Chapter 304: He Had a Bold Idea
The so-called cleaning was, in fact, sumata.
Thus, it was already the second day since Renji arrived in Heaven.
The reason he remained was to resolve all the issues left behind by the God of the Bible in one go?
How could that be?
There were so many problems that even working for a year wouldn't be enough to finish them.
His main focus now was on handling specific troubles that could potentially erupt in the upcoming great war.
So, now he was back on the Seventh Heaven.
"My Lord, are you sure it's alright? Should we gather the other Seraphim?"
The extraordinarily beautiful angel, Gabriel, beside him spoke with great concern, her anxiety evident in her body language.
Especially since the fluctuations from what was likely the most perfect position Renji had ever seen could shake his will and distract him.
"No need, I can handle it. Have them guard the passages well. When this cage is opened, some passages leading to Heaven will also open."
This was one of the situations caused by the system not being fully restored yet.
"Understood."
Since the Lord had spoken, Gabriel relayed the message to the others.
However, the worry in her beautiful eyes was unmistakable.
The person before her intended to open a special spatial cage on the Seventh Heaven, where the previous Lord had imprisoned many dangerous monsters.
The reason for imprisoning them was to create God-killing artifacts.
As for the location of this prison, Gabriel and the others had not known where it was in the past, never expecting it to be on the Seventh Heaven.
Moreover, this cage had become somewhat unstable. If left unaddressed, those things would break out.
Thus, this new Lord planned to deal with them all at once.
"Don't worry, I'm actually a person who fears death greatly. I wouldn't be foolish enough to throw my life away."
Seeing Gabriel still so tense, Renji half-jokingly disparaged himself.
Hearing this, the flawless angel was slightly taken aback before letting out a soft, sparkling laugh, so radiant it dazzled.
With that, he began operating the system to unlock the prison.
Begin!
In a void within the Seventh Heaven, space rippled, and then, like an optical camouflage gradually fading away, a massive cubic-shaped boulder was revealed?
The massive cubic stone that should have been smooth without a single scratch was now covered in cracks and trembling intermittently. One could sense the monsters inside ramming against it, trying to break free.
Crack, crack, crack!
The colossal cube emitted strange noises as its four side faces began vanishing, leaving only the top and bottom surfaces intact.
Simultaneously, a terrifying aura instantly spread out, not only flooding the entire Seventh Heaven but also seeping downward through the six lower heavens.
"Oh no!!!"
Gabriel's face paled as numerous shadowy figures emerged and immediately vanished, escaping downward.
She couldn't stop them, for another group was charging toward their position. Since the Lord seemed still unable to disengage from the system, she immediately unfurled her twelve wings and stepped forward, exerting her full strength to block the frenzied attacks.
"The time of birth has come, thus I shall rectify all phenomena"
The moment this murmur echoed from behind, the charging distorted beasts were instantly pierced by numerous rays of light.
Without even a chance to scream, they flashed into incandescent ash before Gabriel's eyes.
Sixth Heaven.
Asia and Xenovia, who had remained below instead of ascending to the Seventh Heaven, suddenly tensed as they sensed something.
The next instant, several indistinct distorted monsters appeared, roaring as they launched attacks in all directions.
The angels reacted swiftly, preparing to engage, when multiple light beams suddenly pierced through the creatures. They then burned to ash like magnesium strips flashing into combustion.
What was happening?
Though not fully understanding, it seemed Lord Solomon was the one who had eliminated those monsters.
Having been transformed into Demon Pillars themselves, they could sense a certain connection.
The scene returns to the Seventh Heaven. After a moment of stunned silence, Gabriel witnessed all the remaining monsters being eradicated by the light rays.
Sensing something, she looked up at the sky, where a massive ring of light hovered like a super-sized version of an angel's halo.
Turning back to look at the figure behind her, she saw his attire had changed, and his aura had transformed as well.
In this moment, he made Gabriel feel that this was how a god should truly be.
As for the other monsters that had escaped to different heavens?
It appeared they had all been eliminated by the same light beams.
Hmm?
The ring of light in the sky vanished like a mirage, making what they had just witnessed seem like an illusion.
"It seems I need to be careful when using this"
Renji murmured to himself.
This was his first time using this ability, merely testing it lightly, so it wouldn't actually alter history.
This power should only be used when facing absolute desperation, when the world truly reaches a point beyond salvation.
Though even if he wanted to use it fully now, he couldn't—after all, it required assistance from the Akashic Records to connect him to all of human history.
The next second, weakness washed over his body.
It was caused by his magical energy being nearly drained, making him almost lose his balance and stumble.
However, the exhaustion of magical energy didn't mean his physical strength was gone too. It was purely because nearly all his magic had been instantly drained, causing his body to convulse slightly. This disrupted the neural signals from his brain to various parts of his body, making movement difficult and uncoordinated.
He just needed to rest for a moment, and he would recover.
But before he could fall, a delicate figure caught him in her embrace—or rather, he tumbled directly into her arms.
His face sank into a tenderness so profound that, for a moment, he wished he never had to pull away.
It was clear why this woman was hailed as Heaven's number one beauty—her perfection was enough to drive anyone mad.
Suddenly, a bold idea flashed through his mind.
In truth, it was his second bold thought.
The first had already been realized—just yesterday.
"My Lord, are you alright? Ah~"
Gabriel's worried expression melted away, replaced by a soft smile—a goddess's smile that seemed to permit any transgression from the one nestled in her arms.
So why had she suddenly smiled like that?
Because a faint, shadowy glow had begun to shimmer around the Lord, as though attempting to expel him from this space.
Such phenomena occurred in Heaven whenever impure thoughts arose in one's heart.
And so, Gabriel's reverence for her master seemed to waver. Playfully, she cupped his face and gave his forehead a light tap.
"Really now, as our Lord, you mustn't let this happen so often. But… it's alright~"
