Chapter 1 - THE HIVE (Rise of the heirs blood)

Chapter 1 the beginning

The wind blew softly, as if the world was at peace—yet there I was, chained in a dark room, unsure of how I'd gotten there. All I ever wanted was a normal life, but what I got was far from it.

When did it all begin? Or better still—how did I end up in such deep trouble?

We were once a happy family: my parents, my little brother, and I. Life was simple, filled with warmth and laughter. Until the day a letter arrived—sealed with a bold letter "H". I heard them whisper it was from the HIVE.

After that, everything changed.

My parents started fighting—endlessly. At first, I thought it was normal. Couples argue, right? But this felt different. Every night, their voices rose in anger, and I would hear my mother repeat the same words over and over: *"I won't let them take my babies from me."*

I didn't understand what she meant. I was only seven. The world still felt safe to me.

Then came my eighth birthday—July 8th, 2015. I remember the cake, the candles, the warmth. I was about to make a wish when a knock echoed through the house. Three men dressed in black stood at the door. My father grabbed his jacket, kissed my forehead, and left with them.

He never returned.

The museum trip he promised never happened. That day was the last time I saw him.

The very next morning, my mother packed our things and moved us to Windwale City. It felt like we were running—from what, I didn't know. But we never looked back.

Now, ten years later... everything makes sense.

"Shine, wake up!" my younger brother, James, called out. "Mom's waiting for you at the restaurant," he added. "She said to hurry!"

"Okay, okay—I'm up!" I groaned, rubbing my eyes.

Life had gone on, like nothing ever happened. Windwale became home, and I made new friends, started over. After getting ready for the day ahead, my phone rang. It was Claire.

(Phone ringing)

"Shine!" she snapped. "Where the hell are you? Don't tell me you're skipping class again?"

"No, silly!" I laughed. "I just need to check on Mom at the restaurant. Don't worry, I'll make it to lectures. Besides, Mr. Grumpy Pants is teaching today—I'd rather not end up on his blacklist."

"At least you're learning," Claire muttered, then hung up.

*At the restaurant:*

"Good morning, Mom," I greeted as I walked in. "How was your night?"

"It was great, baby," she smiled. "I made breakfast—it's in the kitchen. I packed some for James too, but he wouldn't eat. I hope he's okay and not being bullied again. Keep an eye on him for me, alright? Take this to his school and make sure he gets it."

*"Seriously, Mom? Now I have to babysit him at school too?"* I grumbled. "I have a life, you know."

---

*At James' School*

I went straight to James' school to drop off his lunch, just like Mom asked. But when I got to his classroom, he wasn't there.

"Where could he be?" I muttered, scanning the hallway.

Just then, a girl about James' age approached me. Her voice

She leaned in and whispered, "He's behind the boys' restroom. Hurry. He's not safe."

Before I could ask more, she ran off.

Alarmed, I rushed to the back of the building. There, I found James surrounded by a group of boys—his classmates. Peter, the school's infamous bully, towered over him.

Peter smirked and stomped on James' foot. "Oops! Sorry, loser. How's your mama, huh? Still clinging to her skirts?"

His gang burst out laughing. James clenched his fists. "Leave me alone! I did what you asked—why can't you just leave me be? You promised!"

Peter leaned in, cruel amusement in his eyes. "Where's the fun in that? Now take off your trousers. Let's see if you're a man or just another pathetic little boy."

I'd seen enough—and thankfully, I'd recorded everything on my phone.

I stepped out and said loudly, "Hey, losers."

They all turned, surprised.

"I know bullying classmates is your idea of fun. Well, guess what? Beating up trash like you happens to be mine."

They stiffened, but I continued, "Let's not resort to violence today. You've got two choices: one, stay away from James. Or two, try him again, and I swear I'll show the whole world what you really are. I have it all on video. And trust me—I *will* post it."

Their faces paled. Without another word, they took off.

I turned to James, concern flooding my voice. "Why didn't you tell me this was happening? Are you okay? What did they make you do?"

He didn't answer at first. His eyes were full of sadness.

"I reported it," he finally said. "To my teacher. She told the principal… but he laughed. Said it's just how kids play. He didn't care—Peter's dad is rich."

I handed him the lunch. "Go back to class. I'll handle this."

Then I stormed straight to the principal's office. I played the video and looked him dead in the eye.

"If anyone lays a finger on my brother again, I will make sure everyone knows your school is unsafe and unfair. You have one chance to fix this."

He didn't say a word—but from the look on his face, he got the message.

*Later that day*

From that day forward, no one dared to touch James. They were scared of him. Or rather… of me.

"Thanks, big sis," James said with a grin. "You're the best."

"It's okay," I replied, ruffling his hair. "But never let anyone bully you again. Fight back. Hit harder. And do me a favor… don't tell Mom."

James laughed. "I got you, sis."

Then I glanced at the time. "Oh no. I'm late! That lecturer is going to kill me…"

I turned on my heels and dashed out. *To the university.*

"

Luckily I got to the university, just in time , the lecturer came in right after me , Claire said to me where were you? your late, I replied with a smile , sorry an emergency came up at James school , the lecturer called for everyone's attention ,and he began the lectures,

Mean while at HIVE palace

The Queen sat regally in the throne room, surrounded by five elderly men, their white hair symbolizing age and wisdom. Her voice echoed through the chamber in fury.

*"You fools! You still haven't found Bell and her children? Am I surrounded by incompetence? I need them found—*immediately!* Or must I do it myself?"*

One of the elders stepped forward, speaking calmly but firmly.

*"Your Majesty,"* Elder One began, *"these things take time. And may I ask—why such urgency? There are others fit to succeed you when the time comes."*

Elder Two added gently, *"Indeed, Your Majesty. You've ruled wisely for forty-five years. Perhaps it's time to pass the mantle to the younger generation."*

*"Silence!"* the Queen snapped, rising from her seat. Her eyes blazed with fury.

*"How *dare* you question me? What if my sister's granddaughter comes of age and claims the throne? She carries the heir's blood—*true royal blood!* She is a threat, just like the rest of them. They *must* be eliminated."*

Before anyone could respond, a royal guard entered the chamber and knelt.

*"Pardon the interruption, Your Majesty,"* he said. *"We've located them—in Windwale City."*

The Queen's expression shifted into a wicked smile.

*"Finally,"* she whispered. *"Bring them to me."*

*Chapter 2* ( strange visitors )

*After Lectures – Outside the University*

"Ugh, Shine, today was *exhausting*," Claire groaned, stretching her arms. "But can we talk about the way you and Daniel were eyeing each other in class? Girl—just date him already! What's holding you back?"

I rolled my eyes with a slight smile. "I don't need that kind of distraction right now. I'm focused on my grades—I need to keep them up. Besides, I'm not even sure he likes me. He could just be looking for someone to play around with."

Claire gave me a playful shove. "You'll never know if you don't give it a chance. Come on, live a little!"

She glanced at the time. "Oh no, it's getting late. I better head home before I get spanked."

I laughed. "Claire, you're way too grown for that."

She grinned. "Not in a Nigerian home, babe. See you tomorrow!"

*At My Mom's Restaurant...*

I'm back!" I announced.

"Welcome, Shine," Mom replied warmly. "And I heard what you did for your brother."

"I'm sorry, Mom. It won't happen again," I said earnestly.

She smiled. "It's alright. I'm proud of you. Now, let's get to work—customers are waiting."

Business was flourishing as usual, but the atmosphere shifted when three oddly dressed men entered. I whispered, "Who wears suits in summer?" They took some empty seats.

I approached them with menus. "Welcome to Bell's, where the best are served. What would you like to order?"

They browsed silently before the first man spoke. His name, Hay Jones, was embroidered on the upper left of his impeccably tailored suit. "We'd like to speak with the chef. We want something special—off the menu," he said smoothly. "In other words, we want to discuss business."

"Alright," I replied. "She'll be right with you."

I hurried to tell Mom. "Some people want to talk business with you."

"Business?" she asked, hopeful. She quickly made her way to meet them.

Typical Mom, I thought, smiling. But when she laid eyes on the men, I noticed a sudden look of shock on her face.

---

After a long conversation with those strange men, Mom's mood shifted. Fear was written all over her face, and she began dropping things accidentally. She called me into her room, motioned for me to sit, and said, "Shine, listen carefully. We need to leave—they're coming for us."

"Mom! I don't understand. Why are we leaving all of a sudden? What's happening? Please, talk to me," I pleaded.

