Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Deeper Mysteries and Growing Bonds

[Ok This might be a little shorter chapter than the last but efforts there and everything Comment so i can improve the future chapters!!]

Leo woke to the sound of something crashing downstairs, followed by Stan's creative use of language that would make a sailor blush. Sunlight was streaming through the attic window, and he could hear Mabel singing what sounded like an original song about pancakes and friendship.

The System flickered to life as he sat up:

[Good Morning, User Leo!]

[Daily Quest: Beginner's Routine - ACTIVE]

[New Notification: Unusual electromagnetic readings detected in the forest]

[Warning: Gideon Gleeful has been asking questions about you around town]

[Social Link Update: Multiple characters showing increased interest]

Leo rubbed his eyes, still adjusting to waking up with a heads-up display. "Great. Gideon's already making moves."

"What?" Dipper mumbled from his bed, hair sticking up at impossible angles.

"Nothing, just... talking to myself again." Leo stretched, feeling the pleasant ache of muscles that had actually been worked. The System's enhancement was subtle but noticeable—he felt stronger, more energetic than he had in years.

Downstairs, they found the source of the crash: Soos was attempting to fix what appeared to be a vintage arcade cabinet while Stan watched with the expression of a man watching his money disappear.

"Dude, I think I almost got it working," Soos said cheerfully, completely ignoring the sparks shooting from the machine. "Just gotta... reconnect this wire to... oh."

The arcade cabinet promptly exploded in a shower of colorful sparks.

"SOOS!" Stan bellowed.

"Sorry, Mr. Pines! But look, now it's got this cool light show feature!"

Mabel bounced into the room wearing a sweater that appeared to be covered in tiny disco balls. "Good morning, mystery fighters! Today's agenda includes: investigating weird forest stuff, bonding as a team, and maybe finding Leo a girlfriend because he's too cute to be single!"

"Mabel!" Dipper protested, his face turning red.

"What? I'm just being practical! Summer romances are like... mandatory!"

Leo couldn't help but laugh. "I think I can handle my own love life, thanks."

"Can you though?" Mabel squinted at him suspiciously. "Because yesterday you talked to Pacifica Northwest for like ten minutes and didn't even get her number. That's like... basic flirting 101!"

[System Note: Mabel has appointed herself your wingwoman]

[This will complicate things significantly]

[Romance subplot acceleration detected]

"Speaking of yesterday," Dipper interrupted, clearly trying to change the subject, "we should investigate those electromagnetic readings. The journal mentions that anomalous creatures are drawn to areas with high supernatural energy."

Stan looked up from glaring at the smoking arcade cabinet. "Electromagnetic what-now? Kids, please tell me you're not gonna go chasing more weird junk in the forest. I've got tourists coming today, and I need you here to help separate them from their money."

"But Grunkle Stan," Mabel pleaded, "we're mystery solvers! It's like... our thing! And Leo's really good at fighting monsters!"

"I never said I was good at—"

"He totally is!" Mabel continued enthusiastically. "He fought a demon raccoon with just a stick! A STICK, Grunkle Stan! That's like... superhero level stuff!"

Stan studied Leo with newfound interest. "Demon raccoon, huh? You know what, kid? Maybe you are good for something besides eating my food and taking up space."

[Reputation with Stan Pines: +5]

[Status Update: "Tolerated Employee" → "Potentially Useful"]

Wendy wandered in through the back door, looking as effortlessly cool as always. "Morning, dudes. Whoa, what happened to the arcade cabinet?"

"Soos happened," Stan grumbled.

"Ah. Say no more." She noticed Leo and grinned. "Hey, new guy. Heard you had an interesting day yesterday. Standing up to Gideon and charming Pacifica Northwest? Not bad for a rookie."

Leo blinked. "How did you already—"

"Small town, dude. News travels fast. Especially when it involves the local psychic brat getting shown up by someone new."

[Social Link: Wendy Corduroy - Level Up!]

[Status: "Casual Acquaintance" → "Impressed Friend"]

[New Ability Unlocked: Local Intel - Wendy will share town gossip and useful information]

The bell above the door chimed, and Leo's heart nearly stopped as a familiar voice drifted in from the gift shop.

"Well, well, well. Isn't this just precious."

