Chapter 129 - Chapter 113: Stop, stop what you are doing!

"For an ordinary person like you to say you can give up such power, it's quite surprising," Ron said with a hint of astonishment.

Although the Green Lantern's power isn't on par with Superman's, it's still quite practical and outstanding among the various Earth heroes and villains.

"Hehe.

Besides, if I become a Universe Police, won't I have to travel everywhere and be far from Master?" Catwoman rolled her eyes, deliberately blinking, and said ingratiatingly.

"Flattery won't get you any rewards," Ron replied, unmoved.

As they talked, the three of them passed through an underground fissure and arrived at the center of Oa.

From their position, a thick, massive green light beam shot from the ground into the sky, emitting vast energy.

"This Planet is actually hollow.

What is this?" In the hollow center of the Planet, Catwoman looked confusedly at the massive energy mass, hundreds of meters in size, that projected light beams in four directions towards the Planet's four poles.

"The Corps' Central Power Battery.

Its energy comes from the will of all sentient beings in the Universe; it's inexhaustible and incredibly powerful." The Lantern who succeeded Abin Sur's Corps position seemed a bit taciturn.

Fortunately, the lady he brought with him was quite normal.

Tomar Re glanced at Ron and introduced.

All along, Ron had acted nothing like someone visiting Oa for the first time, not asking a single question.

The receptionist, whose job it was to welcome new Lanterns, almost became obsolete.

Ron wasn't taciturn; he simply knew everything already, so he had no interest in asking questions.

At this moment, he stopped, looking at the giant power battery, a ripple of interest flashing in his eyes, as if he had seen something captivating.

"Master, your target isn't that, is it?" Noticing Ron's gaze, Catwoman shivered in fear, pressing close to his body, maintaining a stiff smile, and whispered, "Are you going to blow it up and destroy the Green Lantern Corps?"

"Your understanding of your Master is a bit flawed," he replied expressionlessly.

He wondered how this woman had come up with such a scenario, thinking he was a major villain intent on destroying the Universe.

He just wanted to go in and make contact with Ion Shark to copy its template.

From a perspective invisible to ordinary people, within the vast, massive energy mass, a green energy lifeform, resembling a shark, swam freely.

Ion Shark is an entity born from the green will-power, the Lantern Beast of the Green Lantern Corps.

Like other Lantern Beasts, Ion Shark was born from the Emotional Spectrum.

Its existence has always been a secret kept by the Guardians of the Universe from the Green Lantern Corps, known to almost no one.

"In the comics, since the Green Lantern Corps was founded, Ion Shark has always been stationed in the Central Power Battery of Oa, constantly restraining Parallax, the embodiment of the yellow fear-power, which was imprisoned there by the Guardians of the Universe.

It was also for this reason that the effectiveness of Green Lantern energy was weakened in the corresponding spectrum, specifically manifesting as the Green Lantern Ring not working on yellow objects, known as the 'Yellow Impurity.'"

However, in the movie, Parallax was sealed in an uninhabited Universe sector, and the Green Lantern Ring thus lacked the Yellow Impurity.

Ron flew forward, came to the power battery, and reached out to touch it.

The immense energy within the battery was unimaginably powerful; the space at its center was distorted, rendering his mental teleportation ability ineffective.

"Danger!

New Lantern, what are you trying to do?" Tomar Re, seeing this, quickly grabbed his arm, his gentle demeanor replaced by a stern warning, "The Central Power Battery cannot be approached, and its emitted energy must not be touched.

It will annihilate you from head to toe."

The Power Battery was the most important and dangerous thing on Oa, even for Lanterns who also wielded will-power; the energy it contained was too terrifying.

Whoosh!

"You stop him in a moment; don't let him disturb me," Ron said slowly to Catwoman beside him, moving his arm and easily flinging Tomar Re away.

Boom!

Tomar Re was violently flung away, his body crashing heavily into the cliff of the hollow underground, creating a crater several meters deep, his body deeply embedded in the rock.

Protected by his Green Lantern Ring, he suffered no injuries, though his head felt a bit dazed from the impact.

"Stop him?

Master, I really want to help, but how can I stop him?" Catwoman's smile became even stiffer.

She was only able to be there because Ron had enveloped her in a light sphere; if he withdrew it, she would immediately fall to her death.

"It's over; this is truly bad.

Soon, I won't just be wanted by the U.S. Police, but by the entire Universe."

Causing trouble at the headquarters of the Universe Police, this was simply too bold and thrilling.

Crack.

Ron extended his hand and pointed.

The Vibranium collar on Catwoman's neck burst with lightning.

She immediately felt power surge through her limbs, lightning shot from her eyes, her hair flew, emitting a majestic divine aura, as if she had transformed into a female Thor.

Having copied Odin's template, Ron knew everything Odin did.

"For example, through a spell, using an object as a medium to bestow power upon others."

The spell Odin placed on Mjolnir, "Whoever is worthy shall wield Thor's Hammer," was essentially a spell for a god to choose a messenger.

The person who lifted the Hammer didn't gain Thor's power, but rather power bestowed by Odin, equivalent to Thor's.

"My body… that power is back." Catwoman looked at her lightning-emitting hands with a hint of excitement.

But then she looked at the cliff beneath her feet and felt a slight dizziness.

"I… I still can't fly, it seems." How could a God of Thunder not be able to fly?

However, Catwoman couldn't control the divine power very well.

"Lantern, stop your actions." Tomar Re, breaking free from the embedded rock, shouted sternly, this time conjuring energy metal chains and flinging them at Ron, trying to stop him.

Crack!

Ron's eyes shot out lightning, sweeping across, and the energy chains were severed.

He channeled the power of his Green Lantern Ring, opened his palm, and a gem-like Green Lantern Ring appeared, flying towards Catwoman and automatically donning her finger.

A green energy battlesuit, with the Green Lantern symbol formed on its chest, enveloped her body.

"A Green Lantern Ring?" Catwoman asked, confused.

"This… this is a Green Lantern Ring copy?" Seeing this, Tomar Re was utterly shocked: "How is that possible!"

The Green Lantern Ring is the most powerful weapon in the Universe.

It can do many things.

Besides flight, invisibility, and energy constructs, there are also advanced abilities that only a very few Lanterns with extremely strong will can achieve through years of training.

For example, creating a Green Lantern Ring replica that doesn't require a battery, can be used for several hours at a time, and allows the use of Lantern power without requiring a strong will.

"You've only had the Green Lantern Ring for less than a day!" He looked at Ron in disbelief.

"In the long history of the Corps, only a handful of Lanterns have been able to replicate a Green Lantern Ring.

No matter how strong one's will, such intricate manipulation requires a long period of trial and practice."

"The will-power you use is essentially just a form of power," Ron replied calmly, turning to attempt to enter the power battery.

Setting aside the Black King's energy manipulation, Odin's five millennia of research and experience with divine power had brought him to a near-perfect mastery in the application of energy and power.

Whoosh!

"Stop!" Tomar Re broke out of his shock and roared, this time conjuring energy metal chains and flinging them at Ron.

The Central Power Battery concerned the safety of the entire Corps; no mistakes could be tolerated!

Ron had his back to him, not even looking.

Clang!

In mid-air, a giant green scissor materialized, neatly cutting the chains.

Catwoman, wearing the Green Lantern uniform, looked curiously at the Ring on her hand, as if she had found a fun toy.

Then she lifted her head, with an elegant demeanor and a hint of slyness at the corner of her mouth, and said, "Sorry, I can't let you disturb my Master."

"But I also don't want to assault a Police officer, so I suggest you just stay put."