"Shine, listen," she said softly, "we have to go."

"Why, Mom? What's going on? Who were those men? It's obvious you know them, that's why you're acting this way," I pressed.

She sighed deeply. "I called your uncle. He's coming to take you and James. He'll keep you both safe. You must listen to him at all times.

---

"Mom, stop! You're scaring me," I yelled. "What really happened to Dad that day? This feels just like when we had to flee Brake Hills—someone knocks, and suddenly we're running. Why did he leave without us? Why did Dad abandon us? Mom, please, I need answers."."

Chapter 3 ( run)

Mom took a deep breath and said, "I know you might not believe me, but you have to listen—things aren't always what they seem. Your dad and I come from a hidden world called the Hive."

I interrupted, "Mom, everyone knows the Hive is the wealthiest security organization in the world. They protect the richest and most powerful people, even the president. What does that have to do with what I asked?"

She looked at me seriously. "Physically, it may seem like just an organization. But beyond what the eyes can see, there's another world beneath it—a world not on any map. The Hive isn't just a building with the best-trained men. There's more. The men manage the outside world's business, while the Queen rules from within."

She continued, "It was once our home—a place of wonder and beauty. But it became hell for your father and me. Your father worked for the outside world, and I was a rebellious princess who often ventured beyond the Hive, even when forbidden. Then I met your father. We fell in love, but my mother forbade our relationship. That sparked the war." Mom's voice grew heavy. "The battle began the day I was to be crowned Queen. My mother died mysteriously, and the council blamed me and your father, accusing us of using the Book of Demons to cast spells against them. We were banished, and my mother's sister took the crown. Now, she's after you."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because you carry the blood of the heir," Mom said quietly.

"What about Dad?" I pressed.

"He might still be alive," she replied.

"Might?" I shot back, rising in anger. "Really, Mom? You're telling me this now? I don't believe you—you're lying!" I exclaimed.

"I don't have time to argue," Mom replied, her voice firm. "Listen carefully—I need to tell you something important."

Suddenly, gunshots rang out nearby. We rushed to see what was happening when a man burst into the house, shouting, "Time to go!"

Mom hurried to James's room to wake him. "Mom? What's happening?" James asked, rubbing his eyes.

"It's okay. Go with your uncle," Mom said urgently.

"But what about you?" I asked, panic rising in my throat.

"I'll be fine. Just keep your brother safe. Get in the car," she commanded.

As we climbed into the car, Mom whispered something to Uncle. They embraced briefly before he started the engine, ready to drive off.

Mom gave me a warm hug and said, "Don't forget who you are."

Then—a sharp, unforgiving gunshot echoed.

Mom collapsed, blood blossoming across her dress.

In an instant, Uncle slammed his foot on the gas.

My chest tightened, breath caught, heart pounding. The world spun, darkness swallowed me—and then, nothing.

Chapter 4 ( A strange place called home)

I opened my eyes and found myself in a strange room. My uncle was there beside me.

"She's awake," the nurse said softly.

"That's good news," he replied.

I tried to rise, but the moment I moved, the memories crashed back—the gunshot, Mom's fall, her blood. The flash of it froze me in place, fear gripping my chest like ice.

"Mom is hurt!" I cried, scrambling to sit up.

"Easy, dear. Your mom is fine," he comforted. "They can't kill her. She was taken by the demon warriors."

"Demon warriors? Who—or what—are you talking about?" I asked, confused and scared.

"Don't worry, I'll explain everything. But you need to rest first," he urged.

"How can I rest when Mom is in danger? How can I help get her back? And James—where is he? Is he safe?" I demanded.

"He's safe. It's best you don't know where he is right now," he answered gently. "Rest for now, Shine. There's a lot you need to understand—and a big role you must play to save the Hive."

At the hive royal palace

The five elders grew increasingly impatient in the throne room. It had been an hour since the meeting was to begin, yet the queen was still absent.

"Where is she? Isn't she coming?" Elder 1 asked sharply.

Elder 2 replied, "There must be a delay. Let's be patient."

Elder 4 warned, "You know how the queen is—better not to anger her with your words."

"I've heard she sees and hears everything," Elder 5 added cautiously.

Elder 3 remained silent, lost in thought, aware of what was about to unfold.

Suddenly, Fame, the royal announcer, proclaimed, "Her Majesty the Queen is arriving at the throne room."

It was, after all, his only job—and one he took great pride in.

The elders rose and bowed deeply as the queen entered. When she took her seat, they followed suit.

"I have called this meeting to inform you that I have recruited the demon warriors to join forces with the Hive military," she declared.

Shock rippled through the room. "What?" one elder exclaimed.

"But, my queen," Elder 2 protested, "the demon warriors are infamous for their evil and deceitful nature. The Hive has been at war with them for decades."

"Please, Your Majesty, don't do this," Elder 3 urged. "The Hive will face great peril if the demon warriors become part of it."

Elder 4 added gravely, "They practice demon magic. It could corrupt the very heart of the Hive and undo everything our ancestors built. Think carefully, my queen."

All voices rose in opposition, but the queen silenced them with a sharp command: "SILENCE! Their power will secure my reign forever. Nothing else matters."

Outside the palace after the meeting

Elder 3 was greatly displeased with the queens decision , he murmured all the way home, I need to call the hive military if the demon warriors are recruited it means war .

Chapter5 ( the school)

At the Hive Military Headquarters, Commissioner Jane received a call.

"Commissioner Jane, we have an urgent call from the South. It's John, the son of Elder 3," the officer reported.

"Is it Elder 3 himself?" Jane asked.

"Yes, sir John replied.

"Put him through. You're dismissed," she ordered.

John saluted and left.

Once inside the call room, Commissioner Jane answered, "Elder 3, hello. Is something wrong?"

Elder 3 then proceeded to explain the situation in full.

 At the recruitment ground

A man entered the room and said, "Chief, the Commissioner wants to speak with you."

Without hesitation, the Chief hurried to the call room—a space dominated by a massive screen, the most advanced communication system in the Hive.

"Hello, Commissioner," the Chief greeted.

The Commissioner's voice came through clearly. "Sam, training starts tomorrow. The Queen is recruiting the Demon Warriors. You know what that means."

"Yes, sir. I'm fully aware," Sam replied.

"Get the new recruits ready. And prepare that girl—if she truly has the heir's blood, we need her now more than ever."

"Yes, sir. I'll make sure she's ready. You can count on me."

"Remember, Sam, the fate of the Hive rests in your hands."

"We won't let you down, Commander," Sam assured.

Later that day

Her uncle gently roused her from sleep, calling her name softly.

"Time to wake up."

She stirred and mumbled, "Mom… is that you?"

"No, it's me," he replied quietly. "We don't have much time."

She sat up slowly. "What's going on?"

"We begin your training tomorrow," he said firmly.

"Training? For what, Uncle?" she asked, confused.

"You're joining the Hive military," he answered. "It's the only way to save your mother."

She nodded, determination settling in her eyes. "Then I'm ready."

The next day at the hive military training academy

The entire student body comprising, both old and new student convened at the assembly ground . They were positioned , based on their ranks/seniority

---

"Good morning, recruits and returning students. Welcome to another academic session at the Hive Military Training Academy. For those who don't know me, I am Inspector Fave.

Newly recruited personnel will remain in their current positions; the rest may leave. As you know, you are training to be soldiers. There is no room for weakness or bullying—anyone caught breaking military rules can be expelled. You are expected to learn all 200 rules by next week.

Also, let me be clear: we do not tolerate sorcery or witchcraft. Anyone found practicing these will be sent home. However, many of you have special abilities—some with dangerous powers—and we are here to help you control them. There are books in the library that can teach you more about your powers once you learn what they are."

"Them?" I asked. "Can there be more than one?"

"Yes," Inspector Fave replied.

"One more thing—our training is divided into levels 1 to 5. You must pass levels 1 through 4 to become a soldier. You'll notice a badge on your uniform shaped like a phoenix, symbolizing your progress.

If you have one badge, it means you're in Class One. You can't fake it—passing your exams will automatically add the next badge. If you fail, the badge will disappear, and you'll be sent home, even if you've reached Class Five.

By the way, we haven't had a Class Five graduate in eight years—most finish at Class Four. Good luck, everyone. Training begins now! Everyone to the training ground!"

