Chapter 140 - Chapter 140 Trap, It's a Trap!

Hiroshi found ropes, tied up the two guards, and stashed them in the restroom to prevent alerting the enemy.

These minor figures were merely following orders, and hadn't committed any major wrongdoing, so Kenfeike Princess naturally couldn't bear to send them to their demise.

With the minor trouble resolved, and as noon approached, Doraemon spread out his gourmet tablecloth and called everyone to eat, making a joyful ruckus.

"Come, eat quickly, Qibo."

"Wow, these foods look so delicious! Mr. Raccoon, are you a wizard?"

Qibo's eyes sparkled with admiration as he looked at Doraemon; children loved performances that seemed like magic tricks.

"I'm not a raccoon!"

The smile on Doraemon's face gradually faded, and he stared at Qibo with a stern expression.

For some reason, the curry he was about to hand over suddenly didn't want to be let go.

"Children's words are innocent, children's words are innocent."

"Duo La, don't take it to heart... although what he said is true (whispering)."

Nobi Hiroshi helped smooth things over, then began discussing the plan with everyone.

The first step was to rescue Bruce, Kenfeike's personal guard captain, as only then could they re-rally the soldiers to help.

Otherwise, relying on just a few of them, the rebels would drown them with a single spit.

Although most of the dogs in the army obeyed Dabrandat's orders, there were still a few who missed the former king; as long as they could gather that strength and launch a pincer attack, that bastard Dabrandat would surely die.

They lay dormant until nightfall, and once only a few patrol guards remained in the streets, Nobi Hiroshi and the others donned their transparent cloaks and left Bruce's mansion.

Through the observations of the slacking patrol guards, they quietly arrived at the prison under the cover of the dark night.

"Penetration Ring!"

Doraemon took out a familiar gadget and placed the Penetration Ring on the wall, and a hole immediately appeared in the wall that they could freely enter and exit.

Seeing this, Kenfeike stood in place, paying tribute to the legendary raccoon wizard, while everyone else was already used to it.

They filed in; the prison guards were lax, leaning against corners dozing off, and many were gathered together playing cards and gambling.

This shouldn't be, something feels off, Nobi Hiroshi's vigilance heightened.

The dim, flickering firelight made the prison appear even more eerie.

They searched everywhere in the prison for Bruce's whereabouts, carefully passing through dark, damp corridors, avoiding the wandering jailers and guards.

"Cough, cough~"

Suddenly, a faint groan came, and Kenfeike followed the sound.

Behind the thick iron bars, there was a robust, yellow-furred dog with a cross-shaped scar on its forehead, giving off a first impression of being very difficult to mess with.

"Bruce~ Bruce~"

Kenfeike called out softly from outside the iron gate.

Looking at Bruce, who was covered in whip marks and had suffered a lot, her mood instantly shifted from excitement to guilt.

"Who's calling me? That voice is!"

Bruce's half-closed eyes regained their sparkle, and he quickly approached the door, but the corridor was empty, not even a dog's shadow.

"Your Royal Highness, is that you!"

Bruce sniffed with his dog nose, his rough voice unable to suppress his excitement.

Although he couldn't see anyone, the unique scent of each dog was unmistakable.

"Yes, I'm back."

"Bruce, keep your voice down, don't attract the guards."

Kenfeike pouted her pink lips, shushing him.

Fortunately, no guards came during this time, and Doraemon quickly unlocked Bruce's chains, preparing to escape the prison the way they came.

The transparent cloaks weren't enough, so they had to show themselves to lead Bruce.

However, just as they were about to cross the sky bridge, Nobi Hiroshi suddenly stopped, noticing some details that could be fatal.

Why had all those dozing and gambling guards disappeared? The surroundings were eerily quiet; the prison shouldn't be this silent!

"Hiroshi, why did you stop? Let's run!"

Fat Tiger and the others turned to Nobi Hiroshi, urging him to hurry.

"No, go back quickly!"

Hiroshi said anxiously, pulling everyone back into the prison with his telekinesis without explanation.

"Chirp, chirp, chirp~~~"

Countless sounds of breaking air came, and a rain of arrows shot from the opposite side of the sky bridge.

Countless torches lit up from the darkness, horns blared, and countless enemy troops surged from all directions, surrounding the prison tightly.

"That was close, I almost became a hedgehog. Thank you, Hiroshi..."

Fat Tiger lay on the ground, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, speaking with lingering fear.

"It's all enemies outside, we're done for, help me, Mom!!!"

Xiao Fu was still performing consistently.

By now, everyone realized that this rescue of Bruce was a trap set by Dabrandat and his forces.

No wonder the defense was so lax; most likely, some mechanism was installed at the cell door, and they would be detected as soon as someone was rescued.

"Your Royal Highness, I knew you would return, but I didn't expect you to return so quickly, and even bring a few monkeys as helpers..."

"Now you are surrounded by us, so just come out and surrender!"

A dog general slowly walked out from the ranks, clad in a black cloak, wearing a raven-feathered black helmet, and heavy dark armor.

He came alone to the sky bridge, one eye covered with an eye patch, his single eye making him appear even more ferocious.

With his hand on a long sword, his temperament was extraordinary, and his oppressive aura directly crushed Bruce; he was clearly a ruthless sword master.

"Saberu, it's you again?"

Kenfeike poked her head out, her face filled with dread as she clenched her fists; it seemed they wouldn't be able to leave this place safely so easily.

"Saberu, you traitor, is it so good to be Dabrandat's lackey?"

Bruce's dog face was full of anger; if he weren't weaker than the opponent, he would have already attacked.

"No, Your Royal Highness is the traitor. You killed His Majesty the King and have no ambition, only content to stay in one corner."

Saberu said nonchalantly, clearly a warmonger.

He drew his long sword and said coldly, "Everyone charge! Any who dare to resist will be killed without mercy."

As his words fell, large numbers of soldiers, armed with weapons, rushed across the sky bridge, while Bruce forcefully closed the prison door, but it wouldn't hold for long.

Even more terrifyingly, heavy footsteps also came from the stairs; the enemy was truly watertight, and an ambush had been set up on the roof in advance.

Everyone quickly grabbed swords from the weapon racks to resist, and Doraemon handed the shrinking light, which was usable now, to Shizuka for self-defense, distributing a batch of glue guns with little offensive power, only capable of pranking people, for self-preservation.

Bruce and Kenfeike had sword skills, so ordinary guards couldn't do anything against them.

No wonder Kenfeike's white legs were so tender and strong; a loli who had learned martial arts was a big plus.

She moved like lightning, her twin pigtails swaying lightly in the air with her movements, as if they were the rhythm of her battle.
