[Marvel: I Come From Dragon Ball]
[At age 15, with Minister Chōri's recommendation, the provincial capital of Longxi was renamed Anvale City, and you officially rose to its Governor.]
[But fate is ever fickle. In that same year, the old Emperor passed away—and to everyone's surprise, the throne fell to the least favored "Little Princess," Furina.]
Reading this memory, Akuto's expression froze.
"Wait, her name is Furina? Furina… the Hydro Archon Furina from Genshin Impact?"
He had seen the portrait. The young Empress looked exactly like Furina—same face, same aura.
"And if I recall, the imperial regalia and robes she wears are French-styled too."
"French, the 16th ruler, looks like Furina… talk about overloading the buffs."
"This setting feels like it was made to get her head locked in a guillotine."
Shaking off his brief stupor, Akuto continued to absorb the memories.
[As regimes shift with emperors, Minister Chōri chose to retire after the coronation. But before leaving, he strongly recommended you to General Budo, calling you a man who could carry the Empire's future.]
[The new Grand Minister, Honest, seized power under the young Empress, looting the Empire and plunging it deeper into misery.]
[Anvale City was one of the closest provinces to the Western Kingdoms. To expand trade, you personally journeyed west.]
[There, a songstress named Kosmia tried to entrap you. Unfortunately for her, even with a newly-acquired Teigu, she had no resistance—you captured her with ease.]
[At 16, the Minister coveted your Teigu-repairing craft and demanded you turn it over.]
[You refused, stating only you could restore broken Teigu and Shingu. The Minister grew enraged, dispatching Imperial Assassins against you.]
[But by then, your strength had reached High-class Devil. Even the Empire's assassination squads could not touch you. After a grueling fight, you drove them back.]
[Yet it wasn't just the Empire—another group had marked you: the assassin syndicate Oberge.]
[For your crop-yielding techniques—capable of tenfold harvests—they allied with the Empire's Elite Seven, each seeking gain.]
Akuto frowned. "In the original plot, the Elite Seven and Oberge assassins slaughtered each other. Here… they teamed up against me?"
Of course. Agricultural miracles were no small matter. Oberge couldn't use them directly—but in rebel hands, they meant swift growth, resources, and Empire-toppling power.
"But useless without my arrays. Those seeds only yield tenfold because of my spirit-gathering and rain-forming formations. Plant them in barren soil without mana, and in ten days they rot back to normal crops."
[Beset by both groups, you faced an unprecedented crisis.]
[And then—you awakened a new power. A crimson gauntlet appeared upon your arm.]
[The Boosted Gear—Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet. Though Blue-rank by evaluation, its cap was still Maou-class.]
[Donning the gauntlet, red armor covered your body. Your power surged to early Maou-class.]
[With absolute force, you shattered their joint assault and captured several members alive:]
Cornelia, Pony, Tsukushi — companions of Akame within the Elite Seven.
Gin, comrade of Kurome's enhanced assassination squad.
Mera d'Oberge (Mera for short), leader of the Oberge Syndicate.
Barbara (mentor of Chelsea and Myouko) and Myouko herself.
[You conscripted them into Anvale's development. There, they witnessed the prosperity you had built, far from the Empire's decay.]
[Gradually, the younger assassins softened, believing your path righteous. But Barbara and Mera remained obstinate—lounging, drinking, defying your rule.]
[Chelsea, who escaped, returned to rescue her comrades—but upon seeing Anvale's thriving people and realizing you had spared their lives, she revealed herself and pledged loyalty.]
[After training her, you planted Chelsea as a spy within the Revolutionary Army.]
[At 17, the Empire summoned you to court, granting you a nominal title. After settling local affairs, you journeyed to the Capital, bringing Cornelia, Kosmia, and Mera.]
[Cornelia, core leader of the Elite Seven.]
[Mera, Oberge's Queen of Insects, who once defeated a young Esdeath. To subdue her, you spent one Initial Ability slot.]
[Kosmia, the songstress you seized abroad—now a servant.]
[With Cornelia and Mera gone, neither the Elite Seven nor Oberge could cause trouble in Anvale.]
On the road to the Capital.
Akuto paused, digesting the cascade of memories.
Seeing him halt, Mera smirked.
"What's wrong? You were so eager to accept the summons, and now you're hesitating?"
"Don't tell me the fearless man is… afraid?"
"Fair enough. Even strong as you are, you can't beat Esdeath."
"How about this? Let's turn back, raise the banner of rebellion. Once we take the world, half the women are yours, half mine. What do you say?"
She clapped his shoulder like a brother-in-arms.
Were it not for her alluring figure and sultry air, her words might've passed for a comrade's boast.
In truth, though, Mera was the archetype of the deadly queen. If Esdeath was the "Ice Queen" boss of the main story, then Mera, Queen of Insects, was the legendary side-story boss.
Leader of the Oberge assassins, feared by the Empire's assassination corps at Sun-Moon Marsh, she commanded swarms of deadly insects and could even revive herself through arcane metamorphosis.
Her elegance was wrapped in danger: violet-black dress slit high, fishnet stockings, golden chains adorned with insect charms. Long dark hair, beauty mark below one eye, mocking smile—an elegant predator's visage.
But her tastes? Purely women. The stronger the woman, the greater her obsession. Her syndicate was less an assassin guild than her personal yuri harem.
She had once nearly entrapped both Akame and Esdeath: whispering sweet words to Akame as she closed in for assassination, then dueling Esdeath herself and—had she not held back—surely would have won.
Alas, time had dulled her edge. She trained less, indulged more. Against today's Esdeath, victory was uncertain.
Akuto slapped her hand off.
"Mera, how many times must I tell you? Your bugs are useless on me. Still haven't given up trying to infest me?"
Indeed—her shoulder pat was a ploy to seed parasites in his body. But the moment they entered, Leviathan mana incinerated them.
The Akame ga Kill world bred powerful martial bodies, but its energy systems were crude. Even as a Mid-class Devil, Akuto could counter Upper-class Teigu users by sheer mana superiority.
Now, as a High-tier Upper-class Devil, he could rival the likes of Budo even without artifacts.
Still, against Mera's insect horde, mere defense wasn't enough. Last time, had he not invoked his true power, he'd have fallen.
So he prepared contingencies.
His hand clenched slightly.
"Break!"
Mera's heart froze mid-beat. She collapsed, powerless.
After capturing her, Akuto had etched layers of restraints. Even if stripped of strength, he could command her life. Through Leviathan's water sealing her heart, he kept her tethered.
