Synopsis
Two people awaken in a world they don’t recognize — but not in the same place. One opens his eyes to the roar of a bustling modern city; the other to the shimmer of a land filled with knights, magic, and monsters. Both are strangers here, trying to piece together what happened… and why. Their fates converge when they learn of a mysterious Gate — a portal that links the modern world and the fantasy realm. For one, the Gate is a way home, a chance to return to the life they lost. For the other, it’s a threat to the fragile beauty of the world they now call home, and it must be destroyed. The Gate’s power could unite two worlds… or plunge them into chaos. But when ideals clash and choices are made, will these two fight to protect both worlds — or will they become each other’s greatest enemy? "Two worlds, one gate — and two heroes whose dreams could save everything… or shatter it forever."

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 (Benigning)

Early in the morning, still half-asleep, I mumbled into my pillow:

"nahh! its Monday !!!I don't wanna go to school… I hate school… I always get bullied… I wish I could just get reincarnated or something…"

Yeah, that's me. The guy who's probably read too many novels, manga, and manhwa for his own good with a baggiest eye bag that you see. I love fantasy, adventure, saving the world — all that stuff. I've spent years daydreaming about getting transported to another world, living like a hero, and saving kingdoms from destruction.

But reality?I'm the unluckiest guy alive.

Hey! My name's Charles Patrick.Age: 18.Height: 5'8".Status: Single… painfully single.Personality? I'm so shy I'd rather fight a dragon than make small talk.Looks? A decent face — hidden under big, round glasses. The problem? I'm fat. Not "roll down a hill" fat, but yeah… I'm carrying enough extra weight to make gym class a nightmare.

I'm also an orphan, living alone in a tiny apartment where the walls are thin enough to hear my neighbor's alarm clock… and his repeated snooze button assaults. I work six hours a day at a convenience store that never closes and always smells faintly of instant noodles. Sometimes, when my stomach starts singing the song of hunger, I sneak expired sandwiches from the shelves. The owner always catches me. He'll scold me, wag his finger like I'm a kid, but never takes it out of my pay.

Maybe he pities me. Or maybe he just sees something I can't. Honestly, he's the closest thing I have to family — gruff, stingy, but warmer than any blanket I own when he says, "Take care of yourself."

My college life? That's another story. It's an elite school — the kind where everyone's rich, good-looking, and has the social grace of royalty. Me? I got in through good grades, skill in political theory, economics, and administrative management… and government support for orphans. Sounds impressive, right? Wrong. Being fat in a school like that is basically wearing a neon sign that says "Bully me!"

Harassment comes in every flavor — verbal, physical, emotional. I've thought about quitting, but I can't. If I do, the store owner will know something's wrong… and I don't want to see that look in his eyes turn into pity.

That morning, I was dragging myself to school, half-asleep and rehearsing my daily survival plan, when I noticed a black cat crossing the road. Pretty normal.

Then I blinked.

And the cat… wasn't a cat anymore.

In its place stood a breathtaking woman — silver hair that shimmered like starlight, wings like an angel, and eyes so bright I felt like they could see right through me. She raised her hand, smiling like she'd been waiting for me forever.

"Come, Hero," her voice rang like a soft bell. "I will grant your wish. Save the world."

…Eh?

Did I oversleep and wander into someone's cosplay photoshoot?

I blinked again. puff! She was gone.

"WTF was that? Am I dying? Or… did I just read too much manga?"

Then it hit me. Wait… could this be it? Could this be my reincarnation moment?!

"FCK! Maybe this is it!"

I sprinted toward the cat with the biggest grin on my face.

"Holy shit! A lucky cat!!!"

I grabbed it.…Nothing happened.

And then — VROOOOM!!! A truck came barreling toward me out of nowhere.

YES! THIS IS IT! The legendary Truck-kun!

I closed my eyes, ready to be blasted into another world.

Instead —SCREEEECH!!!

The truck stopped just inches from me.

"PUTANG INA MO, BATA!!! NAGPAPAKAMATAY KA BA!?"

I didn't understand all of it, but I knew enough to realize the driver was cursing me for being reckless. The cops came, I apologized, and said, "I was just trying to save the—" cat.

After the questioning, I bolted. No way was I sticking around. But my escape was ruined when I saw familiar faces — classmates and even a few seniors. then it crashes my whole world when i saw my crush saw all everything this is soo hamulating!

Rumors were going to spread. I could already feel the bullying leveling up for the rest of the school year. i want to run away from here!!!! cursing here and there mumbling

"Great. I thought I was gonna be reincarnated, become some overpowered hero, maybe get a harem or two.But nope.Instead, I just got humiliated in the middle of the street.

…Screw that cat.Screw that angel.

Then it hit me — wait, I was still holding the cat?!

This little furball… this thing… was the reason all of this happened to me.Now I truly believed it — black cats are bad luck. Misfortune incarnate. Four legs of pure chaos.

I glanced around. No one was watching.Alright, time to just… gently place this thing into the nearest alley and—

"Meow!"

…Okay, fucker.

That wasn't a normal meow. That was a smug meow.

I froze.The cat… just talked???HUH??

Our eyes met.Suddenly, my chest tightened. My vision blurred. My nose started bleeding like some pervy anime protagonist. Then I coughed — not air, but blood. My whole body trembled like I'd been hit by an actual truck.

And then —

—darkness.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When I opened my eyes, I was lying on the damp ground of a dense forest. My ears rang like I'd just walked out of a rock concert. I tried to stand—

"AGH!"

Pain shot through my leg.I looked down.An arrow. An actual arrow was sticking out of my thigh.

I barely had time to panic before I heard shouting in the distance — the clash of metal, voices yelling words I couldn't understand. My heartbeat spiked.

Wait… what the hell was going on?The last thing I remembered was dying on rough cement pavement. And now here I was — alive — with an arrow lodged in my leg?!

I forced myself to look at my body… and froze.Chainmail.I was wearing chainmail. Like some medieval soldier fresh out of a history book.

Still trying to process it, I grabbed the arrow and yanked."GAAAHHH!"It hurt like hell — but then… my leg started healing. Fast. Too fast.

Okay, so apparently I'm not human anymore? Or I'm on drugs? Or… or I don't even know.

I pushed myself up. My leg still ached, and my whole body felt heavy. My head especially — until I realized I was wearing an iron helmet. I ripped it off and tossed it aside, then frantically checked my body for more injuries.

That's when I noticed the sword on my hip.I pulled it out — and caught sight of my reflection in the polished blade.

"…HUH?!"

That wasn't me.I wasn't an 18-year-old college loser anymore.I was… a middle-aged man. Maybe thirty. Well… at least the face was decent. Kind of rugged, actually.

Before I could spiral any further, the sound of clashing steel caught my attention. Two figures were locked in a duel nearby, their swords sparking with every strike. Then one of them raised a hand — and a crimson light exploded from his palm, shaking the ground beneath me.

I stared, wide-eyed.

This…This definitely wasn't Earth anymore.
