Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : A Sun in the Shadows

The sky above Shinjuku split apart in a violent explosion of light, a rift tearing open as if reality itself had been punched through.

From that breach, a figure descended — a man wrapped in crimson and blue, his cape burning like fire in the wind.

The sorcerers watching from below whispered in disbelief. They had never seen cursed energy like this… because it wasn't cursed energy at all.

It was Superman.

From the shadows of the ruined street, a curse began to take form. Its body was massive, stitched together from hundreds of twisted faces that screamed in silence.

Black tendrils writhed around it, dripping malice into the ground.

"Khhhhhh… a human… with no curse… how delicious…" it hissed, its voice echoing like broken glass. The ground shook as it lunged forward, claws wide enough to tear through steel.

Superman narrowed his eyes. He didn't understand this world, but one thing was clear — this creature was dangerous.

The curse swung its claw down, shattering the concrete, but Superman moved faster than sight. A streak of red and blue, and suddenly his fist drove into the monster's abdomen, sending shockwaves rippling through the buildings.

The curse screamed, its black form regenerating. Spikes of cursed energy shot out like spears, piercing the air.

Superman raised his arm, his skin deflecting them effortlessly. He countered with a blast of heat vision, twin beams of burning crimson that carved through the monster's limbs, leaving molten scars.

Yet the curse laughed, reforming, its voices overlapping into madness. "You cannot destroy what is born from fear itself!"

Superman clenched his jaw. "Then I'll just have to hit you harder."

Superman rocketed skyward, then dropped like a comet. His punch landed square on the monster's core — a shockwave split the ground, buildings trembled, and the curse shattered into fragments of writhing shadows.

For a moment, silence. Superman exhaled, lowering his guard.

But then… the fragments twitched. They gathered back together, forming a broken, half-regenerated mass. The creature's countless faces grinned with eerie delight.

"Khhhhh… strong… very strong…" it rasped, its voices overlapping. A grotesque laugh echoed through the streets.

The monster's form began to sink into the ground, its body dissolving into smoke-like tendrils of cursed energy.

"But hear me well, outsider," it sneered, its voice slithering around Superman like a curse itself.

"You cannot defeat me… not without cursed energy. And in this world… you have none."

With that, it vanished, leaving only silence and a bitter chill in the air.

Superman stood in the ruined street, fists still clenched. His heat vision had burned it, his strength had shattered it… yet the creature survived.

For the first time in a long while, he realized: his usual powers weren't enough.

"Cursed energy…?" he muttered under his breath. His eyes narrowed, determination flashing in them.

Somewhere in the shadows, unseen sorcerers watched. One of them whispered

"If that man can't use jujutsu… he's doomed."

Two figures emerged from the darkness. Superman turned sharply, his cape sweeping as his eyes glowed faintly red.

A massive silhouette stepped forward — a towering panda with calm, intelligent eyes. "I'm Panda," the creature said, his deep voice echoing strangely in the ruined streets.

Beside him stood a boy with silver hair, his collar pulled high over his mouth. His eyes carried sharp focus.

He spoke a single word: "Salmon... Salmon..."

Superman blinked: "A talking… panda? And you—what did he just say?"

Panda raised a paw, almost like asking Superman to relax. "That's Toge Inumaki. His words carry cursed energy. When he speaks a command, reality obeys. That's why he uses food words… so he doesn't hurt anyone accidentally."

Superman's brows furrowed. "Cursed energy…? You're saying that's what I need to fight that monster?"

Panda nodded. "Your strength alone won't work. That thing is born of curses. You punch it, you only scatter the shadows, but the core lives on."

Inumaki's eyes narrowed. His voice was low, but the weight of it made Superman's chest tighten: "…Don't move."

Superman froze for a fraction of a second — realizing the truth of Panda's words.

This wasn't ordinary strength. This was something else.

Panda crossed his arms, studying Superman with sharp, human-like intelligence.

"Listen carefully. Every living being creates negative emotions—fear, anger, doubt. Normally, it just eats away at you. But if you learn to control it, you can shape it. That's curse energy."

Superman tilted his head, his eyes glowing faintly with skepticism. "You mean… I have to weaponize my own anger?"

Panda shook his head. "Not just anger. Everything you bury inside. The key is discipline—channeling it through techniques. That's what we call Ju-Jitsu sorcery."

Superman's jaw tightened. He looked at his own hands—hands that had bent steel, carried worlds, and shattered armies. Yet here, in front of these strange sorcerers, he felt like a beginner again.

"Then teach me," he said firmly.

"If this curse energy is the only way to stop that monster… I'll learn."

For a moment, Panda was silent. His massive frame loomed over Superman, and then he shook his head slowly.

"No. Not here. Not by me." Superman frowned. "Why not?" Panda stepped closer, lowering his voice, his tone almost reverent.

"Because curse energy isn't something you can just 'pick up.' It's not like learning to throw a harder punch. It requires guidance, tradition, and the right place. We learned in a sacred ground… a school built for sorcerers. The Jujutsu High."

Inumaki's eyes gleamed. He raised a hand and spoke softly: "Come."

Panda nodded at him, then turned back to Superman.

"If you truly want to fight this curse, you'll have to step into our world. The University of Jujutsu—our palace of discipline and shadows. Only there will you learn how to wield curse energy without it consuming you."

Superman clenched his fists, a spark of determination in his eyes.

"Then take me there."

Then Panda smiled and said:

"Follow us"
