Chapter 13 - Chapter : 13 : Hit The Height of 80,000 Feet

Staring at the soaring mecha, the chief felt as if he'd been struck by a heavy blow to the head, reeling. Such performance was just too great.

No one on Terra could hope to build something like this. And yet, here it was: a fusion of human ingenuity and artificial intelligence, memory embedded in a living system and fully developed.

The director shuddered. AI Jarvis's interaction with Tony felt deeply human; even their AI couldn't replicate this level of emotion. Jarvis's tone made hands tremble; this time, it meant something.

During the video call, the expert panel, especially those hardened military tycoons, grew silent. Just minutes ago, they'd criticized every limitation of such mecha. Now, in a blink, the machine was built, and it was already flying circles around their prototypes.

"I don't understand this level of flight performance," One admitted.

Another responded, "Jarvis contributed more than 60%, not just in building but in operational control."

"This synergy of AI and mecha is beyond expectation," Another declared, "This is a landmark for technology!"

Johan's eyes darted across the screen, struggling to describe it. This Immortal Warrior had become synonymous with mecha creation; even skeptics were awestruck; their expressions cracked with disbelief.

On the Network Forum, posts flared. One thread soared into the top five in popularity and was racing toward number three. It questioned whether the suit could be replicated on Terra. Leading scientists, "Technology Changes Life" and "I Am a Scientist", commented, seemingly armed with their past-life memories, their skills making them titans in their field.

Shock poured in:

"Wow! I nearly reached the pinnacle of my life watching Tony's ascent!"

"Once fully armed, this mecha could dominate the battlefield!"

One commenter recalled a forum of 200 engineers who failed to complete even a basic design after many nights of effort. Tony did it alone, genius.

"Compared to the Immortal Warrior's past life, I'm nothing," Someone confessed.

Discussions swirled. Was this AI-driven or human-driven? Someone uploaded fragments of the design process, schematics that blended Tony's input with Jarvis's calculations, sparking blueprints across the net. Nobody knew whether they'd succeed, but dreams had already taken flight.

In the chat, reactions poured in:

"Weapon system, hang 'em on; I want to see them!"

"Tony is an arms dealer… This mecha is a new kind of weapon!"

On the screen, Tony, piloting Mark 2, launched into the sky, trails of white flame streaming behind. Under the night sky, the mecha darted, twisting through impossible aerobatics.

"Fantastic!" Raged the crowd. The Mark 2 swooped past a Ferris wheel, then shot upward.

[ Tony called over the com: "What's the record for an SR-71 Blackbird?" ]

[ "Fixed-wing altitude record: about 85,000 feet," came the reply. ]

[ He grinned. "Records are made to be broken!" ]

[ Data flooded the screen. Speed soared, but the outer hull began to freeze. Ice crept over thrusters. Suddenly, at high altitude, the power cut out, and the mecha dropped straight down. ]

The chat blew up:

"Ah! Not good!"

"If you fall from that height… It's over!"

"Can the power return? If it does, we're fine!"

[ As he tumbled, Tony shouted, "Jarvis, deploy the tail!" ]

[ But descent accelerated. ]

[ "Come on! We've got to shed ice!" Tony urged. ]

[ With difficulty, Tony hit the tail switch. Wings snapped open, ice shattered, and power flooded back. At the last moment, just before impact, foot thrusters reignited. Mark shot away from the ground, Tony laughing with relief. ]

The live chat exploded:

"F*ck, that was so tense!"

"So exciting, those arcs, one wrong move and…"

"He's smiling through it. Scientists walk the line between lunatic and genius."

[ Later, in the sci-fi studio, Tony perched with an ice pack on his arm. ]

[ "Main sensor failed above 40,000 ft," He said. ]

[ "Booster iced too," Jarvis added, and Tony nodded. ]

[ "If we're flying to another planet, an exhaust system is needed." He sipped his drink. "Contact Sith Corp; rebuild the casing in gold-titanium alloy. Better strength, optimal weight." ]

[ Jarvis asked about renderings, and Tony replied, "Let me see." ]

[ Within seconds, under Jarvis's control, new mecha visuals appeared. Tony smirked: "Add a dazzling dash of red, keeps the style low-key." ]

[ In minutes, the color scheme was done. ]

[ "Make it," Tony said, drinking his juice. ]

[ Jarvis stated, "Automatic assembly starts and will be complete in 5 hours." ]

And in chat: "Vegetable juice? That's hardcore."
