The next day they go to the market and sure enough Leon was staring at those guards, "come on Leon it's time to go home" he grabs him getting ready to teleport "TELEPORT" But wait Dev didn't move "hm what happened?" Stop right there!" a bunch of men in full plate armor run at them, they surround them "what's going on!?" dev shouts, a fat man in fine silk clothes walks up "come with us" Dev reluctancy agreed so they don't cause a scene in public, they arrive in the nobleman's office with a bunch of guards "we have reason to believe you are spying on us and stealing our sword arts" he says with a creepy smile "dad what's going on?" "Hold on boy" they whisper "On what grounds! Dev yells angrily, "our head mage sensed a teleport spell from over, so we sent spies to follow the mana traces and lo and behold that boy using our arts without proper authorization from me Decario Von Selvine, so this time we casted a anti-magic barrier to catch you thieving rats" Dev realized what this meant this was a duke level noble and because of that he has authority to cast the death penalty and in this world what his son has done IS punishable by death. "What do you want" Dacario smiled creepily "I'll give you a choice either be executed" shivers ran down Devon's spine "or I'll be gracious and let you live you give me your son as my concubine" pure silence in the room "what?" He roars as he cuts down dozens of guards at once "what are you doing kill him already!" Dacario commands "Rupture blade!" Devon swings blade down causing the entire castle to crumble "ahhhh!" Dacario and his guards shout, thud! The dust settles "ughhh" Devon gets up "Leon! Where are you" he calls out for his son "over hear dad!" The fall woke him up, as Devon goes to help him, he sees guards getting up one by one the plate armor must have saved them then suddenly SHIK! Devon tries to dodge but gets stabbed in the back by one off the surviving guards he turns around cutting his head off but falls onto his knee "DAD!" Leon screams "its all going to be okay son" he throws his necklace at Leon "the fall broke the anti-magic barrier, activate the shield spell in that necklace it will also alert your mother" He says coughing up blood "DAD I DON'T UNDERSTAND LET ME HEAL YOU INSTEAD" Leon yells with tears streaming down his face "it's too late son and you don't have enough mana to heal this wound, so just listen to me one last time" Leon activates the spell, woop woop woop warp sounds come from the necklace activating the spell, WOOSH a massive shield covers Leon's entire body. Back at home Mar is cooking dinner, WOOP WOOP WOOP her necklace starts lighting up she remembers what devon said "these 2 necklaces were passed down by my grandma in case of one of us in a life-or-death situation you just pour a little mana and it activates a shield for mine and alerts the other, yours" "OH MY GOD!" Mar screams running out of the house heading towards town.
