[ Rogers said: "I suggest starting with his scepter. It may possess magical powers, something akin to Hydra's weapons." ]
[ Fury replied: "I can't say for sure, but it's powered by the Cube." ]
[ Thor said: "I want to know how Loki is using it." ]
[ Fury frowned: "He's managed to turn two of my most reliable agents into his puppets." ]
[ Tony glanced at Dr. Banner. "Dr. Banner, let's get to work." ]
The live stream erupted with chatter as the audience listened in, curiosity spreading like wildfire.
"Wait, is the scepter powered by the Cube?"
"Isn't that the same Cube they've been chasing?"
"Maybe Loki's using some strange method. Even Thor seemed puzzled by how it works."
"Fury sounds bitter... Barton and Dr. Eric must mean a lot to him."
"Hydra, that was from Rogers' time, right?"
"Yeah, it sounds like Hydra once used the Cube."
"So, this Cube has been around for ages, passing through countless hands?"
"Now everything rides on Tony and Dr. Banner cracking the mystery of the Cube and Loki's scepter."
[ On the workbench, Loki's scepter was locked into place as Dr. Banner carefully scanned it. ]
[ Dr. Banner murmured: "Gamma readings are stable... perfectly consistent. Eric's research notes on the Cube are helpful, but processing the data will take time." ]
[ Tony, fingers flying over the console, added: "If we bypass their security and dive straight into the mainframe cluster, we'll hit 600 teraflops per second." ]
"600 teraflops?!" Gasps echoed through the Administration Bureau's holographic projection room.
"Six hundred trillion computations per second... even the Terra Federation's best supercomputers can barely achieve that!"
"Most of ours barely handle tens of millions of calculations... The difference is staggering!"
"And this is just S.H.I.E.L.D.'s computing cluster? Terra's Federation computers can't compare!"
The experts exchanged stunned glances. Even a mere calculation benchmark revealed terrifying power.
"It's like comparing a child to an adult; there's simply no competition."
[ Dr. Banner chuckled softly: "All I brought was a toothbrush." ]
[ Tony grinned: "Come by Stark Tower sometime. The top ten floors are dedicated to R&D; you'd love it. It's paradise for scientists." ]
[ Dr. Banner smiled ruefully: "Thanks, but last time I visited, I nearly leveled a street." ]
[ Tony sauntered over, smirking. "Relax, Doc. I'll give you a stress-free environment, no panic, no fear." ]
[ With a mischievous jab, Tony poked Banner, making him grunt. At that moment, Rogers strode in, his tone sharp: "Are you insane?!" ]
[ Tony didn't even glance up. "Hard to say. Can you really keep the beast under control?" ]
[ Rogers scowled. "This isn't a joke, Stark." ]
[ Tony gestured lazily at Rogers. "Life's too short not to laugh." ]
[ Rogers fixed Tony with a cold glare. "Threatening the safety of everyone on board is not amusing, Stark. No offense, Doctor." ]
[ Banner waved it off with a wry smile: "If I couldn't handle this, I wouldn't have come aboard." ]
[ Tony smirked. "You're too tense, Rogers. Loosen up." ]
[ Rogers shot him a look. "You'd do well to focus, Tony." ]
[ Tony leaned back, unimpressed. "You think I'm not paying attention? Then tell me, why did Fury assemble us now? What's he hiding? Without answers, I can't fix this." ]
[ Rogers narrowed his eyes. "You think Fury's keeping secrets?" ]
[ Tony shrugged. "He's a spy, Captain. The head spy. Secrets are his currency." ]
[ He snatched a handful of snacks and gestured at Banner. "You're thinking it too, Doc." ]
[ Banner shook his head slowly. "Honestly... I just want to finish this job and get out." ]
[ Rogers leaned closer. "Doctor, go on." ]
[ Banner sighed, removing his glasses. "Loki struck Fury where it hurt most. He called himself the light that shines on all humanity." ]
[ "I caught that line too." ]
[ Banner pointed to Stark. "And it was directed at you." ]
[ "Even without Barton leaking intel, that tower of yours would've been big news." ]
[ Rogers scoffed: "Stark Tower? The gaudy skyscraper?" ]
[ Banner studied the data in his hands. "It's completely self-sustaining thanks to an arc reactor. One unit powers it for a year." ]
[ Tony smirked. "A proof of concept. I'm kind of a big deal in clean energy circles, you know." ]
[ Banner frowned. "Then why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D. let you join the Cube project?" ]
[ "What else are they hiding in your field of expertise?" ]
The chat erupted with speculation.
