Then, with a smirk, he turned around and flew back to his team.
From the Universe 6 side, Champa sighed deeply.
"Hit… you did your best."
Even he, though angry about losing, couldn't blame his fighter.
There was a reason why Champa was so angry.
In the past, he even threatened to destroy Hit and the others.
Back then, he had fallen for Monaka — a weak fighter who could barely throw a punch. But Hit had faked the match, pretending to lose just to make Goku win. That humiliation burned deep inside Champa's pride.
But this time… things were different.
Hit had fought with everything he had. He didn't fake anything. He simply lost.
Champa could only sigh. "If you lose, you lose… it's just six Super Dragon Balls anyway," he muttered, trying to sound calm, but his voice shook with anger.
"Cabba, Magetta. Bring Hit back," Champa ordered, his face dark with frustration.
The two Saiyans quickly nodded and flew down to carry the unconscious Hit from beneath the ring.
Champa crossed his arms and looked away, face still twisted in rage.
Not only did he lose the match, but he also lost the Earth's food and the Super Dragon Balls.
And worst of all — Beerus would never let him live this down.
He clenched his fists. "I'm never hearing the end of this…"
"Lord Champa," Vados suddenly said softly beside him.
"What is it now?!" he snapped.
"You might want to… look at the ring," Vados replied calmly.
Champa frowned, irritated, but turned anyway —
and what he saw made his heart freeze.
His eyes went wide. "N-No way…"
He gasped, his whole body trembling.
Over at Universe 7's platform.
Vegeta had just returned, his aura fading as the crowd cheered.
The victory was clear — Universe 7 had won.
Beerus leaned back on his seat, smirking proudly. "Hmph, looks like letting you train under me wasn't such a bad idea after all."
Vegeta crossed his arms, giving a cold snort. "Tch."
Before Beerus could say anything else, Whis's tone turned serious.
"Lord Beerus… you might want to look at the ring."
"Huh? What's with everyone today?" Beerus muttered, turning lazily toward the arena —
And then he froze.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Beerus screamed, jumping up so fast his fur stood on end.
Everyone stared at him, confused — until they too looked down.
Standing in the middle of the arena… were two tall, thin figures in glowing colorfull robes.
And between them — a small child.
The air felt heavy.
Even the space around them seemed to tremble.
That child was Zeno — King of all, the being who ruled over all universes.
Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo stepped to the edge, staring down at the ring.
"When… when did they even appear?" Piccolo whispered.
He hadn't sensed a thing — not even a flicker of energy.
"L-Lord… Zeno?!"
Both Beerus and Champa shouted at once, their voices shaking.
"What?!" Goku blinked, confused. "Zeno ? You mean that little guy?"
He remembered the temple from the future timeline — how the Grand Priest guided him through the corridors of time. He had imagined Zeno to be some enormous, terrifying god.
But now… he was just a kid?
"Is he… also a god?" Gohan asked, his eyes full of curiosity.
Vegeta didn't speak, but his sharp eyes turned to Beerus, silently demanding an answer.
Beerus swallowed hard. "King Zeno… is the supreme being. He stands above all twelve universes. Even gods of destruction bow to him."
Everyone went silent.
Even Vegeta's face twitched in shock.
That innocent-looking child… was the ruler of everything?
One by one, the angels, gods of destruction, and warriors from both universes gathered on the broken arena floor.
Normally, the gods acted superior — full of pride and power.
But now, sweat rolled down their faces.
Because in front of King Zeno… they weren't gods.
They were servants.
If he wished, he could erase them with a single thought.
"Welcome, Grand Zeno!"
Both Beerus and Champa bent their bodies ninety degrees, their hands shaking.
The entire arena went quiet.
Even the air felt like it had stopped moving.
Zeno looked at them with a blank, innocent face. "Mm." He only gave a small nod.
"Welcome, Lord Zeno," Whis said softly, bowing.
Vados followed with a calm smile. "It's been a long time since you visited, Lord Zeno. Are you doing well?"
Zeno just replied with a short, gentle, "Yes."
That single word made every god shiver.
Even the Supreme Kais had fallen to their knees, trembling and unable to look up.
Zeno tilted his head slightly, speaking in his soft, childlike tone.
"I saw something interesting today. You were all doing your own little event. I came to remind you… while playing, don't forget your duties. Gods of Destruction shouldn't be lazy."
Beerus instantly straightened up. "O-Of course not, Lord Zeno! I'm always working hard to destroy what needs to be destroyed!"
Champa forced a grin. "Y-Yes, same here! My universe's destruction quota is already done!"
Zeno blinked at them quietly, as if seeing straight through their lies.
And then… the angels spoke up.
Whis smiled politely. "Actually, Lord Beerus has been a little distracted lately. He's more interested in sleeping and eating than destroying."
Beerus's jaw dropped. "Whis! Don't you dare—!"
Vados giggled softly, tears almost forming in her eyes. "Lord Champa is the same. After every destruction, I prepare a healthy meal for him, but he always says my cooking tastes bad…"
Champa's face turned red. "Vados! Stop it already!"