Chapter 6 ( the elements)

At the training ground

"Good day, everyone. I am Inspector Peace, and along with the other inspector, we will be teaching you how to control nature's elements—water, air, earth, and fire. Training begins now. Take a cup, fill it with water, and stand in any circle of your choice. The rest will be provided for you. Move, everyone."

Once everyone was settled, the inspectors demonstrated the exercises. "Pay close attention," they instructed. In front of the inspectors were representations of fire, water, earth, and air: a candle flame, a cup of water, a rock, and a balloon filled with heavy air—that's why it didn't move.

"This training will help you defend yourself if your weapon is taken," they explained.

Each circle had a table with these items. The assignment was to:

- Remove the water from the cup without touching it

- Enlarge the fire

- Make the stone float like a balloon

- Extract the air from the balloon without popping it

"What? That's impossible! Do they think we're magicians? What is this? I've got to get out of here. These people are crazy. I think I'll have to save Mom on my own," I thought to myself.

Let's introduce you all to the elements and remember don't just control . Be one with it

Fire is the element of power . To be one with it, you must have the desire, will , energy and drive to achieve what you want . As inspector peace spoke the fire responded, not with chaos , but with eerie grace, flickering with rhythm . It slithered upward , bending to her will as though it knew her, without a word she guided it, and the flams slowly twisted into the shape of a radiant , blazing bird that hovered in the air wings flickering, eyes glowing fierce and majestic . OMG is that a bird I asked , It's a phoenix a voice from behind answered , hi my name is Luna she said , am shine I replied . That all for fire the inspector said , and the fire went bak to its original form, did she just made a phoenix out of a candle flame I asked . yes she did, Luna answered .

Next earth, inspector fave will demonstrate. Earth is the element of substance . To be one with it you have to be diverse and strong . Persistent and enduring . As she spoke her voice echoed through the air , the rock began to stir , rotating slowly at first , then faster, as if drawn by her words . The movement deliberate and unnatural . The silence thickened , broken only by a thunderous crack . As it suddenly broke into 3 distinct pieces , leaving us breathless with anticipation . Suddenly , I started seeing things. I saw a woman in chains crying for help, I came back to reality when Luna tapped my shoulder, shine are you ok? She asked. Am fine Luna i replied.

Next Air ,inspector steel will demonstrate. Air is the element of freedom to be one with it you have to detach yourselves from worldly concerns. And find peace and freedom , as he spoke the balloon deflated with a sharp hiss . But the escaped air didn't scatter, it gathered , swirling upward with a tightening spiral. The wind grew fierce , rising higher and higher, until it formed a small tornado . Spinning dangerously above the school . It hovered there . Trembling on the edge of chaos, yet never touched a single tile below. .

Lastly water inspector Nina will demonstrate, water is the element of change, to be one with it you should be capable of adapting to many things . As he spoke the water surge from the cup , not spilling but pulling itself together with fierce energy . It twisted upward gaining speed and shape, until it rose before us, a rising wave silent yet threatening as if it could crash down at any moment . We didn't move. We couldn't . The inspector added If you concentrate more you might make it rain, it's now your turn. Remember if want to use this elements you must act like them.

Many failed some was able to raise a drop of water , few attempted and got half of it right , but no one was able to control Earth and fire

Ok everyone let's take a short break we will be back in an hour inspector fave said , what a relief they murmured ,everyone was so tired,

Mean while at the inspectors meeting

"Chief, are you sure she's the one? She couldn't even control water—the simplest element of all," Inspector Peace said.

Inspector James replied, "Come on, she just got here. Let's take things slow, please."

Inspector Nona added, "But we don't have much time. The queen will sign the contract in three months. Can we get them fully ready by then?"

The Chief finally spoke, "It's fine, everyone. We'll make it work."

Chapter 7 the discovery

At the training ground

I sat quietly, trying to figure out how it worked when Boone and her friends approached me. "I heard you have the heir's blood, but you couldn't even manage water—the simplest element of all," Boone sneered. The girls burst into laughter.

"Leave me alone, I'm trying to concentrate," I demanded.

From afar, my uncle watched closely. "Chief, should I stop them from bullying your niece?" he asked.

"No, don't do anything," my uncle replied. "Let her fight for herself."

Boone didn't stop. After being ignored, she said something that cut deep and really upset me.

"I heard your mom killed her mother with demon magic, and now she's dead because of you. What a messed-up family."

Anger flared inside me, but I just wanted to leave. Suddenly, Boone pushed me, and I fell hard to the ground. Her words ignited a storm of fury within me.

In that instant, the elements obeyed. Water surged, air howled and rumbled, fire roared. They swirled together in a blinding flash, forming a massive bird of raw elemental force.

With a piercing cry, it launched itself at Boone and her friends, wings spread wide, fury unleashed.

But just as it closed in, a group of inspectors appeared, shielding them in the final heartbeat before impact.

The inspectors held another meeting

Inspector Nina Boones mother spoke, she's dangerous we almost got hurt trying to save those kids she attacked .

Chief Sam answered" she was provoked I myself was there , you should teach that child of yours how to stop saying things she shouldn't, but I blame you" chief added .

" You told a false tale to your child, knowing it was false, you should be punished "

, inspector Nina responded "sorry chief it won't happen again". The chief said" and Boone will apologize to shine for bringing her mom's story up ,am I clear?' , Yes chief , inspector Nina answered

Inspector Joy spoke up, "Chief, now we know she really has the heir's blood. She's still in Class One, but what she did—most of us only learned that in Class Three."

"That's true, sir," Inspector Peace added. "I also mastered that in Class Three. Should we upgrade her to Class Three now?"

The Chief replied firmly, "No, not yet. She still doesn't know how to control it. She has a lot to learn."

Inspector Cane interrupted, "Chief, I just received a message from the Commander. The queen will sign the contract in two months."

"Wait, I thought you said three months," the Chief asked, surprised.

"I thought so too, but they've moved the date up," Cane confirmed.

The Chief nodded. "What do we do now?"

"We wait," the Chief said firmly. "She won't sign without the commencement ceremony for the new defense force."

At the Hive Queen's palace

(The Queen is in a meeting with Elders)

---

Elder 5 spoke up, "Your Majesty, please think about this deeply. It's not right."

Elder 3 added, "My queen, we are here to serve you, but you didn't even ask for our advice before making such a decision."

The Queen snapped, "I am the queen! I don't need advice from any of you. I don't even know why I have you all—you're useless!" she yelled. "All of you, leave! I have a meeting with the Commander of the Demon Army now. Come on, old men—leave!"

They reluctantly stood and exited.

A voice announced, "Your Majesty, the Commander of the Demons has arrived."

"Send him in," the Queen replied.

The Commander entered, his face hidden behind a mask. He sat down and said, "Long live the Queen."

The Queen eyed him and said, "You look rather young for a Commander."

He answered calmly, "I am a thousand years old. An immortal never ages, my Queen."

"Never mind," she said. "Do you have the woman with you?"

He smirked, "Yes, we do."

"Any concerns?" she asked.

"Nothing to be concerned about, my Queen," he replied. He answered, "You can reign forever, but your spirit must change hosts every hundred years—transferring into a younger body. And we have the perfect body for you to begin with."

The Queen's eyes lit up. "That sounds fun—I can't wait."

At the Hive military training academy

The bells rang, signaling the start of Hive history class.

"Good day, everyone. I am Teacher Denise, and today we'll be learning about the history of the Hive," she began.

"A long time ago, we lived in peace with the demon people in the spirit world . Our life force was the phoenix tree —an ancient, powerful relic that fueled the entire island. Every child born then was gifted a phoenix companion.

"With the Phoenix's power, we won many wars and expanded our territory. The magic of the Phoenix allowed us to control all four elements at once, making us the most powerful tribe to ever exist.

"But this power angered the Demon King. He began to wield dark magic, which grew so intense it transformed into what we now call demon magic.

"Because of the constant use of demon magic, the Phoenix tree started to weaken—light and darkness cannot coexist. One must give way.

"The demon magic grew stronger while the Phoenix tree grew sick, as its people failed to protect it, using its power for selfish gain. "Bit by bit, the phoenixes on the island began to disappear, not just the phoenix's but every other ancient creature until only one remained—mimosa . Using the last of her strength, she transported us to the physical world, leaving our home behind for the demon kingdom, what was left of her was the egg she laid before she died . It became the hives life's force , and it hasn't hatched till date ."

