Theresa sat in her office with the door closed. The twins walked into the building, heading toward the office of their mother. Theresa could smell her children, smell their need was urgent.
It was Salmona who came through the door first, followed by Samantha. They walked to her desk while Theresa leaned back in her chair.
"What did I do to see my two beautiful Alphas standing in front of me?" Their mother said, her body leaning forward.
"We found Lacy, and we're going to go get her," Samantha said.
If Theresa had the privilege, she would have turned paler than she already was. But she smiled and turned her chair around, giving them her back.
She was disappointed to hear this news and stood up. She had been trying so hard to make Lacy see that her and Theresa would be good together. That it was okay if Theresa dueled her daughters. It looked like it wasn't going to happen now. She turned to face them. "How did you learn her whereabouts?"
"A bounty hunter," Salmona said.