The other quietly watched — some biting their lips, trying not to laugh.
Beerus and Champa stood frozen, sweat dripping down their necks.
They couldn't even speak.
Because in front of Zeno… one wrong word meant erasure of not only them but of their Universe too.
Zeno noticed the little thoughts of the two Angels and, on a whim, decided to play along.
"Hmm… since they like to be lazy, let's replace the God of Destruction," Zeno said with a serious face after thinking for a moment.
"What?!!" ×2
Two soul-crushing screams came from Beerus and Champa. The moment Zeno spoke, both Gods of Destruction felt their hearts stop. They thought their lives were over.
Right then, the expressions on Beerus and Champa's faces were so twisted and funny that they could've become perfect memes.
"Hehehe~~ It's just a joke." Seeing their terrified faces, Zeno laughed happily.
Beerus and Champa both sighed in relief after realizing it was just a joke. Still, it felt like they had just gone through Hell itself.
After all, Zeno's single word could decide their life or death.
Without their titles as Gods of Destruction, they would either be retired… or erased.
"Actually," Zeno continued, "besides reminding you two not to be lazy, I came for another reason."
"The martial arts competition you held this time—it was really interesting! So fun!!"
"I'm thinking of holding a universe-wide martial arts tournament next time!"
His words shocked everyone. None of the Gods or fighters expected this.
There were twelve universes, each filled with countless beings. If Universe 6 and Universe 7 had such strong warriors, then other universes must have powerful ones too.
[The Universal Martial Arts Tournament… I'll show everyone my true power there!!] Vegeta clenched his fists, his blood boiling with excitement.
[If I join that tournament, I can face even stronger opponents—and prove myself to my father!] thought Gohan, his eyes glowing with determination.
He made a promise in his heart—to show everyone across all universes just how strong he truly was.
"The martial arts competition across universes… that sounds exciting," said Goku, his grin wide. The battle maniac inside him was already fired up.
If this tournament didn't risk anyone's life, he wanted it to start right now!
But then something completely unexpected happened.
Zeno bypassed the Angels and Gods of Destruction and walked straight up to Goku.
"???" Goku blinked in confusion.
He and Zeno stared at each other—big eyes meeting big eyes. Goku had no idea why the King of Everything had suddenly approached him.
Zeno looked him up and down, then smiled and nodded like he had confirmed something.
"You're very different," said Zeno cheerfully. "Can you tell me your name?"
Those words made everyone freeze. Even Zeno's guards looked shocked. The Gods of Destruction and Angels couldn't believe what they just heard.
Inside, Goku thought nervously, Does he somehow know I came from another world?
Still, he smiled and answered honestly, "My name's Goku. Son Goku."
"Son Goku… I'll call you Goku from now on!" Zeno said happily, his tone unusually friendly.
That friendliness made everyone tense up even more. Beerus, Champa, and even the guards started sweating. They had no idea why Grant Zeno was acting this way—but if Goku said or did the wrong thing, they'd all be in danger.
Goku scratched his head and said, "Uh… hello, Zeno." Then, out of habit, he stretched out his hand.
"Huh?" Zeno tilted his head but mimicked Goku's gesture, reaching out too.
As their hands met, Goku tried to shake his hand—but Zeno's body was so light that Goku accidentally lifted him up and swung him playfully!
"Waaaah!!" Zeno shouted in surprise, but he was laughing.
Everyone else, though, froze in horror.
Beerus and Champa almost fainted. The two guards looked ready to jump in at any moment, and the Angels stood silent.
Goku quickly put Zeno down.
"You're really interesting," Zeno said, his eyes sparkling. "I like you a lot!"
"Goku, when we hold the Universal Power Tournament, make sure you join, okay?"
He was completely taken by Goku's carefree personality.
He had already felt Goku's powerful energy earlier when watching from another dimension—and now he wanted to see Goku fight with his own eyes.
"Of course!" Goku said with a big smile. "I'm really looking forward to it,Zeno!"
"Good." Zeno smiled, glancing at Vegeta and Gohan. "You're all amazing too. I want to see you all in the tournament."
Vegeta and Gohan both nodded respectfully, trying not to say anything that could make the King angry.
Satisfied, Zeno returned to his guards. They bowed and escorted him away from the Nameless Star.
As soon as he left, the heavy tension in the air disappeared.
Beerus and Champa let out a long breath of relief.
To serve the King was like standing next to a sleeping dragon—one wrong move, and you're gone.
"The Tournament of Power…" Goku repeated softly, his mind full of excitement. Then he turned to Beerus and asked curiously, "Hey Beerus, what's the relationship between Zeno and the Grand Priest?"
"Grand Priest?! You actually know about him?!" Beerus' eyes widened. He couldn't believe Goku had even heard that name.
Goku nodded. "Yeah. After I fought you, I went to another world. The Grand Priest there called me, and I came back to this world through a time-space corridor."
He raised his right hand and showed them the glowing Time Ring on his finger.
"And this thing… it chose me as its master."