As civilization hit the Earth and humans started fighting each other , building homes and factories . It became hard to hide our existence , we made an agreement with the men in power then , they agreed to keep our secret if we fight with them , we won the First World War with them , and made an organization called the Hive , an ordinary man will see it as a company, only very few humans knows about us, we hid many things, so the outward world would not know about our existence . We created a portal that can take you to the outside world or the inside, so those in the inside world can be ourselves And yes the Phoenix egg is still with us at the center of the hive . Remember everyone no one knows the real story of how we became the hive

Any questions the teacher asked, Luna raised her hand , yes Luna what's your question this time , thank you for letting me speak again , so what type of business do the hive, sorry the outside world do , Luna asked , it's a security agency the teacher answered. It's an organization that provides security services . Hive is a private organization that provides security to men of power , that's all the outside world knows about us.

We make sure the demon don't get to the outside world, in other words we fight their unseen battles.

 Chapter 8 (him)

"As some of you know, when a child is born, they receive a gift from the Phoenix Egg on their eighth day. After those eight days, you'll discover what you were born to be—the role you must play in the Hive.

"Some are gifted a tattoo of a phoenix—this marks them as healers. Their duty is to serve not only the Queen at the palace but everyone. Healers can also serve in the Hive military as medics.

"If you are born with gray-colored hair, it means you're a seer, gifted with the rare ability to see the future. Seers are extremely rare, appearing only once every twenty years.

"A tattoo of a shield marks you as a protector—born to serve in the Hive military regardless of your family background.

"If you are born with pointy ears, you are a noble. Nobles are natural leaders, destined to lead. Many become chiefs, elders, and some even become Queen.

"Next are the People of Nature, gifted with the Phoenix Flute. They can call upon the spirit of the Phoenix for guidance at any time. The Phoenix always answers, but no one has seen it for a very long time.

The bells rang, class dismissed see you all next week ,

Shine! Luna my classmate called to me , what is it Luna i asked , do u want to join me at the library ? I don't know Luna , am exhausted I replied , come on let's go see history , ok Luna let's go

As we approached the library I heard a sound of music, "uhh Luna where's that sound coming from" I asked

, oh that's the music room she answered,

" wait we have a music room in this school? Really!

Yes we do Luna answered, I want to check it out , ok shine when your done, meet us at the library it's just the next building .

will do I replied

"As I enter into the music room , the sound didn't just echo , it seeped into me, like a living force I could feel each note stir the air , brushing against my soul , yet the true enchantment wasn't the melody, it was him tall light skinned and radiant a quiet fire, he played the keyboard as if conjuring a spell , the room felt charged like the music and the guy is one. When he saw me he stop, smiled and said .

"Hi welcome, my name is Blake".

I replied "nice to meet you Blake, am shine.

I Know he said "everyone knows you ever since the incident with Boone ,you became famous " .

I replied " ohh it was an accident

"It's fine" he responded and went back to playing the keyboard.

Why does the academy has a music room? I asked .

He answered "it's because music has its own power , you can use it to control your emotions, if your too angry it might affect your powers, so music calms the mind , and help you concentrate, so you want to try" he asked .

"Yeah why not" . I sat with him and we spent the whole day together but, it wasn't enough, I wanted more . That was one of my best moments at the academy,

The next day at history class

I was lost in thoughts thinking about blake ,come to think of it I have never seen him before , what class is he in ,

Shine! my teacher called to me,

yes ma'am I answered.

"Are you sure your part of this class " She asked

"Yes I am" I said

"what was I saying then" .

"Sorry, ma'am, I didn't catch that last part," I said.

"Okay, I'll repeat," the teacher replied. "Class One will be teaming up with Class Three for a special assignment. It will take place at the White Garden."

A hush fell over the room. Everyone looked shocked and a little afraid, but I didn't understand why. I had a feeling I was about to find out.

"Everyone, move to the assembly ground now," the teacher ordered.

---

At the assembly grounds, Class Three was already gathered. Class One quickly assembled as well.

"Time to team up," the teacher announced. "If you pick the same number, that's your teammate."

I picked number 35 and tried to find my partner. With nearly 200 people here, it was hard—until someone found me instead.

"OMG, it's Blake!" I exclaimed.

"Blake, how did we end up with the same number?" I asked.

"We didn't," he smirked. "I pulled a few strings—I know a lot of people."

"You cheated?" I accused.

"Nice to see you again," I added.

"Time for classes, Missy. We'll talk later," Blake said, then walked away.

Chapter 9(the keeper)

 The white garden :

At the entrance of the White Garden, I overheard whispers—scary stories about the garden keeper. They said he was a beast.

"Gather around, students! You're about to have the time of your life," Inspector Fave announced.

"But Inspector, what is the assignment?" a student asked.

"We'll find out from the garden keeper," she replied.

"But where is the garden keeper?" the student pressed again.

"Hmmm, let's find out," Inspector Fave said as we stepped inside.

We entered in pairs—two individuals per team. We were the first batch to go in, ten teams in total, making twenty students inside the garden.

The garden was huge, filled with all kinds of animals—wild and domestic—roaming freely, seemingly unbothered by our presence.

Suddenly, a massive eagle swooped down from the sky. Its eyes locked on a tiny chick that had strayed from its mother. Danger shimmered in the air—I felt it deep in my bones. I couldn't let fate decide this way.

I told Drake to cover me just as my uncle arrived. I stepped forward to intervene, but the eagle spotted me. With a screech that split the air, it turned, talons bared, ready to strike. Instinct took over—I had no choice but to fight back. I tried to use the four elements, but being new, it was ineffective.

Everyone was stunned by how I managed the situation. Drake wanted to help, but my uncle told him to back off.

The battle intensified. The eagle knocked me down badly. I tried the elements again—still no success. I was completely defeated.

Then, the eagle created a strong fireball and launched it at me. Suddenly, fire, earth, air, and water merged into a powerful phoenix-shaped force. It stopped the attack and charged at the eagle, knocking it down.

The eagle survived, though—not that I wanted it dead—but it almost killed me.

Its form shifted, becoming a black male with long white hair.

"Excellent," he said. "Shine, I am the Deity of the Forest and also the Garden Keeper."

Everyone was stunned and quickly bow our heads to greet him properly,

"greetings garden keeper "we said in unison .

 Welcome children, he answered.

Chief said "it's been a while Leo ". "This is my niece shine".

Really ?. Leo replied "she truly has the heirs blood , the mind of a warrior and a heart of gold. Welcome shine " .

, inspector fave spoke and said" Leo our students are here to assist in any possible way they can".

Leo answered thank goodness I need all the help I can get and more , he then winked at inspector fave .

 She blushed.

omg , their love birds I said to my self.

Leo said" Students it's time to put what you've learnt to practice, you have 3 assignment but today is far spent . It get dangerous at night here so go back to your dorms and come back tomorrow".

The next day

Each group was assigned with 3 different tasks by Leo , nobody wanted to fail so we worked hard to pass. We didn't finish the first task before inspector peace whispered something into Leo's ear .

He's face altered, he summoned us together , and said due to some crisis , we would call it quit today, till further notice, every one to the assembly ground now .

Chapter 10 The wolf

At the assembly ground

Good day student inspector fave called for our attention . A call came from the Hive prison that the wolf escaped , and now he's hiding somewhere in the white garden . He is known for coursing great harm to everything, including it own kind.

No one is permitted to enter the white garden because, he's known for using demons Magic to feast on your fears . Be careful everyone stay safe , be always ready, we don't know his exact location for now .

 Later that day

At the chief's office

I knocked on his door , come in Uncle Sam answered ,

Good day uncle I greeted . Hay shine what brings you here he asked ,

I replied I have a few questions .

what is it he asked .

So when the inspector said wolf is it like a real wolf or a human wolf , do they really exist? .

He answered . Come dear. The world has the physical world which you grew up in , and the spiritual world which you where born to protect. In this spiritual world anything is possible .

We have spiritual beings some are evil , while some are good. We the hive we don't use demon magic . Others do.

Those beings are of different species, with time you will get to know more about the spiritual world that you belong to . But till then let's focus on saving your mother , and remember the fate of the hive lies on this little shoulder of yours .

I asked "How do we catch the wolf uncle? where do we even begin? Why did he even leave his kind and come here' " ?

He answered "Ok shine one question at a time let me explain, ok ! so this wolf in question is no ordinary one. He is the alpha wolf and he had a pack".

But why did he leave his pack I interrupted.

"Shine let me finish. He had 12 wolves in his pack but he had kill 7 so far "

."why" I asked .

