Chapter 80 - 80

Although Russell had secured his first order from the military, selling the low-spec entry-level Zaku armor to them at a decent price,

his military industrial enterprise hadn't even set up its framework yet.

To take over the military orders that originally belonged to Stark Industries, relying solely on Unit 3 and Peter was far from enough.

Even if they were treated like donkeys on a production line, it still wouldn't work.

Therefore, Russell had to establish a proper military industrial enterprise.

Since that was the case, it was essential to leverage General Ross's identity and connections.

"If it's just these things, it's indeed very simple!"

General Ross had already braced himself for the worst.

Unexpectedly, what Russell wanted was this.

For him, this was no problem at all.

Compared to the military order he had promised earlier, this request was exceptionally simple.

"I said just now, I can be quite easy to talk to sometimes."

After resolving the matter with Banner, Russell had no intention of staying at Culver University.

He had already done everything he needed to do.

What remained was a matter between General Ross and Banner.

Before leaving, he specifically reminded General Ross.

Don't be fooled by Banner looking like a normal person now; who knows when his transformation ability might return.

To avoid General Ross dying before fulfilling his promise, Russell felt it was necessary to remind him.

New York.

Octopus Lab.

After leaving Culver University, Russell returned directly to the lab.

Just as he was about to take a break before going out to do a good deed in the evening, his phone suddenly rang.

Looking at the unfamiliar number on the screen, he frowned slightly.

Although he didn't deliberately keep his contact information secret, not many people knew his phone number.

After connecting the call, a familiar voice came through.

"Did you develop the Zaku armor?"

Without any pleasantries or small talk, Tony asked directly.

"Your information is quite well-informed!"

Russell had only sold the armor to the military that morning.

Just half a day later, Tony had already received the news.

As expected of the military's former top supplier!

"Don't change the subject. Is the Zaku armor you sold to the military really something you developed?" Tony continued to ask.

"Mr. Stark, think about it with your clever big head, do I look like someone who would develop armor?"

"I did design a part of the Zaku armor, but I didn't develop it."

Russell was telling the truth; he did participate in some of the design.

The Zaku's appearance and its reduced performance were decisions he made.

"I looked at the armor's technical parameters you gave the military. The heat hawk is quite good, but the others are a bit ordinary. Didn't your development team think about upgrading its performance?"

Upgrading performance?

Are you kidding? If the performance was upgraded, it wouldn't be this price!

"You didn't call just to ask about this, did you?"

Russell questioned Tony in return.

"Of course not!" Tony quickly said.

"I originally thought you were just a killer with superpowers, but I didn't expect you to be interested in high-tech products like armor."

"Remember what I told you last time? I also developed a suit of armor. Are you interested in coming over to take a look? Its performance is definitely better than your Zaku armor!"

Although he couldn't see Tony's face, Russell could roughly imagine Tony's current expression, the kind of look a child has when they get a new toy and want to show it off to other kids.

"Better performance than my Zaku armor, are you sure?"

"Of course! While your Zaku armor is also quite good, compared to mine, it's still lacking."

"If you don't believe me, you can come and see for yourself!"

Tony said with full confidence.

"Since you've said so, it would be too unreasonable for me not to go and take a look."

"How about in a couple of days, Saturday?"

Russell thought for a moment and said slowly.

Although he didn't know which armor Tony had developed, he wasn't concerned about that at all.

Whether it was Mark 2 or Mark 3, neither could be a match for the Zaku form of the Symbiote Armor.

"Saturday? Why wait two days? Are you very busy?"

Tony asked somewhat puzzled.

"Not busy, but you just reminded me, so I plan to upgrade the armor in the next two days!"

Russell came up with a random excuse.

"Upgrading the armor? Okay, then I'll wait for you for two days. I'll send you the address later!"

After speaking, Tony hung up the phone.

11 PM.

After completing the 'Daily Good Deed' serum prestige mission, Russell returned to his apartment.

The next day.

Russell was in his office planning the establishment of the Octopus military industrial enterprise and considering whether to contact Bucky again to see if Hydra could also contribute some effort.

Just then, his phone rang.

Another unfamiliar number!

After connecting, he heard General Ross's voice.

Uh...

He could tell right away it was the kind of voice that indicated a very bad mood!

"Where are you now?" General Ross asked.

"New York. What's up? Another commission?"

Russell replied casually.

"Yes, another commission!"

"What kind of commission?"

"Banner! Banner escaped!"

Although Russell had anticipated that Banner might escape from General Ross, he didn't expect Banner to be so efficient.

It had only been one night, and Banner had already run off!

Russell silently mourned for General Ross for a few seconds, then slowly said, "What exactly happened?"

"What else could have happened? Banner transformed again!"

"He transformed into the Green Giant again, broke through the specially customized cage, injured the guards, and took Betty with him!"

General Ross suppressed his anger and quickly explained the circumstances of Banner's escape.

"You want to commission me to catch him again?"

"Only you have the ability to capture Banner alive right now. Who else would I look for if not you!"

"Whatever your terms are, as long as I can do it, I promise you!"

It was clear that General Ross was truly a bit worked up now.

But thinking about it, it was also normal.

A target he had been pursuing for several years, finally caught.

Yet, in less than 24 hours, the target had escaped from his grasp!

If he escaped, so be it. At most, he would just start over.

However, Banner had also taken General Ross's only daughter, Betty, with him!

If Russell were General Ross, he would be feeling like killing Banner right now.

"General, you might not understand me very well. I don't have much interest in commissions with the same content."

"Also, General, you still owe me two rewards that haven't been paid yet. Before you fulfill your promises, you should find someone else!"

Although catching Banner again wasn't too difficult, Russell didn't intend to accept General Ross's commission.

He had already given General Ross a lot of face.

If it were someone else, he wouldn't have accepted this kind of promise-based reward.

PS: Thanks to 'Who Knows It Was All A Dream' for the reward, thank you for your support~