Gideon Gleeful stood in the doorway, his white suit pristine and his pale blue eyes scanning the room like a predator sizing up prey. Behind him stood a mountain of a man in an expensive black suit—his bodyguard, Leo remembered from the show.

"Gideon," Stan said warily. "What brings you to my humble establishment? Come to see how a real businessman runs things?"

"Oh, Stanford," Gideon replied with that sickeningly sweet smile, "I'm not here for business. I'm here to meet your... new employee." His gaze locked onto Leo with laser focus. "Word around town is that you've hired someone quite... interesting."

The temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees. Leo could feel the psychic pressure again, that invasive feeling of someone trying to push into his mind, but this time the System's defenses held firm.

[Psychic Attack Detected]

[Mental Resistance: ACTIVATED]

[Gideon's influence: NULLIFIED]

[Warning: Subject is becoming increasingly frustrated]

Leo watched as Gideon's confident expression flickered, genuine confusion replacing calculated charm for just a moment.

"Leo Morgan," Leo said evenly, not moving from his spot by the counter. "And you must be the famous Gideon Gleeful. I've heard a lot about you."

"Have you now?" Gideon's voice carried a dangerous edge. "And what exactly have you heard?"

"That you put on quite a show."

The double meaning wasn't lost on anyone in the room. Dipper and Mabel exchanged worried glances, while Stan's eyes narrowed suspiciously. Wendy straightened up, her hand moving subtly toward the baseball bat she kept behind the counter.

Gideon's smile widened, showing too many teeth. "Indeed I do. Perhaps you'd like to attend one of my performances? I think you'd find it... educational."

"Maybe another time," Leo replied calmly. "I'm pretty busy these days."

"Yes, I'm sure you are." Gideon's gaze swept over the twins, lingering on Mabel a bit too long for Leo's comfort. "Such interesting company you keep. Young minds are so... impressionable, don't you think?"

That was definitely a threat.

Leo took a step forward, and he could swear he felt something crackle in the air around him—not psychic pressure this time, but something else. Something from the System.

[Combat Mode: STANDBY]

[Warning: Hostile entity detected]

[Recommend: Strategic withdrawal or defensive posture]

"Is there something you needed?" Leo asked, his voice carrying just enough edge to make it clear he wasn't backing down. "Because like I said, we're pretty busy."

For a long moment, Gideon stared at him with those unsettling pale blue eyes. The room was completely silent except for the distant tick of the grandfather clock and Soos's nervous humming.

Then, unexpectedly, Gideon laughed—a sound like wind chimes in a storm.

"Oh, I like you," he said, clapping his small hands together. "You're going to make this summer so much more... entertaining." He turned to leave, then paused at the doorway. "Do give my regards to the lovely Mabel. Such a sweet girl. It would be a shame if anything... unpleasant... were to happen to her."

The threat was crystal clear, and Leo felt something cold and dangerous settle in his chest.

"Gideon," he said quietly, and something in his tone made everyone turn to look at him. "Let me be very clear about something. If you so much as think about hurting anyone in this family, you'll discover that there are things in this world scarier than psychic ten-year-olds with god complexes."

The psychic pressure slammed into him again, stronger this time, but the System's defenses held. Leo didn't even flinch.

Gideon's eyes widened in genuine shock. Then his expression twisted into something ugly and dangerous.

"This isn't over," he hissed, and stormed out with his bodyguard trailing behind.

The silence stretched for several heartbeats after they left.

"Okay," Wendy said finally, "that was intense. What the heck was that about?"

Stan was looking at Leo with something approaching respect. "Kid, I don't know what you just did, but that little creep's been getting under my skin for months. Nobody talks to him like that."

"He threatened Mabel," Leo said simply. "That's not acceptable."

[Social Link: Stan Pines - LEVEL UP!]

[Status: "Potentially Useful" → "Grudging Respect"]

[New Ability Unlocked: Stan's Backup - Stan will actively support you in conflicts]

[Social Link: Mabel Pines - LEVEL UP!]

[Status: "Trusted Friend" → "Protected Family"]

[New Ability Unlocked: Mabel's Unwavering Loyalty]

Mabel launched herself at Leo in another bone-crushing hug. "That was amazing! You were all cool and scary and protective! Like a knight in shining armor, but with better hair!"

"I wasn't that cool," Leo muttered, but he was smiling.