He answered. " he is a power hungry wolf . When an alpha kills one of his own he would be twice stronger, so this wolf is seven times stronger than an average wolf , that's why it's almost impossible to catch him , he came here for you, he can smell power, that's the only thing he lives for , he have power over lesser wolfs but , he knew that all that power will go away after two full moon's so he is trying to kill you and drink of the heirs blood , so he can be strong for ever.

What! I yelled uncle when were you planning to tell me? , after my death ?.

" Calm Down" , he said am just messing with you .

"But why did he come here of all places" I asked.

" No one knows shine , no one knows " he answered

"How is my brother" I I asked .

" He's safe but it's best u don't know where he is , and shine when next you see him he might be a bit older " uncle said

I looked at my uncle and said "may I ask why"?

He answered " we made him a bit older for his own safety "

"Is that even possible " I asked

" in the hive everything is possible " he answered.

I got up to leave , then I stopped , with my hands on the door I said " Any news on mom"?

"No" uncle answered

Mean while at the queen's palace

The Queen said haughtily, to the commander of demons, "why did you send the wolf , I want her alive and everyone knows the wolf is greedy he would want her for himself, don't you get it?" .

The commander replied "Calm down your majesty, I know he won't succeed. I just wanted him to scare her a little bit "

the Queen responded with rage, you're plan better work or it's off with your head , he answered you're majesty take this as a little experiment, this girl is more powerful than you thought.

A week later

At the assembly ground ,

There was a cacophony of voices , silence inspector fave ordered , immediately silence reigned . Our chief would like to address us . :

The Chief stepped forward and addressed the gathering.

"Good day, everyone. As you all know, for the past week, a wolf has been hiding among us—disguised as one of our own. But I'm pleased to inform you that he's finally been spotted… at the White Garden. He hides deep within the Cave of Lions.

We are sending our best-trained students on a special assignment to capture him. We need volunteers. If this mission is successful, those who participate will be credited and rewarded based on their performance.

However, this mission is dangerous. Some of you may not return. So make your choice wisely. Those willing to volunteer—step forward now."

Out of the entire group, only ten students stepped forward. The rest remained still.

"The rest of you are dismissed," the Chief said firmly.

Then, leaning toward Inspector Fave, he whispered, "Have the volunteers assemble at the library—immediately."

Chapter 11 the group

"I'm so proud of you all," the Chief said, his voice filled with pride. "You've chosen to risk your lives to help capture the wolf—an act of true courage. I've reviewed your records… and there's no doubt. You are the brave."

He stepped forward, addressing each volunteer in turn.

"Kira of Class 4—Princess of the West. Like your father, you're a master of combat. You flow with nature, but like the wind, you lack control. Don't worry—we'll fix that.

Blake—you've mastered the art of self-control and patience, a rare strength.

Shine—you're special, and powerful beyond what even you know.

Noel—an exceptional fire student. You're precise and in tune with the elements.

Lee—you possess a brilliant mind for strategy. We'll need that.

Mia, Lain, Jude, Ella, and Joy—you've all shown remarkable bravery and talent. You belong here."

He took a breath, looking at them all.

"From this moment on, you'll receive special training—rigorous and tailored—to prepare you for what's ahead. Your training begins tomorrow."

At Dames palace

"Master, why do we need to work with the Hive's military?" Karika asked, her tone laced with suspicion.

Dame, the Commander of the Demon Army, didn't look up. "Karika, stop asking questions. In time, you'll understand—it's for the good of our people."

Karika bowed slightly. "As you wish. I'll check on the prisoner. Make sure she's properly fed, right?"

"Yes," Dame replied firmly. "We still need her."

"All hail the Demon Commander," Karika said, then turned and left.

Once alone, Dame rose from his seat and walked toward a hidden chamber. He opened a concealed safe embedded in the wall. Inside sat a strange, ancient-looking box, glowing faintly with dark energy.

He touched it gently and whispered, "Soon, my lord… soon."

At Dames underground prison

"I hate coming here," Karika muttered to himself as he pushed open the heavy prison door. "It's always dark… creepy… and cold. Very, very cold."

A weak voice echoed from the shadows. "At least you're not the one trapped here in chains."

Karika scowled. "Eat, prisoner. I don't know why we keep you alive, but you're the luckiest prisoner I've ever seen."

He shoved a plate of food onto the floor, not bothering to look her in the eye, then turned and left in haste—his footsteps echoing through the cold, stone corridor.

Back at the hive military academy

 At the training ground,

"Good day, students," the man said firmly, stepping forward with a presence that silenced the crowd. "I am Inspector Steel. From now on, you'll be seeing a lot of me—because I'm the one who will turn you into the best."

His eyes scanned us sharply.

"Your training will be ten times harder than that of an average soldier. Weakness, fear, or hesitation is not permitted. From this moment, there is no Class One or Class Two. No seniors or juniors. Only Hive X. Am I understood?"

"Yes, sir!" we echoed in unison.

He continued, "And we will not be training here. Your training ground is Hive X's private facility."

Kira raised a brow. "We have another training ground?"

"Yes, we do," Steel replied. "Come with me. I'll show you."

He led us to the library.

"We're here," he announced.

Mia blinked. "But sir… this is just the library."

Steel smirked. "Rule number one: to be a great agent, always remember—things are not always what they seem."

He walked to the history section and pressed a finger to the spine of an old book. Instantly, the wall dissolved into a hidden passageway.

We all stared in awe.

"Follow me," he said, stepping into the shadows.

---

When the passageway fully opened, we stepped into a vast, open field that stretched farther than we could see. It was unlike anything we expected—modern, advanced, and yet completely hidden beneath the library.

"This," Steel announced, "is your new training ground. From this point on, you will no longer train with the other students. As far as they're concerned—you're dead."

The silence that followed was heavy.

"This field is fully controlled by advanced tech," he continued, pointing to a large white board on the far right. "That's the control panel. It has five buttons:

1 — Fire

2 — Water

3 — Air

4 — Earth

5 — All four elements combined

Each button transforms the entire field into a training environment based on that element."

He turned back to us with a sharp grin.

"Training begins now. Step aside, everyone—we're starting with water."

He moved towards the board, pressed button two, and suddenly, the ground trembled. The field shimmered—and began to shift.

"Hold your breath," Steel commanded. "We're going underwater."

Chapter 12 the first mission for Hive X (1week later)

(*(At Hive X Training Ground)*

"Good morning, Hive X," Inspector Steel's voice rang out sharp and clear. "It's time for your first real mission—into the Cave Lion's Den."

He paused, letting the weight of the words settle.

"JOY, SHINE, KIRA, BLAKE, LEE, LAIN, JUDE, NOEL, ELLA, and MIA... it's your time. Show me what you've learned—or go home. You leave at sunset."

*At Sunset – White Garden Entrance*

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting an orange glow as we stood before the entrance.

Inspector Steel faced us, firm as ever. "This is where my journey ends," he said, his voice steady. "What lies ahead is yours to face alone. Good luck—and remember… *teamwork* is your greatest weapon."

He turned and walked away.

We looked at one another, hearts pounding. It was time.

At night, the White Garden looked nothing like it did during the day—shadows twisted across the ground, and every breeze felt like a whisper.

"Guys, how do we even find the den?" Jude asked, scanning the darkness.

"Guess we're on our own," Mia muttered, gripping her staff tighter.

"Uhh… guys," Noel said, his voice shaky as he pointed toward a strange statue, its eyes glowing red like fire. "What's that?"

"Relax, it's just a statue," Lain said casually.

"It just moved," Joy said, stepping back. "Ha! It moved *again*!"

"Don't move. And *don't blink,*" Kira ordered, eyes locked on the figure.

Joy turned to her. "Who made *you* the leader?"

Tension crackled between them, but no one dared look away from the statue—because this time, it was no illusion.

The statue growled.

"Guys, listen to her," I said urgently. "These aren't ordinary statues—they're *Weeping Angels*."

"Weeping *what*?" Ella asked, wide-eyed.

"I thought that was a myth," I added, "but it's real. They move only when unobserved. Quantum beings. If they touch you, they'll send you to the past and feed off the energy of your unlived future. I read about them in Hive history class."

"Guys, come on," Mia scoffed. "That's just fiction."

Kira turned to her sharply. "If there's one thing I've learned here—it's that *nothing* is just fiction."

"Okay, okay," Jude said, his voice tense. "So, someone please tell me—how do we fight something we can't even blink around?"

