.
I had never seen him like that. Not once. Not even when he was tense, or cold, or distant. This was different—raw, unrestrained, violent. A part of him no one in this room had ever seen. A part, I realized, he probably thought he had buried.
When he lunged at Derrick, Avie gripped my hand so tightly her small fingers trembled against mine. Ana clasped both hands over her mouth, her eyes wide with horror. They shouldn't have been seeing this. I shouldn't have been seeing this either.