"Dude," Dipper said, his voice filled with admiration, "how did you do that? He was using his psychic powers—I could feel it—but they didn't work on you at all."

Leo's brain scrambled for an explanation. "I... have a strong will?"

"That's not how psychic powers work," Dipper said suspiciously. "There's something you're not telling us."

[Major Decision Point] [Option 1: Reveal partial truth about the System]

[Option 2: Create a believable lie about your background]

[Option 3: Deflect with humor and distraction]

[Option 4: Tell them about your otherworldly origins]

Before Leo could decide how to respond, the System chimed with an urgent alert:

[EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION]

[Massive supernatural energy spike detected - Forest Sector 7]

[Multiple anomalous entities converging on location]

[Estimated threat level: SEVERE]

[Recommended action: Investigation with full party support]

"Uh, guys?" Leo said, the System's map overlaying his vision with pulsing red warnings. "I think we've got bigger problems than Gideon right now."

"What do you mean?" Dipper asked.

"Remember those electromagnetic readings you mentioned? They just spiked. Big time. And I think whatever's causing them is about to make itself known."

As if summoned by his words, a low, unearthly howl echoed across Gravity Falls, coming from deep in the forest. It was followed by another, and another, until the air was filled with an otherworldly chorus that made everyone's skin crawl.

"Okay," Wendy said, grabbing her baseball bat, "that's definitely not normal, even for this town."

Stan was already moving toward his office. "I'm getting my crossbow. Kids, you stay here and—"

"No way," Mabel interrupted. "We're mystery solvers! This is exactly the kind of thing we're supposed to investigate!"

"Absolutely not. It's too dangerous."

"Grunkle Stan," Dipper said seriously, opening Journal #3, "we're the only ones who know what to look for. The journal has information about these creatures, and Leo's already proven he can handle them."

Stan looked conflicted, his protective instincts warring with practicality.

Another howl split the air, closer this time.

"Look," Leo said, making a decision, "how about a compromise? We go investigate, but we stay together, we stay careful, and at the first sign of real danger, we retreat. Deal?"

Stan studied him for a long moment. "You really think you can keep these kids safe?"

"I'll die before I let anything happen to them."

[System Alert: Oath Registered]

[New Ability Unlocked: Protective Instinct - Enhanced combat performance when allies are threatened]

[Warning: This is a binding promise. Failure will result in severe system penalties.]

The sincerity in Leo's voice must have convinced Stan, because he nodded grimly.

"Alright. But we do this smart. Wendy, grab the emergency kit from the back room. Soos, you're staying here to watch the shop. Kids..." He looked at the twins seriously. "You follow Leo's lead, and if he says run, you run. Got it?"

"Got it!" they chorused.

[Quest Updated: The Mystery Trio → Forest Investigation]

[Objective: Investigate supernatural disturbances in Forest Sector 7]

[Party Members: Leo, Dipper, Mabel, Stan, Wendy]

[Threat Level: SEVERE]

[Rewards: Major EXP gain, new abilities, plot advancement]

[Failure: Party member death/injury, timeline disruption]

As they gathered their supplies and prepared to head into the forest, Leo couldn't shake the feeling that this was the moment everything would change. The System's warnings were more urgent than he'd ever seen them, and the howls from the forest spoke of something far more dangerous than a simple anomaly beast.

But looking at his friends—because that's what they were now, he realized, his friends—Leo felt something he hadn't experienced in either of his lives: the absolute certainty that he belonged somewhere, with people he would fight for.

[Character Development Milestone Reached]

[Leo Morgan: Isolated Survivor → Protective Leader]

[New Trait Unlocked: Pack Leader - Bonus to all abilities when leading a group]

"Alright, team," he said, shouldering his backpack and checking his makeshift weapons. "Let's go see what's trying to destroy our town."

Mabel cheered, Dipper grinned with nervous excitement, Stan checked his crossbow one more time, and Wendy spun her baseball bat like a pro.

They stepped out into the morning sunlight, heading toward the forest where something ancient and hungry was waiting for them.

The real adventure was about to begin.

The forest was wrong.

That was Leo's first thought as they made their way along the hiking trail. Everything looked normal on the surface—pine trees stretching toward the sky, dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy, the usual sounds of birds and small animals going about their business. But underneath it all was a sense of wrongness, like reality was slightly off-kilter.