"Tony's still arrogant."
"From the start, he and Rogers just don't click."
"Man, I'd love to see Rogers deck Tony right now."
"These people are a circus."
"Is anyone else starting to suspect Fury?"
"Dr. Banner's sharper than I thought. He's got layers."
"Humanity's doomed chasing energy supremacy."
"Their banter is hilarious, though."
"It takes geniuses to argue like this."
"Loki's words stirred all these doubts. He's manipulating them perfectly."
"Forget that, someone kill Loki already!"
"I bet Loki's already escaped!"
"No way, that prison looks invincible."
In the expert panel, a scientist spoke up gravely: "Stark himself said they'd need something to focus immense energy to open a portal."
Another nodded. "That means... It's destined for Stark Tower's rooftop, isn't it?"
"Exactly. It's obvious!"
Panic rippled through the experts. Tonio even yelled at the screen, demanding Stark rush home to secure the tower. But this was only a replay from a past life, a scene locked in time.
As the fragments unfolded, the sense of dread among the audience deepened.
[ Tony muttered nonchalantly: "Once my decryption software cracks S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files, I'll know everything they're hiding." ]
[ Rogers frowned. "You really think that's wise...?" ]
[ Tony held up a device. "Jarvis is already running the program. In a few hours, I'll have every secret they've buried." ]
[ Rogers glared. "No wonder they shut you out of the project." ]
[ Tony scoffed. "An intelligence agency afraid of espionage? Irony at its finest." ]
[ Rogers exhaled. "Loki's playing us. He wants chaos. If we lose focus, he wins. Orders exist for a reason." ]
[ Tony smirked. "Following orders has never been my style." ]
[ Rogers countered. "Must you turn everything into a personal statement?" ]
[ Tony leaned back, mock-shocked. "Who here's rocking the star-spangled outfit? Useless much?" ]
[ Banner intervened. "Rogers, don't you find this situation suspicious?" ]
[ Rogers shot them a cold look and strode out. "I'm finding that Cube." ]
The barrage of comments rolled in fast:
"He's right, sometimes orders are all you have."
"Agreed. In times of uncertainty, discipline is key."
"Rogers is level-headed, but Stark... he's reckless."
"Hey, don't insult Stark. He's brilliant!"
"Stark's arrogance is part of his charm."
"Generational gap, folks. They need to sit down and talk."
"Rogers is a bit too rigid, though."
"Banner's the voice of reason here."
"Still, Stark's suspicion about Fury feels valid. There's no way Fury isn't hiding something."
"This is Rogers' soldier training talking, blind trust in authority."
"And Stark's the wild card, the rebel."
"They're bound to clash. Just kill Loki already!"
As speculation boiled over, attention returned to Stark Tower. The fragments of this "past life" made the audience uneasy, whispering theories.
On-screen, Rogers slipped out of the lab and prowled the ship, forcing open a door to find a cache of weapons. Meanwhile, Black Widow approached Loki's glass cell, alone. Loki's lips curled into a sly smile, eyes glinting as he fixed them on her.
The live chat exploded:
"She's in danger! Get out of there!"
"Loki's a snake. Don't trust that grin!"
"Wow, Widow's stunning though..."
"Look at Loki's smug face. So punchable!"
"What's she doing? This feels wrong."
"I'm scared she's already under Loki's control."
As tension mounted and viewers held their breath, no one expected what came next. She was about to uncover a secret that would shock them all.
