Mrs Voss arrived home from her short business-related outing. Her husband had other things to do, so she came alone. The butler took her bag in, and the first person she saw in the dining area was Ethan. He was busy as always, staring at his laptop.
She turned to the butler, with a small smile.
"Take the bag to the room and tell the chef to prepare something light for dinner. It's late already, so I can't eat much,"
"Understood, ma'am,". He lowered his head and walked away with Mrs Voss's bag. She walked her son as she tied her hair into a rough ponytail.
"Is everything alright, Ethan?" She asked and he lifted his head, shocked to see his mother. "You seem quite busy,"
"It's nothing, Mother. I couldn't finish up the work during the day, so I had to finish it before morning," he said.
She pulled a high chair close to him and sat down. She could see the chef already getting busy in the kitchen but the chef was none of her concern.