[Environmental Alert]

[Supernatural energy concentration: 847% above normal]

[Multiple hostile entities detected within 500-meter radius]

[Recommendation: Proceed with extreme caution]

"The readings are off the charts," Dipper whispered, checking some kind of handheld device he'd pulled from his vest. "Whatever's causing this, it's big."

Stan had his crossbow loaded and ready, his usual jovial demeanor replaced by grim determination. "Stay close, everyone. And remember—if something jumps out at us, aim for center mass."

"What if it doesn't have a center mass?" Mabel asked cheerfully, apparently unbothered by the ominous atmosphere.

"Then we improvise."

They'd been walking for about fifteen minutes when Wendy suddenly stopped, holding up her hand for silence. "You guys hear that?"

Leo strained his ears and caught it—a low, rhythmic chanting coming from deeper in the forest. It was in a language he didn't recognize, but something about it made his skin crawl.

[System Alert: Eldritch language detected]

[Translation: Summoning ritual in progress]

[Estimated completion time: 23 minutes]

[WARNING: DO NOT let the ritual complete]

"We need to move faster," Leo said urgently. "Whatever's happening, it's about to get a lot worse."

They picked up the pace, following the sound of chanting through increasingly dense undergrowth. The wrongness in the air was getting stronger, making Leo's teeth itch and his vision occasionally blur at the edges.

Finally, they reached a clearing Leo recognized from the show—the same spot where he'd fought the anomaly beast just two nights ago. But now it looked completely different.

The ground was covered in intricate symbols carved directly into the earth, all of them glowing with that same sickly green light. At the center of the circle stood a figure in a hooded robe, arms raised toward the sky as they continued their chanting. Around the edges of the clearing, at least a dozen anomaly beasts prowled restlessly, their eyes blazing like emeralds.

And floating above it all, barely visible but definitely there, was a familiar triangular shadow.

"Bill," Leo whispered, his blood turning to ice.

"What?" Dipper asked, but his question was answered as the shadow suddenly solidified into the unmistakable form of Bill Cipher, his single eye gleaming with malicious amusement.

"Well, well, well!" Bill's voice echoed across the clearing, causing several birds to fall out of the trees. "If it isn't my favorite party crashers! And you brought friends! How delightfully... messy."

The hooded figure stopped chanting and turned toward them. Leo's heart nearly stopped when he saw the face beneath the hood—it was human, but wrong somehow. The features were too sharp, the eyes too bright, and when they opened their mouth, rows of needle-sharp teeth were visible.

[Enemy Identified: Cultist (Possessed)]

[Threat Level: High]

[Special Abilities: Enhanced strength, supernatural durability, eldritch magic]

[Enemy Identified: Bill Cipher (Manifestation)]

[Threat Level: MAXIMUM] [WARNING: This is beyond your current capabilities]

[Recommendation: RETREAT IMMEDIATELY]

"Everyone back away slowly," Leo said quietly, his voice steady despite the terror coursing through his veins. "Don't make any sudden movements."

But it was too late. The anomaly beasts had noticed them, and their collective growl was like thunder rolling across the forest floor.

"Oh, don't leave so soon!" Bill cackled, snapping his fingers. "The party's just getting started! And I've been SO curious about our new friend here." His eye focused on Leo with uncomfortable intensity. "There's something different about you, kid. Something that doesn't quite fit."

[System Alert: BILL CIPHER IS SCANNING YOU] [Deploying countermeasures...]

[SUCCESS: Scan blocked]

[Warning: Bill is now aware that you have supernatural protection]

Bill's expression shifted from amusement to genuine surprise. "Well, that's interesting. Very interesting indeed."

The cultist raised their hands, and Leo could see power gathering between their fingers like dark lightning.

"Kids," Stan said grimly, raising his crossbow, "I think our peaceful investigation just became a fight for survival."

"What do we do?" Mabel asked, and for the first time since Leo had met her, she sounded genuinely scared.

Leo looked around at his friends—his family—and felt that cold determination settle in his chest again. The System was right; this was way beyond their capabilities. Bill Cipher was essentially a god, and they were just a bunch of teenagers and a conman with a crossbow.

But sometimes you didn't get to choose your battles.

"We do what we always do," Leo said, pulling out his improvised weapon—a hiking pole with a knife duct-taped to the end. "We stick together, we watch each other's backs, and we make sure everyone gets home safe."