Everyone went quiet, eyes locked on the statue as it stood frozen in place, eerie and unmoving.

"I have an idea," I said, "but we'll need to work *together*. We take turns blinking—pair up, one watches while the other rests their eyes. Then we rotate. No one takes their eyes off it alone."

"Great," Blake said, stepping beside me. "Let's form a circle—surround it. It can't move if it's being watched from all angles."

The group moved into formation, tense but focused. The game had just changed.

Blake said, "Guys, calm down and *do not move*."

Lee frowned. "But I don't get it. We came here for a practical last month, and those statues weren't here before."

Mia shrugged. "Maybe they protect the White Garden from intruders."

Jude shook his head. "But we're not intruders. They wouldn't send us here if they wanted us dead."

Noel turned to me. "Shine, don't you remember anything from history class that could help us?"

Memories flashed as I tried to recall something about a mirror. Suddenly it came back. "Guys, I remember! *At last, the reflection saved the day.* That was our teacher's last sentence."

Lee scoffed. "I don't think this is the time for riddles."

Kira nodded. "I think I get it. If it focuses on its own reflection, it won't be able to hurt us."

Mia sighed. "I knew I should have brought some makeup."

Noel said, "We need to improvise. What do we have that can help?"

Jude smirked. "We have five highly trained female masters of the elements... but no mirrors."

Kira shot back, "You don't take mirrors on important assignments, so suck it up, boy."

Jude bristled, "What did you say?"

Blake cut in sharply, "Stop it, guys. We have bigger fish to fry."

We were trapped. Time was running out. We were growing weaker, and the statues were closing in. We needed to act fast.

Lain said, "I don't want to die like this. I'm out." He tried to run.

But he hadn't even taken five steps before he turned to stone.

The Weeping Angels were faster—one caught him instantly.

Panic spread through the group as the situation worsened.

Blake shouted, "Guys, think! We need to find a way out, or we're all toast!"

All hope felt lost. *Am I really going to die here?* I thought desperately.

Suddenly, I heard a woman crying for help in the darkness.

This had happened before—back at the training ground when the inspectors first introduced us to the elements.

*What's wrong with me?* I told myself. *I need to focus.*

Then I heard Kira's voice, and everything froze.

I have an idea shine , you can see your reflection on water right kira asked .

 I Answered yes !

She suggested, "Let's create a mirror using bubble work or maybe a floating wave. It could buy us some time."

Blake agreed, "We need all hands on deck."

"I and Noel will make the mirror stand," Blake added. "The rest of you create a floating wave."

"On three, everybody move. One, two, three—move!"

They felt relieved; everyone agreed it was a close call.

Ella said, "That was close! Let's hurry, guys. We need to make it out before sunrise."

After walking for a while, they reached the entrance of a cave.

Noel said, "I guess this is the Den. If I were a cave lion, I'd pick this place."

Deeper and deeper we ventured into the cave, unsure of what lay ahead.

"This is a dead end, guys," Ella said.

Suddenly, a roar echoed behind us — five cave lions blocked our path.

Mia shouted, "Let's split up!"

"Wait," Lee interrupted, "I sense demon magic. One of them is the wolf. I can feel his energy, but I don't know exactly where it's coming from."

They charged. We fought with all our might, but they were too strong.

I called out, "Guys, let's use the Phoenix power! Combine the elements!"

Lee nodded, "That's a great idea."

Blake added, "We've never done this before."

Jude said confidently, "We can do this."

We all combined the elements to form the Phoenix Strike — a force too strong for the cave lions. They fled, all but one.

The remaining lion laughed, then transformed into a massive half-wolf, half-human beast.

"Children, children, take it easy," the wolf sneered. "What was that? Too weak. Hive Military really underestimated me. Sam and Steel sent amateurs to catch me? Disgraceful."

In a blur, he lunged at Ella, sucking the life from her. She collapsed, turning cold and stone-like.

Kira yelled, "No, Ella!" She rushed to her, trying to hold her stiff, cold body. "What did you do to her?"

The wolf smirked, "Just feasted on the quantum energy of her unlived life."

I said, "Those Weeping Angels were yours? You've been messing with us since we arrived."

"Exactly," he replied. "I'll hand it to you, you're smart. Nobody's survived that trick before. Now, let's fight."

Lain urged Kira, "We have to run."

Kira hesitated, "But we can't leave her here."

Lain replied, "We don't have a choice. We'll come back."

We ran until Lee said, "It's a dead end. How?"

Then the wolf's voice boomed behind us, "There you are. I am the Alpha of Alphas, Apex of apex predators, Death — Destroyer of worlds. I am the Demon Wolf."

He charged again, sucking life from Mia, turning her to stone. Jude rushed at him but was also petrified.

Noel suggested, "Let's combine our energy again — but this time summon our inner shields."

Kira nodded, "We're defenders. Born with inner shields."

I hesitated, "But I don't know if I'm a defender. I don't have the shield tattoo."

Drake said, "It's all we've got. Our only hope."

Noel asked, "Ready? We say it together."

"Me too. Do you know how to summon a shield?"

"I read about it in history class," I answered.

Drake said, "Let's do it."

In unison, we chanted:

*"In times of need, we call on the Shield of Protection!"* Immediately our shield came together and formed a very powerful force . It hit the wolf , and over powered him .

We defeated the wolf with just one strike so we thought .

. Suddenly out of nowhere we heard a voice said well done students , it was inspector steel . Lee yelled you were there this whole time ? and u didn't think to help us? . Every one Back to your hostels , I will-see you at the X training ground in an hour time .

Chapter 13 HIVE X VISIT TO THE HIVE

Back at hive X training ground

Lee yelled again you were watching us all this while and you didn't help us? .

Steel said "calm down , your safe now. The wolf is in our custody , thanks to you all"

, kira asked "sir are the rest of us safe"?

Steel answered "they are fine . But are no more part of Hive X, they failed. Leaves the 5 of you

" drake asked "sir you said 5 where's joy" .

Steel answered " oh i forgot to tell you , joy quit right before the mission started,"

Lee replied "we are bad teammates we didn't even notice joy was absent"

. Noel said "Bro we were fighting for our lives how would we had noticed"

. Steel said "it's just the beginning, we are going to the hive west"

"The mission is simple , someone is using demon magic to turn the people of the west against the people of the north

. Kira interrupted "But sir we have been at war with the people of the north for a decade now"

"Steel explained We just found out that , someone has been using demon magic to make it worse, pack up everyone we are going to the west'

 Outside the Hive military gate

Steel said "Time to go people"

, Noel asked "sir where's our ride"

" there", steel said pointing to the sky

. We suddenly saw 6 giant bird soaring towards us, and landed right in front of the school gate.

"No , no , no," said Noel am not getting on that thing

kira asked are they firebirds? Firebirds! as in, a real life phoenix? I thought they were extinct species ? I asked .

Steel answered "Those aren't phoenix's, they are simurgh's, mystical birds that resembles the phoenix . Ok people choose your bird , or should I say chose your ride . Give them cute names because they will be your ride for a while , go on start bonding.

 An Hour later

**Lee shouted, "Noel, get on your bird! We've been here long enough—we need to move!"

Noel hesitated. "I don't do birds," he muttered.

We all yelled in unison, "Noel!"

"Okay, okay! I'm getting on!" he finally gave in ."Fine! But if I fall off, I'm suing someone!" he grumbled, climbing on awkwardly like it was his first time riding anything alive.**

Flying was the best experience I'd ever had. The wind kissed my skin like it missed me, and for a moment, I felt weightless—like all my stress, worries, and unfinished homework just floated away. The view? Absolutely magical. I could've stayed up there forever, living my best cloud-chasing life.

After two hours of sky-gliding bliss, Inspector Steel's voice snapped us back to reality.

"We've reached our destination. Prepare for landing," he announced like a dramatic airline pilot who takes his job way too seriously.

We landed at the west gate

"My home," Kira whispered, her voice barely audible over the breeze. "I never thought I'd see my family again this soon," she added, her eyes misty with emotion.

As we approached the west gate, the chief stood tall, arms wide, ready to welcome us.

"Welcome to Hive West !" he declared like a proud uncle at a family reunion.

Suddenly, a girl about 15 or 16 bolted toward Kira and wrapped her in a tight hug.

"Kira!" she squealed.

"Anna! You've grown!" Kira smiled.

"You came back!"

"Just for a week, little sis," Kira replied, ruffling her hair.

Anna's face fell. "So… not for good?"

"Not yet," Kira said gently.

