Chapter 336: An Unexpected Incident in the Apartment
Women are always saying one thing and meaning another—a fact Ron had proven time and again throughout his player years.
After attending his Uncle Pritchett's birthday party, Ron followed Max and Caroline back to Max's place. Then, under Caroline's furious glare, he grabbed Max and they tumbled onto the bed.
Then…
Max started singing, her voice melodious and beautiful, moving Caroline to tears. Of course, it wasn't just her eyes that were crying; eventually, unable to bear it any longer, Caroline joined in, drawn by Max's moving performance.
At first, it was just Caroline sneaking up on Ron, who immediately countered. But as things progressed, it turned into Ron fighting against a combined attack from Caroline and Max. Only then did Ron realize that the greatest use of his inexhaustible stamina was actually this!
Thank God for his superhuman endurance, otherwise… you see, Caroline plus Max was far more than just 1+1=2!
"Ron, besides us, do you have any other girls?"
During a break, Caroline traced patterns on Ron's arm with her fingers, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she asked.
Ron remained silent, staring at the ceiling and counting on his fingers.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Caroline asked curiously.
"I'm counting how many women I have," Ron replied innocently. He had too many women; he was practically losing track.
"Ron, you jerk!" Caroline punched Ron, who, of course, retaliated. Max joined the fray, and soon, another round began...
It wasn't until evening that Ron dragged his exhausted body back to his apartment.
"Good evening, Ron!"
Ron pushed open the apartment door, and the first person he saw was Rajesh, standing by the dining table. On the table lay a sumptuous spread of dishes, enough to make anyone's mouth water.
Of course, it could also be because Ron had been so busy all day that he hadn't eaten much.
"Did you do all this? Rajesh, what are you doing here? Where's Leonard?"
"Leonard and I switched places," Rajesh said, sounding aggrieved. "I didn't want to stay home every day listening to him do those obscene things to my sister. Do you know what Leonard did? He actually used my Star Trek uniform to dress up Priya!"
"He even made my sister 'prepare for docking' and wait for the 'shuttle to arrive'! I had no choice but to escape here. Ron, do you want some dinner?"
"Absolutely, thanks for cooking!" Ron sat down at the table without hesitation. "I bet that shuttle was pretty inappropriate, right?"
Rajesh rolled his eyes, didn't answer, and instead called into the bedroom, "Sheldon, come out for dinner!"
"What is all this?" Sheldon was also shocked by the feast laid out on the table.
On the table, there were premium French delicacies like escargot and foie gras, as well as world-famous Beef Wellington and Maine lobster. Rajesh had managed to make this small dinner feel absolutely luxurious.
"That's the difference between fine dining and just eating!" Rajesh said smugly, enjoying the surprised look on Sheldon's face.
His smugness was well-founded, as he had prepared the entire spread by himself.
"Incredible! I'm only now realizing how half-hearted Leonard has been all these years!" Sheldon rarely praised anyone, but even then, he couldn't resist jabbing at someone else: "Rajesh, you should really stay here permanently. Ron, what do you think?"
"If I could eat like this every day, I'd wholeheartedly agree." Ron replied contentedly, savoring a piece of Beef Wellington. The taste was simply amazing. Although it wasn't quite at the level of the high-end steakhouses he'd been to, it was still incredibly impressive for home cooking.
"However, it would be even better if we could add grilled oysters next time."
"Got it, grilled oysters. I promise you'll see them on the table tomorrow night," Rajesh noted on his phone and poured Cabernet for the Cooper brothers. "Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
"Hey, Sheldon, did you change the Wi-Fi password again?" Just as everyone clinked glasses, the apartment door opened, and Penny walked in carrying her laptop.
"That's correct. The current password is: Penny-pays-her-own-internet-bill, no spaces."
"Thanks," Penny reconnected her computer to the network and was about to leave when her eyes inadvertently glanced at the dishes on the table, and she froze. "Whoa! What's with this feast?"
"This is the work of our excellent chef from Mumbai. Although I've already said it once, please allow me to say it again. Outstanding work, Rajesh." Ron raised his glass to Rajesh.
"Thanks," Rajesh clinked glasses with Ron. "Penny, do you want to join us? I made plenty."
"Oh, hell yeah!" Penny, who never turned down free food, immediately tossed her laptop aside and sat down next to Ron. Without waiting to be served, she poured herself a drink: "To celebrate tonight's amazing spread."
"And Rajesh being a hundred times better than Leonard."
"And oysters tomorrow."
"Cheers!" Everyone raised their glasses again…
The next morning, Ron woke up with a pounding hangover headache. He hadn't been this drunk in forever.
Shaking his head, he cursed himself for being so careless. Just as he was about to get dressed, he suddenly felt a weight on his arm. There was someone sleeping next to him!
Ron was shocked! He reflexively reached for his waist, but found nothing. However, after recognizing the other person in bed, Ron finally breathed a sigh of relief. It was Penny? Then he wouldn't need to look for his gun anymore.
Wait!
Ron was just about to go back to sleep when he suddenly realized something was wrong. Why was Penny in his bed?
Hold on! This isn't my bed, it's Leonard's bed!
And the most embarrassing thing was, judging from Penny's bare shoulder sticking out from under the covers, she probably wasn't wearing anything.
"Oh my God!" Penny was woken up by Ron's movement and slowly turned her head: "What did we do last night?! Ron, do you remember?"
Ron shook his head blankly. He vaguely remembered that after finishing a bottle of wine yesterday, Penny went back to her apartment to grab two bottles of 184-proof Everclear, and then the three of them kept drinking, and then...
Then he couldn't remember anything else.
Damn it, why doesn't he have superhuman alcohol tolerance along with everything else?!
However, just when he thought the shocking revelations were over, Ron's morning surprises didn't end there. From the other side of Penny's blanket, an Indian man's head popped out: "Good morning, Ron. Good morning, Penny."
"Rajesh! What are you doing here?!" *2
