There is a deadly silence in the room. The door opened by itself, as if a ghost had opened it. Everyone's gaze is directed at the open door. I don't see anyone entering through the open door, but I feel that someone is standing by that door.
Suddenly, one of the men in the room started asking questions as if he were talking to someone, but he was directing the questions at the open door.
"Go where?" he asked.
It took 10 seconds before he asked another question to the door.
"Where are we?"
Again, we did not hear the answer to his question in the room, but from his facial expressions, it was obvious that he had heard the answer.
"If I agree to go, will you let me return home? I need to know if my family is alive."
As with his previous questions, we did not hear the response, but it was clear that the man did not like the answer.
"In that case, I refuse to go anywhere. If you cannot guarantee that I will see my family, I have no intention of leaving this room," the man replied irritably.
The man's irritated face turned into one full of fear. Suddenly, he began sliding across the floor toward next room threw open door. His right leg was stretched out and slightly lifted off the ground, as if it were being pulled by a rope. Desperately, he tried to grab onto something with his hands.
"Please, help me!" he screamed.
The men sitting beside him immediately grabbed his arms to help, but even the strength of two men was not enough to stop him from being dragged.
"Let's help him too," Emily urged me fearfully.
But we didn't manage to grab the man being dragged. A powerful force pulled him into the next room through the open door. The faces of those who remained in the room were filled with fear.
All that was left were the man's cries for help, but none of us in the room had the courage to run through the door to save him.
" Leave the room" I suddenly heard the words. Confused, I looked at Emily.
"Why?" I asked her, but her lost and fear-filled gaze told me that she hadn't been the one to tell me to go through the door.
"Did someone also tell you to leave the room?" she asked.
Emily's question made me realize that it wasn't her who told me to leave. I started looking around, searching for whoever told us to leave, but the longer I scanned the room, the more I began to understand that I had heard the command in my mind.
"Leave the room," the words repeated. The repeated command confirmed my theory—someone was communicating with us telepathically. This explains why the man, who was likely dragged away, was communicating with 'Nothing'.
My gaze dropped to the floor. I no longer know what to believe. Everything surrounding this room could be an illusion. Maybe I'm just dreaming. Panic begins to rise, the dawn of fear gathering in my eyes. The only thought echoing in my mind is: 'Run! Run! Run!' But where? I don't know where I am, I don't know who I'm with, I don't know who is giving me commands through my thoughts, I don't even know if I'm still alive. With every passing second, my heart pounds faster. Panic and stress build up, my hands tremble, and I feel drained of strength. I close my eyes 'Please, I just want to return to reality.'
"Strange, I don't hear a voice, but I know someone is communicating with me. In my opinion, we must follow their instructions." Like a comet, Emily's words pulled me back into reality. I'm not the only one feeling lost, but her courage and determination helped me calm down and look at the situation more rationally. I won't lie—I even felt ashamed of how weak I was compared to a girl who was protecting a child in her arms.
"Yes, I agree," I replied.
The three of us stood up and walked toward the door—toward the unknown.