Anna beamed again, grabbing Kira's arm. "Come on, I have *so* much to show you!"

"Wait—let me greet Father first," Kira laughed. "I'll be right behind you."

"Okay!" Anna called back, already halfway through the gate like a kid with VIP tickets.

The chief smiled warmly and said, "It's an honor to have you all here. Are these your new students, Steel? I bet we were better during our time."

Steel chuckled. "Tell me about it. These kids are *very* lazy."

I blinked. "Wait—you were a student at Hive Military too?"

"Yes," the chief nodded proudly. "And we were the best."

Blake raised a brow. "If you were a defender, how did you become a chief? I thought only nobles could be chiefs."

The chief replied, "I was still at the academy when my father died. I was called home, and the Queen appointed me Chief of the West."

Then he turned and called out, "Kira, come greet your father!"

Kira rushed over and hugged him tightly, then turned to embrace her mother as well.

"Welcome, dear," her mother said softly.

"I've missed you, Mom," Kira replied.

"Missed you too, my princess," her mother smiled.

"Come, make yourselves at home," the chief said with a welcoming smile. He turned to the woman standing beside him. "Eva, escort them to their rooms."

Eva nodded and led us through the long corridor of the estate. I couldn't help but admire the ancient designs carved into the walls. "Kira, your room is beautiful," I said as we stepped inside.

Kira smiled proudly. "Yes, I know. Dad always gave me the best of everything."

Just as we began settling in, a knock came at the door.

Eva's voice followed. "The chief would like you all to join him for lunch."

***

After lunch, the atmosphere changed. The chief's cheerful demeanor faded as he cleared his throat. "Let's begin the meeting," he said seriously.

"What's the crisis, Chief?" Inspector Steel asked, leaning forward.

The chief sighed. "Ten years ago, we lived peacefully… until Cubby and Tonia started misbehaving."

"Who are Cubby and Tonia?" Lee asked, confused.

Kira answered, "They were our royal griffins. We've had them since they were cubs."

"What's a griffin?" I asked innocently.

The room went silent. Everyone stared at me like I'd just asked what water was.

Kira's mom leaned toward her daughter and whispered, "Which planet is she from?" Kira whispered back, "She's from the outside world. She's Bell's child—the one they say was banished for using demon magic."

Her mom replied quietly, "We don't know how true the story is… but she looks like a nice girl."

Kira smiled. "She is a good person."

"Enough with the whispers," the Chief said firmly.

"Please continue, Chief," Inspector Steel urged.

The Chief took a deep breath and began.

"Everything changed when Cubby and Tonia started behaving strangely. They were our royal griffins, raised among us since they were cubs. But one day, they began attacking the people of the North. I believe demon magic corrupted them. The Northerners had no choice but to kill them to protect their own."

He paused before continuing.

"In response, their griffins began attacking our people. We had to defend ourselves, so we fought back and killed their griffins—just as they did to ours. But instead of understanding, they declared war. We didn't want conflict, so we arranged a meeting at the border to negotiate peace."

The Chief's voice grew heavy with emotion.

"After the talks, just as we turned to leave, someone from the North fired arrows. One struck the leader of the chiefs guard, Noah. We couldn't save him. He fell into the river, and we never recovered his dog tag. Without it, a soldier's burial remains incomplete. His spirit can't rest, and it breaks me."

He clenched his fist, trying to hold back the pain.

"Take us to her," Steel said.

The Chief led us down into an underground dungeon. It was damp and cold, lit only by flickering torches. At the far end, chained and thrashing, was the griffin—Sunny. She was out of control, struggling violently to break free. Her body was bruised, her feathers ruffled, eyes wild with rage and pain.

"Oh, poor Sunny," the Queen whispered, her voice filled with sorrow.

Lee stepped forward. "I can feel it—the demon magic."

"Me too," Steel added grimly. "We must get rid of it."

He turned sharply. "Shine, come here."

I stepped forward hesitantly. It was my first time seeing a griffin up close. My breath caught. "Wow… so beautiful." A magnificent creature with the powerful body of a lion, the wings of an eagle, and piercing golden eyes. I was mesmerized.

Steel's voice brought me back. "I want you to stop this, Shine. Think of it as your first test. Remember what I taught you—put it into practice."

He turned to the others. "Let's go."

"Wait—Inspector, you're leaving me alone with it?"

Steel looked back at me with steady eyes. "You'll do just fine, Shine. Remember—until you can look the demon in the eye and command it to leave, it never will. Faith, not fear. Believe in yourself."

At the chief's garden

"Chief, we've found the source of the demon magic," said Negro, one of the chief's men. "It's coming from Supreme Junior High—the princess's high school."

The Chief turned to Steel. "Get your students ready. It's time for action."

Steel assembled Hive

Steel faced us with a smirk. "Alright Hive X, listen up. You're going undercover as high school students to locate and neutralize the source of the demon magic."

Drake raised his hand. "What about Shine?"

"She has her own mission," Steel replied. "She'll be fine."

*At Anna's School – Supreme Junior High*

They arrived at the schools entrance

Noel looked around wide-eyed. "This school is massive. Where do we even start?"

Steel clapped his hands. "Noel, you're the charmer—use that pretty face to get people talking. Flirt, smile, do what you do."

"No pressure," Noel muttered.

"Lee," Steel continued, "you're my nerd. Blend in with the brainiacs and dig up anything strange—codes, rumors, demon gossip, I want it."

"Drake," he pointed, "you're sports and music. Be the cool kid, win trust, score intel."

"Prince Charming mode. Got it," Drake nodded.

"Kira," Steel said, "you've got history here—and you're not exactly unpopular. Work your connections, but be discreet. We don't need attention."

They interacted with countless students throughout the day—but nothing.

*At the school cafeteria…*

"I couldn't find anything today," Kira sighed, dropping into her seat. "Also, I'm starving."

"Same here," Blake replied, equally drained.

"Well, at least you two don't have a girlfriend who clings like a baby koala," Noel groaned, resting his head on the table.

Lee pushed up his glasses. "The nerds at this school suck. No intel, no theories… just bad breath and conspiracy memes."

Jake raised an eyebrow. "So… nothing useful?"

"Well… maybe," Lee replied. "I did find out something weird. The students here are divided. Kids from the North and West both attend this school—but they're constantly at each other's throats. It's like a cold war in class, and a real one in the halls."

"I know," Kira said, rolling her eyes. "I went here, remember?"

"I was telling the rest of the crew," Lee muttered.

Suddenly, Kira sat up straighter. "Wait. That's it! Every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., there's a fight in the cafeteria. It's practically a tradition."

Noel blinked. "What kind of twisted school has fight *traditions*?"

"Blake," Kira said quickly, "go get Inspector Steel. It's almost 10:00."

*When Steel arrived…*

"We'll be able to spot the demon magic when the fight begins," Kira explained.

From across the room, she froze—her eyes locking onto someone in the crowd.

"…My sister," she whispered.

---

The princess of the North walked boldly toward Kira's sister, the princess of the West, and with a smug smile, knocked her tray of food off the table.

"Oops," she said mockingly. "I slipped. Time for our usual fight, loser."

Tension crackled instantly across the cafeteria.

"Guys…" Lee whispered, narrowing his eyes. "I can smell the demon magic."

"I'll go with the inspector to track it," he added quickly.

Steel nodded. "Keep an eye on them. Don't let them seriously hurt each other."

Lee and Inspector Steel slipped away, disappearing down the corridor.

Back at the table, Jake stared off with a worried look.

"I hope Shine's okay," he muttered.

Kira glanced at him, raising a brow. "You really like her that much?"

Blake looked away shyly. "I do. I think I love her… I just don't know how to tell her."

Kira smiled. "Just tell her. And believe in her. If you trust her strength, you won't have to worry all the time."

*Mean while back at the west palace

I stood in the presence of a creature I never knew existed, but the moment felt eerily familiar. Then it happened again—those visions. This time, the girl in the vision looked exactly like me… but older, calmer, powerful. It was vivid—too vivid to be imagination.

She spoke gently, yet her voice echoed within me.

"You don't know how powerful you are," she said. "You're like a diamond. Not yet refined, but full of potential. And just like a diamond, you must endure pressure—survive the process—to become something the world treasures."

"Who are you?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.

"I am your feelings. Your emotions. Your beating heart. I've been inside you since the day you were born. When you're in pain, I feel it too. When you grew, I grew. And when you die… I will die with you."

