In the vasts lands of Sumatra, pranic beasts roam the wilderness. For humans, it is an immense risk to travel through these feral territories. Death is a mercy as pranic beasts kidnap humans and turn them into slaves. Despite the known risk, humans can still be found outside their settlements - each with their own reasons.
Through the thick vegetation, a small group of 6 humans were struggling to survive. Their home had been destroyed by a swarm of pranic beasts. The once trustworthy and powerful border guards were crushed under the sheer quantity of pranic beasts. They had no other choice but to flee.
Still, It was not long since they left their peaceful life behind. None of them pursued the path of a cultivator as the strength the border guards once held was not desirable to all. Now they suffer from their weakness as they cling to hope for a new home.
"Persevere everyone, I know there is another kingdom in this direction. We can be safe there."
Pria saw the fatigue and anxiety in their eyes. It was her who lead their escape from doom. Her husband had told her to escape to a neighbouring kingdom. Sorrow glossed her eyes at this thought…they were his last words to her.
"You say that time and time again! But, here we are sucking on dew drops and eating rotting fruit just to survive."
Before a tear could fall, she heard another shout. Unlike the others who struggled silently, Jero let the world know his frustration. And with each step into the wilderness, his complaints grew more paranoid.
"If a pranic beast dies find us, please kill me. Becoming a slave to those disgusting creatures is worse than death."
"I really should've listened to my family and saved up for an elixir. I can barely do anything with such little prana."
"How long do you think we can avoid seeing pranic beasts? Between the 6 of us, we only have around 60 units of prana to handle a pranic beast. We couldn't even stall the weakest iron grade pranic beast."
It was annoying. Pria couldn't tolerate Jero, but she promised to help all of them. Once they got to the neighbouring kingdom, she would make sure to stay away from Jero.
None of them were aware that something did find them. It was a pranic beast that launched itself with their strong hind legs and clung to the giant trunks with their hooked feet. The way it acted was strange as it showed no intention of ambushing the weak humans. It just continued observing them get closer to another human kingdom.
The pranic beast suddenly screamed as its own spirit container shattered. It died from shock as the pain was far too great for anyone to handle. From its chest area, a bunny shaped creature emerged. For a moment, a ray of light burst out from the creature which hit the group of humans.
This was Pet and within that light was one of many plans Torq would be implementing on Sumatra.
