He wanted to leave. He didn't wish to stay there with Sunmin. But before he could speak, Mr. Han spoke.
"Aren't you going to come in? The food is getting cold," the middle-aged man said, adjusting his glasses.
Jaehyuk hesitated, still standing there and staring. It was clear that he didn't wish to sit down with Sunmin there.
But before he could even do anything else, the door opened and someone else walked in.
"Sorry I'm late, there was some traffic," Jiya, Jaehyuk's mum, said as she walked in.
She turned to look at Jaehyuk, who was clearly shocked to see her.
She smiled. "You're already here. Come and take a seat; it's been a while since we had a meal together," she urged, but Jaehyuk stared at her, confused.
He never expected to see Sunmin, and now his mother—or ex-mother. Two people whom he didn't wish to see anytime soon. But they were in the same room with him at the moment.
"What's wrong? Why aren't you coming in?" Jiya stood before him.