I stared at her, stunned.

"I am you," she said. "And you are me. Death cannot separate us. I am also your teacher."

"What's your name?" I asked.

She smiled. "I am you," she answered. "Your spirit. Your soul. Your body."

*"Do you know where my mom is?"* I asked softly.

*"Yes,"* the girl—my spirit—answered calmly. *"She's safe."*

*"Can I see her?"* I asked, hope rising in my chest.

*"Not yet,"* she replied. *"We're not there yet."*

*"Who's 'we'?"* I questioned.

*"Me and you,"* she said, looking directly into my eyes. *"You still have a lot to uncover about yourself."*

---

*Meanwhile, back at the school...*

"Guys, the fight is about to begin," Kira announced, her tone serious.

Noel rolled his eyes. "Come on, it's just a girls' fight. What's the worst that could happen?"

Kira snapped her gaze at him. "At this school, there's no such thing as *just* a girls' fight."

She paused, then added, "Oh, and did I forget to mention—the princess of the North's name is Nina."

Noel froze. "Wait… *that's* Nina?"

Drake looked over. "You know her?"

Noel nodded slowly. "Yeah… my fake girlfriend told me all about her. She's the Fire Lord's daughter. Fearless. Ruthless. Insanely powerful."

"She told me a *lot* of things about Nina," he added, his tone shifting. "None of them good."

Drake's eyes narrowed. "Then we need to stop her. She might seriously hurt your sister."

Kira sighed, folding her arms. "You don't know my sister," she said. "One time, she *almost drowned me*—and not by accident. It was embarrassing… and honestly, a little traumatic."

Everyone stared.

She shrugged. "Don't let her innocent looks fool you. She was trained by the best—our father. And don't forget, she's a noble… the heir to the West Throne."

Drake blinked. "Remind me never to get on her bad side."

Kira smirked. "Smart move."

Mean while

Inspector Steel and Lee roamed the school halls, their senses sharp, scanning every corner for signs of the demon magic. The deeper they went, the stronger the presence became.

"It's getting heavier," Lee said quietly, his eyes narrowing. "I think it's coming from the principal's office."

They reached the door and carefully stepped inside.

Lee froze. "Wait… this is the principal's office? It's massive—it looks like a mini library."

"Things work a little differently here," Inspector Steel replied. "Welcome to the west."

The room was dimly lit, shelves lined with old books, relics, and artifacts humming with strange energy. In the center stood a man, chanting in an ancient tongue, surrounded by swirling dark energy. A dog tag floated in the air above his hands, glowing ominously.

"It's Noah's…" Steel whispered.

They stepped forward, but the man raised his hand, summoning a barrier of dark energy that pulsed with power. They shouted his name, trying to break through to him, but he didn't respond—his eyes were hollow, lost to the magic that had taken hold of him.

"He's completely consumed," Lee said grimly.

Steel clenched his fists. "We're running out of time."

Chapter 14: THE FIGHT OF A DECADE

 At the school field

"This is how we fight," Kira said calmly, "Whoever hits the ground first… loses."

A tall girl stepped between Nina and Anna, holding up five cards like it was a game show. "These are the rules: we have five cards. Each has an element written on it—Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and Body Shield. If you pick Body Shield, you're not allowed to use any element. When your opponent attacks, you must defend with your body alone."

"Wait… *what?*" Noel whispered. "They're actually fighting with those rules? That's brutal!"

"Yes, they can," Kira said without flinching.

*Round One.*

Nina drew *Fire*. Anna pulled *Air*.

"Fight!" the referee girl shouted.

Nina immediately launched a flaming wave at Anna. With a flick of her wrist, Anna summoned a gust of wind to deflect the flames, then countered with a whirlwind packed with sharp gusts.

Nina blocked with a fiery shield, the flames and wind clashing in mid-air, sending sparks and embers flying around the cafeteria.

The battle intensified—element against element, speed against precision. The field became a war zone.

" How are they so strong " Noel asked

"Remember they are like royalty , we learn combat from a young age for protection that's why we learnt all this from a young age. Nobles go to noble high academy from a young age " Kira explained

Drake tensed. "We should stop this."

At the principal office

After several failed attempts to break the shield, frustration began to show on Inspector Steel's face.

Mark, still hovering within the barrier, opened his eyes wide, voice distorted and hollow. "Leave now… before I unleash the rage of demon magic upon you!"

Steel stepped forward, refusing to back down. "This isn't you, Mark! It's the demon talking—fight it! Snap out of it, brother!"

Suddenly, the shield pulsed violently—and from within its shadows, grotesque skeletal figures emerged. Their limbs were long and twisted, fingers sharp like blades, faces hollow with endless mouths that grinned without joy.

Lee took several steps back, eyes wide. "What the heck are those things?!"

"Rakes," Steel growled. "Creatures from the underworld. They feed off chaos… and they guard demon magic."

Lee looked around frantically. "How did they even get here?"

"They're drawn to it. Wherever the magic festers, they follow. And right now, they'll kill to protect it." Steel turned sharply. "Lee, we need backup—now."

*Back at the Dungeon*

"Shine, I'm always with you," the girl said softly. "You should know that by now. All you need to do is listen—I will always speak to you. But now… it's time to go. The inspector needs your help. It's time to rise… and shine."

With those final words, she vanished. Everything around me shifted back to normal—the cold dungeon walls, the faint glow of the torches, and the chained, restless griffin in front of me.

I stood up, steadied my breath, and walked slowly toward the creature. It roared and charged at me, but the chains held firm. My heart pounded, but I held my ground. I locked eyes with the griffin, and for a moment, saw nothing but wild fury.

Then I looked deeper. Beyond the rage. Beyond the pain.

There it was.

The demon.

A monstrous hound-like creature—horned, with seven burning eyes—staring back at me from within her soul.

I straightened and said firmly, "Now I see you. What is your name?"

A voice slithered through the air. "Deuce."

"Deuce," I said, "I command you to release this creature. Your time is up. Leave. Now."

The griffin screeched and thrashed as Deuce resisted. But I didn't flinch. I stood tall and repeated, "Leave!"

 At the principal's office

Steel realized they were outnumbered. Shadows closed in, the rakes snarling as they crept forward. Without looking away, he muttered, "Lee, go get the others. Now."

Lee didn't hesitate—he turned and bolted out of the room at full speed, heart pounding, knowing every second counted.

 *At the field...*

The fight was still going on, the tension mounting with each round. They had drawn twice already, and now it all came down to the final card.

"This is the last round," Kira told her teammates. "Whoever draws 'Body Shield' can't fight back."

"What if Anna picks it?" Neon asked, eyes wide with concern.

"I just hope she doesn't," Kira muttered, nerves tightening in her chest.

The cards were shuffled by Fave. "Pick a card," she said.

Both girls reached forward.

"Now show us what you picked."

There was a sudden stillness. The crowd hushed. It was as if time paused, the wind itself holding its breath.

Nina raised her card. *Water.*

All eyes turned to Anna.

She flipped her card—*Body Shield.*

Kira's heart sank. "Oh no."

"We have to stop this," Drake said, starting to move.

But before anyone could act, Noel shouted, "Guys, look—it's Lee!"

They turned to see Lee sprinting toward them, panting, eyes wide with urgency. He reached them and collapsed to his knees, gasping for breath.

"What is it, Lee?" Jake asked.

"It's... the inspector," Lee managed to say. "He needs help."

"Come on, Lee, breathe," Neon urged.

"Where is he?" Kira asked quickly.

"Principal's office," Lee wheezed.

"I know the way," Kira said, taking charge. "Let's move." "What about Anna?" Blake asked.

"She'll be fine," Kira said firmly. "If we stop the source, we stop the fight."

With that, the team bolted across the campus, leaving behind the chaos of the arena—and a sister about to face her most dangerous test yet.

They rushed into the principal's office—and chaos greeted them.

Inspector Steel was surrounded, fighting for his life. Dark skeletal creatures with razor-like fingers swirled around him, shrieking and slashing.

"Whoa! What *are* those?!" Neon shouted.

Kira's eyes narrowed. "Those aren't from this world…"

"Don't just stand there—join the party!" Steel barked between swings.

"Yes sir!" they all replied, springing into action.

"But the office is to small , let's take it down the hall Kira said

" it'll course panic let's finish it here" steel ordered

The battle intensified as the creatures—Rakes—multiplied. The shield surrounding the possessed principal pulsed like a dark portal, allowing more of the creatures to pour through.
