Lacy sat at the kitchen table and looked through a photo album she had in her hands. She was smiling as she flipped through the pages, careful too so as to avoid getting a paper cut, knowing it would sting. She flinched just thinking about it.
It was a good day outside, one of the few situations where it was sunny outside here in Ashley. No rain, no snow-just pure sun.
DOOM, DOOM, DOOM!
No, it wasn't a hurricane that was sounding off, that was her twelve year old daughter, Aurora. She had grown so quickly throughout the years. Following after her, was Adama, an Alpha who was Aurora's eight year old sister.
"Off to school, Mommy!"
Lacy laughed at her daughters; they were so sweet to each other and her. She hugged them and gave them a kiss each on their forehead, wishing them a good day.
SLAM!
Lacy flinched at her daughters slamming the door shut while they skipped out the door to the elementary school that was down the street.