[Combat Initiated] [Party Formation: Defensive Circle] [Leo: Front line fighter] [Stan: Ranged support] [Wendy: Mobile striker] [Dipper: Tactical support] [Mabel: ...Unknown role]

The cultist finished their spell and hurled a bolt of dark energy straight at the group. Leo dove forward, pushing Mabel out of the way as the bolt seared past, leaving a smoking crater in the tree behind them.

"MABEL!" Dipper shouted, but she was already rolling to her feet, apparently unharmed.

The anomaly beasts charged.

Leo met the first one head-on, his improvised spear finding its mark in the creature's shoulder. Green ichor sprayed across his arms, burning like acid, but he held on grimly as the beast thrashed and tried to shake him off.

Stan's crossbow bolt took down a second creature, the silver tip he'd somehow acquired proving surprisingly effective against the supernatural flesh.

Wendy was a blur of motion, her baseball bat crackling with electricity as she swung it—when had she gotten an electric bat? Leo didn't have time to wonder as another beast leaped at him from the side.

[Combat Status Update]

[Leo: Health 85/100, Mana 45/50]

[Quickstep ability activated]

[Time dilation: 2 seconds]

Everything slowed down around Leo as his enhanced reflexes kicked in. He could see the trajectory of the attacking beast, could calculate exactly where he needed to be to avoid its claws while positioning for a counterattack.

He rolled left, came up with his spear extended, and drove it deep into the creature's chest as it sailed past him.

The time dilation ended, and normal speed resumed with jarring suddenness.

"Leo, behind you!" Dipper called out, and Leo spun to see another beast charging directly at him.

This time, he wasn't fast enough.

The creature's claws raked across his back, sending him stumbling forward with white-hot pain racing up his spine. He could feel blood soaking through his shirt.

[Health: 85/100 → 62/100]

[Bleeding status: Active]

[Warning: Sustained damage may result in combat penalty]

But before the beast could follow up its attack, something unexpected happened.

Mabel Pines, armed with nothing but her grappling hook and apparently fueled by pure righteous fury, launched herself at the creature with a war cry that would have made Viking berserkers proud.

"NOBODY HURTS MY FRIENDS!" she screamed, wrapping her grappling hook's line around the beast's neck and swinging around to land on its back.

[Combat Status: Mabel Pines has unlocked RAGE MODE]

[All stats increased by 200%]

[New ability: Unstoppable Force]

[Duration: 60 seconds]

Leo stared in amazement as Mabel proceeded to wrestle a supernatural creature twice her size into submission through sheer determination and what appeared to be an improvised sleeper hold.

"GO MABEL!" Wendy cheered, taking out another beast with a swing that sent electricity arcing through the air.

The tide of battle was turning in their favor, but Leo knew they couldn't keep this up forever. There were still too many creatures, and the cultist was preparing another spell. Worse, Bill was watching the whole thing with obvious amusement, like they were putting on a show for his entertainment.

[System Alert: New objective available]

[Disrupt the summoning ritual]

[Warning: This will require getting close to the cultist]

[Probability of success: 23%]

[Probability of survival: 47%]

Leo gritted his teeth. Those weren't great odds, but they were the only chance they had.

"Dipper!" he called out. "The ritual circle! We need to break the symbols!"

Dipper's eyes widened as he understood. "The carved lines! If we disrupt them, the spell should collapse!"

"On it!" Wendy called out, charging toward the nearest symbol with her bat raised.

The cultist saw what they were planning and snarled, redirecting their attack toward Wendy. Dark energy lanced out, but Stan was there, tackling the teenager out of the way and taking the hit himself.

"STAN!" Leo shouted as the old man hit the ground hard.

"I'm okay!" Stan called back, though he was clearly hurt. "Just... peachy!"

[Party Member Status: Stan Pines - Health Critical]

[Protective Instinct: ACTIVATED]

[All combat abilities enhanced by 150%]

The world seemed to sharpen around Leo as his protective instincts took over. Every movement became precise, every decision crystal clear. He could see the pattern of the battle, could identify exactly what needed to happen for everyone to survive.

He sprinted toward the cultist, dodging anomaly beasts and spell blasts with superhuman agility. Behind him, he could hear Dipper shouting instructions, Mabel's ongoing war cry, and the crack of Wendy's bat against supernatural flesh.

The cultist saw him coming and raised their hands for a killing blow.

Leo didn't slow down.

At the last second, he dropped into a slide, passing beneath the spell blast and driving his improvised spear up into the cultist's chest. The blade found its mark, and the possessed human let out a shriek that shattered windows in town three miles away.

[Critical Hit!]

[Cultist: Defeated]

[Summoning Ritual: DISRUPTED]

[Mass XP Gain: +500 points]

The green light from the ritual circle flickered and died. The remaining anomaly beasts collapsed as whatever force had been animating them dispersed. The wrongness in the air began to fade.

But Bill Cipher was still there, floating above the clearing with his arms crossed and an expression of mild disappointment.

"Well," he said conversationally, "that was anticlimactic. I was really hoping for more... screaming."

Leo struggled to his feet, his makeshift weapon still dripping with ichor. "Sorry to disappoint."

"Oh, you didn't disappoint at all!" Bill's demeanor shifted back to manic cheer. "In fact, you've been absolutely fascinating! I haven't seen anyone resist psychic manipulation that effectively since... well, let's just say it's been a while."

[System Alert: Bill is becoming increasingly interested in you]

[This is extremely dangerous]

[Recommend: Avoid further interaction]

"But here's the thing," Bill continued, drifting closer to the ground. "I'm starting to think you're not from around here. Are you, Leo?"

The way he said Leo's name sent chills down the teenager's spine.

"I don't know what you mean."

"Oh, I think you do. There's something about you that doesn't quite fit with this little backwater dimension. Something that suggests you've seen things... from a different perspective."

Leo's mouth went dry. Did Bill know? Could he somehow sense that Leo wasn't originally from this world?

"But that's a mystery for another day!" Bill announced cheerfully, apparently losing interest as quickly as he'd gained it. "I've got other dimensions to terrorize, other realities to unravel. This was fun though! We should do it again sometime!"

He began to fade, becoming translucent.

"Oh, and Leo?" he called out as he disappeared. "Give my regards to Stanford when you see him. Tell him I'm looking forward to our reunion."

And then he was gone, leaving nothing but the fading echo of maniacal laughter.

The clearing fell silent except for the sound of everyone catching their breath.

"Is... is it over?" Mabel asked, still sitting on the defeated anomaly beast.

"I think so," Leo said, slumping against a tree as the adrenaline began to fade. His back was on fire where the beast had clawed him, and he was pretty sure he had at least three other injuries he hadn't noticed during the fight.

"Grunkle Stan!" Dipper rushed over to where the old man was sitting against a stump, looking dazed but alert.

"I'm fine, kid. Takes more than some supernatural mumbo-jumbo to keep Stanford Pines down."

Wendy walked over to Leo, her electric bat still sparking occasionally. "Dude, that was insane. You just charged a magic cultist with a stick."

"It was a very pointy stick."

"Still insane."

[Quest Complete: Forest Investigation]

[Massive XP Gain: +750 points]

[Level Up! Lv. 3 → Lv. 5]

[Multiple new abilities unlocked]

[Party bond strengthened significantly]

[Achievement Unlocked: Against All Odds]

[Defeated a supernatural threat far above your level through teamwork and determination]

[Achievement Unlocked: Protector]

[Put yourself in harm's way to protect your friends]

[New Title Earned: Guardian of Gravity Falls]

As the System notifications scrolled past, Leo felt a profound sense of accomplishment mixed with exhaustion. They'd done it. They'd actually faced down a threat that should have been completely beyond them and won.

But Bill's parting words echoed in his mind. The dream demon knew something was different about him, and that was a problem. A big problem.

"Hey," Mabel said, bouncing over with her usual endless energy apparently restored, "now that we've officially fought monsters together, does that make us like... a superhero team?"

"I guess it does," Leo said, managing a smile despite his concerns.

"Awesome! I call dibs on designing our costumes!"

"Oh no," Dipper muttered.

"Oh yes!" Mabel grinned. "This is going to be the best summer ever!"

As they made their way back toward town, Leo couldn't help but agree. Despite the danger, despite the pain, despite the growing certainty that his presence was changing things in ways he couldn't predict, he'd never felt more alive.

The System had been right about one thing—fun was definitely mandatory in Gravity Falls.

Even when it was the kind of fun that could get you killed.
